its been over 2 months since maintance log been placed.
Artillery has been off for a service.
Clean and painted on return, but nothing to find, see logs.
the cacher is inactive " 1082 consecutive days without a find since 15.1.2014 " so no replacement cache is going to be placed.
time for this one to go.

Travelling on holiday with Purrfect Di, son Alex, geoson Sebastbat and Jack the monkey.
We did stop for the bakery and had a look at the gun.
It seems the beastie has been removed and painted very nicely, but in the process most likely the cache has gone.
Still had a look in all the likely places it could have survived, but paint prep probably finished it off.
Thanks for the challenge Biggo
will place on the watch list and return asap!

I was prepared to look for this one as i have drove past so many times. But i think i may have left it to late. The cannon is gone .
TFTC, nice quick find then while the. It chose which pub to go to for celebratory pint!
The bakery was shut and the muggles inspecting the gun closely were annoying, let alone it taking far too long to find. However, a smilie was gained before things became too explosive!
A beautiful day to be stopping off for lunch on the way home to Adelaide. This place looked very familiar and I recall having a look for this one a long time ago - I must not have logged a DNF out of complete frustration! This time, it still a while for me and the GeoKids to make the find - but we were successful! Thanks Biggo, it's always fun to learn a little bit about our history while out and about!
Tftf! A minty fresh find... Might need a new log book soon... ! (Not a film canister)
Great hide
Had us baffled for a while!
got some weird looks from the surrounding muggles!

GPS was about 6M off- gave up after about 20 mins but persistent friend powered on made the find soon after. Always difficult in a public park.. no-one could be THAT interested in a piece of machinery, but we managed to pull it off with hopefully not too much suspicion. Thanks for the cache and giving us a reason to stop along our road trip
I like the park. Second cache of the day. Third cache found in and artillery.
Found in the second place I looked - must be getting experienced at these!! Nice to be back in SA. TFTC Biggo!
In Naracoorte for the day touring caves and sightseeing. I also took the opportunity to do some caching. Geokid1 helped me look for this one, after about 5 minutes the cache was found. It always seems easier searching for these types when one of the geokids is with me. TFTC Biggo.
Nice find before dinner. Am visiting Naracoorte and their caves and am really enjoying this friendly community.
So happy when I can find these. TFTC

Together with Spade52 I traveled for almost 6 weeks through Down Under Australia. We made our trip, using a Spaceship rental car, visiting the 5 most southern states of Australia, New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia and Australia Capital Territory. Spade52 was the navigator and I the driver. We mostly avoided the motorways and mainly used the coastal and local roads that led us through many small nice and rustic villages and sleeping towns. We stayed in motels, backpacker hostels and occasionally a campsite. Luckily the weather was very agreeable during our trip with nice temperatures and very little rain. We especially enjoyed the nature, the rain forest, the wilderness, the (for us) extraordinary indigenous flora and Australia's wildlife. On our trip we visited many geocaches. All CO's thanks for showing us many interesting locations and special spots.
Today we continued our tour along the Great Ocean Road again and drove into South Australia. On the way we visited some interesting sites, great views and found some geocaches. The location of this geocache was easy to find. Very nice hide and location.

Returning home after visiting family in Mt Gambier for a few days. TT016 traveled & cached with me until Naracoorte. This was the last cache before we said our goodbyes and went our separate ways.
It took a little while to locate. I had felt there before but obviously not properly. S-I-L checked and it was there. Sometimes you can just overlook areas too quickly. SL. TFTC Biggo

A group of our friends were going to stay a few days at Beachport so we decided that we would leave the day before. Give me some time to find some caches on the way.
First night at Coomandook and then on to Naracoorte and then arriving at the beach found that the others who had left that morning had arrived before us.
H'mm, geocaching can waste a great amount of time!
Stopped and had lunch here and forgetting that I had already found this one last year I wandered over and spotted the container out in the open and quite exposed.
Tucked it away safely.

Tried at night yesterday with no luck, but spotted it immediately in the daylight. Great spot, thanks!

Our thanks to Biggo for bringing us here.

