19/09/2024 11:47Well, we got to GZ only to find a fence around the object of attention. Now a fence is there for a reason, and climbing over it is not one of them, no matter how challenging it may seem. Perhaps the fence was not in place when the cache was published (2007). Is it any wonder that the name of Geocaching has bad vibes in some local government areas.**Suggest CO reassess the location of this cache.**
A little free climbing to retrieve this cache by my caching partner for the afternoon, cccl23.A very nice hide this one.therefore deserves a favourite pointTFTC
Found out on an afternoon caching run with Cheezel1961.No TOTT no problem!!Signed and returned.Great hide!!TFTC!
Travelled south to attend The Great Leap Forward in Adelaide, my first trip there. The Event was great and collecting as many caches as possible before heading to Canberra. Caching as 5 for QLD - RoddyC, Snickersallen, Hatzofff, grannysmith1947 and me. I have enjoyed all of this venture, weather, scenery, friends and the list goes on. TFTC
After over seven weeks on the road, I'm back home and finally catching up on all my logging.Caching in South Australia was fantastic, so many good hides to find, and we found ourselves zigzagging all over the place doing lots of geoart but of course ran out of time to get everything done on our to-do list. The majority of caches we found were in great condition and well maintained, which is a credit to all the CO's who placed them, so thank you.Our logs were mostly signed as 5 for QLD to save room on the log sheets, and no doubt, we'll be back again in the future
TFTC smile out and about on a lovely day having a great time finding a few caches in Adelaide heading to cache Down south today signing as 5 for Qld Hatzofff Snickersallan RoddyC Imbunda , what a great team we made and lots of laughter and fun Thank you Zytheran for placing this cache for our enjoyment
Settling into another phase of our southern journey our travels taking us to a few more challenging challenges.Nice to get this one.Caching with and signing as 5 for QLD.TFTCache Zytheran
In Adelaide for a couple of weeks.Another busy day - here there and everywhere. Again signing as 5 for QLD. This morning we have a really early start (before sunrise) into the Adelaide Hills. Great puzzle, and great hide. Just like the ones in Brissy.Log signed and cache replaced as found on March 9, 2024. TFTC, Zytheran
A cache collected after a feed and fill of firewater at a pub that welcomes Qlders. My part was the easiest and no I didn't solve the puzzle. A variation to infinite monkey theorem applies here in my ability to hit keyboard keys at random for an infinite amount of time will almost surely give me a solution to this puzzle. Well not quite but its so much easier when smart BOLD members solve it prior to leaving Qld.I then volunteered to climb the structure and eventually found the cache with the phone torch held in place by my teeth while I scrambled. What wasn't appreciated was all the ooohs and aaahs from the ground level peanut gallery as I'm quite capable of making my own sound effects!! Another great puzzle Zytheran, thanks for your contribution to South Aust and Qld caching!
Out and about collecting more smilies. Signed with Leap mega team nickname BOLD7. Thanks for hiding and maintaining the cache.
Oh My, not sure what day number it is or what caches I did yesterday, been caching for a while and the days and the caches just run into each other. With the Leap Day event over and the Grapes done yesterday, I am looking forward to a morning of small walks and then to finish the day off with some target caching around town. It will still be a long day as well that's what I'm here to do, lol. To save space on log sheets we signed as BOLD 9. Adelaide is proving to be somewhat of a great place to live. The atmosphere and the people seem to be just nice. While i have ventured out of town a little there are some really nice pockets, I will admit there does not seem to be any bad areas as such that I have come into. Thanks for the caches today and the hides, all were replaced as they were found, sorry for the generic logs but I did find a good number again today.
BOLD7 spent the day galivanting around collecting many a cache and having a blast! Cheers to all the COs for fab caches. Not being a fan of heights I was glad TeamARF was brave enough to do the retrieval but sweaty palms still ensued!
