When I last checked the location the cache was missing. I may put another one there later.
So sad to see this cache archived
It truly is a gorgeous part of the world that needs a cache, even if not found every other day.
Thank you 47tuc for sharing this little place of beauty with me I loved visiting your cache!
Cheers Nyssa ??

Forgot to log, but found with S_38. I have lived around the corner for 6 years / in Lonnavale, but never knew about this one! Thanks for taking us here, such a great walk and great falls!
After moving to Tasmania to live I have been enjoying finding a few local caches and hope to clear my local area and start hiding a few too. Thanks for hiding this one
On a day's caching with Nyssaflutterby (our visitor from Qld). Our aims include "long lost" and archived caches and a special cache for Nyssa to complete her 4000th cache. A last some good weather, cold but clear, calm and sunny. We mad it to GZ thanks to some excellent driving instructions received from Alby Dangles. So glad we used his instructions as the roads were in good condition until the cache site when a large "Road Closed" sign heralded a trench in the road where the river flowed. Located the cache and signed. The cache was covered with mud but was airtight and despite the length of time between finds the log was still in perfect condition. 2 celebrations followed - the first celebrating our visit over 100 days after the previous find - the second celebrating Nyssa's 4000 cache (a great achievement). After cache celebrations we followed the track to the falls. It is a brilliant track through dense coverage with interesting flora and fauna in abundance. Today was quite slippery with plenty of old and new obstacles to negotiate but we eventually made it down to the falls where we were greeted with a spectacular display of roaring water. The cache and the falls were a great bonus to our day.
TFTC and a favourite from us.

With my 4000th cache coming up, I knew that I would be down this way so started looking for a nice little walk to do. I noticed that this one had not been given any love in 1006 days, poor lonely cache. Best we see if we can change that! I mentioned this one to membsec and then we started making plans. We must say a big thank you to AlbyDangles for helping us out with great directions.
We started out from home early and made it to Judbury just after 10 am. The gravel roads then started and we could see why this area would be great for rally car driving. If I only I had Spangle with us today On we drove, round corners, over bridges, past strange walls in the middle of nowhere, over the hills and far away. GZ was coming up! Sir membsec stopped the car in front of the road end sign, off we all scrambled to find the cache. Sure enough there it was, right where it should be. WOOHOO! Cache 4000 for me
Rightio! Time to visit the falls then. We took our time and enjoyed the stunning flora, while we didn't see any fauna we could hear many different birds singing happy songs all around us. I loved the mossy walkway and the huge towering giant trees. Finally we had made it to the bottom of the falls. All I can say is WOW!!! A few photos were taken and we marveled at beauty and force of nature. There certainly is a good amount of water going over the falls at the moment.
Thanks for the cache and for bringing me to this gorgeous part of the universe 47tuc A favourite point from me!

Hi 47tuc
This cache not only gets a favourite from me but gets a high recommendation as well. I absolutey loved doing this cache:
The TomTom tried to take me over the Huon River at Tahune Air Walk but that bridge is closed to through traffic. Firther driving required, but this time following the arrow of the Garmin 450 - finally found the right road and arrived at ground zero.
A very quick find was effected at 1420hrs.
Now down to the falls - what a specky walk! (It took less time for me to walk in and out than it did to navigate the car to the start of this walk.)
The track is well defined and blazed. Not as difficult to negotiate as I had been led to believe. If an old man like me - (they don't call me "Old"Saint for nothing) - can do it; then anyone can! If wet, just don't tread on the roots and the wood too much. Great scenery both ways as you walk beside the tinkling waters of Isabella Creek. The mossy rocks and sub-growth is beautiful.
On the way in, I was priviledged to see a lyre bird in full flight as it winged its way through the trees. It followed me all the way to the falls where I had the honour of watching it feed. (Photographic evidence provided - albeit not very good photographs.) had this bird as a companion as I climbed out from the falls. It tried to kick stones on my head from the ridge above the track.
Plenty of water cascading over the crest made Reuben Falls a spectacular sight today.
I will walk back in with any cacher who wants to visit these beautiful cascades in the future.
I really extend a hearty thank you to 47tuc for putting a cache in an area to which I had not visited before and for taking me to one of my favourite walking pashions; a great set of waterfalls.
Cheers and thanks;
OldSaint.

I thought I would do this cache as I love waterfalls and been winter there should be plenty of water.
I had been in this area many times in the past while car rallying so knew how to get here.
Found the cache easily and then went for a very pleasant walk to the beautiful falls.
If any one is after driving instructions Email me.

The road to the cache is open and clear.
First time I've checked the cache for a while. It was a bit damp inside so I cleaned it out and replaced it.
Then walked down to the falls. The track is a bit damp in places but quite easily negotiated. There was a lot of water going over the falls and quite a strong blast of spray at the bottom. Definitely worth the visit.

In attempt to get down here on a me time trip. It appears that this road is still blocked off by a gate. I didn't stop to look for any signage as I thought I was lost as the Gps on the phone wasn't getting a great signal and it was getting late.
Maybe needs a bit of a checkup.

Walked into these falls some 16/17 years ago, never thought we would be back this way, just goes to show where you will go to get a cache.

After we found Bluffed we drove towards Isabella..., but we were unable to reach destination because road was closed by boom gate of Forestry of Tasmania . Reason "Forestry operation". What a potty so close and yet so far. We have to mention a name Carol. a nice lady from Tahune Airwalk who gave us a map with forestry roads.
Great area in here, the water was fair rushing down here today. The track was pretty hairy towards the end, trees washed down over it and the safety barrier, but all made it down safely. It's quite amazing the amount of water coming down the falls, and the amount of wind it generates.
Great area, thanks for bringing us here. TNSL.
Great area, thanks for bringing us here. TNSL.
Found this one exactly where I would have put it.
Cache dry inside and in good condition.
TNLNSL. After driving all the way to this cache, I decided I had better do the walk to the falls. And it was such a good day to do it.
There are a couple of extra hazards to the way down to the falls now - some recently fallen trees and an ever changing track due to the amount of leaf litter on the ground.
Had a wonderful time. thanks for brining me out here and I really enjoyed the thrash around the forests getting to these caches.

What an adventure !
It wasn’t until mid afternoon when I left to see if I could find this new cache.
My only company was a few TB’s and a coin and off into the wilderness I went.
The navigational software on my GPS was confused the whole way so a lot of my 230km was completely unnecessary
I think I traveled almost every road and I can’t say enough about the helpful lady at the Tahune Air Walk who opened up the visitors centre just for me so I could find the road I was looking for on their map. She was concerned about me being out late at night in such a remote area but she doesn’t know ‘red tag’
After more driving and listening to my new CD for about the 20th time I was finally at GZ. Sorry 47tuc I did just grab the cache and go but with limited light left and another FTF waiting not far away I didn’t do the walk to the falls but I will definitely be back soon to do it.
Thanks for the cache. I loved it!
