Logs
As there's been no cache to find or log to sign for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
Will just take this online until we have the chance to go and check. The council are doing a lot of work on the linear trail.
Found the first two waypoints easily enough, but only had a brief look at gz before I ran out of time. Will return soon.
Spent ages look for the second waypoint but could not find it - GPS was going mad. So unfortunately we gave up.
Don't know if it was us or due to the local reno works that have just been finished.

From the starting point I had problems getting around to WP2, they are doing alot of work on this linear trail at the moment and have blocked off some of the trail. No problems really I just had to drive around to the next WP instead! Also blocked off, but I jumped the orange bunting with no one looking and located WP2.. now onto GZ. Found eventually and it was kinda out in the open! The log in damp and slightly mouldy. I re-hid the cache merely 30cm away from where I found it. TFTC
Onto no.2 of this series!

The log in damp and slightly mouldy. Needs drying out and a bit of a clean out.
Found this one with SA_Parrothead while passing through to another cache. Nice hide!! TFTC.
I see where I went wrong, will have another go soon.......don't like not finding them
Ill try again sometime.
Looked another 20 mins with no luck, someone give me a hint please. Doesn't seem to be at GPS location.

Spent ages trying to find WP1 and were almost going to give up , only seeing it by luck [xx(].
Fortunately, GZ only took a couple of minutes to locate .
TNLNSL.
The adjacent tree looks like it's marked for removal, which may have implications for future finds.
TNLNSL.
Thanks Stanleys, we enjoyed the walk [^].

Two of us searched pretty long and hard. GZ seemed to point us under a bridge (which looked like a nice place to hide a cache) but try as we might we could not find the little blighter!
Grrr.
Grrr.
When I got to GZ I was deciding where to start and there was the cache out in the open.
Quickly logged it and replaced with a bit more cover.
Inside is wet but log book is dry.

Was planning to get this one yesterday but picked it up today instead as we work our way down the river. I remember walking my sister's dog along here many years ago; a beautiful place!
1st attempt at this series. Found plaque okay, and co-ords for what we thought was the cache! Who didn't read the instructions properly??? After searching fruitlessly for at least 45mins gave up, and went on to another cache. Came home and after re-reading logs to see where we went wrong everything is now clear! WILL RETURN SOON!
This is my first multi cache and on such an excellent walking trail it was a pleasure to do.
Got clue and sighned log.
Thanks for the cache!

Thanks for the cache!
Took two attempts at this one! Caught up with the owners on the second attempt! Nice to meet you! Love the second WP! I'm wondering if this should be shifted a little? It's in a nice hidey hole, but it seems the steepish embankment is starting to suffer some errosion. Thanks the Stanleys!
WP1 found in a flash, GZ took an hour - talk about WELL HIDDEN. A pleasant walk along a gently gurgling stream, Thanks.
Enjoyed the walk along the river. Nice to hear water flowing. Was a bit confused about the waypoints. Had anticipated the plaque to be wp1. Took a bit to find cache. Very well hidden and a little more south of where etrex said gz was located than expected, but its been doing that a lot of late (or is it just the dodgy user!). The first in this series we've found. Looking forward to doing more. Thanks stanleys.
Found at 15:10.
I really made a mess of this one. Somehow I failed to notice the line in the notes about the second waypoint, and I proceeded to search for over 1/2 an hour for a cache that didn't exist, made worse by the fact that my GPS wouldn't settle down and gave wildly varying positions. I ended up calling a friend, who mentioned something about the 3rd location - DOH!
After that, an easy find. Like Winterdragon, I also spotted it from the path, and also encountered a playful dog running along the creek, chasing ducks.
Nice walk though.

We found our 1st Stanleys cache at 7:35am as the 1st of 23 on our Southern Adelaide Ramble with Cold Freeze and Bazzars. I had chosen this series as a must to do this morning as the series sounded as if it covered some interesting terrain. It was indeed a beautiful walk along the creek before Bazzars came up with the find. Thanks for the cache from D B-A.
I thought I better start collecting the Stanley caches around the area, starting with this one. It was a perfect day for a walk along the river, and there were a few muggles out enjoying the sunshine.
As I was looking for the container at the first waypoint, I was joined by a couple of excited dogs who jumped into the river and proceeded to splash around, and generally have a good time.
The find at GZ wasn't too bad - I spotted the cache from the track! Covered it a bit better on that side.
TNLN - Thanks Stanleys!

