How dare they remove such a nice old tree! There should be a law against it. I suppose they call it progress [:(!] [:(!]
I decoded the message a few days ago (thanks to google ) to work out the coords-then used google earth (thanks again!) to work out location/terrain so I knew what GZ would look like to begin the search. Planned on doing this on my way home from my "Mulligan's mission de Cache" run today. Well got to GZ, and looked fore!lornly at bare ground-seems like the structure I had anticipated searching at GZ is no more. I have since read the log by Luckyl10n-the photo taken is same area I went to.
Seems like the structure at GZ is no more. No sign of any container remaining either. Perhaps the cache will need to be reinstated and relocated or archived? Hopefully reinstated so we can find it
Thought things looked different around GZ for the last few weeks, but only found my notes with the exact coords yesterday so I could check it out. Sadly it looks like GZ is no more. Can the CO check it out and either relocate or archive as appropriate. Had this as a favorite too
Found on a hot day out in Gungahlin. We solved the puzzle a while ago, but it took a while to get out here. So we came to find it today, and it was a nice easy find. Fantastic hide, well done. Good puzzle. TNLN. TFTC Fore!!
Thanks so much for a wonderful find. Enjoyed this one and the hide location is wonderful )

Worked this one out a while ago, and saved it for a future trip out this way. Arrived today, and found that I *hadn't* put the waypoint in the GPS and my workings were at home. I knew the rough location and spotted a likely hide when I arrived. Went and had a look, and there it was. Nice idea.
Thanks.
Thanks.
I used to be in the Navy (Canadian) so got out my morse cose and translated the message - took an hour. My daughter came in, copied and pasted the message into a Google translator and had the answer in a few seconds. My way was more satisfying. TFTC
Did the work for this one a few months back. Quick grab at GZ. Signed log: TNGD. TFTC.
Came here with Crazeecat - Thought I would drop off a travel bug while I was there
Decoded morse (with the aid of google).
As I approached GZ, I pondered the clue. I could see the first part of the reference, but the second part had me stumped.
Then I realised.

515. Solved the puzzle a while ago and came out to GZ tonight. Managed to make it a drive by. Thought I was going to retrieve the log from the container in the car, but that didn't happen. TFTC.
After netball we had a look for some puzzles that looked interesting. Mr Stormcatcher found this and solved it easily. Mr Stormcatcher had to go play basketball so Miss Stormcatcher headed out here to find the cache. After navigating where to park, particularly given the earlier heavy storm making the ground potentially boggy. A storyt walk through the long grass and GZ was found and a caught a pretty big fish . Its definately better cachin in pairs, it's soo much harder holding everything alone. Signed the log quickly and released my catch to be found another day. Thanks fore! For another rear puzzle.
We are now officially residents of Canberra, and seeing as all the unpacking has been done we decided to head out on Australia Day to find some caches close to home. Marco had solved the puzzle at home and this one was quickly found - were glad of the fishing help too. One wonders how long before the urban sprawl hits this spot too. TNLNSL TFTC
Quick find at night with GeoHubby. An owl turned up & kept a close eye on us while we signed the log. TNLNSL TFTC
Tftc tnln easy find had an owl looking apon me as i retreived this one in the dark
8373 No Fore!lorn remorse here, cache quickly retrieved… saw a snake skin lying nearby… to remind us to remain cautious… despite being in an urban environment.
Many thanks for the puzzle and cache Fore!

lochb brought the puzzle solution up from Melbourne so I was just on the line for support with no remorse. With not much in this area (besides GZ) I was surprised by how many cars and busses passed by late at night. Luckily the cache was an easy find and retrieve. TFTC Fore!
A quick find tonight in the company of hgl. I wonder how long this hide will remain, with all the construction work happening here... thanks for cache and puzzle!
Quick find while waiting for our takeaway Thai to be cooked by near by restaurant. Had solved the puzzle a couple of weeks ago but hadn't gotten around to finding out if we had gotten it right. TFTC yet another good puzzle....thanks Fore!
I was in the area and had a solution so decided to try despite the maintenance log.
I found the box and retrieved its contents with some difficulty and put it all back together. Signed the log too. So, all back in place ready to go! Thanks Fore! and you can remove the log now! (Still, could be worth a quick check over sometime?)

