Wow, this geocache has annoyed me to no end. Mainly because it is so far from home. It is very rare that I get to visit Cooroy, even if I pass by a lot. Fangsoki and I some years back were in the area and he recalled this hide. Suspecting it might still be there, we stopped off and had a look around. After some 20 minutes of poking, prodding and searching all over, there was no find. As such I declared it to be missing and it was forgotten about.
Then, Nyssaflutterby logged a find on it. Honestly, it wasn't until I saw photos of it that I completely believed her. This is a theme I've noticed though, me looking for an archived geocache and not finding it, then a few months later Nyssa finds it. Well done to her, but seriously, damn that girl!
This morning I was back in Cooroy with Fangsoki and joined by Net88. We had just donated some gold coinage for a sausage sizzle lunch and headed for this park once more. I didn't even have the information in my GPSr this time. I had an idea of where to look and so lead the charge down the hill. A few metres away, I spotted the hide. Why I couldn't have done that last time I don't completely know.
I plucked the container out and noted it is still in very reasonable condition. Net and I signed our names - the first for some 6 months I note - before rehiding it as found with a little more cover. This one lives on some more! TFTC Scrub Bull

Captain Terror, Fangsoki and I were on our way to an event somewhat nearby when we passed this cache. We had just grabbed an early lunch from the charity sausage sizzle at the IGA which meant I actually did more eating than searching at this cache. I was hungry and the Captain didn't seem to need my help anyway, finding this cache within a minute of searching. We signed our names in the log and headed back to the car to finish our journey to the event and start our 'relaxing' weekend at Dunethin. Thanks for the cache Scrub Bull
We were heading home after a weekend in Bundaberg and stopped off in Cooroy for a break for the wife and MIL while I headed out to find a few caches.
This was the closest to the RSL and I headed here first. There were only two vehicles in the car park so I headed down the back and started searching. I did a cursory search first and then started a more thorough search and then spotted a familiar flash of colour and I uncovered the cache. there is no lid on it at present but it is remaining dry.

An easy find, ounce I put my head in gear.

I decided to give myself a bit of a mission today to find some archived caches. It is something that caught my interest from the very first one that was pointed out to me. I set myself a mission for myself and LuLu (the geo dog) to find 8 specific archived caches, this was the fourth for the day.
Lulu was happy to get some more exercise and she had plenty of time to rest up on this one. I spent a long time looking for what I suspected what I was looking for. After a confirmation from a previous finder I was in the right vicinity looking for the right thing, the treat unveiled itself. No magpies or police queries for me today either...which keeps me very happy.
Thank you Scrub Bull for the cache.

Not sure what was happening in town today but the main road was closed off and there were muggles all over the shop! Thankfully they all seemed to be on a mission and there was no one close to GZ. I hunted about for quite sometime finding nothing, I looked at the hint then and went back through a few logs. I searched around for a while longer and was about to admit defeat, in fact I started walking away. But something told me to have just one last look, back I went. I scratched around again, this time I was more thorough. I found it
Thanks for the cache Scrub Bull

Wandered into the park and forgot about swooping magpies as the wind whistled past my ears twice. So if you venture into this park beware of the magpies.
I had to have stern words with Mr magpie that I was not going to hurt his babies and would he kindly leave me alone.
So the magpie got down to business in looking for something to eat and just ignored me. I carried a stick over my head on the way out just in case he got any ideas.
The local constabulary had a call out and noticed me in the park as they were leaving.

Went to log a find on this one today and I see it's been archived?
I guess we must have missed that update.
It was in the GPS so when we arrived we just followed the arrow.
Arrived at GZ and after a quick poke around we had the cache in hand.
The container is still in good condition and the log book was dry.
Mind you what the log is in did fall out of its camo container but it was still ok.
Well I guess a finds a find.

Ms Bushies2 found it quickly however the logbook was completely wet and useless to sign so we replaced it with a new logbook and small seal zip bag and threw out the old logbook...the cache still needs a new lid. Thanks Scrub Bull.
Thepiggies and us walked down. Spotted the cache straight away and left a calling card.

