Logs
I've decided to archive this cache as whilst it is visited often, it is not really a great hide and after checking out the area there isn't really anywhere better.
I may decide to replace in the future, but for now, it can sleep.

Found quite easy after taking a wizz. Was water logged (not by me), dried book and emptied water. Needs new stuff and book nearly finished. Will need to be replaced soon. Took nothing left nothing, sharpened pencil.
Found easy but log book was wet and bit waterlogged inside cache box. I did clean up and keep dry but still log book wet.T.N.L.N

I'll try and get there soon with a new container and log book. Looks like the rain has actually taken it's toll on a few caches. Amazing what a drought can mask
I only saw the Welcome sign after I found the cache. On a grey Sunday, there weren't too many cars, except the guy in his 4WD that was testing it out on the inclines nearby .
The cache needs some maintenance; everything is very wet.
Cheers.

Dodging the showers today. Not quite sure what the guy was doing in the 4WD driving up and down an embankment on the side of the road but you get that.

Found, easily today. Hid it slightly better. Lovelly weather today up here had to wait for cars to pass though. Pretty windy. The cache doesn't seal properly and everything is wet, was able to leave log ok though. TNLF TFTC. Tipped out the brown water before leaving.
Found this one after a bit of a search, we had wet feet from the longish damp grass / weeds at the moment.
The contents were a bit damp, might need a new container.

Quick find, cache was a bit damp so I hung it in the wind for a while before returning it to its spot. Thanks setsujoku.
Found a similar structure at the other end of the town, but knew it was the wrong one. Found the cache with coordinates spot on. Thanks Setsujoku.
Nice easy found it. Lovely garden with roses... also interesting about the history too. SL. Thanks George of the Jungle for organising the cache and hunt.
Satloc a bit dicey but found it after a short search.

Thanks Setsujoku for the cache and hunt.

Quick find, though I was a bit overenthusiastic and lifted away more of the cover than was really necessary to reveal the cache. Easy to put it all back in order though.
TNLN - Thanks setsujoku

Find 453 without a GPS at 11.15am after getting stuck in bumper to bumper traffic on my way to the Tour Down Under in the Southern Vales.
I studied this cache location on Google Earth last week so I had no problem finding it.
TNLNSL FOFV Thanks to Setsujoku

First of the day on the way to Victor. As I signed the log a couple of friendly fellows wandered over to say hello and see if I had anything for them to eat. TFTC.

Almost gave up, as it ended up needing a bit of brute force to uncover it!!!

I've been past this spot several times in the last few days and finally realised that it was time to find it! This was duly done thanks Setsujoku.
Decided to take in Old Noarlunga today hoping that the rain might let up - it didnt. First find today - spotted it as soon as I pulled up as the grass has all died off. Took the Penny TB and left the Hermine TB. Hid the container a little better. TFTC
Easy little detour and find on our way home from having lunch with friends at Lonsdale. Considering the time of day there was very little traffic passing.

Found this one around midnight, then decided to drive down through the town like I do around Christmas time most years! No Christmas lights were on tho, perhaps it was too late at night or not close enough to Christmas! Ahhh well...
Nice simple hide, easy find signed log.

Always love coming to this town. A nice quick find. Left RhineMaiden Flosshilde TB and a klem bear and took a whistle. Thanks Setsujoku
A nice easy find to mark the end of our caching day before heading back home to the Northern suburbs. We actually got to use that stupid, half-baked excuse for an expressway, as it was finally going in a direction that was useful to us
Cheers Setsujoku .
Cheers Setsujoku .
For some reason we were still getting up to speed on the cache hunting. Cache was found in the obvious spot that we missed on the first pass.
I was in full swing at missing the obvious.
No mogo for me in the early part of the night.

Took 3 of us to find the 1 style cache. It was night however. The rule is that you add one astro at night.
Lovely sign to Welcome the visitors. Clear skies too. [^]
Found this one no probs. TFTC. This was Samuel's first find for the day. Took badge, left whistle. Thanks again. Cheers Mark, Sam & Tom.
Popped out on Sunday afternoon during a sunny break for this local one.
We came here once to watch a thunder storm come in from the ocean
Gave Geoson (4) the etrex and away he went, nice find.
Out :- nothing
In :- Toy windmill ring

A nice winding diversion through Old Noarlunga which is much more pleasant that plain old South Road. Followed the wet geotrail into the obvious spot. TNLNSL.
Our coords were about 10-15m out all day today, but found this one easily enough. It was Mrs S' day for finding.
Thanks setsujoku

Found the cache on the way to "Alternative to plus is Minus." Quite a quick find! Thanks for the planting the cache, it was fun.
This was a lot easier in daylight than it was the other night without a torch! Thanks setsujoku. Took tb.
Visited Old Noarlunga, to scatter ashes and have lunch at the pub. Drove past a few times, but didn't stop until later in the day. Parked up top, on the busy road (shift change at the abattoirs[?]), and a quick find, with so many tyre tracks in the dirt by GZ. Thanks for the seat at GZ.
Old Noarlunga holds a special place in Mrs C's heart, as she had her 21st at the Horseshoe Inn (where the fish are now located).
TNLN, TFTC Setsujoku
Cheers

Rule no. 1: Always take a torch. Light is essential if caching at night. The comedy. Attempt no. 1: The light from the night display on an etrex. Appalling at the best of times. Seeing the low battery warning come up is not encouraging. Attempt no. 2: 2 X 45 watts. Great lights but fixed to the vehicle and leave huge shadows. High beam may have been better but wanted to retain some dignity. Attempt no. 3: 8w trouble lamp. Tethered to the vehicle but the best of the options available. I will watch this cache with some interest and a lot of embarrassment.
