4.23. Unarchiving a Geocache

The archiving of a geocache is intended to be a permanent status. That is why only community volunteer reviewers and Geocaching HQ staff have the capability to unarchive it. This is done only in rare circumstances and only if it meets the current Geocache Listing Guidelines.

If a geocache is archived by a reviewer or staff for lack of maintenance it will not be unarchived.

Went out for a looksie around my new town today. But there was no Cache to be found, have the feeling the Raafies may have removed it :/

11-Jun-16
????no where in sight

06-Sep-15
This place looks destroyed. Stayed for about 30mins looking everywhere safe to do so, the smell was enough to drive me away. The Left over unplumbed toilets are still getting used by some unsavory characters and it was bad. Would recommend giving this one a miss to all. Needs attention. Sorry..

23-May-15
Had a good look around but no luck

14-May-15
Couldn't find, had looked high and low, in and out of the area, still no luck.....

14-May-14
No luck today. The white ants seem to be winning the battle, with everything falling.

01-Dec-13
Took us a while but eventually came up with the goods. TFTC.

22-Sep-13
A bit run down and fallen down but found none the less.

17-Aug-13
Heading towards Katherine, on our 2nd trip around Australia.
We were a bit concerned, thought the hole thing was going to fall on us.
Cache was found easily, though it blended in well.
Thanks for the cache, CHEDENT.

19-Jul-13
Found whilst on my best day of caching EVER! Thanks to CHEEDNT for the hide.

19-Jun-13
On a Trip to the top end for the V8 Race weekend 14 days of driving and racing
i was checking in the wrong side of the pipes when firesafe found it

19-Jun-13
After 5 days in Darwin for the V8's and a little sightseeing it was time to head south back to the cold. Of course we grabbed caches on the way. Spent today in the Katherine area before staying the night at the Mataranka Thermal Pool. Smile

Quick find and sign for this one - didnt spot the python. TFTC. Big Grin

15-Jun-13
My day started at sunrise and in the surprisingly cool chill of the morning I was on me pushbike headed for the airport Razz
Of course I was going to pick up as many caches as I could along the way Big Grin
Would I actually make it to the airport ?
There were so many caches !!

OK!! So I have been in a caching desert for the last couple of weeks traveling from Mareeba in Qld.
I was lucky if I found one cache a day [:o]
I went for three days on the road without a single cache to actually find [:o]
Now suddenly I was in cache overload territory Big Grin

Fortunately I had tackled a few 'power trails' in Wodonga, Taree and Stanthorpe in the last few months and the skills you pick up on those cache-finding fiestas never really leave you [^]
So I quickly fell into the familiar routine Smile

Next thing you know I am at the terminal Big Grin
Very quiet out here on a Saturday lunchtime [:o]
So I headed for the club Big Grin

What a fantastic place, I love the old Ken Maynard cartoons on the walls [^]
Sure it is a bit run down, but you can imagine the olde days if you sit on the verandah for a while and let the mind wander Big Grin

OK!! Time to find a cache.
I headed in ....
.... hey look, someone has left a rubber snake on the cistern Razz
It moved !! [:o]
OK!! So that isn't the cache, but a very cute little python that has made it's home here Big Grin
Turning around I spied the cache sitting in another corner.
A quick application of the car keys had the lid off in no time Big Grin

TFTC and visit to Katherine (aka Tindal) airport [^]

This was our 8th cache in our caching run today - and we found it at around 12:28.
(So this is our 4600th total find.)

Found quickly by Ian, but couldn't get Penny's attention due to the roar of jet fighters taking off.

Took: Nothing
Left: Parachute Man

27-Oct-11
A bit of activity at the airport, but nowhere near the level of activity of the big black ants swarming all over the place, particulary guarding the cache. Rolled the tin in the grass for a while to get the buggers of. Thanks CHEDENT.

Not the most celebrious location for our 100th find in the Northern Territory. Initially we though the cache container was just part of the debris but a closer look showed otherwise. TFTC CHEDENT

07-Jul-11
It was easy to find. That day was busy and it was a strange place to hide. I was worried about the muggles. I saw two men having lunch nearby. I was glad that it didn't take me long to find the cache.

01-Jul-11
I'm not going in there with those spiders - Mrs. Rascal. Turned out to be fairly straightforward. TFTC.

10-Jun-11
Felt very, very, dodgy hunting round here at night with torches. Ended up calling the hunt off and leaving. Cheers Gav

Felt nervous searching around here with torches at night.

23-May-11
Find number 13 for the day, and find number 298 on the twentyfourth day of our month long trip to Warwick, Lightning Ridge, Boulia, Plenty Highway, Alice Springs, Ayres Rock, Darwin, and home. Found at 1255hrs Qld time.

Our last for Katherine, and as it turned out, the last for the day on our run down the Stuart Highway. It turns out there are only 2 more caches to find between here and Camooweal.

Grabbed the Geocoin.

Cheers
Bundy

25-Apr-11

We took the top gear keyring and left the deepcreek national park map.

24-Apr-11
Dropped off Daisey coin.
Mad2wins is now retired

15-Apr-11
I was really hoping to catch an FA-18 landing while doing this cache as my last few days in the area I've seen many flying around, but alas no planes just the cache. After reading the clue I tried looking in the john only to be confronted with a nasty huntsman spider (think I'll hold on till I get home, thanks). Cache was found shortly after and I grabbed the GeoCoin to take back to Melbourne (as is its goal). TFTC

18-Mar-11
Great hide in a unique location. Took yoyo left key ring. TFTC

28-Aug-10
A nice easy one... provided you don't try to get to GZ via the restricted access RAAF base! Anyway that's the way the GPS said to go, but it was wrong (again!) TFTC

Didn't take long to track this one down which was appreciated as I was hunting after work and it was quite warm for the visiting Bris-Vegan. I did wonder if Big Brother was watching though... Surprised

I left the Blue Krittah TB brought up from QLD.
