No luck here today. May have been searching too high along the bank. Found a few wombat holes. Could be gone but only CO will know for sure.
As were unable to get down to this one before the creek come down, I would think not. Will replace when water recedes enough.
After coming out this way for work I thought I would find a few caches nearby. I parked next to the bridge and started along the water bank. Then I entered a forest of farmers friends. I hate these weeds, I really do. The forest was so thick and high I was completely covered in the sticky little seed sticks. Finally I got to GZ and searched. I expected it to be higher as the hint suggested, but it was under a bush on the low side of the dirt mound, closer to the car then where the coordinates said. The log and contents were soaked through and so needed a good clean out, unfortunately I did not bring anything with me, and I did not want to venture through the Farmers friends forest three more times, once more was more the enough. So I scratched in my name and went back to the car, where I started picking off the million farmers friends.
Thanks for the unexpectedly higher terrain, walk, water views and cache!

We parked the car just short of the sand, and then walked across, following the river towards the cache. It was hot so we walked slowly and carefully. Once at GZ we searched for quite some while before we eventually found the hide, almost out in the open.
The contents were soaked, and it was hardly possible to write in the log.

A tricky find as the gps had me at GZ just inside the paddock. Almost tripped over the cache though somewhat closeby after expanding my initial search. Strongly recommend people walk another ten metres or so northwest to the corner post of the fence line and look at the wombat hole. Cache contents saturated. TNLN TFTC
Found unsure if correct location. Maybe the wombat moved it. Left as was found. Log very wet
After spending 15minutes between two of us searching, we gave up.
We did find a wombat down a hole. I wonder if he found the cache?

We are staying at the camp ground in Broke for a few days, so we did a quick circuit of geocaching today. this one was Sitxh on our list.

A Guy and a Girl - Six Day Road Trip - 2,280 kilometers - 30 Caches - CMC Rocks The Hunter
This trip had been in the wings once we found out that Toby Keith was playing at CMC Rocks The Hunter at Hope Estate near Cessnock, tickets and camping spot booked months in advance. We traveled up on Wednesday morning leaving Melbourne to Corowa, Walbundrie and Culcairn before stopping at Goulburn for the night. Thursday we went via Putty Rd from Windsor up to Cessnock. Three days we spent listening to some fantastic country music. Monday morning we packed up the camp site and headed down the Hume back to Melbourne.
We made our way to GZ winding along the bank and trees and long grass. Trent spotted something of interest and checked it out closer, finding the well hidden cache.
Thanks for the cache lilla07!!!

Hottest day today, enjoyed drive to singleton via stop some caches at bulga, long searched everywhere as unlucky for us , DNF....
Found the history of the bridge very interesting as bridge construction is my job.
Second trip to find this one. Finally found after GPS went flat. So obvious could have kicked myself
We found this one straight after Whynot Wambo after realising we drove straight past it.
Verity went by herself while Equity had to stay back with the Geokids; we forgot their shoes.

Thanks Acko

Spent a while looking found spot I think it may have been under wood hole empty muggled?
Looked around for ages but were soon put off by the many ants running around and the smell of wombats. Came back with a different GPS that sent us in a different spot but we still couldn't find it. We might watch this one.
This cache had us stumped GPS lead us to a possible location but the smell put us off. Didn't find with Allturners.
Quick and easy find!!
Had some spare time so I slammed a few quick caches!!

found this one while on a Geo-Trek Caching holiday with TeamBooo, Booo's Dad and Booo Booo to Queensland
On a caching holiday with Teambooo (Geo-wife), Booo Booo (Geo-Daughter) and Glenwarra (Geo-in-Law). A terrific break in the drive north to Queensland. With several places to search and a deadline to keep this one was nearly a DNF but with on last quick search the cache was found and we returned to the car to continue north
Tricky find, area is a bit over grown. I gave up and walked half way back to the car only to slap myself in the face and return to the hunt, another 15 minutes and the cache was in hand ye ha. TFTC.
Took a bit of looking in the dark and found it just as I was thinking of giving up. Really enjoyed the walk to and from GZ.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Reperio at 1120. Wasn't sure whether I was parked in the right spot or not, but it seemed likely so off I headed. Could see where others have tread, so followed the faint geotrail to GZ. Searched a few godet holes until the cache was eventually found. Enjoyed the walk.

We parked the car and were not sure what we were in for with this one, but the walk to GZ was easy. We didn't know what we were looking for and the GPS had us searching a few meters away from the hide but we got there in the end. An enjoyable stop on the days tour of the upper hunter. TFTC lilla07.[871]
I didn't have any joy with the one. Too many plants that hurt in the over grown area. I'm sure the cache was there somewhere I just didn't enjoy GZ enough to stick around.
Our 4693rd overall find.
A nice wander out along the sand to here today. It took a while scratching around to find the cache but I got there in the end. This is a nice location.

