Here today with a newish cacher...looked for half an hour....no joy...
I found it 6 years ago.
Maybe needs a check?
Not sure if this CO is still active...

Enjoyed walking along the trail here. Once at GZ, focused on finding the hint item which was quickly spotted, and the cache soon found hidden low down at the base. TFTC
Was out "Smilie"ing up the area and this one was next in the queue. Not a very nice reserve until you get "Under the Pines" then it is superb. TFTC
On my way to visit my grandmother nearby, but still had some time. Saw this cache on the map, and made a small detour to come and find it.
Found cache easily once I narrowed down the possible hint location.

Out for a quick bit of evening caching and this was my second stop. It was a quick find once I decided that this matched the hint. I wasn't quite certain at first, but after looking around and not finding a better candidate I decided to have a look which proved fruitful! TFTC! #1079
Out for a quick grab today and this was the one chosen. Dropped off "Melissa" to continue her Journey. TFTC
Out with Hughie on this hot auckland evening. I needed a cache or 3 to keep the daily streak going. Nice little park for some cricket or baseball!
It took a while to find this cache. Coords were jumping. And while searching I lost my pen. Then I searched that for 10 minutes!
Thanks and greetings from Latvia!

Found this one straight away. However the whole time I was nervous about a mean looking dog that had been barking at me from a neighbour's house without a fence.
2nd attempt at this one and found it straight away. I definitely looked at this spot the last time as it fitted the hint but with no joy. So maybe it has been moved around a bit. But found where the hint lead me. TFTC
Scotty & Kiwi out west chasing down some caches for our daily streak. Took us longer than it should have but got there in the end. TFTC

A good find for my numbers... Cache was in the place as per the clue... Had water inside so I dried it off as much as I could... Log signed, although it was soggy... Nice secluded spot so not needed to sneak around...

went back today with geodog and Grandson, nice quick find this time albeit a strange hide but a smiley all the same. The rain had set in which meant lots of puddles to jump in, oh to be 4 again, people don't think you are crazy. tftc
Not sure if i would have found this one, had Berty B nearly stood on it as we zoned in on area. Hint null and void but cache still in good order. tftc
A quick find, which was more by good luck than good management...the co-ords were good, but the hint lead us astray completely. Tftc
Tftc quick find

Finally found it on my second visit! Ha to phone a friend my gps was about 7 metres out!
I was expecting this one to take me awhile after reading previous logs, but my GPS took me straight to it and I found it the first place I looked. The hint doesn't really make sense for this one
Had a read of the logs, not sure what to expect at GZ, but did find the two large trees that had fallen over. Fortunately the cache container is the size it is, otherwise hide could have given me a real headache. Luck was on my side, and after a short search the cache was found. Thanks for the hide, log slightly damp.
The hint was nothing short of frustrating as noted by others. Spent more time than usual looking for this one. We were literally giving up when one of our party moved something. Lo and behold. Not what we had been looking for but discovered all the same.
Finally found this one - no stump in sight, just dogged determination got us there.
Inside the log was damp, dried it out as much as possible. Original log now paper mache stuck on the car. New log, damp but ok. Tried to dry it out as much as possible before returning it to hiding spot.
Thanks for the cache.

Unfortunately I was stumped so had to leave empty handed! Off to the next one but I will return
Looked in the wrong spot . But found it in the end . Well hidden

GPS not that great under the trees. Difficult to know which stump as its nearly non existant. Got it in the end though.
I had some difficulty finding this one, too. I wasn't quite sure which one was being referred to in the hint, but once I found the cache, it was more apparent. Maybe it has become less obvious over the years. XNSL. TFTC.
Well, this cache annoyed me that I didn't get it last time I looked, I went back in the daytime today, this time I found it, I have to say the clue was somewhat misleading, 2 large trees fallen over or 'stumps' yet the cache was nowhere near them, I sort of found it by accident really.
The clues were OK but try as I may I couldn't find it, I did this one at night but if anyone else finds it after me then I'll go back in the day time to have another go.
Took a little while but got there in the end. Tftf. Gimpy and the doctor. ..
Our pen broke when we found this cache however we still managed to sign the log book with some kiwi ingenuity.
A quick find to Kaisho53.
This is Day 2 of our trip to the Land of the Long White Cloud for the 2013 NZ MEGA event in Auckland. I joined Gunnie69 and Kaisho53 for a fun packed 5 days of geocaching adventures.

