Travelling with iluvtrekking on a SA caching foray. Staying a couple of days in Clare to grab some finds. Thanks for the hide
Found with richlink as part of our Annual Caravan Geocaching Trip.We are staying in Clare for a couple of days and gathering some hides around the countryside. Thanks for the cache.
Caching along some back roads from Riverton to Owen and then around the nice little town of Owen and enjoying coffee at the delightful Steamy Beanz Cafe and lunch at the Owen Arms HotelLike others before us we found the cache about 14metres south of where our GZ was showing. However the hide was in a pretty obvious spot so no problem at all. Many thanks for this multi Moses on the move
Found it! After almost getting bogged on the way to the first location (Do not use Branson Road in the wet, even though there is no sign saying Dry Weather Road only) worked out the co-ordinates and headed to GZ. Picked up another cache en route at some interesting ruins. Quick find at GZ as the day starts to warm up. TFTC!
Detoured on way to Adelaide and pick up some caches around this area. TFTCSorted coordinates out and made the few kms drive to make a quick find.
Not too sure if it was me or cache creep I found the cache approximately 12m away from my GZ, at least I found it Im absolutely stunned that its been 1041 days since last found, con people not Geocache out this way Logged stamped and all returned as foundTFTC
Today Bob from Elsewhere, FeatherWaite and I headed north from Adelaide to find some caches. We were mainly targeting multis, but also found a few puzzle caches and some Traditionals. We covered a fairly large area from Hamley Bridge, up to Clare, then back to Kapunda via Marrabel.
Most of the multis were short and quite straightforward and the puzzles had been solved in preparation beforehand.
The weather was nice and mild, which made for a great day for caching. Despite it being a public holiday, the roads weren’t too busy, there weren’t a lot of people about around most GZs, which made things a bit easier.
Thanks to all the cache owners for the caches.

Today I was invited by FeatherWaite and e.gregory to join them on a trip to the Barossa Valley.
Little did I know that the intended route would be via Stockport, Hamely Bridge up to Clare by the back roads, joining the highway at Watervale. Then back to Kapunda via Mintaro, Saddleworth and Marrabel.
The closest we got to the Barossa Valley was the Sturt Highway north of Nurioopta on the way home.
Thanks to Moses on the move for the cache.

Today I decided to go for a nice drive along the back country roads just cleaning up the caches along the way, todays travels I needed up from two wells to Owen, balaclava and back via port Wakefield, all in all 48 finds for the morning complete.

Out & about with Geo hubby Animal62 on this glorious Sunday collecting as many smiley faces as possible so after collecting the information needed we proceeded onward to find the cache.
After reading about all of the residents resting peacefully here we soon had the cache in hand, the log was signed then returned back to its hiding spot.

A rare day off for us during grain harvest. So we headed off to find a few caches. A lovely drive through rural areas surveying the crops, kangaroos and vistas.
Picked up the TB , hopefully we can get it moving soon.

After retrieving the relevant information from the school and contemplating classroom conditions during summer and winter months I departed to the final location where a quick find was made. The area seems home to a pair of large owls that gave me quite a start when they suddenly started flying around.
I have dropped a travel bug to continue it's journey.
Thank you Moses on the move for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

found with allister w. stamped log as mystery randoms to save space. Found after targeting the 2 nearby OTD series and then slowly made our way here to get mu multi count up. quick solve/find.
Found with Sir Spectre on a day out in the area with the 2 OTD series being our main goal. A good day out with approximately 80 finds and only a couple DNFs. TFTC
Intersting stop to stretch the legs, collected the info before heading to GZ for a straight forward find, love reading about the past

The town's divided but all end up together in the end?
Certainly a peacful spot and some history abounds.

Wasn't sure I had the right GC but when we go there it was apparent we did! Two kangaroos disturbed but at least they weren't in the same predicament as the other residents! Tftc!
Visited after the Pinery fire and all information needed is still available.
Worked this one out years ago, but from memory the gz was in the opposite direction.
Finally got back to Alma today and found the cache.

Out with Brisal5 getting a good start on our stats for the year..... Having found the APM series we were off to wind our way home and explore the area.

Thanks
Mogni and I decided to get the New Year off to a good start with a power trail. The APM series was the goal. But as usual we had to get there first! After spending far too long in Two Wells for 2 DNF's it was time to get caching. Got through the APM series and time for a few more caches before heading home.
Took the short cut from Tree Triangle. Glad it was dry. Stopped at the first WP and quickly worked out GZ. Damn back the way we came.....as usual. So we left Alma and headed through Alma and arrived at....Alma. No wonder people are dying to get here. Big place! Found the cache too. Thanks Moses on the Move.

Found on the way home from the 4WD show in Adelaide Quick find for Geodad as he has driven passed this so many time it has annoyed him so today is the day to get this one marked off the list. Geomum confused herself at first must be tired but finally worked out she had read the description wrong, Geomum worked out the Co ordinates and Geomum was spot on Geodad found this quick and easy.TFTC
Out with muggle partner for the day and all up I found 24 caches and had 3DNF's, 2 on the same cache
A great day to be out an about on dirt roads doing the locus cache thing! [^]
Saw lots of lizards, sheep, cows, goats, horses, a rabbit and lots of birds but luckily no snakes
Why not 3?
The distances that can now be travelled in a day, but which used to take weeks, have led to many church and school closures and left us with many historical sites for geocachers to be placed at or incorporated into multis

South Australia 2013 with Sol de Lune. We headed off on 12/4 and arrived home on 28/4. The trip was to visit the SA series so more time could be spent at the Mega itself next year. We did a huge variety of caching around Murray Bridge, the Mid North, Yorke Peninsula and Whyalla Region. Apart from one wet night and two wet days we were able to spend heaps of time caching.
Today is for the Its a small world and Premiers of SA series. Along with a few caches to get there and back to Gawler. Getting our multi count up has become a symbol of this trip, so we gave this one a go, and soon had our reward in hand.
Thanks.

