H'mm, this is a strange one.
I found and signed this one today as an easy driveby find.
In fact I could have reached out of the window to do it.
Then I found that it has been archived is not still active!
It looked very healthy to me.

It was only last month when I rode by bike to the Lock, the cache was where it was supost to be.
I will check again in a few weeks when the weather cools down

Sadly one of my favourite caches has bitten the dust literally. The hiding place has been knocked over and the cache is no more.
Some serious works has occured here recently.
GZ has me on compacted gravel. And the nearby possible hides are a good 8-10m away.
Maybe it just me, but there doesnt appear to be anything at gz that can hide a cache like previous logs say!

Literally a drive-by, although I did step out the door today .
How many people would have driven past here with no idea what's hidden within [?].
All quiet here. Took peg. Left hairclip. SL.
Thanks Crane2.

An easy find after checking out the lock below. Pity no boats came through. The kids would have liked to have seen that.

Found this clever hide with bogonghazy whilst on a flying visit to S.A. from Mexico to do a few Trails.
Thanks yet again crane2.
Thanks yet again crane2.
Quick find again with Sully1 on our trip to Morgan this morning, nice hide here, thanks again crane2.
What a lovely lock to visit it looks fabulous at the moment with the river being so high. Thanks for this easy drive by cache.
Cute little hidey hole!!! .... stealth was required today! ThaNKS crane2 for the hide!
Our first find for the day. We took geoPop on our detour, for his first look at caching. Tin lids were hot on the trail before geoPop knew what to even look for!
Our day caching trip around the Riverland...clever hide which was found by Ms Bushies2, another intereting area. Thanks crane2.
Made perfect sense to the rest of us where this was, but Dad had no idea. I think we're slowly proving we're not crazy after all. TFTC
We are having a really lovely day visiting locks on the river murray. M & A doing all the hard work with the GPS, finding the caches and writing them up for me. What a service. TFTC
We just made it here in time to have a look at the lock before it closed for the day, and once we had shifted up to the top car park to decide where we headed next, we took the opportunity to grab the cache after the lock master had made his way up the road.
A's dad couldn't believe his eyes when A grabbed the cache, but to us it was just normal! Also found with Anana during our tour of the locks of the Murray day.

Got there just in time to have a sticky at the Lock.
Running around the riverland today prior to the NYE event. Did a heap, and this was in the crowd.
Thanks

1410 Easy find for 'nsuch whilst Trunks worked out which caches were accessible after the recent rains. TFTC crane2
Nice hide. Thanks to the person who put a 3 hooked fishing lure in there, my son nearly ended up with it hanging out of his finger after opening the cache. Please people, be considerate about what you leave in a cache, sharp hooks are bit dumb.
Found while in the Riverland SA Country Football Championships
Had a Sushilord moment as was looking for Lock 4 - duhhhhhh
Neat hide, thanks crane

Looking for this cache I accidently plugged in Gypsycachers 'Lock four' as the cache to go to. This meant starting a search in the wrong spot for the wrong cache, however I got to talk to the Lock-keeper and saw how not to drive a house boat out of the lock.
The Lock-keeper knew about the nearby caches, but he wouldn't let me cross over to Lock four, that will have to wait for another day. He did point out the location of this cache to me though.

The GPS said I was parked on top of the cache so guessed where it would be and the clue confirmed it. TFTC
A very impressive cammo setup complete with decoy. Very well done. Took pathtag. Thanks Crane2.
Thanks Crane2 for the cunning hide. Love the effort that went into this and also into its near neighbour! Well done.
2321. Loved this one as I guess most people do. Very well done indeed. I won;t say much more as that could give the game away, but top effort that.

Cache container replaced and new logbook added. Should be fine now. Thanks for the plastic bag to tide it through.
Found by Mary & David at 1125. A nice quick one. Fascinated by all the gazanias along the roadside and even among the vines. Have never seen such brilliant colours before. Even though they are a South African import, they do add something. The lid is cracked and won't stay closed, so we put it all in zip-lock bag to hold it together. Our thanks again to crane2.
Well, GC1TJ3B - Let's Raid the Food Bowl was over and I was the last South Australian to leave "Mexico" but not before grabbing some more caches on the way home.
Perfect weather and I took the Old Mail Road again to clean up some I missed in the mud. It is amazing the difference in 3 days to the condition of the road.
Nearly got caught out by a SA Water worker returning to the Lock. TFTC.

Found at 1425. Arrived at GZ, and whilst the coords seemed to be off a little, we search a few of the obvious locations before we ended trusting the coords a little more than we had been...and presto...a cache! A nice cache hide which for it's simplicity, works very well.
Thanks.
Thanks.
As MV said this hide was simple but very effective and I really admire the audacity of the hide! We didn't get an opportunity to explore the Lock as the rain was threatening but I shall have to explore the other side on my next visit.
Thanks again, very enjoyable.

No. 13 of 16 today. Found at 1652. We came here looking for Lock Four and discovered we were on the wrong side of the river. Back in the car - where is the next closest cache? Get out of the car. While I was looking for the clue, Boxer was lifting a cover! All too easy really - and a smiley even though we stuffed up badly. Thank you again.
Find # 2892 and 37th on our trip to the riverlands at 9:47 am. Accompanied by Feathertop, Robmc and Chewinprickles.Nice drive-by, easy find, TNLN, left my mark in the log, Thanx Crane2....
Nice hide. Oenze did the collection, everyone else were too slack to get out of the car
Thanks, Robmc.
Thanks, Robmc.
Left Oenze to grab this one while the rest of us played muggles. Nice hide and another very pretty spot down near the river too.
So as not to arouse too much atention, Oenze was the only one to leave the car and make the find which was cleverly and neatly hidden.
We continued down to the lock and it would be another day before we would be on the other side in search of the more elusive caches around here.

Well we goofed big time on this one, approaching GZ from the wrong side of the big fence I guess the exercise was worthwhile

We have visited many locks since starting geocaching but have unfortunately only seen them in use twice and this one didn't break the drought. We had a bit of a search around, but the GPS was not happy where we were and kept on insisting that we moved away which we did and found the cache more by accident than anything else. We thought that this was a clever hide, we walked away from here with a smile on our faces
Thanks once again Crane2

Out for the weekend caching with Briben while staying at Moorook Conservation Park. Had a laugh over this hide. It was great. Left a butterfly hairclip and a klem bear and took a beetle. Thanks crane2
A quick find. Loved the hide. Stopped and had a snack at the lock and were lucky enough to see a houseboat making it's way down river.

Another cool cache. Thanks for keeping the hide quality high. You're the shining star up this way
Well, there was only one place it could be, but it is such a good hide. Still can't figure out if it was taking advantage of the available or purpose built, but either way it was my favourite of the few days visit I had here. Well done and thanks crane2.
Brilliant. Love this. Do you live in that house Mr Crane [?] had the cloak of invisibility handy if they came out. Nice sign....
Clear skies from TeamAstro and our thanx to Crane2 for the hide. [^][^]
Great name and a fantastic hide - I found easily whilst Mini-Mack went further afield, after signing the log I told him to put it back, hehehe - TFTC
very tricky crane2, hadn't been down this way for years....

Took: Geocaching Pin / Left: Mini Salt Shaker
Another clever hide, and indeed a drive-by, having driven past before realising that we had passed GZ. Quickly backtracked, thought about it, Nah, it couldn't be there could it? It was, and a Silver to Jardry on a very hot Sunday afternoon. TFTC.