How very exciting the big trip has finally arrived! Down from Brisbane with a host of other geo friends with plans aplenty, enough to almost see us needing to extend or make a return visit. Our geonick for the trip is BOLD7 which is guaranteed to save the log paper for the 7 individual members of the team. As we make our way around sadly there wont be time for the usual individual logs and therefore just the old generic log will have to do. With little extra notes here and there if needed. Thank you for your cache which has added to my wonderful caching holiday.
We finally managed to stay awake/sober long enough to grab this. Team art made the daring retrieval. TFTC.
#21848 @1410Today was chasing some higher D/T fishing caches from the Barossa series with ZQX, Fox in Jox and AngelG, before heading back into Adelaide grabbing some more solved puzzles on the way. Soon spied the cache. A challenging cache to retrieve. TFTC.
Cache # 11037 on 1 Mar 2024Mega time! This is my first mega in South Australia so am very excited to have made it here from the ACT. Arrived Wednesday by plane and leaving Adelaide on Saturday for a road trip back to the ACT. Travelling mostly with Fox in Jox, TikvaNZ and ZQX, but also with others intermittently. Looking forward to grabbing a wide variety of caches while here! Today we headed to the Barossa Valley to pick up a selection of the Barossa power trail caches which we had solved prior to the trip. Then a slow trip back to Adelaide via a number of caches that ZQX had prepared with a few others thrown in for good measure. Around 40 all up for the day! Solved the first bit fairly easily, but while I knew the basics of the second step, the implementation was unusual enough that a hint was needed. The information was soon obtained and GZ plotted. At GZ, TikvaNZ did the collect. Thank you Zytheran for the cache and the fun!
Found with friends. Full log to followTough puzzle, executed a little differently to how we do these in Canberra.
In SA for the Great Leap Forward with AngelG, TikvaNZ and ZQX. Today is the Barossa region and other caches east of Adelaide.Solved this before setting off for Adelaide. Wow, that's a different approach to the cipher type.Near gz, the team spied the container and TikvaNZ made the find. TFTC Z
Day 5 of our week-long Leap Day Mega trip with BJA3 & Team 737.Quick find here today with no issues. Thanks for placing this hide for us and others to enjoy finding!
#7488 Happy leap day! Were exploring around the mega this morning, grabbing what we can.Samuel did the climbing at GZ. Nice one We needed a lot of help to get the coordinates here...Thanks for the cache!
#7488Day 2 (sorta) of our Adelaide trip for the Great Leap Forward mega.OCW Team Barritts and BJA3After arriving late last night and getting a solid 1 cache, we decided that we had to make an early start this morning to smash out some more CBD surrounding ones before heading to the mega! end copy paste We were just sitting, having some lunch and we had a look at our solved list and spotted this one not too far away, didn't expect anything super special, just a tree climb or something, but upon further inspection, it had to be something different. After eating, we drove a few hundred meters and parked in a side street and made our way to GZ. I spotted what I would be ascending and after a bit of manoeuvring, I clambered up and spotted the cache, then sent it down to the ground crew for signing. TNLN SL, awesome cache! Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache Zytheran
Nice quick park and hunt. Being a warm day the object was hot to touch. Made the ascent and find, signed and replacedTFTC SL
This evening I took the geopuppies for a walk 'n cache around the Felixtow Linear Park trails, targeting a couple of Adventure Labs and a few other caches along the way.
Had a set of coords on my solved list for a while, after receiving help from a previous finder.
Noted the attribute of "Difficult Climbing" so this should be a bit of fun... and it was!
Couldnt see the cache from ground level, so made the ascent and found it quickly. Descended, signed the log and climbed back up to replace it. Good fun!
Thanks for the fun adventure in this one Zytheran!

