Termites like to eat survey pegs too. One of the waypoints has been consumed. Time to pack this one up. All waypoints and gz have been removed
Out and about squeezing in pre xmas caching with Purrfect Di.

Sorry about the Generic Log, Many found and many to log from a few weeks ago.
The usual troupe of a Rat, Adder and Starfish on their Wednesday day out, today up North. Thanks for all the caches although I can not remember them all. The logs of the others pretty much describes the hide, find and adventure. TFTC

Some members of the Puzzled Puzzlers group of puzzle solvers were heading out on another Wednesday wander in search of Puzzles and anything else that comes within range. Today there was myself, Anymules, Blackadders and S.A. Sewer Rats on board and our ultimate destination was Clare or thereabouts. [8)] As usual there would be giggles, blood, probably a fall and some ripped clothing plus a lot of caches found. [:o)]
After a walk through spring Gully Conservation park it was time to go and find some other nearby caches. We are currently trying to get our multi cache numbers up for a number of challenges. So this was must do. A nicely themed cache with a great camo ending. A fav point form me. [:X]

After our encounter with a snake yesterday, we were watchful today as we hunted for the caches in the park. No issues though, the only thing we saw was a kangaroo watching us through the trees.
No problems finding the waypoints and no problems finding the cache. tftc

Nice views around here to look at between wps. quick find at gz since by now i knew what i was looking for. found after the Welcome Frogs to Clare event. Doing less multis than planned up here this trip, just running out of time. looks like i be driving back from Clare in the dark.
Awesome views and cache. WP2 badly affected by termites and difficult to read but we persisted and loved driving to the last point. Thanks for bringing us here
Super multi which had us retracing our steps but we really didn't mind as the views and drive round here are fab. A lot of work in this multi thank you! TFTC
Today we explored Penwortham and surrounds using Geocaching as a guide and picking up a few caches on the way with Roostaman and this was one of them. We enjoyed the trip around the back roads. An enjoyable multi and adding to our favourites. . An easy find at GZ.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

A cool fine Spring day for a drive around Auburn with Tassie Trekkers.
Not many muggles around today, and mostly good quick finds.
A favourite point from me for this one.

1st multi for the trip – we enjoyed this 1 – loved the drive & view – A BIG THANKS – as a AGC member & doing many trigs I loved the idea of this 1 - TFTC / TFTH / SL
I had an enjoyable time traipsing around the edges of the park. Nice little surprise waiting at the end. Now I wonder where this road will go. TFTC
The 4th and final of this series completed finally.
Started this one years ago, and never seemed to get around to finishing. Today was the day, and we were rewarded with an interesting drive to GZ along with a great cammo job with cache guardian to boot!

We opted to walk this one as we were saying at nearby Trestail Cottage - allow a good hour or so if on foot from first waypoint, more if you plan to do some traditional caches nearby. This is a fun and entertaining cache with lots of "twists and turns"... And look out for the nasty but hilarious surprise at GZ - TFTC
We enjoyed this multi. The coords are spot on, the containers are clever and the walk to GZ is good exercise, especially on the way back! TFTC team ransid!
Nice little multi. Love the container/setup. A simple idea but clearly some thought and planning. Love it! Whomever left the little "surprise" at GZ is mean and a little diabolically evil though! Lol
Easy multi. Now I know what a survey maker looks like, I will be able to attempt the others in the series.
Very glad the dirt road/ track was dry today. Only saw the cache guardian when I was replacing the log, thank goodness. TFTC. Cheers. A fav pt from me

Enjoyed the hunt thanks, but I think the previous finders left us quite the surprise!
Found as a part of TheKellyGang, writing this as a genaric log as I was a part of TheKellyGang and am now out on my own.
If you do not agree with this you are more than welcome to delete the log.

After completing our 2nd trip around Australia, we are now going up through the center.
Currently camped at Auburn, to cache around the area.
A good multi with clear instructions, and precise information, with a clever hide at the end.
Many thanks for the hunt today, team ransid.

With work bringing me back to Clare i met up with Chrispy and cached the Clare area for while before returning back to the big smoke, after getting the required info we took the VE down the summer track only, you wouldn't want to lose control on these roads lol, once at GZ chrispy was the one that exposed the guardian which provided a very loud laugh from me as it scared the hell out of him, very clever cache container and fave point awarded. TFTC
Out for a day with CPwanderer and Dr Owl in the Claire area, these are the logs of our adventures for the day.
We saw the start to this was close to another cache and though to give it a try. We found the 2 WPs easy enough, but with all the other caches we had planned didn't get too this one even though we were at one very close I see, but only as I do the logs, so I'll pass the TBs through.

