Not too many places you can hide a cache here so this one was in hand nice and quickly. Very quiet around GZ this afternoon, perhaps due to the threatening cloud... Means I had the place to myself though which was perfect... [^]
Cheers Polywantacracker.

i looked there and it wasnt there, friend looked there it was found with farmer brown
I'm not sure why it has taken me 2 years to come here and look for this tiny cache, as in the end it was a simple find at an interesting memorial.
Thanks

We slapped ourselves after we searched for about 5mins in the wrong places when we found this one.

Caching Day "Fun in the Winter Sun" with geo-daughter and geo-niece.
GPS had GZ a few meters away from the most likely location for the cache.
Was on the verge of giving up when, luckily, geo-daughter found the cache in a bush ... amazing, given the size and colour of the container... PHEW! [:X]
Was just rolling up the log when we got busted by mtbikeoz and mntlioness. After a nice chat we were off to the next location.

Found on an early Monday public holiday morning rode on the Mountain bike, Thanks.
Rode up to the memorial and Busted "Challenge me" signing the log.

The wet trees put the GPSr off course but when we exhausted that option we looked in a likely place for a micro and, Voila!

Knew where this would be as it was a waypoint in a multi many years ago. Was closer to the memorial than expected and after gaining 2 of these containers today have some idea about where they fit.
arrived at the park and we were all getting out of the car with the geoequiptment and AJ.Junior had already made his way over to the cache and found it. so an easy find for us! TFTC
I always like reading about Catalinas. As a small boy I used to visit my Grandparents in Sydney for the Xmas holidays, and used to go across the road to watch the Flying Boats take off for Lord Howe Island.
I have also visited their old bases in the Northern Territory.
A nice quick find in an obvious place.
Thanks, Robmc.

This was the highlight of our week!!! What a brilliant, little (and I do mean little) hide!
When we grow up, we want to be able to think of clever ideas like polywantacracker - way to go guys. I like your work!!

An interesting cache which we were able to find with more ease than expected. We must be getting better at this. TFTC
Great hide - good that I had my SAK with me else my fat fingers won't have got at it. TNLN tftc
Found in the company of Acts2youthgroup. There were a few people around when we got to gz, but thankfully they didn't stay long and the cache was a quick find. TFTC at a worthwhile memorial..
This was cache # 20 of 41 for the day, in the company of Alansee on our five day long weekend Adelaide caching Bonanza. Am not a big fan of this type of container but thankfully this one gave up with out to much of a fight. I enjoyed reading the plaque and the name soon made sense. My thanks to Mr Polywantacracker for the cache.
Found on Adelaide Invasion trip with The Rats, Big Matt and Shell and Farmer Frentzen.
Shame we didn't have more time to look around while we were here. TFTC!

The Gangsters (The Rats, Big Matt & Shell, Farmer Frentzen and Steeba) found this cache as part of our record breaking run around Adelaide. This was our first nano for the day and damm our stickers didnt fit on the log, we had to write our names.
Thanks for being part of the hunt.

Had to take one of the caches with me as lid wasn't in good shape and I didnt think it was going to stay where it should.
If I dont hear from the owner I'll replace it myself.

Muggles were havin a house party yesterday so came back today and from the clues knew exactly were to look.
Looks like the Urban Cache Cows were doin the same rounds as i was yesterday, pity we didnt run into each other.
Anyway got the cache out and the canister was a bit worse for wear. Wasnt confident that it would stay where it was and the log was full so decided to take it with me. Ill contact the owner and drop it to them or they can pick it up to replace.

WanderingAus wandered by on day 97 of a "climatic refugee" trip, and made a very easy GAFF 1 find. Having not read the cache page or any logs I was unaware of the broken container, but on finding it decided to replace it anyway, especially as the log was saturated and full. I always carry a couple of nanos in my camera case "just in case". I re-hid the old one together with the new one.

