The wall in which this cache originally was placed has been demolished, and a new wall erected, some two metres in front of where the cache was originally placed. Suggest it be killed off, as the CO hasn't been online for over two years.
The wall in which the cache is (was?)located has been demolished, and the area is being redeveloped.
The Livistona sign had fallen down, putting my arboricultural skills to the test!
Good hint

Easy find once we were on the right level. Find number 2 of 7 today in the area with a geocolleague. Cheers!
This was a quick find this morning, due to the nice hint
Another beautiful morning walk together with Landlockedsailors and their dog. I really enjoy the garden so early in the day - right before the heat and the humidity kicks in.
Thanks a lot for the cache

Couldn't do it. My moral compass says no to walking thru a garden... In a botanical garden
Took the long way to find this one as it was the middle of the night but this didnt stop us and using the clues we were able to locate the cache
Another quick find with iluvtrekking while visiting the gardens. Left a new log sheet.

We found this cache during our trip from Broome to Darwin via Kakadu National Park. As we did not have any internet connection during our trip, we could only log it after having returned to Switzerland. Many thanks to the owner, it was fun.
Found eventually... There are a lot of holes in that wall!
Alas, no shade for me at this time of day! Thanks NTSTROM

This was our 7th cache find in the caching run & we found it at 12:12
So this now makes our total find count 6857.

Another wonderful day in Darwin. The cache raid today was a random start point followed by a string of caches selected, in most cases, by the "next closest" method.
We are not sure that placing the cache here is a good idea. Encouraging visitors to trample garden beds is never a good thing.
[/blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: Poor (Around 14 metres).
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Nothing.
Thanks NTSTROM for the hunt today.

At least I didn't need to actually search the Livistona Austalis
They are nasty trees that will rip any unsuspecting cacher to shreds with their sawlike leaves [:o]
By the shade of this fine specimen I did find a cache today [^]

Very excited found our first cache. Log book is full. A lot of names in there.
This is surely an original cache given its condition. Thanks for showcasing this lovely park NTSTROM.
ASSAULT ON DARWIN MARCH 2013
The tin is a little damaged and getting rusty. Might need to look at a new container. Good hide though. TFTC

Found by Laura.... wall seems to be a little damaged (hope not by previous Geocachers)
We enjoyed our Garden's day
and searched for boxes on our way.
This has a tricky hide indeed
but for long search there was no need.
Our # 4 in sunny Oz.

Quick find on my cycle round the Botanic Gardens this morning. The container is starting to look quite battered. TFTC.
Lovely afternoon stroll through the park caching on our journey, Easy find though the log has gone, guess that it has become saturated and decomposed at some time as the container is no longer waterproof. TFTC
Nothing like a good scramble amongst the foliage to give the local bush hens a run for their money. Finally found cache though it has seen better days and tobacco tin at Ack Ack? it has has rusted out and in no longer waterproof. TFTC
Took a while to find this one, as the sign for the palm was on the ground.
Found at 3pm. TFTC

Found it before the Geocaches Picnic. A wine tasting event was being held in the park and also a wedding. Lots of people around
Found it just after the geocacher's picnic. Busy area today; wine tasting, weddings, geocachers. Nice spot.
Great spot for a cache in beautiful gardens...easy find...thanks NTSTROM cheers.! cabbos
Found and sat down next to the palm for a lovely sunset picnic! Be careful not to destroy the wall any more

Had a day in Darwin today, so we thought we would let the Geocaches take us to some unusual but mostly very interesting and stunning places.
Cache in good condition. Thanks for setting this up.

Found it. Definitely needed the clues as my GPS had me 10mts off from actual site. Great day out,
Thank you

at 11:23 on our day in Darwin on our cruise from Singapore to our home town of Brisbane, Australia in the Rhapsody of the Seas.
TFTC NTSTROM. The cache is fine.

Took a little while longer to find than expected. Our GPSr had GZ way up on the other side of the path than the wall so were looking all over the place for the sign with no joy up there. Looked high and low and eventually found the sign lying flat on the ground so soon had the right plant. With its long trunk curving and pointing to the cache, it was soon found. Then took a fair bit of effort to prise the lid loose.

Found at 4.15pm GAFF1. It was interesting to see the differences in the palms when they are near each other - they all look the same to us otherwise.
Hope cachers haven't wrecked that wall by being over zealous in their hunt!
Thanks NTSTROM.

Lucky the trees all have name tags at the base otherwise we might have taken a bit longer finding this one.