RideTheGeoWalrus & I joined by muggle partner on our second day of caching the Clare valley region in order to find Locus cache's 5,000 find.
After a bit of searching were found the object we were searching for,
But not for the resident who gave us both a fright.
Very clever team ransid, fav point for included friend

Clare007, muggle partner and I headed out for the weekend to try and get me to my 5,000th locus cache smiley and on Sunday, we were joined by RideTheGeoWalrus, just to add to the fun
All up, at weekend's end, I had 67 smileys and only 2 DNFs and somewhere along the way, the magic 5,000th find happened
Drove some fun roads, found some great caches and just generally had a fantastic time geocaching, as usual!
This was a fun multi
I like that bit about looking for "something a surveyor may 'plant'"
I also really liked that road to GZ: twists, turns, views and a clever cache hide...it doesn't get much better than this

Found on a day trip away with clare007, locus cache and muggle partner, around the Clare district with the aim of reaching a few milestones. My count was 39 for the day, with an awesome bike ride through part of the RT to break up the day.
What was more fun than this multi? Watching locus and clare007 'jump' after making the find! TFTC team ransid!

On a caching run with Moneydork out for a day while he was staying in Clare for weekend TFTC
Was getting late in the day, had been to a couple of wineries and found a few caches in the area and decided to tackle this one as the last for the day. I am so glad I did. Really enjoyed finding the survey markers, and didn't hesitate when heading off down the "summer" track. No rain and everything looked OK. It was a great track with wonderful views. Found GZ retrieved, signed and replaced log. Thank you for a great experience team ransid and that deserves a favourite point. Will be tackling the other 3 tomorrow.
A clever hide, a bit of thought and effort earns a favourite from me. TFTC the last today before heading home to my caching widower!
Found It!
The integer part of the GZ longitude is 34. Turns out that if you use 36 it puts you in a place that looks very likely to be GZ but there isn't anything there...
Eventually I got to the correct GZ and I soon found the cache!

Heading home after cleaning up after the CCC II JLW event, grabbed a couple of quick cache's. Nice Hide.
Found during the June LWE event. Met Ian and Penny at the site. Mrs Gordon Patrick Samuel picked up the cache but the camo beat her. Closer inspection revealed the goods. Thanks for this cache.
Found during the June LWE activities.
The whole gang & Princess Consuela along today.
Quick find cause we sprung another team at GZ.

This was our RunCount0th real cache in our caching run today - and we found it at around 14:04.
(So this is our 43190th total find.)
We found this onein the company of Gordon Patrick Samuel. (Mrs GPS actually had it in her hand but didn't quite look hard enough.
Took: Nothing
Left: Nothing

Took me a few minutes at the first waypoint to work out what I was meant to be looking for, but after that it was smooth sailing. The drive to the final location was interestint in a 2WD, I'm just glad there hadn't been any rain for a while. I was tempted to keep going and see where the track went, but in the end I decided to take the opportunity to U-turn while I could. A great location though, so thanks for taking me there!
TNLN - Thanks Team Ransid!

Not found for 7 months its time to give this cache a little love. Really nice GZ, in fact we placed our Clare Event cache just down the hill a bit. Thanks Team Ransid, a favourite point from me.
A nice quiet drive along the Spring Gully park boundary and a beautiful day. Saw a big lizard at GZ, which scared the willies out of Mr Tardis as he thought is was a snake.
We will definately come back one day to explore the park. SL. TFTC.

Came back out Sunday morning to do this one. Excellent drive through the back roads. Added the CP as a must-do walk when we next come up. What a wonderful view from GZ. Had a 4WD, so loved the road. TFTC.
We gathered the clues for the final GZ back in January this year, but as we were in Mrs J's Viva, thought we'd best tackle it in a more suitable vehicle. Today we were doing a couple of walks in Spring Gully CP, and we had the Hilux!
We followed the track from the lookout right down to the farm at the other end before heading home to Wallaroo. Cache itself was an easy find of course, in it's expected cammo. It seems like we've been putting these Survey caches off for ages, now all logged within a week. Top stuff!
Thanks Team Ransid.

Rated: for Overall Experience
This took me down a road I have not been down for 20 years and not much has changed except the road is a lot better condition,in the past this was truely a 4wd or motorcycle track not a road like this.tftc
Just over 6 months since we last came up here and there was no problem with wet, slippery roads today, or the track being blocked off [^].
Pulled up close to GZ and spotted the now familiar feature.
TNLNSL.
Drove on down the serpentine road section before making a u-turn and on to find more caches. Amazing how steep the hills are just across the gully from here .
Thanks Team Ransid.