A morning run picking up a few that had already been found by other members of the group but where the Adder was unable to join. Then meeting a Starfish after lunch to continue seeking newer hides in areas that had previously been cleared.
A Z puzzle that had been driven past many many times but had not until now had been searced for. The hardest part was scaling the access barrier. The mind says the body can bend and stretch but the muscles say no.
The prize soon in hand and then returned.
Thank you for the cache Zytheran, found 3/03/2022, 3:38:02 PM

Was in the area for a recent night cache and after finding that had a look around to see what else could be found. This one was quite close so headed for GZ where I realized where I needed to be and that it was the ideal time of day to be there. A quick over and up, get stamp in log while up there, then down and out with no passing muggles at all.
Thanks Zytheran putting this cache up there for me to find

Sir_spectre, allister w, and JJ52 joined me for anothr geocaching adventure. We were on a BFE hunt But as always we managed to find a few others as we were passing nearby. A beautiful day to get out and visit the northern suburbs with some great friends.
Thanks to Zytheran from mogni

Driving trucks in construction takes you all types of places and if you take notice of your surrounding you can sometimes spot likely puzzle gz's. I have noticed that the co does like this type of structure. Allister w made the climb. After a short time found the cache, on his 2nd pass it think.
A group of cachers banded together to go out and have some much needed laughs ( and find a few caches ) now that the covid 19 restrictions are slowly winding back. Those cachers where sir_spectre, Mogni, Allister W, and JJ52. All logs today where stamps with the new " JAMS " stamp. The target today was to get a wherigo for this calendar month for sir_spectre, a multi on this calendar day for mogni and as many " REEL " caches as could north and east of the city. Any other caches where a bonus as we passed. Some caches found today one or more of the party had found, some one or more of the party had solved but not found, even 2 puzzles were jet skied. Again thanking BFE for mentoring through some of his puzzles found today.

A caching day was organised with sir_spectre, mogni, allister w and JJ52 heading out to the badlands targeting some BFE caches with a few others that we happened to be passing where one of us had solved the puzzle or had previously found the cache. We stamped all the logs with the new stamp "JAMS". [^]
I had previously solved (and found) some of the puzzles, but there were quite a few that I must now solve when I can sit down for a period of time to devote to those puzzles. Quite a number of BFE puzzles I had already found so was able to help in some instances with the finding of the cache. It was interesting revisiting some of the caches that I found in 2014.
On a beautiful day for caching we had a fun time and found lots of caches as we zig zagged around the north eastern suburbs.
We sent Allister up for this one for a reasonably quick find.
Thanks for the cache Zytheran.

Out with Sir Spectre, mogni and JJ52 to find some caches north of the city. A great day weather wise and good company. TFTC Zytheran
After rock climbing earlier in the evening with Brad&Janet and bella at waggy at Morialta, followed by a walking detour to Pretty Corner, a *TOTT series* geocache completed, bella at waggy suggested we head to this geocache as a final location for tonight. I was already likely in trouble with my partner, since I had mentioned I would be home before dinner, and so I decided that being a little more late home probably didn't matter too much.
This felt like a rather fun one to complete, and didn't realise the notes on this geocache was the recommendation to complete this one late at night / past 10 p.m. It was only 7:00 p.m. when we came past, although in the middle of winter and the cold, it was dark and cold, with only one other muggle passing us during our visit. bella at waggy made the first ascent up, and was unsuccessful. He searched the various intricates of the structure, and so I made a PAF to a previous finder, who mentioned where it should have been. I then had an attempt, and found the cache where it should have been. The lack of lighting and nicely camouflaged container probably helped to hide this cache. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. bella at waggy then made the final ascent up to re-hide the container, and all was then good. Thanks Zytheran for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Having looked at this one before there were too many passing muggles so having been at another cache with Davidwazza under torch light I suggested this one to make it my second climb of one of these to today. We headed over and made the climb only to miss the hint. Davidwazza then had a turn and made the find. For my miss I had to climb again to re hid. TFTC
Kettle Twin 2 has discovered that some mind bending, puzzle solving brain twisting is the perfect preparation for uni exams. (or else it is perfect procrastination for the study that you should be doing). Either way, some of the metal cipher puzzles moved from the unsolved to the solved pile in the past week.
What good is the mind bending solving without the thrill of clamouring up and down some dodgy man made structure in the dark? Well you can't sign the log with out it... and it's fun!
Gets a favourite point from us!

After completing the drains caches this morning, e.gregory1 had solved this one, and as we were close by we headed over to have a look at this one to see what was required. Arrival at GZ, I made the easy claim despite the muggle thoroughfare no one stopped to question us. Was great to find the cache all in good order after 2.5 years of being found.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
This puzzle has been on my 'solved' list for quite a while but despite driving by it many times, I'd just never got around to looking for it.
This morning gridge98 and I were nearby and decided to have a look. We soon worked out where it might be and gridge98 did the honours. The cache and contents were in good condition.
Another nice one to get off the list, and over two and a half years since the last find.
Thanks Zytheran for the puzzle and the cache.

Out with Moneydork & hevwalker completing some puzzle caches after the SAGA event.
A perfect night to do some caching & to grab this one.
Moneydork had the correct equipment required, therefore he had the joy of retrieving it.

