Logs
After attending the Au revoir event, Brodie and I just had to find a few more caches before I left Adelaide and so this cache was found [^]
Having stopped here some time ago and having a DNF, I contacted the CO and so today I replaced the cache in a slightly different spot with the CO's permission.
Finally Buckland Park is off of my radar
It's only taken 5 years
I have sent the new coords and a picture to the CO so that the cache page can be updated!

Other cachers have looked high and low.
This cache may not have weathered well.
Needs a check up or a new cache to mark this useful spot with many old memories.
Thanks

We have a feeling that the cache may have been muggled by the fence erecters. Perhaps a visit is in order by the Cache Owner
What a great day it was out caching Brodie and I left home very early in the morning and did a trip up to Lochiel way for a new trail of letterbox caches.
We saw the sunrise, saw fog and low clouds, saw a blue tongue lizard crossing a bitumen road, saw a helipcopter spraying crops as it came straight towards us and I finally managed to get a couple of older caches on the western side of Port Wakefield Rd
Sadly I had 3 DNFs for the day but still had 31 finds for the day [^]
I also managed to score 8 FTFs from H to A on the letterboxes
Being the driver and in my own car today meant that I could detour where I liked and so I took the opportunity to pick up a few caches that I have been driven past numerous times before as generally the people that I cache with have found them many years prior to my starting caching!
This was one of those caches and now I can finally say that I have at least tried to find it
DNF! I came, I searched and searched amongst the soursobs. I read the only previous logs I had on my GPSr but due to my mobile not working, I could not read others. So sadly a DNF Hope this gets fixed as it's cool out here! I had a crop spraying helicopter flying above and at me as I drove one of the dirt roads into here and it would have been so cool to have added a find log instead of a DNF.

Didn't spend a heap of time searching and nothing jumped out. Would have been nice if whoever moved it provided updated coordinates. Not all bad though, we were able to drive right up to the radar.
Mattycat has camped at Buckland Park, driven rally vehicles at Buckland Park,
and regularly logged into the big radar device here more recently.
But sadly mattycat has not found a cache at Buckland Park.
The structure relating to the hints has been replaced,
a recent log speakls of the cache being moved, but no new coordinates,
and a thorough search of the much disturbed roadside land
with Mr Froghoppin revealed nothing cachelike at all.
Might need a new cache, needs some new coordinates,
but definietly needs a checkup.
Looks like work continues on fencing and roadside
Will watch and return when maintained. Thanks calumphing_four

Out with Mattycat for a warm afternoon caching near the gulf, no luck for us today despite the hopeful logs of previous finders we did not find it today but fence work is continuing and as there is still a gap under the fence one must assume some landscaping will occur on the outside eventually, as the cache has been moved some updated coordinates will be needed till next visit TFTC calumphing four
May have gone down in cloud of dust. Or definitely needs coords updated as previous finder moved cache. Walk for fifty metres each way did not reveal. Much fencing work continuing at gz. Thanks
The new fence put us off and almost gave in... then red spotted it just as we were about to walk away. Hopefully they do not slash the vegetation anytime soon, or this cache may go down in a cloud of dust!! Glad to get this smiley today. TFTC!
810th Cache Find Had our eldest geoson T stay over night & it was my day of work. We had done a few things together this morning & then decided we would check out what geocaching there was around here before I take him back home to his mum as I'm back to work tomorrow. Thank you for bringing us here, we've had fun today caching. TFTC
On a cold and overcast day, what better to do than some "drive by" style caches. This was an easy one and solved the problem of the "golf ball on a stick"

Out for a quick caching run while the wife and daughter are seeing a science show. Took all trackables in cache.