Couldn't get to GZ today as the track to it was blocked off with a temporary fence at the grid, presumably for stock. Will try again another time.
We enjoyed this cache. Fortunately the roads had dried out sufficiently that we could drive all the way to GZ. We will have to come back another time and inverstigate the park some more.
Thanks for bringing us here Team Ransid.

The last in the series for me and definately the most fun [^]
Drive to GZ was spectacular and the views were nice as well once you get there.
Cheers & TFTH.

We found WP1 & 2 today, but weren't game to drive down the 'Summer Track' after all the rain we'd had (no time to walk it either), especially after driving over some dodgy roads earlier in the day (which were supposed to be all weather roads ).
Have actually driven down that track several years ago, but it was dry and dusty then.
We'll be back when the rain's stopped for a couple of weeks [^].
Our first 'When I survey' cache and really like the concept.
Thanks for bringing us back here Team Ransid and we'll be back to finish this off .

Gathered the clues and reached GZ. A fantastic multi and great drive. This ones going straight to the pool room . Thx Team Ransid for a top cache
Loves your series also so beauty view as well. SL. Thanks Team Ransid for organising the cache and hunt.
Found it at 4.10 pm. Well what a little ripper this was. Great idea!! Went on this one with my wife and Murf66's wife. They weren't keen to do a multi as I had been designated driver for a few wineries and at this point in the afternoon they just wanted to get home. However after we got into it they were away. And what a spectacular view getting to GZ. Very well done. Thanks Guys.
Had fun with this one. Enjoyed the drive to it. Signed Log. Thanks team ransid.
Had been out this way before- please not to have to walk like we did the last time. Tricky hide
This was the first of the series that we tackled. And I reckon it was the best. Absolutely loved your concept, and this one showed us some great scenery. We are looking forward to returning to the Conservation Park in winter or spring to do the walks and to find the other cache hidden in there. Thanks for a very enjoyable drive.
An interesting track, great view and a great cache. We even managed to find a place that sold cherries while we were heading out to the cache. What a bonus s33 54 178 and e138 35 511 if you want some.
Will have to return in a real 4 wheel drive and see where this track leads too.
I don't think it could be done in a Pajero.
I am making a sign on the back of Freddo's cars
Don't follow me, I won't make it
Thanks Team ransid

Our first attempt at this cache was unsuccessful. We had worked out some coords for gz but we missed the access track. After talking to Skippy and Freddo we decided to return and try again.
Ah, that track! What a great track it was too. Wonder where it went to? Thanks Team Ransid for a great multi.

This was our last to find in this series.
We think it was one of the best series that we have done. The concept was imaginative, there was consistency throughout, and the terrain rating was realistic. Congratulations Team Ransid.
SL
Thanks again Team Ransid, we also enjoyed your other caches in the Clare Valley.

Boy do I need a 4WD but geoCommodore done it again. Very interesting area and thanks to Team Ransid for a great theme for the Survey caches... thoroughly enjoyed them all. Tks guys
Gathered all the info for this one today to finish off when we come back to do #5 in the series after running out of time today [^] muggle husband found the grave of a South Australian Surveyor General this afternoon ... would make a good starting point if you wanted to extend the series to 6 [?] postiegirl06 will be back in a couple of weeks time !
Nice little multi that had us prepped well for the rest of the series. Nice to see Spring Gully bouncing back from the bushfire.
What a great little cache. Have driven this road before but happy to do so again. Thanks Team Ransid
The wonderful smell of lavender, eucalyptus, jonquils, and red flowering tulips and mistletoe bring back so many memories…. Sadly the cottage where AstroSue was born is now a ruin, but the white lilies and jonquils her mother planted as a young bride, are still there.
Clear skies and our thanx to Team Ransid from TeamAstro. A bonus for a [orange] Bronze podium [/orange] added to the delight of the view near here (pic)[^]
We were to end up doing all the Survey caches today, and this one was by far the best in terms of countryside and scenery. The final location was a toss-up between a drive by or a walk to. Although the day was a rainy one, the area around GZ hadn’t seen any yet and we risked the taking the Commode down the “Summer Road†[^].
The scenery there was SPECTACULAR and the sun came out long enough to get some great photos down and across the valley. Thanks for bringing us here Team Ransid