Muff1 were in town for a few days and we had spent the last two days and nights caching together. The first day we braved the badlands and the second the City. Tonight there would be a puzzled puzzlers meeting so Muff1 and I arrived early and headed out for a few caches until the others arrived. As had been the case the previous two nights we were after quality and not quantity. A call to another cacher who would be finishing work and looking for things to do before the meeting resulted in Anymules joining us. [:o]
Anymules was in work clothes so I gladly volunteered to do the retrieve. I have been on one of these before for a Zee cache and that was twice this size. So was the one in Inverleigh Victoria. Bet neither of them had a structure around them to keep people off. I had more trouble with the surrounds than the structure. No body looking and up I went, grabbed the prize and down again with nobody the wiser. Thanks Zytheran for yet another.

Stopped by this one after work as I'd heard some other people were going to be nearby. Met them at GZ, borrowed a pen (as mine was still in the geomobile) and signed the log. All dressed in work clothes adding to the fun.

A cache that we needed help with, so many out there that we have no idea on and yet some look hard and are really quite easy, guess it depends on where your expertise lies. Brisal5 retrieved this one for all of us, thankyou. SL TFTC
Have had this worked out for some time but the GZ has always been bustling ..... day and night. Today I returned with Andy Colombia and, sure enough a guy in a high viz vest was walking in circles doing some sort of surveying! Eventually he moved away and Jan from A.C. covered the last 5m. for us!!!! Quite kly found, signed and returned!!! Thanks Zytheran for the challenge.
What a day!! We went to visit our geofriend Chris and we finished getting this puzzle. Have to admit that I've been in the final location too many times and never imagined that there will be a cache. Amazing and crazy at the same time Tftfun
Ps... Retrieved the cache was a real adventure due to a worker muggle in the area But it didn't stop us for find it

The GZ has been in my sights for a while, waiting for a quiet night when I can sneak up
in darkness, unnoticed by passers by, and grab the prize.
Not so tonight... Purrfect Di and Mr and Mrs Froghoppin all shining torches like spotlights
to guide my way, and the odd flash too. Happy to return to safety, a few more platinum hairs in the cat fur!

What a puzzle!
Tin, Bronze, Silver and Gold. I served my time on these. But this one! Night after night of trying this and trying that. Nothing.
But tonight after returning from success at both Tangrams and Beyond Ultraviolet, I thought maybe have another go.
And suddenly something appeared through the mist. And there it was. Clear.
Now all I have to do is sign the log before midnight for the Z hat trick for the day.
All I have to do....
I know where I have to go. I am not all that happy. Maybe rockclimbing geo-son is free?
No sorry dear old dad, I am busy with my friends.
Janet?
Err no.
Okay. How hard can it be?
Well the logs show the cache was replaced by the last finders. Hopefully that one is still there.
So here I am, in a location I am not at all happy with, and I can find nothing. Everywhere I look and feel including stretching right up to feel the very top of the structure. Nothing there.
It's gone again
Time to move back in the direction of safety and I guess I'd better keep checking. Finally I am feeling a bit less overextended when... what's that?
Twist my hand this way, and suddenly there's a cache in my hand! Woohoo!
Now to sign the log without becoming one of my own customers. Cache open. Log out. Pen out. Date. Name. Reseal log, close inner bag, back in cache, close and replace. Hold on at same time - hold on a lot.
Now to return to a more normal gravitational relationship with the planet.
TFTC Zytheran.
Also thanks to M!, TM, and 4Z for providing the replacement cache, and again to *CoC* for the continued encouragement.

CACHING Member - Cachers Against Canned Hunting In Nomadic Groups
With some trepidation I decided to tackle this cipher of incredibly precious metal. What the hell do I do with a grid of colours?? Looked like a Dulux colour chart. A little bit of this and a little bit of that and eventually a couple of words started to fall out......then a couple more words........then a bundle of words that actually made sense.
After some discussions with Malco! about its presence or absence we brought along a previous finder to act as a check. It is clear, someone (council likely) has been in the vicinity of GZ and the cache is a goner. Well, here's one I prepared earlier (just in case). With some 4Z guidance, the replacement was located as per the original. No weather concerns anymore.
Platinum - valuable
Solving platinum - awesome

Rounded up some expert cachers, some of whom had found this one before, and headed on down to GZ. Sent up a red shirt (of which we had several on hand) to do a bit of scaling, and confirmed that this one had been removed.
Tiger Muffin produced a replacement and, after a brief ceremony, it was sent up by the 4-1Zimmers.
All good. Another long time cache finally put to rest. Still got a couple of ciphers to find but they'll have to wait for another day.
Thanks for the cache, Zytheran .

