I just realized now that this cache was disabled. And I wondered what was wrong with me. But at least it made a nice place to stay the night.
Had no luck! There is flood debris up to the highest levels. Sooo maybe.........it's gone?
In our short caching career, this has to rate as the most unpleasant place to look!
Scary!

Gee it is noisy under there when a road train goes over but no luck finding the cache
Thtsgld geopartner and myself spent quite sometime looking for this one. May have been washed away as thtsgld informed us that this area was well and truly under water on the 27 th of dec 11. Think the owner should check this one.
Found at 1.10pm GAFF2. We left this cache for our return journey after heading up to Kakado, Darwin and Litchfield - it was much easier to park on the side of the road heading south with the van on.
We spent some time searching for this well placed cache - co-ords are actually spot on.
Thanks Groboz.

In my younger days of civil rebellion I might have spray painted the front of the camera or at least superglued the lock. But now that I am older wiser I suspecte that there is probably a second surveilance camera monitoring the beast, so I will leave it well alone. having said that I failed to find the cache.
Noisy damned place with the traffic overhead, gave up in mood of trauma and distraction.
A bit of scrambling to and fro before I eventually located it. Wonder what the old boiler was for? TFTC.
We nearly didn't find it. It was a hard find. It was really noisy under the bridge. Found a plastic snake.
Not such an easy find, good thing Squeak was along for the ride as it helped having someone with a bit of height. Squeak took snake when I was not looking and used it later in the day to scare me. It worked! I owe him big time now.TFTC. Will drop something off next time we pass maybe even the little brown snake.
Find number 6 for the day, and find number 282 on the twentythird day of our month long trip to Warwick, Lightning Ridge, Boulia, Plenty Highway, Alice Springs, Ayres Rock, Darwin, and home. Found at 1630hrs Qld time.
I will admit it took me a bit to find this one. But at least the new pipework did eventually help.
Theres actually one of those camersa on both side of the roads. And I thought Qld ones were sneaky. I felt like getting a bit of gaffa tape and------

We made a short stop here. As we went to the cache we went through the bush, back we took the better way.
Thanks for hiding.

Alas, I think Fergie has been removed during recent work on the bridge. There is some new pipe work underneath the bridge and a very sneaky camera placed just behind the barrier. Watch your speed I would suggest...
I noticed some pipe clips and nails etc but, there was no sign of any container. I scrambled up on top of the wall to have a closer look at the spots I couldn't see easily but, nothing...
Might pay to check on this one Groboz. I hope I just missed it and all is well but for a regular container in that location, it would be hard to miss...

On my trip with my mum sissifalke we drove from Darwin, to Broome to Port Hedland, through Carnavon, to Exmouth, to Monkey Mia, to Geraldton, to Hyden, to Bunbury and finally we went through Freemantle on our way to Perth.
We also stopped at this cache..
Thanks and best greetings from Sydney

It took me a while to locate the cache and the sound of cars heading over the bridge was amazingly loud. I eventually got my act together and got the job done. TFTC Groboz. [765]
Found on the way back to Darwin - in between rain squalls.
Took little wooden doll

No problem, a bit disconcerting though listening to the traffic overhead. Thanks Groboz
Must of looked a sight walking randomly towards the cache on a hot afternoon. I have to admit if the traffic over head wasn't scary enough the cahe topped it off...

Thanks, groboz... quite a challenge, especially for those of us that are vertically challenged!. TFTC and the - well - challenge!
Thought this would be a great find, but no luck, checked both sides in case and got a fright when cars went overhead. no luck, such a pity as its a great spot for one
Heading down to this one tomorrow. If the cache is missing I will replace it. Either way it should be ready to go by Sunday 11th July 2010.
I searched long enough to get used to the traffic over head, but still no luck. I even found a rusty torch but that didn't shed any light on it either, oh well....
Thanks for the hunt.
Thanks for the hunt.
This site creeped me out... like I was going to find a dead body or something - not sure what that was about. Anyway, I looked in all the obvious spots and some of the not so obvious but had no luck. I went walking through head-high grass and got covered in this sticky stuff from the grass with grass seeds glued to the hair on my legs but all to no avail. Thanks for the challenge! I will try again next time I'm down that way.
A quick look did not reveal the cache. As a consolation, The Ghan headed south over the 100 year old Ferguson River railway bridge when we were there. Will spend a bit more time on our next trip in the area.
nice place to stop, but as usual I drove past it and had to U turn and drive back, jumped out with the geogirl and walked back, walked along the road, worked out it was just under the edge, nice and easy find, good hiding place, (black container hidden in shadows)
nice place to use as a waypoint for "My GPS" TB

Determined to stop for this one today.. found accompanied by Trudders who got to it first. Got honked at by truck which delighted the younger members of the crew! TFTH Groboz
Couldn't do this one on way to Darwin so was happy to pick it up on way back down to Broome. Cheers
Found by Mr NTBBBB. I must have driven past this one more than 6 times (since starting caching) and for some reason have never stopped, so was good to finally stop and pick this one up for an easy find. Dropped off my BBBB TB and NT GC before grabbing them back again.

WanderingAus wandered by on day 79 of a "climatic refugee" trip, finally heading South after almost 9 weeks in Darwin, and made an extremely easy GAFF 1 find. I had considered hunting this one on the way North in June, but the only suitable parking, particularly towing a caravan, is on the Southbound side. An easy pull-up, short walk back, cross the road and spot the cache.
I had hoped this one would meet the Groboz Caching Code of not planting a cache for the sake of just hiding a cache - more in it for the finder; exercise, a good view, history; but in this case there were none of the above.
My find No 1671, LCC, TNLNSL, dropped The Beast, Pizza and the Down Under Dream TB (ref = TB1RHV0) and my WanderingAus Happy New Year 2008 Gold GC in for a visit before grabbing them back again.

Found this one fairly easily, parking easier if heading south, I'm glad that bridge is solid, traffic just flies over it. TNLN TFTC
An easy find but with 130 k speed limit the traffic was more than noticeable.

Typical Groboz cache, hope it lasts if there is good sized water flow in a wet season. Good spot quick find.

Started out from Kakadu this morning and having noticed this one on the way up grabbed it on our return. now on to the nearby falls.
Easy and quick find after avoiding the traffic, decided to do this one on the way back from a geofamily trip to Umbrawarra Gorge for a swim and picnic
Smuggle Bug went in for the cache while I waited at a distance in the car. Thought she had fallen in for a moment but she emerged victorious. Took TB. TFTC.
Found by Mr Bushies2. Nice view and could see a guy fishing below but he couldn't see us! Dropped our TB. Thanks Groboz for the hide.
This one was a nice and quick one whilst on our way to Pine Creek.

A qucik find on the way north to Pine Creek. A few cars slow down, maybe wondering what I was doing, but apart from that, all was good.
