Great history. Quick find on a beautiful day. Cache needs replacing. It was full of water so we couldn't sign it. TFTC
As others have mentioned, container is broken. Logbook is wet & mouldy. It's a pretty spot so a bit of TLC would be great to keep it active.
Found it with Tweety2 on the way home from Edithburgh JLWE Event. We were just unable to sign the log due to soggy & mouldy, see pic attached. Needs Maintenance, picturesque area.
This is the only proof that we found it. Because the log was glued shut with mould.
Needs maintenance bad... container is majorly brittle.. just like my leg.. everything in it is saturated and stinks.. The weeds are waist high.. which caused me to fall over a large log... Instantly bruised my leg and foot... was funny afterwards but not at the time.
Hi there Reviewer,
RE: The cache "Cocky's Crossing"
I'm following up on my "Needs Maintenance" log which is now well over 28 days old.
There has been no action by the CO. The cache appears to have been abandoned and perhaps needs to go.
Regards
Ian & Penny

Hi there supachick.
We found your cache **"Cocky's Crossing"** at 1:24:00 PM today. (This makes our find count 16037).
Our trek today took us from Gladstone, through Crystal Brook and on to Merriton following the "next closest" route plotted by the GPS. Then it was through Wandeeran and Lauriston before heading back to Gladstone using the same method.. On our trek we found a variety of container types. & ended up finding 18 caches with 0 DNF's.
Thanks for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The cache is UV damaged, very brittle and mouldy. It really needs some owner TLC. mouldy
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing,.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

The area is hugely overgrown after a wet winter. Luckily the GPS lead me close to GZ and after a short search, the container was uncovered. Container lid is broken and the log is saturated. I would tread carefully here once the weather warms up and joe blakes become active. Tftc

#2410 - Found by Bruce in the morning on our ride from Port Germain. The scrub has been substantially cleaned so wandering around was easy compare to previous logs.
All part of the fun and challenges on our AroundOz bicycle tour via the highest peak in each State and mainland Territory.

Many thanks to the cache owner supachick for establishing and maintaining this cache. We had our morning tea on the other side of the River Broughton in a nasty westerley for bike riding.

Nice hide. Thank you for the fun from Sydney! We enjoyed finding this one (:
Our tour from Sydney to Ayers Rock took roughly two weeks. We can't reproduce which cache we've visited at what time any more. That's why we logged all of them at the same days, so don't be confused about that (:

KarpyKarpyson and I embarked on a sweep of the Port Pirie region today. 30 caches in total for me. This one took a while as the GPS had us all over the place. KK found it while I was off with the fairies thinking the high terrain would send me over the edge! TFTC
with Limbage on a day of caching on the way to and around PT Pirie ... thanks for the hide .
Found It!
Nice little spot for a cache! No water in the river today despite all the rain in recent days...

I had a bit of a battle with the scrub here looking for the cache
The creek had water in it, but I would not have wanted to fall down the steep creek bank to get to the water [:o]
And just when I thought I would never find this cache, it appeared

Parked on the wrong side of the bridge and in walking back across the grass Mr Beetle trod on a broken bit of bottle which went straight through his caching shoes [thongs]. Not a good start to our search here but no real damage done which was lucky.
The cache was a quick find and pretty much laying there totally exposed.
Amused as we drove away from this one that the local farmer has baled the roadside verge - got a fair few bales off it too.
Thanks.

Touring Australia having left Perth in late February we are leisurely touring South Australia after having attended Oz Mega.
The day was fairly warm with the odd shower to keep us alert. We managed to find a few caches along the way with the caravans in tow, so we only stopped where it was safe to do so.

Took the kids for an arvo of caching, would have been better
if it wasn't so windy. Just had to synchronize door openings
to stop things blowing out of the car.
Could have been difficult with all the trees about but we
lucked upon the find very quickly
TNLN, thanks supachick

4 of 11 Finds, 5 DNF's on this run
2086 Total Finds
Spotted this one on the radar as we were headed to Bute. The Missus pulled over on the other side of the bridge, and I hoofed it back to this one. Again, SOGGY feet after walking through the tall weeds and grass. And, they would remain soggy the rest of the day, like the prior three days. I don't think my feet will ever be dry again.

South Australia 2013 with Sol de Lune. We headed off on 12/4 and arrived home on 28/4. The trip was to visit the SA series so more time could be spent at the Mega itself next year. We did a huge variety of caching around Murray Bridge, the Mid North, Yorke Peninsula and Whyalla Region. Apart from one wet night and two wet days we were able to spend heaps of time caching.
Today we were traveling to Whyalla for the FTF trail. A bit more distance and less caching, but a fun day. Everyone has done a great job of placing a great variety of caches and we had a great day.
Thanks.

