As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
Possible problem with the first waypoint - comments suggest that the signs have changed at WP1. If so, we may archive this one as it has been a while waiting for any visitors and may have outlived its life. Will check the signs and restore / archive accordingly.
Cache maintenance visit. Walked the route with Little Blue Elephant who then located the largely empty cache container. Refilled with some goodies including an Aussiepuschaks pathtag for the next finder, and cleared the cobwebs away from the hide.

I kept on making silly mistakes with the coordinates and had to do a bit of back tracking. I got there in the end. TFTC!
A enjoyable multi that didn't take long after work. An easy find, no sign of the spider at GZ.
Note WP1 is now just outside a temporary wire fence, looks like Cook school is getting demolished soon, hopefully the sign survives.

Nice little wander around the area just as the day was starting to warm up, I thought the area looked familiar but the penny didn't drop until later on.
A well put together multi that I enjoyed.
BTW the redback at the GZ is still there, I went looking for a stick as well when I spotted her but she had vanished by the time I got back, a very careful retrieval produced a spiderless cache thank goodness. I still remember an incident of extracting a cache and sitting down with it in my lap before turning it over to discover a big huntsman on the lid, aaaargh cache went one way and I went the other. Anyhow signed and returned the cache, still no sign of the redback but I'm sure it's still hiding there.

The first sign was interesting. The cache location was a bit trickier; I looked but from the wrong angle and missed it. Then I looked again and there it was. BUT between it and I was the biggest red-back I had seen since...well not long enough. So off I went to get a big stick. Spider was nowhere to be seen (my looking must have prompted it to move) so I used the stick to retrieve the cache. No spiders on it. The stick was used to put the cache back.

A nice little multi and first for the day. There could be some sign confusion at WP1 but we trusted the oldest! TFTC
Was home sick with a sinus infection but the doctor recommended keeping upright and mobile with fresh air to help everything "loosen up". What shall I do - caching! well a little bit of caching. A quick stroll around the center of Cook suburb - haven't been here for years so it was nice to see any changes that have occurred during that time. Cache hide has a few extra visitors these days (ie spiders). TFTC!

Thanks for the multi aussiepuschaks, I enjoyed it so much that I took a swap without replacing it with another by accident so I owe you one.
Looks like (G+K) was too much maths for my lacking brain and being out by one digit, put me away from WP 2 by 150 metres. Rechecked and oh!! how embarrassing.
Once I got the maths sorted I was able to find easily.

After a DNF on this one previously (I was on my own and with children playing nearby I didn't want to appear dodgy hanging around there), it was time to try again but this time with some reinforcements.
Agent Provocateur and Mrs Mercuryprawnhead with the quick find and away we went.

Dropped in today to replace the log and check on the cache. It has moved slightly from the original position (not by any degree, minute or second) and seems to have remained safe in the new location despite my original misgivings. Left Australian Flag Micro GC to start its travels.
Being somewhat arachnophobic, I held my breath when retrieving this one in case there were any little furry friends in there. However, all was well. TFTC
The first thing that struck me about the sign, is that there seems to be a small mass grave in front of it Made me wonder about the message.
I started it late at night when tired (not a good idea), stuffed up the numbers and ended up in someones living room. While they were very sympathetic, they couldn't tell me where WP2 was
Went home and got a good nights sleep and returned early the next morning. Had no problem when awake.
Nice area.
Thanks, Robmc.

All the time I walked the dog past this cache. I will be watching now to see who pops past.
Am puppy-sitting this weekend so did my first ever cache with a geohound tagging along, and I honestly I don't know how anyone gets a cache done with a geohound around! She was so busy exploring everything and trying to go off in her own direction to check something out I thought we'd never get there, but we made it to the final waypoint and logged our visit. Was very exposed but luckily no-one was around so we could log the find.
Log sheet is full, the back of the sheet is blank so you can still log a find there, but the lined side is full.
This was close to where I was staying so walked down with just the coordinate but did not find the initial waypoint. Came back later and found the first waypoint and then onto the next. Made a mistake with the next calculations for some reason so had to return and start again on them.
Eventually found the cache just before a muggle and his dog arrived.
Thanks for the cache.

