What a beautiful spot. Unfortunately we were unable to find this cache today. Considering it hasn't been found since 2014 with the weather Newcastle has had it really isn't likely the cache is still there.
Could the CO please replace this cache? It hasn't been found since 2014 and has had several dnfs.
Awesome hide. Left a fortune from a fortune cookie. Found on holidays with kimmykitkat.
TFTC.. No trackables sat and watched the whale super highway catching a few on their journey north
Found by my trip around the world. Now i'm eventual in Australia, my favorite continent and country.
When i stayed in Nelson Bay, one day was reserved for caching, this was number 1 on my short list.
After that my way is up to the north of new south wales. Next stop Taree
no trade
thanks for the cache
Greetz Sandman633
P.S. Unser Leihmaskottchen, Travelbug Rascal the little racoon, war natürlich wieder mit auf der Tour, auch wenn es noch kein Ziel von der Aufgabenliste zu erreichen gibt.

Took a bit of searching, was almost ready to give up and then "Doh, there it is" TFTC!
Had a general look but being a 14m radius made it too tricky. Did see two pods of whales though so not disappointed.
found with new caching converts who were quite distracted by the passing whales left tb.
thanks for bring me here madstars

Yay! Found it with team Be3dexod. It was our last cache for today as it was time to start driving back home. We were looking around GZ for 15 minutes before decided to look through other log descriptions. Once we knew GZ coordinates are 15m out, it was easily spotted.
What to do - from GZ turn around and walk back to the path (15 steps).
According to our Garmin coordinates are
S 32 47.492
E 152 06. 812
Thank you, MADSTARS.

I ignored Madstars' suggested start so deserved the problems we had getting to the parking area. From there it was a pleasant stroll towards GZ, where I spent some time examining every possible site without success. A peek at past logs took me elsewhere and an easy find, with the GPS on 15m. Thanks for a good hide, a favourite of ours despite the coords being long.
Beautiful location. Took a moment to find the cache, but after reading the other comments, it was quickly in hand. TFTC!
Went out visiting this area with friends who are showing us around Australia. (we are from Qatar) well after some searching I wanted to give up, because when the hint said under a rock I got depressed. Thanks to the previous logs which I first read and then looked further away from GZ, and walha, I found it, signed the log and then followed the path back.
The coordinates are about 14m out, same as previous log sugessted,

Lovely day, Great enjoyed around of Port Stephens caches, searched searched for age, give up turn back, saw something funny cover, open from cover YAY found the cache there as co-ords is wrong was 15m before GZ, checked all cache very well and dry, it's life....... thanks
Sending out a Help Log for a local Geocacher to check this Cache out.
It has been in this place for a such a long time it would be a shame for it to disappear.
If anyone in location could perform some maintenance it would be greatly appreciated.
If not I will have to archive.
Thanks in advance.

On a day out to the beach we set out to grab this one only to find that it wasn't there. A fellow cacher who had previously found it confirmed that it is not where it is supposed to be. Maybe needs checking out.
Yep we reckon it is about 15 metres from gz too. Using a Samsung galaxy s3 and a Garmin forerunner 305.
45 mins of searching found gz, by my gps its 15 metes away from supposed gz.. I will watch others post to see if this is a problem:) tftc guys
In Port Stephens again this week to pick up a few caches.
Number four today. A nice spot and quick find. Took creme sachets, left 1943 halpenny. Thanks madstars

A great location. GPS batteries died when I was 15 meters from cache. Luckily, it was found pretty easily. TFTC.
TaurusSix and I really enjoyed the walk to this one. Fantastic view. The sharp rocks made it difficult to bend down to look under rocks but I managed enough times to see the cache. Left a TB.
Sat and enjoyed the wind in my face and the smell of the sea. I have been to this spot before I started caching and sat and enjoyed the wind in my face and the smell of the sea. A bit of spray this evening, Thanks.
Such a beautiful view and the beach nearby is a top place especially for little kids. We stopped at the prayer cairn on the way, it's amazing to see how much it has grown over the past few years.
Drunken Teenage Louts.... What can you do.... I suppose for starters pick up all there broken glass....
Thanks madstars this is a great cache. The only shame is that there is quite a bit of broken glass around. And when I saw the cache I then had a puzzle of how to reach it! I restored it to the same quality of camo!
I would also encourage anyone visiting to continue on as we did down to the waters edge. This was great, the entire Stokoe family wife, 4yo and 10month old (in a sling) made the journey. Needs a bit of care but well worthwhile. On that basis this is worth a favorite. Just a shame about the broken glass!

Magnificent location & a little unexpected. Reminded me of the Brittany coast. Thanks MADSTARS.
Reperio at 1205.
Wanted to visit this cache last time I was in the area, but ran out of time half expecting it might take a while to find. Today, even though it was slightly drizzling, I had the time, so I was heading out no matter what. The walk to GZ was fantastic, with dark clouds rolling in over the sea, and thankfully the rain didn't get heavier. Once at GZ, the cache was located after a short search, and stood in the rain for a few minutes to admire the location and view before leaving.