Grabbed with Albida on our 2 week caching run from Canberra to, and around, different parts of South Australia including Loxton, Murray Bridge, Tailem Bend, Yorke Peninsula and around to Whyalla before heading home via Broken Hill, Cobar and Parkes. We completed a few power trails and left a couple to do when in the area again for next years Mega event.
Overall a great many different styles and types of caches found. A great time was had caching for 16 days straight as well as camping along the way.
Thanks for adding to the fun with this cache.

I always laugh to myself when I pop out of the bush as a car is passing, I'm convinced they will believe I was having a 'comfort stop' TFTC! I would never see things like this area with it's historical sign if not for geocaches like this.
Finally found it in the last searched (which definitely wasn't the first). It'd look amazing when in flood. TFTC.
After a detour to a nearby cemetery, first of four for today, we were back on the main roads heading north. This wasn't here last time we tried but in luck today. Thanks
Spent an enjoyable day with Moses on the Move, travelling 400km over 14 hours, learning the history of the area and gaining smileys.
Thanks

My second visit to find this one, I was right on the money last time but didnt find it among the thorns and sour sobs. TFTC
Our second attempt at this one, thought it had gone but finds turned up on the watch list, found ourselves in the area and was successful today even with the flakey coords under the trees, took a bit of searching with the soursobs covering everything TFTC
Our 2nd DNF today.
We spent quite some time here at around 3:28:00 PM, but couldn't locate the cache.

This was trickier than the rating suggested. GPS not playing the game in the tree canopy. Last chance luck kicked in on this one even with 4 sets of eyes looking. TFTC
Found as a part of TheKellyGang, writing this as a genaric log as I was a part of TheKellyGang and am now out on my own.

Geodad went for a bush walk, Geomum waited at the car, then seen geodad walking around , asked him have you found it, not yet. Geomum then decided another set of eyes where better than one pair, by the time Geomum got to Geodad he said I just found it, well hidden, signed new log and left a reindeer. TFTC
Nearly gave up on this one before finally coming up with the prize. Signed the new log book and left the old one alone on the advice of previous finder

Ok to be fair I did not find it but a fellow traveller did,I was in the area and after trying to find it some time ago thought I'd give it another go.I was looking in all the obvious and some not so obvious when my fellow traveller walked over with a log book and a perished container, fantastic I thought so I signed the log, went and got a replacement container and pencil and returned to the site.It was then that I was informed that he was marking his spot when he happenned to find the container,I have left a new logbook as well.So it's your choice which you sign but you have been warned
DNF on this one and definatly needs a look at. Either that or is very very very very well hidden
Had a hunt around for a while it was like hunting for a needle in a haystack. Quite a bit of overgrowth may need a maintenance check. TFT hunt anyway.
Add me to the list of DNF's - hunted high and low but there is evidence of flooding in the area
After a good long search I found nothing, not a sign! There is evidence of localised flooding hereabouts and I suspect the cache might have been washed away into the nearby creek some time ago.
Make ours DNF #3 here. Spent a good 10 minutes going round and round our GZ to no avail. Still a way to go, so we called it off then.
DNF this one. Saw previous searchers efforts but on our way home and time running out. Found 54 others on my Southern Flinders Ranges sightseeing and Geocaching holiday. TFTC – Unka Dave
I have to say this one beat me today but as Arnie declared "I will be back", to many sour sobs, not enough daylight hours left.
Came past here before, but decided to trust GPS and while geo-man was trying to find co-ord i ducked down to look in a bush and came up with the goods. TFTC
Whoo Hooo thought we would have to give up.... but a lucky find at the last minute!!
No luck with this one, lots of bull ants thou!! Next time i won't wear thongs
A nice easy find. I emptied the water out of the container. The book is still dry. Appears that there was a great rush of water through this area recently. What a great spot to sit and ponder after a long drive. TFTC
Nup. Nothing. Not a sausage. Found the bricks. GPSr took me to the tree several times but then just moved me around and around and around. Spent too much time here with no real clue of a GZ start point even with a GPS(?) Grumble, grumble....
Plenty of history at this creek crossing. Found cache without drama. Thankyou for bringing us here and organising the hide.

No luck here today, re-entered the area from a few different angles hoping to enlighten my senses, no such luck. There's a few I've missed on this trip, I'll have to keep them stored for next time I'm out this way.
I was back, and I walked straight to the cache!
How did I miss that last time? Perhaps it was all the debris that had been wased from it this time.
TNLNSL, Cheers.
