Logs
As there's been either no response from the cache owner, no cache to find or log to sign, or it's been a number of months since the last owner note. I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it. Should you replace the cache after 30 days has passed please create a new cache listing so it can be reviewed as a new cache.
The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention. I'm temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary. Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 30 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness. If you require more time please be sure to post a note (not an email) explaining the situation and how much more time you require. For ongoing issues please ensure you visit the page and post a note every month or so to keep everyone up to date.

Another waste of time after reading the logs danwashere previously found the cache in Jan 11 and states in Jan of this year that it is no longer there. He also wants to take this cache over as it is a good piece of history to highlight, so by archiving it he can then take over the location.
Dropped by on the way to the shops and this one has definitely gone. As the owner hasn't been in the game for a while I'm happy to take on maintenance responsibilities. Can any one advise how this is done.
I can see GZ from my house and I like to drop in on this cache every now and then and see how it is going. It has definitely surcomed to the effects of gravity and is no longer there. The co appears not to be in the game any more so I don't know if they will be back to fix this one. I'm happy to take over ownership. Does anyone know how to transfer ownership?
Another visit, and another DNF. So much for trying to find x 30 caches in day for a challenge requirement for the MGSc cache in NZ.
May try again when visiting with the son in Newcastle, but won't be back just for this.

Had no luck at this one in the middle of the day. Asked by a lawyer what was wrong with the carriage, it's broken obviously.
On going back over my log book it seems I didn't log this DNF, actually noted online 1/2/13!
Had been hoping for another 'Night Cache' and searched from 0250 - 0320. No luck.
Needing a cache check as I basically had no muggles to contend with, and you think that it should be able to Found in those circumstances.

This is about my third attempt at this one but today it was so easy I must have been looking with my hands behind my back before.

Cache #500. Needed one more today for our milestone and this was it. Saw the previous logs but as it was close by we thought we should check it out. Its condition was as previous logs had described. I think the CO has been out of the game for the last 18 months or more so there didn't seem to be any likelyhood of it being fixed anytime soon. Had to do something about it.
In our cache bag we had a spare painted mint tin (hands up all those who hate mint tins!) for just such an occasion. Placed a new log in the mint tin, which the old magnetic base just clings to, then put both in a small ziploc bag. Placed all back in the hide and its now ready to be hunted down again.

Beauitful day today, go out for a day at Wallsend area, Enjoyed day... easy to find but missing lid and lognote on the cache as need replace... thanks
Was worried that the cache was going to be muggled as there where about 5 council workers cleaning the carriage all out, under and around it. went to get some other caches and came back when they had all cleared away and had quick look and located the container. all is good and not muggled. cache container is sort of broken and may need a replacement as lid may come off. log book is also full and needs to be replaced. didnt have any spare ones on me sorry. Never noticed this, although we've been past lots of times.
Cache holder is broken, although holding together - just.

Took a while, looked straight past it then when i knew what i was looking for, found it straight away tftc
Found just on dark still had to wait for Mugglers to go away before put catche back.
We parked right in front of this one with the streets deserted. It took a while to see the well hidden container, a much easier find than we at first thought. Thanks for a great hide.
Tried this one some years ago, brought an assistant with me today, thank goodness 'cause he found it, TFTC AlienRiders!!
A quick find on our first day in newcastle. Despite the unrelenting rain I was able to locate the cache reasonably quickly. Luckily the rain also kept the muggle factor very low. Tftc.
The rest of the GeoKrew were checking out the new skatepark when I noticed a cache only 100m or so away. This one took me far too long as I was standing up and thinking vertically! Another quick look after abandoning any hints soon gave up the cache location! Thanks
First find for me! Great Hide, took ages to find, almost gave up but checked again and found it! TFTF
A great piece of history kept in suburbia. Looked for a bit and then consulted the clue which narrowed things down nicely. Well hidden and cammo'd. Thanks AllenRiders.
4939. [font=Century Gothic][green]Definitely hard to see as we played prairie dogs under the hopper. Mr Winglen then found it much to my relief - not sure if by touch or not.

Did not take long to find, but the log was soaked. The container had probably been sitting with wrong end up during some heavy rain.
Been here a couple of times but the area was muggled out. Tried at 6:20 am and that did the trick. Quick look and the cache was in hand. TFTC.
A nice easy find.
Good bit of history. I am about to start in the transportation of coal by rail, so this was good for me to see what was used in the older days.

The 7yo goekid found it in the dark - I think he just got lucky. Nice Hide. TFTC.
took a little while to locate this one while keeping an eye on a painter working nearby and a few walkers, Sunday was definately the time to do it though, TFTC
A quick stop to let the kids stretch legs - very quiet on a Sunday, no muggles around. Tricky hide the geokids didn't guess, kind of obvious after the pickup.
Should have gone with gut feeling first. Had to wait for people getting in and out of their cars for 20mins before I could make the find. TFTC.
We were stopped at GZ by a woman sitting in her car...she just wouldn't leave. It took almost 1 hour before her husband returned and they left. Quickly found the cache. Great container. Good work. SL TFTC.
Reperio at 1620. What an interesting little spot full of history. Thought this one may take a while, but amazingly enough I found it in the first place I looked. Great info on the cache page.

Great spot, been past this thousands of times and was glad to find this one. Found with Mishelly1990.
Great Hide, didnt use the coords, found by the hint... Was looking for ages on the vertical things, about to give up when Achilles#9 decided to look in the most obvious spot which was a horizontal spot... There is a little pencil in it.. great hide Thanks
Found at 11:45 while waiting for Father in-law. I lived in this area when I was young and can remember playing on old train machenry when my father was playing Soccer at Crystal Palace Football oval, it is know Shopping center, what a shame.

Luckily no muggles this morning so i had plenty of time to search the carriage,Which took a while before i finally had the cache in hand. Nice hide ....SL TFTC
No. 50 for me!
This is a good hide with muggles likely at any moment, it takes a bit of stealth to make the find.

on the second visit to the hopper there was a muggle parked right in front of it so I waited for him to go and had a quick look and this time found the cache easly. I spent a long time going over the same spot last time and didn't see it. grabed the cache and signed the log but the muggle came back before I could replace it and decided to stay there while I showed some interest in the hopper.
A quick slight of hand had it in place again and as I left so did the muggle.

First find for the night, second time backing in Newcastle. Reliatively easy find almost a drive by! TFTC SL
Took some family members along for their first geocaching experience. Had a bit of trouble finding it as it wasn't really where the clue suggested. But we eventually found it and my teenage niece and nephews are keen for their next geocaching adventure.
VERY high muggle activity pushed our stealth skills to overload, but M-Dogg managed to find this one after a bit of a search. Found by M-Dogg, Lolz & Mik-El! TFTC
After a lot of stealthy searching, I finally decided to do a bit more of an obvious search and found it straight away. Hopefully without muggle's noticing! Very busy area, would probably be best on a cold day when it's a bit quieter. Great hide, thanks! SL
Took us about 20 minutes as the pub had just closed for the night and we had to wait for all the drunk muggles to either walk by or get into taxis! Thank you for the history and the cache.
This was our 4087th overall find.
Found at about 1:14 PM. We had to visit this one twice to avoid some muggles but the second time around we made a quick find.
Thanks to SUBYDAZZ for the cache.