The sun came out so it made for a warmish stroll - a pleasant change. Lots of happy muggles. So many happy muggles. I took a pic of the running water and found myself smiling too. [^]
Clear skies and thanx Stanleys from TeamAstro.
Having been able to replace our wet tops with some rain jackets we had stored in the car (saved for a rainy day) we were able to continue our caching. This one didn't give us any trouble as we were able to find wp 1 in the first place we looked. A lovely area and enjoyable cache. Thanks stanleys
A nice walk to start off the morning although WP1 took a while to find. In the end it was easier than expected.

Oops I forgot to write down the clue
Now I will need to return and grab them

Enjoyed the walk even if the path was rather slippery in places. Need to take own pen/pencil. Thanks stanleys for the cache and hunt.
Pouring with rain as we arrived. There is a lot of water in the creek. Hope that is a good thing. Hooray for the rain. Farmers love it. Nice park. Thanks guys.
We liked your another simple multi and enjoyed it. We really enjoyed our stroll towards the cache. We found it with no problem.
Thanks Stanleys for the cache.

Found the cache at 9.10am. Accompanies with Joan for the day. We enjoyed walk along to the cache. Took Salty Sea Dogs Compass Geocoin. Thanks Stanleys for organising the cache and hunt.
Time to make a start on this series. Still we had spent a lot lomger doing Magoie Gully than we intended so only got to do this one today.
and I dont want to talk about the dog poo and my gps.

Went for a ride on the bikes with the kids after tea. Going back and forward over the linear park. A good ride. Thanks.
Set out on a mission to complete the Sturt River series. Got to the first as the heavens opened up. Signed log in the pooring rain, then decided to leave the rest for another day. Thanks for the cache stanleys!
1st visit resulted in finding the co-ords for final GZ, but run out of time, and then run into friends as I came out of the bushes!
2nd visit resulted in a find.
TFT excellent C - looking forward to the others in the series.

My first in this series and on a great day for some strolling caches. This was a lovely walk up river and I located the first two locations easily. At GZ I was eventually forced to use my phone a friend option and then it still took some time. TNLN. Thanks stanleys.
15th of nineteen for the day. I used to walk along Main Road going to the Primary School. The liniar park is much more pleasant. Passed near a lot of houses were friends used to live on this cache, thanks for the memories.
An entirely pleasant walk on a sunny afternoon. The scenery was so fantastic, I (and I'm showing my nerdiness here) felt like I was wandering through Astranaar in World of Warcraft.
This was to be our first find in our Sturt series assault, and what a great way to start. The walk along the gently flowing river in beautiful spring sunshine was simply the best (that’s a good idea for a song ) and the cache was found relatively easily. TNLN. Gathered the clue and moved onto the next. Cheers J & M
well after our GPS playing complete and utter silly buggers.. (with WP1)(didn't like the trees we think or the Bush security boys had the satellites tied up elsewhere...)
we did find finally complete this lovely walk along the creek.. though dog muggles and their human muggle mates weren't so helpful for us.
TNLN
thanks stanleys.

A quick early morning walk to put corrected clue in the cache. Now cachers won't need water wings or be in trouble with SA Water at Happy Valley reservoir! Apologies to earlier finders who have been emailed with correct clue.
Hehehehe ... I'm pleased that you got Hurtle to Beta-test it
These all look like fun. We may have to take you up on your offer of B&B and journey down south - soon, before the weather hits its stride...

3rd place, and the 2nd of the series done..
Made hard work of the WP1 hide!
A nice walk, which I cheated on. Got the 1st set of co-ords yesterday on way home... and completed today, the shorter version! Final co-ords were spot on.
TNLNSL
Thanks again Stanleys...

Cheers

Buoyed on by our success at the Fire Track, the boys were keen to do this one too!
Enjoyed an invigorating walk along the river in the cool evening air. Seemed to be very pleasant, but it was a bit hard to tell in the dark.
Took the TB, but had nothing to leave.
BTW another FTF ...well worth the drive south.