Owl was out on an expedition with CPwanderer and this was their first stop. Resisting the temptation to attempt golf the first time with the giant ball on a tee, they found the cache instead. A very strong smell of fertiliser here, which is probably why the golf ball was so large.
So I wonder what goes on in there??!! Very suspicious! And they definitely don't seem to encourage visitors!! Quick find after doing some of the mangrove caches. Thanks calumphing four.
as we drove down we could see this on the distance, now i know what it is : ) GZ had me at one spot but soon had cache in hand once i expanded the search slightly, the dog across the road let everyone know i was there when i arrived but soon shut up, there was a lot of water over the road on the corner so a u turn and we were out of there. TFTC
My son lives just down the road so it was a quick out this afternoon to find this cache.
With Shaido for a cacing day. I used to work in the area and thought why not come and get this one.
About 500m form the cache a large black dog decides it wants to run with us, at first 'he' runs in front of the car, so I have to stop fast, after he moves off to the right side of the car I move off, and he starts running with us, if I stop he stops if I move he moves, after we pass what I assume is his home we loose our escort and we make our way to GZ.
I did notice the giant Tee and Golf ball.

Darknstormy and myself were eager to get out from the warmth of home and get some exercise and some caches We have always wondered what this big white thing was and last time we ventured down this road to find out what it was we weren't caching. Now we are we had to return Thanks Calumphing four
Miss GG and I decided to go out and do some caches on our way to do a little maintenance on one of my caches..
This cache has been on the GPS for a long time, We made the effort to turn off the highway this time.
Road conditions were perfect today since the recent sprinkle we had.. kept the dust down.
Thanks for the cache calumphing_four

Found after a lovely paddle in our kayaks at Middle Beach. On our way down to Port Gawler to check out the kayaking caches there. That radar is fascinating - drove down to it to have a closer look. Looks like a giant white soccer ball. We often look up the Buckland Park radar on the BOM site - now we know what it looks like! Thanks for showing us. Left Geocoin
We were on our way home from Port Wakefield today when our curiosity got the better of us.
"What is that big white thing?" We had some time up our sleeves so we thought we'd check it out. We took two different roads before we found the closest one to it, but we got to this point, and now we know.
"Hey, I wonder if there's a cache here!" Whaddaya ya know, 22 meters away! TFTC

Heading up Pt Wakefield Rd so approached from the east. No problems in the dry today but could test the driving skills after rain. Got to GZ and couldn't believe it when I saw another car approaching from the east. Could this be another cacher?. Car turned left and drove on so it was then a quick find. TFTC
Coming up from kayaking at Port Gawler (a FTF there, yay) we decided to finally stop at this one (which was quite lucky as this was a good way to come in, the road to the north from GZ was quite muddy).
We often wonder what some people were thinking when they place caches like these out on secluded rural roads with nothing for miles around, then stick a cache in front of the only house in full view of them. For this one though, it looks like the cache pre-dates the house as it looks new and looks like they have only just moved in in the last few days as you can see their lounge stacked high with removal boxes. As we were leaving the cache, we noticed them sticky beaking our way. They had better get used to people driving up past their place, stopping at the corner, then return again.

Found whilst teaching the daugter to drive. Certainly a good place to learn off road driving especially at night with plenty of bugs and mozzies about, we should have read the logs and approached GZ from the south, fortunately there was no water about as we would hate to try and pass down this eastern approach road.

My little brother once asked what that giant golf ball was and I told him was that weather radar dad is aways watching
Dad didn't agree with me as he thought Buckland Park was south of Adelaide!

Many a Scouting adventure was had at Buckland Park. At the campsite / homestead. At Pt Gawler Land Yachting and bonnett sliding (Yes not that safe and not allowed in 2010). My uncle used to come out here to service these masts and radio things from DSTO. I use the BOM rain radar most days. Ironically it was "down"today and we met the the tech who was servicing the radar. Easy find. Took dinosaur left glass fish. TFTC
An easy find with an unusual view! Not much else out here. TNLNSL. Thanks Calumphing Four for the cache.
This one is a little out of the way. We drove out to Port Gawler expecting to see something, but there were only mangroves. I guess they are something ... Interesting note about the new housing development, nothing happening yet apart from a fair bit of rubbish dumped around the area.

Out for a drive, and thought I'd better check what's on the other end of the weather maps on the BuMet website. The gates look like they're well and truly gone, and aren't coming back in a hurry, but I thought I'd stay outside just in case - like others, I had an eerie feeling that a giant was going to come walking past with a set of golf clubs.
