DNF but it really stank so we were not really wanting to hang around too much!
Looked for a long time, got a hint from two other cachers and the owner, and still couldn't find it
Left a new log book in a snap lock bag. Hope it stays dry. Found cache fairly quickly. TN. TFTC. SL.
Had decided on Fri night when here, that this will wait till daylight.
So very early this morning, in the mist, off came the socks & shoes and in I went for the find on a VERY WET logbook.
TNLN
Hard to write in the log book!
Thanks

Salt Creek is flowing very strongly into the Coorong - a few inches below the bridge. TFTC.
Number 16 on The Coorong Cache 'N' Camp. Had to Wade across the river to get to this one. Very wet though. TFTC TNLN
Thanks for the hunt- a nice and easy one. found in between the showers - no muggles to be seen. SL TNLN
A nice cache fairly easily found on our way home from SA to Vic. Took smerf and left smiley face button
[red]We finally found it, after looking all the possible places where the cache could be.
[blue]We saw some ducks and swans but sadly they didn't give us any clues.

a quick stop on the way home from the big smoke found ok after getting itchy forearms.tnln cheers
Time for a quick pit stop and icecream. A great sunny day for the final day of our holidays (it rained the rest of the week - not that it really mattered, it was such a novelty to drive in the pouring rain!). The new GPS couldn't make up its mind where it wanted to go, this side or that side. Oh well, we needed the exercise! Don't remember if we swapped anything or not.
Cheers and thanks.
PS: We stopped at the van outside Meningie and bought some nice fresh mullet to take home - yum!

15:32 Found on our Touring Tassie and Beyond 2009 Trip!
It just goes to show how long it's been since I've been down to the Mount if I haven't done this one!
A quick stop on our way home to Adelaide from Tassie via Mt Gambier. Plenty of petrol left in the tank today, so no need to stop for any. Given the amount of food in the car we didn't need to stop for any supplies either

We stopped for a coffee and looked around and checked the phone and 2 caches showed up. This was easy and a few birds on the water made it better. The fishing looks good here and would like to stay awhile but must keep going. Thanks for a good hide

Strange little place for a cache, just the place for a fisherman, but we were on a road trip with a deadline so apparently wetting a line was out of the question.
Took a TB and signed the log, TFTC.
Find #529 for Echo & Spice.

Took a little while to find due to heavy muggle activity, TN Left Big Ben Geocoin. TFTC. [^]
Easy find, as it was out in the open. Signed and replaced where I believe it should be. 6th for today at 1330 hrs.
We had actually driven past this one, after doing What Rig is That, before I organised the next finds on the GPS's. We backtracked to make the kill.
Cheers

Looked a bit awkward crawling under the thorny bush but the cache was soon in hand.

Found it quite quickly. Lots of duck treats on the ground to dodge. Dinner was a bit further down the road so no mullet for us.

I didnt try the local fare although they looked and smelt great. Only an ice block for me today. I loved sitting by the small waterway watching the blackswand and ducks. A beautiful spot that I would have whizzed by, if it wasn't for geocaching!

You need to crawl a bit to get to the cache, to make it more difficult I added a new stone over the cache. In went the "handy"-smurf (explains the stone) and out a small kangaroo.
A bit of climbing to find this one but no problem all looking good. Thanks for a break in our trip. No mullet and chips for us today.
We prefer flathead, but we stopped by to check it out anyway.
It wasn't difficult to locate and we didn't get wet feet either.

Nice hide but isn't the possibility of wet feet worth another half star? Thanks shonky.
Looked pretty hard on both sides of the river, we were all too chicken to get onto the island for a look. So second DNF for the day.
dropped off TB we picked up in new zealand for some lucky traveller to pick up and move on.
interesting spot. was watched by muggles - thinking we were doing a drug drop off.
Found the cache at 3.25pm. Excellent hide spot. SL. Thanks a shonky frog for organising the cache and hunt.
First find for the day on my fourth day out down south.
This was find 58 of 61.
Pity it was so early in the morning I would have loved to have had lunch here.