ANother cache that has been sitting on my puzzle book for too long (not helped by the book going MIA for a few months!!). At GZ, I looked in the most obvious place first but wasn't game to ferret to much, I found some wire, but nothing was attached. Then as I stopped to consider my options I spied something that didn't look quite right and sure enough, the cache was there

We get too easily distracted at work - often finding ourselves pondering puzzle caches. Such was the case earlier today when enzo put to use his long dormant morse code training to decipher this one. We did as the hint suggested and landed a whopper! Left Geocoin that we picked up in Kianga over the weekend. TFTC
No-one seemed to be around ~midday Sunday, so I went for it.
Easy find, though a little too obvious for potential muggling. Replaced cache as a bunch out of sight of some approaching emo muggles, though they headed off into the nature reserve. SL, TNLN. Thanks for the puzzle!

Lovely hide, perfect for a Sunday evening stroll. Kangaroos watching from over the fence while I filled out the log.
There are different types of puzzle caches. Some are hard because they're hard, some are hard because I'm essentially lazy. This one was the latter (ie, not so hard, but doesn't just fall into my lap).
However, in a fit of energy not likely to be repeated this decade, I decided to put the effort in to solve some puzzles, and this lucky puzzle was one of them.
Made the find relatively quickly once at GZ, but interestingly we still had the "Beagles Tribute to Las Vegas" cache in our pocket (read that log for an interesting story). So I was tempted to write "took nothing, left Beagle's cache ".
However, during the search I did take a small tumble and left a viking sized hole in the ground! Ooops, sorry.
Thanks Fore!

After a setback at a nearby cache because of muggles I decided to head for this one instead. The clue helped me out when first scans turned up nothing and I quickly logged and replaced it before any muggles came past. The puzzle was one I've seen used a number of times but am only just starting to learn some of the conversions from memory.

Amazing vacant land on one side and modern suburbia on the other.
It tooks us a while to reel this one in but we managed to land it.

Had a spare 1.5 hours while my son went to his second birthday party for the day/ This was the first of 3 finds and 3 DNFs. Clever hide in such an obvious but innocuous spot. TNLN TFTC!
One of the pleasures of geocaching is seeing new and interesting things in places you pass every day. In this case, it was on my regular route to work for years. Never stopped there until today. And the whole idea of the area being urbanised... it is something that's been creeping up over the years, but this cache will live to see another day! Denbe and I passed through, signed the log, no swap, thanks for the cache!
We had this cache on our to do list and I had actually had been fiddling around deciphering code only last week but hadnt finished it yet. Decided this afternoon to head out for a walk and to look at a spot nearby for a potential new cache. After our walk, was heading back home and drove by this spot and thought "that might be a good spot for a hide", jumped out of car and what do you know but a cache sitting right there waiting to be found!! Lucky find for us.
no swaps, just logged our find. Thanks Fore.

Love this puzzle and good hide spot... Good fun become fishing as I am not good with fishing hee... No swap. SL. Thanks Fore!.
At first I was a bit worried about what I had to do to find this one, but then after a better look realised it wasn't as difficult as I thought.
I also wonder how long it will be until this area is built out. Hopefully it will be a while.
Great hide Fore!, as always. TFTC

One of the few Fore caches so far where. the puzzle was easier than the retrieval. Even passing collegues didn't stop my getting this cache. He didn't seem interested anyway, was more focussed on bad drivers. tnln thanks for the cache Fore.
Ms M_Family solved this one two days ago at work (of course). We were remotely in the area after visiting 'Apple Day' out past Hall, so we find a chance to stop by and find the cache. TFTC!
Nice hide! The geokids were very impressed.

I've been doing all the puzzles I can (especially Fore! puzzles), waiting for the chance to come back to Canberra. This one was fairly easily solved, except that my attempts to automate the process were somewhat stymied by my text editor playing silly buggers.
Find #5 for the day, and a really cool hide. Way to make the obvious interesting!

I thought I might be off to a bad start having selected a few other nearby caches in the shopping center....however I've never been to the Gunghalin shops before and was not expecting them to be so busy on a Sunday morning! Muggles EVERYWHERE so the first two caches of the morning were simply abandoned and as Geometrical Foremation is still off line this was the next stop on my tick sheet for the day. Thankfully this one actually ended up with a "tick".
Good to have finally logged this one as we have had the co-ordinates for a while. A quick bounce up to retrieve the log and sign. TFTC.

