Not sure what's happened to 'regular maintenance' here but perhaps it's about time this one was archived! Given this one was last found **13/08/2014** and has four consecutive DNF's by knowledgeable seekers, plus two Needs Maintenance logs over a period of 14 months!
An interesting tale related to the cache, just a shame I never found the cache. This one really does need checking by the owner.
Better check this out - lots of grass growing covering the area where it looks like the cache would be hidden, but no cache.
Interesting story about Harry btw.

Had a good look around for this cache, but no luck today. The clover is very long here so there is a possibility that I could not see it.

After Sorceysal and I finished the fish series in 2 1/2 days, we decided to head to Maitland and beyond to grab a few more caches in a more relaxed day, without the haste. Tess the geodog also enjoyed the heaps of walks today, and the great variety of hides.
This was too tough for us despite checking the details twice, thanks anyway healthy leg

After a very successful day yesterday on the Fish Trail, we decided that today we would drive a loop from Warooka to Minlaton, Port Vincent, Edithburgh, Yorketown and back to Warooka to see what the area has to offer, to look for some caches we didn't have on our initial lists and to plan a return to cache the area more extensively. This was one of the extra caches we tackled on our tour. After quickly collecting the data, it was a short walk to GZ where a quick find was made. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks for the cache healthy_leg.

Touring Australia having left Perth in late February we are leisurely touring South Australia after having attended Oz Mega.
Today we had to move house (caravan) from Coobowie to Minlanton so only attempted some multi's near Coobowie before we headed off.
With very mixed results we hit the road Jack! On arrival at Minlanton we dumped the vans and headed for Point Turton. Having seen some of the 50th birthday clan earlier in the week we were disappointed to have been too early for these caches but a return trip saw us knock these over today at high tide.
So much history in this town and in this cache. Thanks for sharing.

Day 4 of our epic expedition within SA. specimenX and myself had found the FT trail last night and solved all the puzzles in preparation for today. We set off nice and early (starting at 7:30am) and we didn't return home (place of current residence) until 11:30pm. It was a very long day however very enjoyable. We picked up a couple of caches on route to the powertrail and commenced the trail at 10:05am and we completed the last cache at 15:29pm of the powertrail. Including breaks for lunch and rest breaks, it works out to be about a cache every 2 minutes. Can't complain about that
We had heaps of fun today on the trail, I was the designated driver and specimenX was the hyped up runner. Once again, VERY strong coffee came into play this morning. specimenX was soo hyped up, at one stage her feet were in the air and her head in the ground.... ummm what the??? [:o)] On a number of occasions, specimenX would go so fast, her feet were left behind and she would almost face plant the caches.... excited much?
specimenX had a run in with a pollen tree, that decided it didn't like her, and it "poofed" all over her.... it just exploded, literally.... and she was covered from head to toe in pollen. OMG we lost it, I couldn't breath and specimenX couldn't control herself with laughter. Absolutely great day all round.
On our way to the PT, we passed through Minlaton, and OMG we were salivating over the caches there, so OFC we made our way there after the PT to do a clean up. We decided that 200 was our target today, this would be both of our largest caching days. We cleaned up Minlaton with all but 2 DNF's and one we didn't attempt as it was outside the CO's house (not trotting through gardens or shining torches at 9pm at night, don't feel comfortable doing that). We the headed back towards Port Wakefield to wind up our day of caching. The cache "Ruined" was a deal breaker for both myself and specimenX however, specimenX had a trip on some rusty wire and it could have been very nasty however walked away physically unhurt. I then opened the cache to find my biggest fear inside which was a trackable and I almost ran home to Canberra. The fear it put in me turned me very pale and made me feel very sick. Why do people make those 8 legged freaks into trackables or place fake ones in caches??? It drives me insane [:(!]
At the end of the night, we had some much earned dinner at the Port Wakefield truck stop and made our way home. We can now successfully conclude we completed 203 caches !!!! (and 2 DNF's )
Thanks to Fishy Tales for the awesome powertrail and thanks to all the other CO's for the caches we collected today [^][^][^] Now its time for some much earned sleep as we both have to be up nice and early to make our travels over to Murray Bridge for the Oz Mega 2014 [^]

Found on a 2 day caching run with geowife, we managed around 245 caches and the weather was almost perfect except for a few showers here and there, must return one day to get the ones we missed, very beautiful on the peninsula and look forward to returning.
Found on day 2 as we slowly, very slowly make our way home, a nice quick multi to do while we are here.

after some math and a walk the cache was in hand thankyou for bringing us here tftcsl.
With the promise of fantastic spring weather and a long weekend allowing for an extended caching trip, locus cache, clare007 and I made our way to the central region of the Yorke Peninsula with the aim of cleaning out as many caches as we could. Cache container was broken so we supplied a new one of similar size. TFTC healthy leg!
What a fantastic couple of days! [^]
Sunday and Monday I enjoyed the company of RideTheGeoWalrus and Clare007 as we cached in an area that I have not cached in before.....therefore I enjoyed what is now a rare concept for me......not having to dodge previously found caches in order to find a cache to locus cache on
We found dust, mud, caches, views, trees and lots of laughs as we drove around and exhausted ourselves doing 115 smileys with 9 DNFs (although we went back later and got finds on several of these DNFs) and one event attended...with only us three there It's always good to CITO!
With CO's permissions, we also did quite a bit of cache maintenance as many logs were full or wet or both and several containers were broken or missing.
If any CO whose cache we visited really wants their old log back, then email me and I will try and work out which old log it is and return it to you.
A quick little multi again celebrating a brave man.
We made a quick find, too, however the container was broken and contents sodden.
Cache is now a roughly 1L fruit container.

A fun multi. The lid is cracked so it may start getting damp inside. Unfortunately we didn't have a suitable container on board to replace it.
We found this cache as part of our family YP camping trip. Over the 12 days we saw some fantastic scenes and did a heap of cool stuff. This really is a beautiful slice of our country. To top off an already wonderful trip, we also found 145 caches, 6 trackables, 1 pathtag and attended 1 event.

I solved this some months ago on the Internet and had virtually forgotten about it until we got here this weekend. I couldn’t remember if I had put the revised co-ords into the machine or not, especially since we arrived and expected to see a plaque. (it was there, but we didn’t notice it until after we found the cache )
While wondering around the bush, I glanced down and saw the cache container staring back at me . Whatever works, I guess .
Great bit of history. Thanks for highlighting it for us. I took nothing from the cache, but put in a little rubber Jumbo jet with an RAAF roundel on it. It seemed sort-of appropriate, although I’m not sure why a jumbo would have RAAF markings. It IS made in China, so that may explain it [^].

We had visited the Red Devil and read about this terrible accident. As with many early aviators Harry appeared to be a truly amazing man and again like so many of these pioneers their lives were tragically cut short doing what they love, albeit in Harry's case quite awhile after. We liked the different way of projecting gz and a lot simpler than a lot of math's and re-entering of co-ordinates.