Our third and final find on our drive from Mt Gamier to Cape Jervis. Renie slipped, fell back and landed onto one of the smaller rocks - ouch! She's OK. Bob circled about the larger rock and found the cache. TNLNSL. TFTC!
It was that time again when Team Nibbler (family) plus one go camping

Had to stop today for a pitstop and bingo theres a cache just over there. An easy find. Was surprised by the flow of water at this time of year. TFTC
Found on our Melbourne to Adelaide road trip and caching adventure. Very quick find (and it had to quick with the temperature 38deg) next to some of the only flowing water for miles and miles. TNLN TFTC
Be careful here as the bridge is out. The samphires were blooming. [^]
Clear skies, TeamAstro.

Found by edmil & maddie. A nice little stop for a break. The cache was found on our way to Robe. We'd done a big circuit from Melb - inland to Adelaid then on our way to Robe via the coast. The cache was a quick find. We signed the logs but took nothing from the cache. Thanks for the cache placement. We now know that this area has a bit to offer so we are likely to come back and explore further.
Found alongside Salt Creek. The water flowing in here at the moment is coming from Morella Basin which is a wetland filled with the saline water from the drains helping to deal with dryland salinity in the Upper South East region. Cheers. MODU.
Hot day stopped for Ice Blocks and a quick cache.
On way back home, Adelaide Hills, after 5 beautiful days camping in the Coorong. Breaking up the trip home with caches 3/5, Easy find. Made some swaps. TFTC

Perhaps today in the 44 degree heat this cache could be named 'mullet, chips and ten thousand flies for 6'. A quick find in an attempt to return to the airconditioned car. TFTC. We have eaten at this roadhouse before and are glad we are not camping nearby this week!!
Found on our way back to Adelaide with the temperature gauge slowly creeping up and so too the number of flies that seem to be waiting for us each time we opened the door. TFTC

A mullet is a hairstyle that is short in the front, top, and sides, but long in the back. It's also described as "business in the front, party in the back". The hairstyle was popular during the late 20th Century.
"There's nothing quite as bad as a bad haircut. And perhaps the worst of all is the cut we call the Mullet."
There are currently only 11 geocaches world wide containing the keyword Mullet.
For stealth to know we have a Pajero he must have been watching. Perhaps stalking in stealth mode.
Maybe he was put off by the occasional appearance of Toad of Toad Hall who was on the scene watching his son in law and wandering about his sanity.
The son in law of course knew exactly where the cache was located.

Nice quick find, although we had to play tourist until the muggle went away. I had the mullet and chups when we had lunch there afterwards. Not bad, but probably not a fish I'd go out of my way to eat again. Cheers Gav [1389]
A lovely spot, lovely to get a bit wet. As the rest of the team said - we stopped for lunch. I had the mullet, and I also wouldn't probably do so again - too salty for me. TNLN, Thanks.
Lovely spot down by the river and nice to cool off the feet in the water. Had a sit down lunch at the roadhouse and some of the team tried the mullet and chips. Many thanks.
Found under muggle scrutiny, the joy of caching in large numbers. Mullet &chips for lunch, very tasty.

Cache # 7 of 10 today. I thought I'd parked on the wrong side of the creek, and followed my GPS across the stepping stones to the other side, only to discover that it now pointed back to the original side. From there it was an easy find.
My thanks to shonkylogic for the cache.

Laughed at the last log in the book and glad I didn't get coffee! The geotrail surely helped. Thanks
What a night we had camping down the road from here. The weather was still fine but on sunset the mozzies came out by the billions and we where forced to retreat inside the tent. The outside of the tent had turned black with the amount of mozzies trying to get in and we are sure at one point they tried to fly off with the tent. We did not have to put up with them for long as a huge storm blew in from the sea. The rain was blowing the tent sideways and was doing its best to pull the tent pegs out and fly off somewhere warmer. The best part was the rain would come in showers that did not last for long but did come on very fast and heavy. Went to a nearby picnic shelter to pack up the tent and have some breakfast before setting off.