Mr Hawkeye was able to nab it once the council workers turned their attention elsewhere. Lovely spot. TFTC
Usually give this type of hide a miss, but today we found this cache within two minutes, really happy about it. Thanks.
As we approached GZ we thought "not another one of those **** things". However, this time we were lucky. We walked around the object and on our first pass, we saw something of the same colour but different shade. Exploration revealed the cache which was in good condition. Thanks for the cache Biggo.
Found with HRoj on our amazing tour through Australia
Greetings from Austria and THANKS FOR THE CACHE!

I think this cache has moved from a 'staring us in the face' spot to a much more concealed placement. Persevere at all angles! Hard to escape muggles.
Quick find while passing through on our way to the Caves from Central Vic. Only time for one. Not the container we were expecting. Great little town. TFTC
Quick find while passing through on our way to the Caves from Central Vic. Only time for one and this was it. Not your average container type for this sort of location. TFTC
Well that was a bit bigger than what we normally find at these types. We only had 10 minutes spare while in town on our road trip from Central Vic and this was our destination. TFTC
A very nice hide, took a little searching before we realised it was staring us in the face! TFTC
As occurs, I had no writing implement. You know I found it as I Eclipsed myself just by getting here. Thanks for the opportunity to stretch the legs and get to know this town better. ☺☺☺
Another previous DNF off my list...
Found it quite quickly this time.
A beaut park in centre of town, muchless busy this time around, at this time of morning!
TNLNSL
Thanks

Here at 630am but a week early, this place will be a hive of activity on the 25th. 100 years since Gallipoli this year too Always love a cannon cache SL Thanks Biggo
Stopping at Naracoorte on our way home just had to pick up a cache or 2. An easy find

TFTC. The "film canister" clue was a bit of a decoy! Great spot (cache & town)!
There were no teenage muggles close to the gun today so we had a clear look for the cache. Once spotted we realised that it was an IPS cache. SL TFTC
A lunch break on the way home to Melbourne, and another good time for another cache find. This find went without a bang.
Found on 7-Mar-2015 while on a Scout camp. Not much help from any of my scouts who are cache blind.
Quick easy find Have visited and searched these all over Australia Thanks Great town
We felt a little sus with all the muggles around, spent 10mins on it and couldn't find it
After walking past it last night (so close to my accommodation) only to be thwarted by muggles, I decided an early morning attempt was better. Soon had cache in hand. TFTC This is a little different from the Boom series along the Yorke Peninsula. Still, quite an enjoyable cache.
Found this on the way to Adelaide after a week of caving in the region. Found this cache the second place I looked. Did the legals and replaced as found. TFTCM

Took a bit to find this little guy... And it was dark at the time, but soon the geo hubby located it. Earlier today we saw some fellow cachers looking for this one, so we decided to get this one later in the evening. TFTC
Lovely to visit this town and grab a cache on the way through. Great lifestyle and lots to see. TFTC
With a couple cars nearby full of young people we choose to walk away rather than compromise the cache. Maybe the next time we are in town we will have the place a little more to ourselves. Thanks for showing us this well kept square.
Came here this morning and looked like we had a fairly clear opportunity to search. But along comes a family of muggles and the kids clamber all over the object and have their photos taken. And then they sit down in the shade under the tree and look like they were settling in for a while.
Well we thought we can play this game too so we sat down in the shade under the tree and prepared to outwait them.
After quite some time mum starts putting their shoes on and getting ready to leave. But one kid has something stuck in his foot so down they sit again!!!
Enough being enough we called it quits on this one, although Mr Beetle had worked out a potential hiding place while we were waiting.
As we were leaving town later in the day the area was deserted so we thought we would check his theory.
But would you believe just as we reached GZ 4 teenagers appeared out of nowhere and sat on the grass facing GZ.
While I kept watch and indicated a suitable time when they were all looking at their mobile phones Mr Beetle dived in and the find was where he predicted. The signing was easy but getting it back required a bit of teamwork too.
Thanks, glad we didn't end up missing out on this one after the time spent here.

We were passing through, decided to have lunch in the park and guessed that there would be a cache on this structure. A quick find, however two junior muggles playing nearby decided to change to a new plaything and yep, you guessed it! They moved in on our territory while we were signing the log nearby. Had to wait for an opportune time and complete some stealthy manoeuvres to return the cache container. Thanks for this one Biggo.
TFTC. Found as part of the Big Little Event II. Lovely town. Thanks for having us.