I had the opportunity to look for this one today, but I reckon it's gone, which is a bummer after all the times I tried but the conditions were'nt right - be it muggles or knots.
The good news is that you no longer have to watch the weather forecasts as someone has taken care of that.
Will come back later I guess.

Ahhh so close.... I can see it but it's about 5 metres out of reach. Too many muggles today for an attempt.
What a fun day!
I headed out to meet a fellow cacher at 12.30pm and finally returned home at 11pm. [))]
I attempted 15 caches today and managed to locus cache on all of them [:0]
There were two FTFs and two STFs and lots of lovely dirt roads to drive on too [^]
Thankfully for me, not only had The4Zimmers solved this puzzle but he had also offered to retrieve the cache for me... although in the end it was the eldest Jnr The4Zimmers who made the retrieval.
Thank you, gentlemen, for your help and company in the early part of my day

Gotcha!
Finally!
Got stumped by this puzzle several months ago. But then 6-8 weeks back, locus-cache, who had locused it, asked if I would come along one day and retrieve it. (It is 4 star terrain! Not one for the faint hearted!) I decided that I would not sign without solving first. It took another couple of weeks, and some assistance from a friend, but finally the GZ was obtained.
But then the waiting game commenced... Waiting for the right weather conditions... It seemed that every time I was nearby, conditions made it too dangerous. But today..?? Beautiful and perfect conditions for a safe retrieval. The actual retrieval and replacement was performed by the 14yo of the crew. Nice work lad!
After this, it was off for a stroll, chat, and a couple of other nearby caches

Thanks Z
The final cipher cache retrieval for the night.
Cipher Platinum had me completely bamboozled for a long time and I consider this the hardest of all the metal ciphers. The amount of permutations I tried is enough to write a book about. If Electrum, Titanium and Iridium are 5 stars, this one was 6 stars to me.
A hibernian mythical creature confirmed the nature of the puzzle a few weeks ago and even then it wasn’t until I tried a few new combinations that some words were starting to drop out. The final key came as a total surprise but finally I felt I earned the right to make a legitimate ascend for the cache of which I’d known the whereabouts for a long time.
And so it was at the recommended time of 9.30pm in complete darkness the structure was scaled. My flashlight must have turned the structure into some in-land lighthouse and I wondered if the passing traffic would pay any attention to the Don Quichotte precariously positioned way up high.
Anyway the cache was soon found completing a night of 5 Zytheran cipher caches totalling 19 difficulty stars and 17.5 terrain stars.
Strangely enough I didn’t feel like sushi anymore so drove past HJ on the way home for a well deserved feed and R&R.

Found while on a day out tunneling with a great bunch of cachers - lucky we had a fireman on hand to retreive the cache. TFTC
Found with a group of fellow cachers, while doing some of the Tunnel caches.
An interesting structure in a lovely park.
Cheers and thanks for the cache

Out with a group of cachers doing some underground drain caches. It was warm outside and also warm and humid underground.
Have been here so many times but today I made the climb. TFTC.

Got this one a while ago Thought I should log it. Found with geosisters schnail mango_96 and fire rainbow TFTC
Really enjoying this Cipher series.. havn't located all caches yet.. some prove problematic for retrieval.. this one was no exception..
Wiht the GPS 'beeping' every time we drive past this.. felt it was time to finally tick it off the list.
Engaged a climbing machine in a council vest to retrieve this one. who soon had cache in hand and we put our lovely names in the log!

been eyeing this off for sometime but it was all bunted up well that came off last week but a little fence was put up instead so we thought while we can we need to get this one done with the group
This cache had me thinking. Got to GZ and was up against a bit of a challenge. When away again and slipped into something more invisible ( council Uniform). With a little scuffle and a bump I had a little cache in hand and I also now have a Z PathTag that I have been told is a solution for a few more of Z's puzzles. Great hide great location.