This one had me determined to open it. I had WD40 on board and sprayed that all over but made no difference so I brought out 2 pairs of vice grips to try and get it open but it just slipped when I applied small amount of pressure so I grabbed it really tight and the top just broke off. This allowed me to sign the log and sticky tape it back together but this really needs a new container
We found the cache but couldn't write in it as we couldn't open the container.

thanks and found. I too agree that the container need a bit of attention. we have pliers and spanners, but still couldn't get it opened.
I am going to log a find on this one although I was unable to sign the log. The item was unable to be opened. The owner my want to pop by and spray a bit of WD40 and use some pliers. It was just where I thought and easy to find. What else and where else would it be?

Had a few hours spare while the wife and inlaws spent all my money at Harbour Town, so off I went to escape.
Walked around the memorial as the GPSr had me looking off in the grass, but then I started thinking correctly and found the cache in seconds.

The long grass was very wet so was the log so we sat in the car and dried it. Good hide. Great day for using the heater.
Got totally saturated getting ths one - most of the water from the long grass ended up in my socks! Clever hide, and appreciated the visit to the memorial. Thanks for the cache.
Found it @ approx. 14:30

So easy, found in about 10 seconds. very obvious where it was. If thats tiny, the owner doesnt want to come up to Queensland. That is positively huge compared to some of ours.
Be careful when doing this one, you ARE being watched by a local, who had a large part in setting up the memorial, and as such, keeps a good eye on it. He approached us after the find, asking about our interest in WW2 memorials. He explained to us about how it all came to be.
Found at 1645 hrs, numebr 12 for today.
Cheers

Found while on a caching road trip with Konie and The Wonderstuff. A well themed cache and a tricky one to grab. Thanks.
The Kettle Kids had jumped out the car and found this one before Pa Kettle had time to read the notes and warn them it was a Nano!
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
1765. Very dry park at the moment but I guess that's a sign of the times we are now living in. Pity the old man wasn't with me he would have got more out of this cache, being an ex-aviator, than even I did. Tiny cache that needed the LCP (Lucky Caching Pen) to retrieve.

second quick find on a rushed Adelaide visit (wish there was time for more!).... nano's are not generally my thing but found this one quickly and easily... nice bit of info on the plaque also.... visited the SGGG to the lo-cal...

It certainly helps to have a daughter who is keen to build up her hours for her learner driving.
I was being chauffeured around for a few hours.
This turned out to be a quick find. Ella couldn't believe the cache container.

Was right the first place we looked ... Probably looked worse trying to retrieve it.... TFTC and a chance to read up on those unsung heroes.
After trying to take the sprinkler head apart we pried the nano from its hidey hole. As we made our way back to the car we were approached by a neighbour who offered to answer our questions about the park. After reassuring him we were fine and thanking him for his offer we made our way quickly to the car and out of there.

Felt a bit exposed doing this one. What a tiny cache!!!! Like something from a spy movie.
Arriving at the cache I accidentally hit the car alarm instead of the door lock. So much for stealth . A trip back to the car to consult the notes had Mrs Nosey Muggle give us the curious eye. Once back iat the GZ, Floss and I quickly extracted the cache, logged and left. BTW, have I told anyone that I hate nanos? I had intended to make this an old haunt (albiet a little way from the maritime patrol squadrons of 10 and 11 at Edinburgh). TFTC anyway.
# 21 of 28 for the day on the way to 1000.
With an old man who spent 31 years in the RAAF, the last decade on Orions, I grew up with military history as a big part of my childhood so it is good to see places like this to honour those who have gone before us.

Found this while on the way to work. I was observed by a neighbour to the south but the nearby vegetation would have hidden my deft retrieval and replacement. A cunning little hide, easily solved with a little thought.
Dropping in some TB's for a visit.
Thanks for the cache.

Much more successful visit this time, with the new hide. No neighbours to worry about, and quickly had the cache. Wind was pretty strong today, but probably not enough to get the boats flying. Maybe a pig or two though.
