Counting down now to the return to work day on Wednesday, it will be tough after 3 1/2 weeks of travel and caching. On our way back north with alphag_25. Stopped here nice and early for an easy find. Super clean facilities in the park! Finding some of the older caches to fill in some spaces. TFTC

Travelling back in home direction and collecting a few caches along the way. Thanks for placing at this location and we've stopped as we considered an interesting area to visit. Cache in good condition signed log sheet. On a caching holiday from Mackay. In the search of old caches and ones to fill DT grid spaces. Thanks for placing this cache for our enjoyment with mackay_geocaching. Were on our way to Rocky for the weekend to celebrate the birthday of our eldest, which also means we can grab some caches, take in the scenery and escape city life.We couldnt pass up an old cache even though its out the way just a tad, but hey, thats how you find interesting locations, right? We parked right beside the big wheel and as we arrived we could see some sections submerged with water, surely the cache isnt in any of those right? Turns out its not as we found it in the first place we searched. Thanks for bringing us here.#4295 - TFTC

23-Nov-23
After writing a log on this cache only to find it was for the last one we visited I had to cut and paste and then think for a second time on what happened. We had never been to Bauple before so when we turned off the highway all I saw were some old cars and sheds I didnt think a lot of the place. Then we drove the 5 kilometres into the real town and that all changed. We stopped for the cache and then toilets and just before driving away, decided we would also stop here for lunch. We grabbed the picnic basket and bubbles and went and sat at probably the best picnic table we have probably ever seen. It was clean, solid and made of polished wood and it looked like some little elf comes out and shines it up every night. So our first visit to Bauple ended with a great result. tftc

14-Apr-23
Another big day out in the Habanero Sport with Patrol14 & TMZ59…The plan/idea/couple of thoughts strung together, is to try and clear the map between Tiaro & Maryborough…

Seems like Maryborough was the place to be over Easter, couple more cachers and it might have been a Mega…

It’s a bit of running joke… all roads to lead to Bauple… that’s what it seems as you drive up the Bruce… so with some daylight left we took one of the roads to Bauple…

I’m not sure what the bear did to offend the residents, but I was sure to keep my smart mouth closed lest I be hoisted up a piece of antique machinery too…

Thanks The Goons very happy to find this oldie today…

4.07pm
Out for the day with Peppa and TMZ59 and are caching again around Maryborough and surrounds to find a few more caches.
On our way home now and the usual conversation when we drove past the turnoff to Bauple is our seems that all road lead to Bauple.
Today we decided to take one of these roads and see Bauple for ourselves.
Had to grab at least one cache here. Lovely historical location and was able to make a quick find. The bear approved of our visit.

Many wizards and witches come from the Ramtops, because life is relatively difficult in the rural mountains and so people tend to be very practical before they think of doing anything fantastic, and a practical turn of mind is very necessary for the successful practice of magic.

1/4/2023 Find #5987
The Easter Holidays are here! And a group of us have a plan. Meaning today is the day we all leave our respective locations and all bar one of us make our way up to Maryborough for the night.
Fangsoki and I collected Just a Trifle on the way through, and then had a couple of select caches along the way I very much wanted. This was the first of those.
We pulled up and wandered over, and saw lots of dirty water pooled in a number of spots of the wheel. There was a moment or two of dread. But I can say I was definitely glad to discover the cache was high and dry, and wasn’t in the water.
Then we continued down the road to head back out to the highway, and I was pleasantly surprised when we rounded the corner and saw the old Nut Mobile sitting there. Fond memories of that back in the day at the Big Pineapple.
Thanks for the cache The Goons.

I found this cache with CJDenno today after grabbing a coffee at the town museum. We originally were looking around the structure but then looked at the structure and found it. Thanks to the container type, it was difficult to get the log out of it.

Collecting old caches to and from our little group's trip to Maryborough. Was told this park contained the cleanest public toilets in Qld so was looking forward to testing this statement out. After leaving the car to fend for itself, went in search of this clean loo only t find it was locked up. No wonder its the cleanest public toilets, no one can use them. At least the old cache was quickly located. Thanks to the Goons for giving me a reason to visit this spot.

Yay - road trip to Townsville for the MEGA and stopping along the way to pick up a few to help other Challenge caches that I am doing,
This was planned stop number 1 for the day.
Geo-daughter drives the first stretch, so we picked Bauple as our stop, as it was 2 hours from home. Longest drive she has done so far as an L Plater. Did a great job too, what with the road works, overtaking the really slow drivers and the like.
Parked by the Federation park, used the facilities before then wandering around to grab the cache.
Thanks for bringing us to a place we'd never have stopped at without having a cache here.

TFTC. We had not been out in a little while and with a new souviner in the offing we decided to head out along the Netherby Road and then circle back to Maryborough via Bauple. We had not been along these road previously so it was a leisurely trip. We attempted and found 22 caches in the Tiaro-Gundiah-Bauple area. Thnaks to the CO’s for putting these out so we could explore the area.

**Found 09/02/2021 at 4:42:39 PM Smiley #1103 Big Grin**

Kids had a paret-teacher information session so I made the quick drive from Beaudesert to Hervey Bay and back in a day. Never been to Bauple. And if it wasn't for these caches I probably wouldn't have detoured off the highway. There were three out this way, I found one. A big fat DNF on the Rest area cache, and the next one down in the BBQ area people were there so I turned around and went home. One would consider to not be the most successful of detours but means I'll be back.

Pulling up to this one I was hoping it would give me a hint for the Rest area cache, however, it did not. Nice easy find, and the cache was in good condition and it wasn't long before I was back in the car. Long drive back to Beaudesert, I was done for the day

Thanks for the cache **The Goons** Big Grin

05-Jul-20
After a long weekend of caching as a group it was now time to depart and start grabbing a few of my own to fill in some blank areas of interest. Most of these were park and grabs or very short walk types. This was one of those, not an oldie yet but one day it will be and seeing as though I had a little time left in the day I thought a short drive over to grab this one was in order. A quick park and grab and all good with this cache. With log signed and cache returned it was off to complete the others in this area. Thank you it for placing here.

28-Feb-19
We were heading to Bundaberg and to find on the way and I had targeted this cache. A detour off the highway.and a stop off at the museum for a coffee and a cache.

I searched around and found the empty container sitting on the ground with no lid. I found a zip bag in the car and put in a page of paper and replaced it back in a hiding spot. The magnet is not very strong so I would recommend that the CO have a check on it in the near future.