Like many others, I can certainly relate the quote at WP1 to my geocaching experience!
I'd nipped out of the office on my bike at lunchtime for a spot of caching. Found WP1 okay but was then bewildered for a few minutes by the instructions for WP2, until it suddenly clicked what to do.
Worked out the next coordinates, but came up with something that was obviously wrong. Corrected that error, then headed off to a spot near WP2 where I realised I'd made another error. Corrected THAT one, found WP2 then off to GZ with no trouble.
Found the cache right away (odd hiding spot, dont think Id put one there) and back to work in about an hour, despite the troubles with WP2 coordinates.
Thanks Aussiepuschaks

Bit of cross country on the bikes and we had it. Didn't see the container the first time I looked in the right location. Good camo, and well placed!
I liked the quote at the first waypoint, didnt mind the location of the second way point (a pit stop along the way to the end location) but found the final waypoint to be a bit ordinary - it felt very exposed. Still, a fun, quick multi in an area I dont often get to visit.
The children (11yo and 13yo) did this one on their own. They realised they had made a mistake with the maths when the second WP put them in someone's backyard, so started again! The second time they were successful. They enjoyed the hunt! As there was only one thing in the cache, they took nothing and left several small things.
Headed out with Ra, the Geokids and a friend of Ju's for a mornings caching and this was our first stop. The kids loved tracking this one down and also loved the time spent on the nearby park once we grabbed the cache.

Found with linFox in the afternoon. After a short calculation at wp1 we walked around the long way to wp2 and found it with no troubles, then continued on to find the cache. After reading the past logs it seems like it may have moved a bit, but it is pretty well hidden now. On the way back we found a golf ball and a tennis ball in the grass, and passed some kids playing with a lighter, we had been wondering what that burning smell was.
Thanks, Jezzza Xtreme

Grabbing a few caches this arfternoon with JezzzaExtreme. My first multi in what seems like a very long time, too.
After making it a little difficult for ourselves, taking the long way from WP1 to WP2, then almost going in the wrong direction from WP2 to the GZ, we did find the cache after not too long.
Thanks!

found it today but wasin too open of a position so slighty hid it better but still in same spot. TFTC
Went night-caching with Hiphopopotamus1989 (who is yet to log a single find...slacker) which meant there were few wee muggle children about to slow our work.
Found rather easily, liked the WP's though.
Cache seemed rather out in the open, but looked like the best spot to stay, so SL and replaced.

2nd cache find for the day at 0730. Parked at WP1 and did the walk to WP2 and GZ and returned to WP1...nice and quick and easy!! hooray!
Took the geoneice out in the morning just before the cup started today. This was the first, got dropped off at the first waypoint found the sign and loved it, did a geocacher write it? Worked out waypoint 2 and found it easily too, geez things were going to smoothly for me. Got to gz and found the cache easily too. SL TFTC
Multis can be fun but a lot of work for those of us without a GPS.
I eventually got to GZ and was happy to find the cache waiting for me.

Just the sort of multi I like. Not too far, excellent coords, and a good spot to visit. Spied the cache as I wandered towards the hide and had it logged and replaced in very quick time. Enjoyed the experience thanks aussiepuschaks.

2nd of 8 finds on 08/08/08. 2nd find with AusCan1965.
2nd visit for this one. Had to check with the owner on the workings for WP1. Got the good oil and then back today to work it all out.
Found ourselves at GZ and with the cache in hand. Auscan was a little surprised at the location, but his log will tell you more about that........
TNLN and thanks for a cache that turned out well in the end.

507 - I see the clue for WP1 has been amended - a bit clearer now as we really couldn't understand it before.
After WP2 and locating GZ we were suprised at actually being able to see the cache. What is really amazing - and why this one might survive the muggles - is that I was at this oval 3 days ago for a kids sports carnival - so if 350 kids hanging around the area didn't stumble upon it thats a good sign !!