Hmmm. They must be slow as the bunting is still there.
Was about to write a "Needs Maintenance" log, but given the bunting has been there several months now, I guess it is not needed[?]

Solved much earlier, found tonight after email from mr Z to say it had been replaced, with a little trepidation I retrieved the cache, thanks Z for another brain frying cache!
Dare it by myself and search - plenty web etc but couldn't see any container sob sob sob. Thanks.
We drove past last weekend and noticed that the area was surrounded by bunting, but the structure was still there. Not sure if the cache has been disturbed, but it certainly looked like some sort of work was happening to the area.
Found with MtnLioness, had many of these puzzles in Canberra. Liked the climb, easy.
Found on a day looking for many many similar structures in the company of Mtbikeroz
He wanted to do the climb.

Final find of the night at 11.30pm. All the joggers and walkers had gone to bed now but I never thought I would ever be up and about at this hour.
Finally I am face to face with the climb. Slippery underfoot with the dew but not a breath of wind.
I have I believe some lovely photos of me at GZ but I will not post them here so as to compromise GZ.
Lovely set of puzzles and nice to have a shot of adrenaline before going to bed!
Thanks Zytheran

Scampered up on a Sunday morning with no one around and not a breath of wind, nice to log a smile after one to many headache solving some of these TFTC
Scampered up the structure at the required hour, soon after departing the Adelaide Invasion Dinner. Thanks for the cache Zytheran.
So this is the infamous hiding spot. Well, there's only one thing to do. No wind is a good thing, but all this rain has made things a tad slippery. It didn't scare me like "How Deep the Woady" but I was all to aware of the consequences if I fell. I waited for a jogger to leave before making the ascent, logged the cache while up there, and returned thinking it wasn't so bad afterall.
Thanks for the challenge,

Finally after 6 or 7 visits, I had company just incase. However, Mrs C and Cal sat in the car, and would drive home after 10 minutes if I didn't make it back. She didn't want the hassle of having to put a body in the boot
Code has been solved for far too long. Climb up is fun, although being a safety engineer, some of those footholds would fail assessment. Wind was perfect so cache was planar with my ascent. Carried cache down (that last step is a pain going down) and found some light to fill in the log.
Then it was a trip back up. At the top after replacing the cache, I took a minute to enjoy the lights. Could just about see all the colours as in the puzzle. Not a bad view at night Still hated that last step on the way down and the quads felt it on the way home, whilst singing "Hot Potato" with Cal and Mrs C.
Visited TB through, but otherwise TNLN.

As we were nearby, we thought we'd stop for another look. What do you know - the conditions that have plagued our searches in the past were gone - it was perfect searching conditions!
Unfortunately, there is always a thorn. At 10:30am, it was 35.6C, making for some 'nomad penguin on a hot tin roof' kind of action.
Nice to (unexpectedly) knock this baby off.
Thanks Z .

We were in the area and thought we'd just do another reccie to determine what gear we needed to hire off the army to finally get the fkn thing without dying. But, as I pulled up Nomad was off quicker than a rat up a drainpipe and had it in hand before I had time to put the handbrake on I don't know what came over her. I guess it was the heat.
And just when I thought some det cord and a couple kilos of anfo would do the trick nicely

Passing by, made it 3/4 of the way up, but decided there was a bit too much wind, and with poor lighting and no-one knowing where I was, decided not to risk it.
Guess I got a lot higher than some who have logged it

For the last week or so, we have been planning this one. Finally with 999 caches, Anja was able to do it.
We went on a scoping mission, with the aim of returning after dark. Once at GZ though, there wasn't much wind, there weren't any muggles around, and we said why not!
After a bit of reassuring, Anja ascended the structure, and managed to balance for a find. Lowering the cache back to earth, i signed the log, and passed it back up again, for a quick replacement before we were seen
Well done to Anja on the 1000 finds!

1000 smilies for 1000 caches!!!!!
It was a great day today. The Fab Final Five were as follows:
996. Yip Yip Yip Aha
997. Shonky Numbers Game
998. Rockdale
999. 10/09/08 07:06
1000. Cipher Platinum
I will admit to having a few moments of doubt at this one, it being wet, and daylight, but I did it. Even if I did ask when I got down 'What the hell did I just do, and why?' [?][?]
Thanks for the fun Nigel, and hurray for 1000 finds!