The SatNav wanted to bring us in from a different direction and being visitors to this fair land, we trusted it and headed off down a path that would never get us to GZ without getting wet and dirty... Hmm...
A quick look at the map, an alternate plan was deduced and we made our way to the next street for a much easier route to the cache... [^] In location and with the hunt in full swing, Kaisho53 located the goods while Ghostgums and I were searching elsewhere. Names added to the log, the container was tucked away and we headed to the next.
Cheers PhantasmNZ.

Another awesome little spot I never knew existed. Cache a little damp but temp log still dry and able to be signed.
Found- all soaked, emptied out water from container, but log book needs replacing (didn't bring anything sorry).

This was my sons (7) first find, he is over the moon. He found it under his feet.
Was scratching around for ages yesterday with no luck .....determined this time ....Found it really quickly ! Had to look down , and not so much at my compass going haywire under the Pines !!!!!!!!!!
Spent ages under the pines to no avail .....shame .... All I found was a dead rat and a Durex wrapper for my trouble ....
Will be back , maybe when someone else has found it !

Managed to sneak away during daughter's soccer match at McLeod Park nearby. Nicely hidden. TFTC.
A Nice strol though the park, and "Under The Pines" GPS was messing with us, but turned the cachesense on and voila, Geocache... TFTC.
The clue came in handy as the GPS wasn't playing nicely with the tree cover. Nice little spot for a cache
Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.
Spent the afternoon caching with ClanMcPherson. Quick easy find, TFTC.
Dropped off Pooh bear TB.

The only one in the Whau series we managed to find on a rather unsuccessful trip out with Phasevisitor. Nice quick find on this one though. TFTC.
2nd visit (this time without my whinging toddler) and found it easy. Thanks!
Cool spot for a cache. Enjoyed the walk along the mangroves to GZ for a quick find. TFTC!
In the are visiting friends for Christmas. While waiting for hangi I brought the 2 kids with me, to get them out of there parents hair. They enjoyed hoding the GPSr and telling me which way to go. TFTC
This was part of my first serious mission into the realm of the T.A.P.C.C., and a day of finding six anomalies, the most I have found in a single day to date. On this day I also found...

GC28K0T
GC2QQFN
GC20G7T
GC2BCQ5
GC28P61
This was our first find of the day, and Lady Winsome disembarked the airship to search with me. We had moored the Airship Halberg quite some way from where the anomaly was reported to be, and Lady Winsome was somewhat outspoken about "the distance that a lady of her standing should be expected to perambulate". When we arrived in the shade of the pine trees, she refused to go further, and I was left to search alone for the anomaly. As you can see from my track log, I spent quite some time seeking out this temporal anomaly. Eventually I realized that I had walked past it several times without noticing. These rifts in space-time can be hard to detect sometimes.

Found this one no problem. But like the previous posts the cache was full of water and you couldn't write in the log book. TFTC! TNLN.
The cache was completely waterlogged. I emptied the container of the water but was unable to dry to logbook.
I suggest you check the container (although it did look undamaged) and replace the logbook.

Found after a brief search. The cache was completely waterlogged and I was therefore unable to sign the logbook.
I emptied the container of the water but was unable to dry to log. Took the "THEJAYBEES BALL" TB to confirm my find.

A nice quiet location. The walk was a bit damp though! thanks for getting me out on a wet afternoon.
My brother had looked for this one before wihtout success. With the two of us today we quickly had the cache in hand. Thanks heaps
One night out caching in South Te Atatu. Got the itch to cache this evening and was not going to be stopped by the impending dark! Made my way across the grass feild with the aid of torch light. Got the impression that I was missing out on some nice views due to the lack of daylight. Soon found a likely GZ. But it took me three looks to actually spot the cache in this context. Cheers for the hide!
17:40 I spent a little time searching in the undergrowth at GZ...however I 'stumbled' across the cache almost by accident. I signed the log and off I shot (home for dinner!!) TFTC

Out with dedicaching after a game of tennis. Nice views from here. When we first got here, I think my GPSr took us to the opposite side of the park We stopped right in front of one of my families residence near that park. We looked at each other and knew it cant be right since there is no way one can access the park area from that angle. We decided to drive though to another street and saw the entrance of the park after which the cache was not too diffcult to locate.

Once snakelion found the correct enterance, getting to the cache was easy. Loved the views.

Out for a stroll and swung by for a nice walk to the cache. Only a angry dog in the area seemed to be bothered by my presence, all quiet otherwise. Left the torch as I only just far enough down the page to see it was up for grabs. Whoops! Nicely hidden and thanks for the short walk. Cheers!