I hadn't looked at morse code since I was about 8 and I had a walkie talkie with the codes on it. Had some childhood flashbacks as I solved this one.
Retrieved tonight with Team Diode. Interesting hide as usual Fore! and we had fun on this one!

Lots of recent experience with the code made the puzzle easy, but we were unsure of what to expect with the hide. The fishing line was snagged up and we found a huge hole has been punched through the hiding place at cache level. That actually made it really easy to retrieve, but kind of difficult to rehide effectively! TFTC Fore!
Found at 10:30 with matt_stomper - our fifth find of the day.
I have to credit matt_stomper with doing the hard work here - he even dragged the cache in, and (gently) threw it back for others to catch later. He didn't do a Rex Hunt and kiss it though.

Got to this one about 2330hrs and had fun doing it in the dark. Luckily we had a small torch and I had GeoTeen there to do the hard work. Nice sized container and we laughed to think of how many times we have driven past here just not knowing..... thanks for the cache They say the fishing is always better in either the rain or the dark...guess it must be true .
At GZ I peeked in the door and spotted the catch, and Beltaines_Fire was already fishing away. Came up cleanly, although my hand-eye coordination may need work because I then proceeded to dump the contents out on the ground while handing it over for logging .
Thanks!
Thanks!
#233: Nice straightforward, or was it straightfore!ward, puzzle. When we got to GZ we were a bit stumped, but a bit of poking around and we found everything we needed.
Keeping with the "Gone Fishing" theme, I've dropped of relevant TB

I liked the cache. The line is a bit tangled now - probably due to the rediculous wind today. It was very windy and cold today but we still managed to find the cache and write in the log book.
Thanks for the cool cache.
Thanks for the cool cache.
Could hardly open the door cause the wind was so strong today. Geoyoungens couldn't hold their ground so got back into the car. Love the hide. Wonder how long till this area is developed?
It's been a while since doing a Fore cache. Ahhh, the cleverness of the hide. Felt very normal fishing in the GZ, hoped to catch a bite for dinner.
Late breaking news that I will be working from Bruce again means more lunch-time Fore cache finds - I look forward to that

Wow how embarrassing.
I got stuck in GZ...just like Winnie The Pooh!!!
Head in, bum out all because I dropped my favourite pen in there and I wasnt going without it.
Hugely funny and it all just added to the enjoyment of this whole cache.

Found by Mary & David at 0910. Came by here after going to the local Post Office. The blanket of fog this morning gave us good cover. David the engineer worked out thre puzzle back home in Melbourne. The way the suburbs are growing out this way, there'll probably be a house here on our next visit. Collected 'The Essence of Mystery' TB. Our thanks, and happy fishing, to Fore!

I was on my way to check on my cache on the border and thought I'd find another of Fore!'s puzzle caches.
Solved the puzzle a while ago and was confident as I approached. When I looked in I thought - hmmmm. Is it still here? So headed back to the car and checked on my cache. Later I reread the description and then the hints. OH! I remember seeing that.
I returned and had the cache in hand faster than you could say 'Got one!'.
Dropped off a TB and headed back towards Sydney. Thanks Fore!

Items at gz certainly look forlorn but there's a cache here so that doesn't bother us. After fishing around a bit we soon had it found then onwards to a multi or two which had us tooing and froing all over the place, but more about that later I guess.

It has been a long time since I have used this code, but I could almost remember enough (but I checked to make sure ).
We had lunch at the local kabab shop (looking at the awful mall), so we dropped in on the hide. It is looking very isolated, like it could be built out any moment. But for the moment it won't be accidently found.
Thanks, Robmc.

A busy day golfing and caching. Both worked out well, won the golf and found 6 caches.
I have a freind who use to decode this stuff for a job, so when I was telling her about caching she told me to send it to her and she would work it out. So, I sent her the link and in the meantime wiki was my friend and I also worked it out. When I got her reply we had one number different, and we all know that can put you way off course. So I double checked the numbers and went with my numbers.
After a long day golfing and caching I decided to make use of the 4WD and drove up next to the cache and even left the car running while I retrieved the cache. Now that is a quick find!