We had been waiting for Bruce to feel fit before tackling this one. Nice hide. Thanks Zytheran
At last.
4th or 5th visit. I'd lost count. Driven past a squillion times and not even bothered to get out. One could tell it would not be suitable from a distance.
It's amazing what a lack of bars can achieve It's also amazing who can be a good friend when you require. [^]
Thanks Z and clear skies from TeamAstro.
I'm surprised no-one went looking for Platinum at the pub lunch, as there was an indication is was nearby.
Find 212 without a GPS at 9.30am
Quite a feat of engineering to get this one.
Both my feet remained on the ground.
I have the technology.
Found on the second visit, first time surveyed the situation and went home to the engineering workshop to construct the tooling required.
TNLNSL Thanks Zytheran

Found at 06:15.
The puzzle is a little more challenging if you're colour-blind, so used Miss Unicycle's beter eyesight to translate the table for me. The codes are falling out easier these days, due to the amount of practice geocaching forces upon you.
Arrived here a few nights ago, but was the weather was not appropriate and too many people about. 6:15am proved the ideal time, with only a gentle breeze.
This sort of stealth does make me a little uncomfortable, but a cacher's gotta do what a cacher's gotta do.
Thanks again Zytheran.

Team (A) at 7-00pm day 70 of our November challenge
worked this puzzle out while lying under a truck fixing it's air-conditioner, rather easy actually.
arrived at GZ and thought "mmmm....5 knots from the south west, not a problem"
quickly snared and replaced.
Freo bear visited this cache, but decided not to stay as the pent-house suite didn't have a spa, he came home with us. This bear is beginning to like going caching.

Passing by on own in daylight so decided to checkout GZ.
Bit too windy and lonely, but at least could spot the cache.
Might have the paramedics on standby for the next visit.

#4 of 52 finds on my second day in Adelaide, in company with acts2youthgroup. We found this one at 0815. We were fortunate to snare the last parking spot in the nearby car park. We were off to a good start! Acts2YG has a crook shoulder, so it was up to me to retrieve this one. I was apprehensive, but it turned out not to be a problem. I quite enjoyed it, actually, and fortunately for me, there was no wind. I did the business, but midway through, a council gardener turned up nearby. I started to think of a suitable excuse for being where I was (I dropped my watch; a dog ate my cache notes, and I'm looking for it; I'm looking for Haley's Comet), but nothing seemed to be suitable. As it turned out, he didn't ask, despite looking straight at me from 30m or so off. I made no exchange. Thanks to Zytheran for the cache; I really enjoyed this one (the retrieval, not the puzzle!). Cheers, dak.
#4 of 62 cache finds for day two in Adelaide in the company of dak’s Emu Mob. We have had the answer for this one for some time so it was good to finally make it to GZ where I let dak do the honors of retrieving it while I stayed below and prayed that he did not fall. Thanks Zytheran for the cache.
YEAH!!!! finished all 5 metal ciphers on one day and my 200th find! and what I nice one to complete the series on!!!
I had completed all the ciphers by hand over winter. Z you must be congratulated for walking us through ciphers, I had not done any previously and loved the whole experience (watch out Master Darko yours are next).
Thankyou winter dragon for helping with ladder and encouragement... or was that fussing ... platinum was challenging but we got to the structure at night fall and zero I mean zero wind... which was very lucky ... simple climb then a harder climb and a reach and the cache was in hand... I wish the solving of it was as easy!!!... well it was solvable when I found out that Baggy Greens Y? who kindly printed it for me had a version which made brown and maroon the same colour.... I tried for days on that basis... until consulting with Z at the dinner at handorf (caching dinners are good for getting help) showed the error which had occurred... once I found out what the real colours were... then the solution was not too hard!
metal ciphers finished and platinum was 200th find. Thank you z for an excellent series both mentally and physically
cheers

Finally!
I was walking near the area this morning on the trailblazer challenge and decided to take a little detour and have a quick check of GZ. Conditions were perfect for retrieval which is great because now I get to claim this little beauty as number 2K
Cheers again Mr Z [^]
Finally made it for a visit to GZ, but not the right time for a retrieval.