Yes a nice walk & sea spray at GZ, had lunch here before returning home, thanks, TFTC / TFTH / SL
Had to come back a 2nd time to find this one after appalling weather scuttling our quest the first time, but was worth the wonder.
Nice spot, awesome weather and no muggles to be seen. Took me a while to find.... Left toy car. TFTC
Nice spot to sit and watch the sea do it's thing with some good spray happening around the place too. A few fishermen further down the rocks too, but far enough away not to be a bother to me.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Found it quickly but then some muggles turned up so returning it took some time great views
Wow! A beautiful walk and cache spotted quickly by both geosons! The power of the ocean is amazing isn't it? There was certainly a lot of spray too! Thanks so much for bringing us here! TFTC
Found as the sun was setting. A beautiful spot for a cache. TFTC from 2 Kiwis.
I ventured down far enough to cop some spray in my face. Out thanx again to the MADSTARS for making me get out and about 2 years after my last foray down around this area. Brilliant. Suck in that air. Clear skies.
Cache number 34 for a Marathon cache hunt over the Easter weekend. A busy weekend of Madstars, great views, smelly spots, lovely beaches, high mugggle challenges, bush bashing, rock hopping, wet feet, meeting other cachers. Thanks to all the owners of the Geocachers in this area, you certainly made a great weekend away for the dkmacca team.
Cheers

Found this on a hot Good Friday. Plenty of fishermen and walkers around, but none near GZ. Took no time to find the cache, but we got lost on the way back to the car! TFTC
Great spot. Can't believe we've been coming to Nelson Bay and Birubi for years and haven't been here. Rough seas and lots of frogs.
Introduced Wife Bay Pirate to Geocaching. She brought along a bunch of goodies to swap. She's so hooked, mentioned that I had to make sure she came next time.

found with semikosher in gale force 40knot winds, only a little spray today due to slightly offshore winds.

No sea spray today surprisingly as it's wet and windy. Beautiful views. We managed to dodge muggles to quickly sign the log and replace the cache unobserved. TFTC
Had the joy of having Geofamily up for a holiday in Port Stephens. This was the last cache we found while up here on hols. We enjoyed lunching in the park, then traversing the nice small beach and then following a little track up to the headland. Found really easily because the GPSr lead me straight to the correct place. Unfortunately for us there was no sea spray meant for us today. But on the right day I can imagine having a nice sprinkling of water on us. Thanks for bringing us here to see some great sights.

What a great way to end a bugger of a day. Finished work at Anna Bay and though I need to do something enjoyable and rembered this on had not been found yet so off I go.
Great location and some big waves made the area more exciting.
Easy find and off home a little happier.

After not reading the description properly and going to the wrong carpark, we had to do a bit more rock-hopping on our way in than was necessary.
Have I ever mentioned before that I hate hides in rocks??!! Rocks, rocks and more rocks!
There's an interesting cairn close by. Read the plaque and add your own rock.
Cache was eventually found by BikiGanoo........I must have been having a boy-look!

What a fantastic spot. Excellent bare rock slope down to the surf with lots of potential for rock hopping. Thanks for sharing this place MADSTARS.
Very apt name for this cache! We thought it was raining as we were quite a way from the water's edge but it turned out to be sea spray!

I seem to have parked at the wrong end of the beach for this one. but who cares! I got a top walk along this great little family beach with folks scuba diving, snorkeling and swimming with the small waves gently lapping the sand. After wandering up to the GZ I scratched my head for a bit but spotted the cache quite quickly. I took my time sorting through the cache because it was such a great place. I took a traveller with me and left a path tag. on the way out I passed fishermen, mountain bikers and sight seeers. Wow, all the recreational types visit this place!... after all this peace and scerenity I left Anna bay for the Grooving the moo concert in Maitland. (time for NOISE)

Took our time walking to GZ, the wind was blowing hard but the ridge offered protected us until we got close to GZ. Tokk a few minutes to find the right spot but the hide popped out once we got close. TNLNSL TFTC MADSTARS. [553]
Found at 12.35pm GAFF1. One of the reasons for this trip to Port Stephens was to return here to do this cache which we had to by pass a couple of years ago due to lack of time. Today even though we were running late for the Pie event we were determined to find it. So a quick run down to the rocks, passing a group of 4 muggles getting "sea sprayed" while fishing off the rock platform and the cache was found after a short search - the co-ords being very good again. Love these sort of caches where there is a great view and a bit of a challenge.
Thanks MADSTARS.

Great spot with good coastal views.
Spear fishing down one side rock fishing down the other both catching fish.
We added some more rocks to the nearby memorial.

#21/25 after taking so long with Berocca Bomber 3, Geohubby stayed in the car eating cherries. This one was so easy especially with the co-ordinates of the car park. Simply a walk along the grassy track and out on the headland. Nothing to it. This was one of my favourites for the wekend. I just sat and admired the view. Great cache, a must to do.
Called in here with TheWobblys on our way up the bay for Australia Day.
The thermometer was climbing rather quickly by the time we walked out to the cache.
A quick find and time to move on very quickly with the kids and wifes whinging that they wanted to get to the beach at shoal bay.
This is a great spot. We didn't get down to the harbour to take some photos so we will have to come back here.
Thanks MADSTARS.

Temperature was rising on the way out to this cache.
So it was a quick find and log so we could get the family up to shoal bay for a swim.

Geogirlfriend found this one. Amazing spot, with the wind and the waves and the endless rocks. Would've loved to be able to climb around more, but thongs aren't exactly good for that... TNLNSL. TFTC!
Yep great spot nice walk out to GZ. I thought there would be more tourists out at this point, not so there was only two and that was the two Tamykian's. The day was heating up very quickly so even though it is a great spot to take it all in we were after some shade...SL and moved on..

This was a great cache! A walk with geoson up from Boat Harbour beach; followed a track up the headland and a 15 min search later we found it! A good hide, and we were 5m out to start with, which ensured a lot of rock shifting! TNLNSL.
TFTC Madstars! hoping to do a few more of yours up here on our break!