Grabbed with Albida on our 2 week caching run from Canberra to, and around, different parts of South Australia including Loxton, Murray Bridge, Tailem Bend, Yorke Peninsula and around to Whyalla before heading home via Broken Hill, Cobar and Parkes. We completed a few power trails and left a couple to do when in the area again for next years Mega event.
Overall a great many different styles and types of caches found. A great time was had caching for 16 days straight as well as camping along the way.
Thanks for adding to the fun with this cache.

The cache container needs replacing, sorry I didn't have anything suitable with us. The container looks like it's been chewed by a mouse or something similar. Contents are a bit damp and the local wildlife has taken up residence!
Quickly found the required information and set off to GZ. Following the car navigator directions we set off down the dirt road, turned right and then left and followed a reasonable dirt road. Then the road turned into a track and finally into a farmers paddock Backtracking we discovered that we should have turned left then right... crazy navigator [:(!]
At GZ we made a beeline for the cache which was sharing it's hide with a large toadstool. Opening the container revealed a damp log book and a couple of resident spiders, one in the bag the log book was in. After signing the log we replaced the bag with a new one and put the container back in it's hide. Then we wandered around the cemetary for a while reading headstones. TFTC Moses on the move!

Found on my way home after spending a few days on Yorke Peninsula. Really enjoyed doing this multi. Wondered where GZ was going to be, but was very happy to discover another hidden historic spot. Thanks for the cache Moses on the move!
We headed up towards Owen for some Mothers Day caching, it had been far too long since our last cache so it was good to get back to a little caching in an area we tend to drive through but never appreciate.
hought we'd make this our last for the day. Interesting place, had to back track some of todays drive to find the cache, but thanks to olive we had it in hand quickly. TFTC

Collected the clues at WP1 and rechecked our calculations as gz was some distance away. With our new found geocaching friends and locals we worked out that gz was an appropriate location for the cache hide so made our way there, passing the town on the way.
Arriving at gz we could see something that matched the clue so thought we were onto a good thing. Mr S made the find. Was delighted to find a pathtag in the cache so swapped with one of ours.
Good to meet the locals and learn some local history.

We were continuing or tour with Alansee so we had three brains to help with the three R's. Reading Riting Rithmatic, we used it all to solve this great little multi that show cased some very interesting locations around and in Alma.
Found on a rewarding and enjoyable day out caching with Team Crackers. We did think that the town was a bit spread out! Thanks to Moses on the move for the cache.
Always wonder if we have stuffed up (again) a multi when it comes out so far away. No such problems today and were grateful when we spotted the sign there then found the cache.
I love this little place at the first way point. It was so peaceful and quiet, we had a little sheep playing around aswell, obvioussly excaped from a farm but she was happy and made our daughters day.
A great cache for number 2 today. Thankyou

Love these hidden bits of history. I could just imagine the kids playing in the school yard. The distance to our calculated GZ had us worried, so we checked and then checked again. In the end we were right and made the find with bit of stretching and a couple of scrapes on geoD's behalf.

Alma is not far from Owen. Are they just good friends, or there something more serious in their relationship?
Today I was going in the right direction to pick up the prize almost straight after solving the location of GZ. Thanks moses on the move for making GZ as interesting as WP1, I could have spent a lot longer lingering and reading in this location.
We took ourselves on a tour of the area and managed to find a cache. While reading the description properly, I now understand why there are two WPs and not three .
I had a sneaking suspicion about GZ and was proved correct [^].
Thanks again MOTM.

Stopped at the first point but the second point was in the wrong direction for travel.
Have replaced the container and needed to start a new log book as the whole container was full of water. Somehow the hiding spot became a mini reservoir after each rain.
L Plate driving day.
Got the clues for this more than a year ago (while it was disabled), so it's good to finally finish off this cache .
Took superball. Left dice. SL.
The log book was damp, so replaced its bag and put in an absorbent pillow.

Managed to botch the coords the first time and found myself looking at a paddock. Thankfully, it was a logical hiding place, and after driving up the rough roads, I had the spot and the cache after a short search. TFTC.
Found while up this way for the other two new caches that just came out. Interesting local history.
Log was saturated, I dried it out a little bit but it could do with a really good dry out as it is still damp.

Back in place with new cache container today. sorry about the inconvenience of being disabled.
Dropped by to check out the school house and collect some clues for WP2.
Came across a family of feral cats living here.
Maybe this was being considered as a 'Monarto of the North' all those years ago [?].
Will have to return (to the distant WP2) when it's up and running again .

uhm well - have to own up - we didn't find it. Enjoyed WP1 - the power of one in days gone by - heading up the church, the school and local government too! Must have been optimistic -the planners certainly allowed for urban sprawl.
Feel pretty confident that we found WP2 - it all fitted, including the hint. Many options, we poked and prodded and stuck in fingers as never before! but in all the possible hiding spots ......we found zilch.
It is probaly still there, but we will wait for another day