I must have been using old instructions from GSAK because I couldn't make sense of "13" as one of the digits. After considering a couple of options, I decided that the easiest option was to ask at the event today & I was soon set straight. I returned later in the day (to collect Biggles303 from a nearby friend) & was able to make a relatively quick find - but not before an extra walk across the oval due to my poor arithmetic! There were lots of dogs here again today too.

Couldn't let this one lay so close to home, so popped out tonight! Had a bit of difficulty with the first calculation but geospouse soon came to the rescue and off we went. Nice little stroll around the oval and surrounds. Thank you for the cache.
With up-to-date instructions, and being careful with my calculations, I had no problems with this! A nice and strainght forward multi. TNLN, thanks aussiepuschaks.
After trying this cache when it first appeared and having number issues I waited till today before having another go. It's the closest cache to home so babynent, geopooch and I walked to this one. I also used Mrs bents iPhone to find the cache which was a challenge! Thanks for the cache.
Found this today after soccer. There were a few dogs on the oval towing their muggles, far too interested in their play than notice us retrieve the cache. Thanks AussiePuschaks
Did this one at what turned out to be prime time on Sunday arvo at the local oval. allrounder, Shadow!, Huxley and I loaded into the geomobile to take on 3 multies within this general vicinity; collecting waypoint 2 at the peril of some plovers who were none too happy about the border collie's presence.
When trying to get to GZ, two pre-adolescents were just hanging about right atop it, waiting for their mum to come past. We were scheming how to distract them, as it seemed that they had settled in for the duration, when Huxley spied the local Ultimate Frisbee trainees and their two border collies on the oval, and being the obedient hound that he is, off he went!!! Nevertheless, he enjoyed playing with them.. we thoguht we were seeing in triplicate - they're very amusing to watch herding each other with unbroken concentration. Soon a black lab joined in and there were now 4 dogs - up and back, up and back. Soon I collected my pup (with only a minor mishap) and began back towards GZ, where allrounder and Shadow! had appropriated the cache without alerting the resident guardians who were still perched.
In the mean-time, more dogs descended upon us - that was all a bit overwhelming. They were coming from everywhere!!!
Eventaully got the cache back in the correct spot. This one took a lot longer at GZ than it did walking and calculating!

Found @ 4:44pm with Fore!, Shadow! and Huxley the geo-hound.
A nice walk despite being harassed by a pair of plovers.
We could see the cache from afar but it was hard to retrieve as there were a pair of mini-muggles sitting right on top of GZ.
Meanwhile Hux joined the border collie frisbee play group so Fore! had to keep an eye on him while Shadow! and I schemed about how to retrieve the cache.
An opportune moment arose when Shadow! picked up something they'd dropped. We moved away ostensibly to watch the dog display and filled in the log.
Fore! returned with a happy Hux and then it was back to scheming about how to replace the cache.
Shadow! eventually distracted the mini-muggles enough to allow Fore! to do the honours.
Will be interesting to see how long this cache lasts - the mni-muggles were literally climbing over it!

A smile came across my dial when I read that sign, very cute!. Then an easy find shortly thereafter, TFTC.
I love the sign, but on this cache my ability to count to do maths just flew out the window.
Twice I had to come back to the sign to ensure that my dyslexia wasn’t playing tricks on me.
Eventually I had WP2 coordinates sorted and off I trotted.
At WP2 the GPS was pointing into someone’s front yard, so I figured that the numbers by the street had to be the ones.
Found the cache no probs.

1244. When I got up this morning I had an email from Tealby about our Gong trip. At the end she suggsted that she expected me to go after the FTF. Gee I'm accommodating.
Very cold this morning as I pulled up to where I used to collect a friends daughter. If I could have remembered the quote I could have parked a lot closer to GZ. My eyes were having troubles with the PDA text (it's not old age I swear) but made it to WP2 anyway. It was almost like ice skating this morning which was fun, but by the time I got to GZ my fingers were almost not working (enough with the age thing.)