Policeman not around good hiding place, and plenty of pine cones for the fire.TFTC
Managed to sneak in without drawing attention from the police Found cache before long. Cheers Gav [8568]
Quickly spotted something we had seen before. Enclosure was missing lid & could not see it nearby, log was so wet it was rotten & not able to be signed. Thanks scrub bull.
Late afternoon, no muggles in sight. cannister lid missing may need maintenance. TFTC
Coords were about 8m out for us but Pagan very quickly spotted it. TFTC Scrub Bull
Thankfully there appeared to be no coppers viewing today. We made our way to GZ and fanned out to begin our search. Mr Pagan came up with the well hidden beast. It is in good condition. TFTC Scrub Bull
Second time lucky. Log book very wet - will need attention especially after the torrential rain we have had in this area. TFTC.
Nice open space, but today wet wet wet after heavy rain. Signed a damp log book and escaped to dryer land. TFTC
We took a bit of time here so hope the local copper wasn't watching us. We were looking for the wrong thing and were just about to give up when it struck us. Thanks Scrub Bull
Wasn’t too sure about this one when I first looked at the notes. Didn’t relish the idea of a big Police Officer strolling up and saying “állo, állo, what have we here then” as I was searching along his back fence. Took quite a while to find then I recognised something that I hadn’t seen for quite a while. Great his. Log is damp but useable. Didn’t get a visit from the local Constable.

Didn't mean to turn into this area, but a wrong turn is never wasted when there's a cache nearby!
Found with Indiana Jill. Nice hide. Enjoyed the jasmine. Log book soggy & needs replacing.

The blooming Star Jasmine made this stop fragrant, though a bit soggy underfoot. I stretched over standing water and was about to fossick around when I saw a familiar sight and grabbed it. Yep! The log book was damp, so a plastic bag and a silicon moisture eater might be in order, but we still managed to sign. Thnx for the stop here in our travels from TIn Can Bay down to Brisbane.
Found this one while introducing natspol to geocaching. Unable to sign log as it's getting a bit damp. TNLN TFTC
On a cache outing with The Bresil Nuts. Had a bit of a hunt when we were suddenly joined by another family of cachers as well as another. It became a competition to see who could come up with the find. Mr. Aussie Liahona succeeded and we all lined up to sign the log. It was slightly damp on the edges but easily signable. Nice hide. We were hunting for this one with Aussie Liahona today when we were surprised by another group of cachers. It became an all in hunt and Aussie Liahona came up with the find. We all took our turns in signing the log and were pleased with this cache find. Log slightly damp, but still signable.

Found today with Aussie Liahona & hashem during an afternoon tea break. We finally worked out the camo a while back, and hadn't been back to Cooroy to check till now With the camo hint the cache was soon in the hands of Aussie Liahona. Magpie were out in force again today, there is a nest in the trees closest to the police station. We moved on to another picnic table for our afternoon tea. Very nice to meet other cachers in wild so to speak!
No way not this time
BEWARE MAGPIES ARE SWOOPING
Seems they starting early up Cooroy way

Last one for the day after our trip to Tewantin. Found it quickly after remembering the clue. Nice hide. TFTC
A fine sunny afternoon with no one about so I thought I would give this one a go again. I failed last time but it as a hot busy summers day. This time no problems. Thanks
Quick find this one. I'd found the exact same thing earlier in the day, so this was like a neon sign so soon after. TN/LN/SL
So we finally figured we knew where this cache was more or less after checking it out once before. Its just a shame we were a bit slow in the ever more quickly fading light as winter comes on and by the time we felt we were on GZ it was too dark to see! Not to worry, geofamily had a nice, if cool, dinner at the picnic table. No sign of any observers to laugh at our erratic behaviour. TFTC we'll be back with another dinner, earlier!
I'd considered "ask friend", i.e. go and knock on the neighbour (police station),
thought I'd get someone who didn't know, so didn't.
And then I met Team Fuddles who had success here earlier, after a quick conversation,
I learnt I'd made an assumption that was holding me up,
back I went and got it!!!! Thanks Team Fuddleys