This one took way longer than it needed too! The area is so over grown and the GPS lead us around in circles! We found it in the end! TFTC
This one hasn't seen daylight for some time so locating this one was quite enlightening to know it is still there and in very good condition...Nice walk in and muggle free...water is very low but still has a bit of bird life on it..SL TNLN TFTC

You would hope that the water never gets this high, because it would do major damage. The retrieval of the cache wasn't as hair raising as it initially seemed.TFTC
I had a nice walk along the beach and a quick search for the cache[^]
Then had a relax at the top of the bank and watched something swimming in the water. Not sure if it was a very large fish or a platypus!
Cheers, TFTC.

Found after a short stroll along the beach. Thanks. That sand is very soft and makes you work for your caches.
A quick run down the road from a local commitment. Spent way too long looking for this before finding it in the most logical place!

12:19 - Number 27 of 51 found today on a ruffasgutts4x4 Hunter Discovery Tour. When we got to the sand there was a little chat about should we or shouldn't we. Any way off we set to get the hundred odd metres closer to the Cache. It’s a pretty good hide this one and it was an enjoyable hunt, but we eventually unearthed the Cache. Yep the troops had to walk back as you know how important it is to keep momentum on the 4x4 in the sand once you get one moving. At least the skipper had the decency to park in the shade so by the time we legged it across the sand back to the Geomobile it was cool and he was nicely rested ready for some more driving. Nice spot thanks for showing it to us

We were the 4X4 today as we drove within 60 metres of GZ, unfortunately it was a little harder to get out again as there was little turning area and once i'd turned around I was afraid of stopping having not let the tires down on the Disco.
The caching passengers were forced to leg it the remaing 190 metres to the car- Sorry guys it was not worth letting the tires down for that short run, the cache was located and the logs done, Great spot one of my personal favourites in our 51 cache haul. TNLN TFTC

After getting across the bridge (it was down to one lane as they were re-painting it) I parked to the side of the road and headed off to GZ trying not to attract the attention of the workers on the bridge.
Once I arrived at GZ (the calves sure got a workout on the sand) I made a quick find in the second place I looked.

Well it certainly pays to read previous logs for this one. After venturing to GZ by torchlight and a good 45min search, we retreated back to the geomobile with out heads down, but after a quick read of the ALL the information (as one Smelly said to the other) we quickly retraced our steps back to GZ for a find with 5min.
walked in eating a well earned breakfast and walked out covered in sticky beaks. very tricky hide as there were so many holes to look in in various sizes no travellers were present however. tftc

This one took me two trips through the crows feet for a hint as I had left the Palm back in the car, along with my phone so I could not just phone the family in the car. Quite a track of footprints leading down the river now LOL.
Took a while but did not give up.
Cheers

Not too bad on a rainy night. The insects were still biting and yes the cache was definitely there. Found with JAB's and Code1 on our Easter caching weekend.
Have been looking everywhere but all in vain... guess we were too busy with stinging and biting insects...Is it still there???
Talk about a beach in the middle of nowhere...
This seemed a bit daunting walking across the beach / desert on a hot day... But we got through and Mrs Madstars found the cache...
I was too busy looking for snakes.. Fortunately I found none...
Thanks lilla07 for providing the family with a great day of caching..
We had heaps of fun...

Tftc, had to remove a dead rat, from the GZ. I dont think he could remove the cache, so he stayed there.

Sadly not the best one to find on a dark rainy night. Will try again with better light.
Call me pessimistic, but the creek was above the level of the cache this morning so it may be in deep trouble...
Dropped in for a cache check and TB drop. All good. Be aware that there are a couple of stickey beaks around but there is a track through. It resembles a bit of a maze. All good:)
6th find of the day, all by lilla07. thanks lilla07. We got covered in those weed things that stick on your clothes.
The creek has subsided enough after the recent 5 or so inches of rain. The cache is good to go
Unfortunately, due to recent rain, there has been a flood warning issued for the creek this morning. Have removed for a day or so as a precaution. Will replace when water level receeds a bit.
Took a stroll down the river munching on an iceblock. Found easier than removing the "Hitch Hikers". Water level was up a bit but was no problem.

Since we were in the area for tuff truck it was only natural that we drove to within 50-60m of GZ, then we battled the hitch hikers that seem to out in force at the moment.
Found the cache tucked away, made our swaps before heading to the next one. Thanks.

I drove through here recently on my way north & the river was in flood. Back to normal today. Walked down from the bridge & picked up a few new friends but sadly wont be relocating them to the south coast. A good hide. My final one for the day - dark clouds ahead. The others in the area will have to wait. Thank you.
The reason for the name escaped me until after the find when I called in at the establishment of the same name over the bridge. Drove to within 50 metres of GZ. Quick find, grabbed the TBs and left a TB. Thanks lilla07
I enjoyed visiting this picturesque river side on our way home to Cairns. Left 2x TB and picked up a TB and GC to move on.
We found it, we found it, another for the day. Yipee! we took Pirate Map TB and braclet. Dropped Diabetes

22:14. Last find of the day (err, night). Glad to have a third First to Find, to comfort me from missing one the other day. Being very wary of spiderwebs in area I walked into GZ area and quickly had the cache, interesting hide. Left the Zipper TB and took the geocoin. Thanks for the new caches Lilla07.
