This weekend, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I headed to Melrose for mountain biking the trails with a few non-geocaching friends. We ended up hiking up to Mount Remarkable on Sunday, and on Monday, we returned to home via Booleroo Centre, Jamestown, and Clare. The weekend had some rain drizzle and crisp mornings, but otherwise good weather for fitness.

Today, we had a morning Melrose mountain biking session, before starting to drive back to Adelaide. We had some time to fill, so ended up taking the long route via Booleroo Centre, Hornsdale, and Jamestown, to then arrive at Clare for an afternoon tea/coffee event. It was then an expedited drive via Gawler.

A great themed location that was nice to have driven past. However, why is there a toaster at **Kettle Corner**? Haha, nice one. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Freddo for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

A fun weekend away with Davidwazza! TFTC!

18-Oct-20
The three of us headed up north for a caching weekend, to attend events in Peterborough, Melrose and Clare over three days. We had a great caching trip and found 36 caches along our travels.

We love these interesting locations, that are easily missed without a cache nearby. The cache was found in the first place we looked - don't you just love it when that happens?

Signed the log. Thanks for the cache Freddo.

PS: Sorry for the late log. I'm slowly catching up with my backlog of finds. If it wasn't for the excellent GSAK software, I would have lost track of many of the caches I've found.

09-Oct-20
I like the electric plug for the kettle.
Easy find.

06-Oct-20
different cache container. quick find
Took Mogni for a trip to the Flinders Rangers for the long weekend with extra day either side. The target for the trip was to clear some of the " used to be a church " micro series on the way up and on the back as well, complete a couple of station tracks plus hike to Blinman Pools. We where not expecting a couple of 34 degree days then a 30 km wind dust storm followed by rain over night and then the wilpenda pound walls covered in fog for the next 1/2 a day. It did change our plans a little and the order we did things. All containers we found damaged, broken, cracked were replaced and were possible ( if not soaked ) original log books were kept. Any log books found full were replaced or if room had extra scrolls added in to the cache.

A long weekend away with sir_spectre in the Flinders Ranges. We had each been here before and strangely had few double ups so some revisiting was in order to try to get our maps similar. The weather threw everything at us but we just made our plans suit the conditions. Lots of 4WD and walks included.
Thanks to Freddo from mogni Smile

A short stop here, if you need a kettle I know where to come

Today I started off in Peterborough and caches my way around the back roads in the northern area before finishing of the day with a bit of caching with Davidwazza near Wilmington and his event before making the drive home. A total of 89 caches for the day.

Thanks for the cache

After a lovely night at the camp site (great facilities for tent campers) but a crap game of footy (if you are a Pies fan) it was up and ready for a day of caching in the Orroroo surrounds.
We travelled all over the countryside and had a fantastic day. We did an epic multi, visited lots of abandoned structures with heaps of history, saw lots of Orroroo masters games venues and called in at the pub in Pekina for a beer. Great day of country fun, punctuated with some super finds. Love a good day of SA country caching.
It started off very cold this morning with low lying clouds meaning we were in fog for the first couple of hours. Once this burnt off it was a superb winters day, sunny and warm. We saw lots of sheep, roos, wallabies, goats and an echidna which was cool. Rex had a brilliant day and was absolutely shattered by the time we got back to the campsite.
Kettles galore, liked the power point. Rex thought the kettles smelt good. TFTC Freddo

On the way home from the June Long Weekend QQQ event with Sebastbat and Jack the Monkey.
We loved Quorn so much we stayed an extra night then wandered home Tuesday!
Was good to find your cache as we traveled.
Stopped for a cuppa, and a cache. A car pulled up. Cachers? Cool
No - but a local lady who lives between the kettles and saucepans and finds them all rather fascinating.
She was fascinating too. We chatted, she wondered if the electric kettle (with powerpoint on the post) actually worked!
Seemed it didn't, so we didn't join the jigglers today. But the corner experience was fun, and the lady is still wondering why we were there [:o)] Razz

Having just done Saucepan Cnr and thought there were remnants from a tinkettling, we come across this cache and here are the rest of the items that can be used in a tinkettling. Aussie M & M had been married about 3 years when we moved to the mid north. It was not long before our new local mates decided a tin kettling was in order and I have some very odd pictures from that night to prove it. Fun cache spot here. Thanks Freddo.

Not sure about the toaster, but this corner has gone high tech and got the power connected Surprised.
Not only does it have the traditional kettles, but now has those new fangled electric jobs as well Cool.
TNLNSL.
Interesting how our old topo maps have this place marked as Kettle Corner as well - have to wonder about the history of the place (as well as the other 2 further east) [?].
Thanks Freddo.

Up from the Barossa for the weekend with the travellinbees for a fun weekend of caching. After checking out of our Motel and having an amazing breakfast at the little cafe in town, we cached our way home. There seems to be a theme developing here...And WHO in their right mind leaves a Toaster at Kettle Corner!! Helloooo!!! Oh, by the way, The CO might need to check on this one. I tried plugging my charger in to give my phone a bit of a boost but the power point seems to be faulty...Big GrinBig Grin TFTC and a Favourite....for the toaster!

Touring Australia having left Perth in late February we are leisurely touring South Australia after having attended Oz Mega. Big Grin

We were woken early this morning with thunder and lightning whilst camped at Murray Town.

After ensuring that the hatches were battened down and the cat was tucked in safe and sound we set off to tackle some more caches in neighbouring areas. The dirt roads were mostly okay, we stayed away from any 'Dry weather only' roads but some were still quite treacherous by the end of the day.

Some fabulous views of the locale and rainbows. Some interesting history and lovely towns were taken in today.

Loved this location. Have seen others before but this was so well done.

TFTC and sharing this with us Freddo

Today was our 2nd day in Orroroo & we took a drive around the country side. Some roads were a little damp after recent rain. Great farming land, & interesting locations we visited.
The caches we found were interesting & varied.
It seems the workman also left a note in the log book.
Thanks for placing this cache Freddo

Just decided to look for a couple of caches after work. An easy find in a great spot.

24-May-11
This certainly is one for the bronze, we think that he would set up camp here if he came to do the cache. Funny thing is that we have only met him twice and we haven't seen him drink a tea, it must have just been the wrong time of day. We like these little oddities that you see while you are traveling around, this one was even better as there is a cache there now which surprisingly turned out to be a very easy find as it was in the first place we looked. The log book is a bit damp but is useable
Thanks Freddo for the cache

I used to enjoy reading forum posts by The Bronze. Not everyone did though, apparently.

We decided to stop here and have lunch under the shade of a tree. The thermos stayed home today, opting for the cooler bag instead. It must be getting warmer, as we saw a total of 3 Brown snakes today and one yesterday.

The cache is full of water, but log book is dry.

Thanks Freddo.