Up and down the fence line and suddenly there it was. Don't know why we didn't find it sooner. TFTC
10am Did this one with Geo-Cousins newo2020, thought for sure we were looking for a pine cone. TFTC
Late in a long day, pine needles and ... nope, no find for me. The grazing galahs were a nice touch, and thank goodness the magpies just yelled at me and didn't take it any further. Thanks for the hunt Scrub Bull.
Found at 0821 first for the day. A quick drive by. on one in view. Nice hide. Cache dry and well. TFTC.
Coppers had a great view all right. Another one to send the kids in for and they came up trumps quickly.
A nice find as we did the rounds of Cooroy. I started making this cache harder than it really was. There so many decoy caches that when I found the real one..... I went 'of course'.
Thanks
Thanks
Found it without GPS, I had a feeling what type of cache it was, so went for a stroll
Found the cache at 6am before muggle's wake up hee!!. SL. Thanks Scrub Bull. T4TC,
I didn't get a chance to get within 5m, current difficulty is a 5 due to no less than 3 or 4 very vicious magpies, avoid this one till after they're done nesting would be my suggestion
613 Cache easy - parking reasonable - now the hard bit - to extract ourselves from the after school pick up traffic. TFTC Scrub Bull
Tra La Laa! I found it after waiting for some muggles to go past then I grabed it so TFTC

Spotted it straight away - now where have I seen this before!
We were just signing the log when the local police man wandered down the back. He is obviously in the loop, as he waved and gave us a big smile.
We waved back, and replaced the cache. Thanks for the cache!

This one took us a while - I thought Cods had looked there, and he thought I had, doh! Had a sneaking suspicion I was looking for a different type of camo for a bit - TFTC
Went looking for the cache and searched for 15 minutes before the rain started and decided to give it up and look another day. GPS was all over the place so hopefully on a bright sunny day it will be an easy find.
must have picked the right time, no muggles, didn't even see the law, found ok and got away undetected TFTC

Nicely hidden. We had tried to do this one a couple of times during the day but there were always people around so it was a good one to do at night. Cleverly hidden so it did take a while to spot. Thanks Scrub Bull
Note to self: 8am on a weekday was not a good time to look for this cache
Not only did the local constabulary turn up for work, but the QR work crews were slowly springing into action on the other side of the fence
With the rain a fallin' as well, this cache grab needed canine accompaniment to provide a cover story. I didn't have a dog handy so I just had to make do with patience and stealth instead

We found a few of these type of caches today so after a while it became second nature to look first for these type of caches and yes the local establishment had a birds eye view of the cache location.

Did not find this one but did not spend too much time on it as I think it might have been moved with the flooding rain, a lot of evidence of flooding or maybe Mr Plod has taken it into custody.
Found it relatively easily you never know where these little parks pop up

Tricky little hide! And on our last cache for the day, it was not such a bad time for my GPSr to start going haywire, moving GZ every few second to "3m back over that way" regardless of where I was! Nutty thing. Notwithstanding, found the cache through persistent searching, with geomum laying hands on it first, yay! TFTC. ='.'=
I was wondering what the cops thought about all these people scrounging around out here! Hope Sunday was their day off! This one took a while - big search area and I was thinking WAY to laterally! Thanks again for a brilliant day Scrub Bull
La Kedi's GPSr wasn't behaving itself very well so it was a matter of pick a spot and start searching. Came up with the goods fairly quickly before arousing any suspicion from the local constabulary. TFTC
aaaargh!,this booty got arrested pretty quickly in ye' company of ye' spuds, thanks s.b.
Another find on the way to Woombye chasing a FTF. As I was heading off on the search, a woman pulled up looking for directions to Sunshine Beach. I think she was a little lost. Sending her on her way in the (hopefully) right direction, I headed down for the search. A nice quick easy find, as I have had this experience before.
Found at 1000hrs.
Thanks for the cache.

OK Which pine needle should we look at first? And will we be arrested for loitering? It was soon with in our grasp and then a quick getaway. Great hide TNLNSL.
Found this one finally at 1445hrs after Geowife had already searched the area. A great hide! TFTC
