Finally found by 6 year old geokid today, a year after our first failed effort here ! I still would not have found it either, as it had floated away from its hide and was laying amidst a tangle of bushes, no doubt after last years flood !! Happy to have made the find after the long walk, and had an exciting adventure walking out the other way. 7 Kangas to keep us company !! See maintenance log....

We have removed the cache and absolutely water soaked and the destroyed log to try and dry it out. Please advise if u would like to place a new cache there, or if u would like us to do it, maybe a bit bigger one ?

Totally impossible, too many trees, certainly there is no path. Not sure whether wearing thongs and shorts is such a good idea for this cache - thought we were from Survivor but didn't pull through too well.

Omg searched for half hour but to no avail!!!!!

Oh dear, oh dear
When I was riding down the bike path we saw a very patch of water.
The cache 'Thats where I'll Be' is underwater and this cache might be to Sad

30-Apr-12
After grabbing ScrubX3 decided to walk down the bikeway and see if I could see any signs regarding the status of this area. Found a gate with a sign stating that to treat the area with respect but nothing about prohibiting entry so decided to head for GZ. After a lot of zigging and zagging and following the roo tracks came to GZ. Spent about 15 minutes looking at what I thought would be the paperbark tree. WRONG. I was about to head back mumbling to myself when I thought I'll just see if I can get the GPSr to go below 5m. Sure enough it did and spotted the cache straight away. Could have saved myself a lot of frustration by listening to the GPSr, but no, I knew better!!! TFTC autumnleaf

We loved finding this one. Searching in late April meant I wasn't as worried about snakes as I would have been in Summer. Thanks for the great find.

16-Apr-12
we found this cache a while ago after walking about 300m through scrub.
the log was a bit damp but looked like it would dry out.

16-Apr-12
Well that was an adventure...took the bunny boys and we went for a sunset hike ! First mistake...never go in the evening, we ran out of time and with no torch had to make a run for it ! Loved the spot, but couldnt find the cache with only the shonky GPS on my phone. No way close enough and had us going in circles. Gave up after thirty minutes of searching, very disappointed. Saw Mr Fox and thought it was time to go before we were eaten ! Having now looked on Google Maps and having a much better idea,we may brave the trek again this arvo.....

11-Dec-11
We arrived at the suggested parking location only to find that there was no path in to the area there, and with the signs saying it was a bush for life area, we decided that it was not appropriate for us to be trampling our own path through to GZ.

We tried another way in off of the bike path, but found signs there, and again no access.

Not really sure if it's a good idea for people to be trampling through an area that is being protected, so we left it, and sadly wont worry about coming back as we didn't feel that this was right to climb a fence and trample a path to GZ.

09-Nov-11
Found it with my geo/fishing/camping/4WD'ing pal "How Do They Know?". Rummaged through the undergrowth from the bikeway. Agree with the previous logger. Needs a new log as the old one is full and tattered. Thanks for the nice walk autumleaf.

This was a bit of an adventure. We came in from the "wrong" end after another cache find on the boardwalk and got scratched, prickled and even stood on a small twig with evil thorns that pierced my sneaker. Loved it all though! TFTC autumnleaf.

16-Jun-11
Now this was an adventure and a half. Came in from the bikeway. Over trees, under trees, around trees. Spent a bit of time at GZ before making the find. Spotted the paperbark amongst the forest of paperbarks. I think a slightly bigger container would be more appropriate (and fairer). TFTC autumleaf.

This one was so much fun to find!! I think we approached it the hard way but it was the kind of place we would have loved to explore when we were kids.

21-May-11
Staying in a nearby shack(big house build for their family) with our Mothers and Baby's group, needing some time out I grabbed one of the other fathers and we went for a two minute drive to the eastern side of the reserve.
It was my muggle companion that made the discovery of a discarded cache just thrown under a tree. After signing the log book I placed it under an appropriate tree and coved with a few sticks.

Loved the walk into and out from this cache.

Looked and looked for this one but didn't find it. The hint was of little use as there are many paper bark trees in the vicinity of GZ.

22-Jan-11
Must admit on a warmorning I was wondering what I was doing out here in the middle of nowhere, but GZ was a truly special place
Thanks for the cache and expereince autumleaf

I do agree with irac about a micro way out here but it was exactly where my gps took us,all I can say is thankyou for using a white container.tftc

29-Jul-10
Lovely walk on a fine day ruined by a frustrated search for a MICRO way out here!!
Either your co-ords were way off or it's gone. Gave it a really good search.
Thanks for the walk anyway.

25-Jul-10
Very hard to get to but when we got to GZ it was a very easy find.

25-Jul-10
One of the more challenging finds for us. Came through from Middleton end.
TFTC.

TFTC Great walk on a cold day,

08-Jul-10
Due to navigational issues, we didn't locate the listed parking spot, so like others, we trekked our way over from the bikeway. I much prefer this style of bushbashing to the Qld style! No cobblers pegs!! TFTC autumleaf

23-Apr-10
Out for the day with Trail06 and we came over from the other nearby cache.

After bush bashing our way over we quickly found the cache and were on our way.

Spotted a large roo on the way back to the car.

As Team Waldron said, we were out for the day and we came over from the other nearby cache.

The bush bashing was fun although the terrain often had us wondering if the cache was going to be too well hiddden. Fortunately the GPS took us right to the cache and we were on our way.

Spotted a large roo on the way back to the car.

Quite a bit of bush bashing to get to this cache just to find its only big enough for the log. As previous cache-rs have suggested a larger container that can take Bugs & GC might be better, still a good walk anyway.
Thanks for the cache!

A cold and windy morning was an ideal day to cross this one off our list, followed the bikeway like other cachers and followed animal trails to GZ, startled a few kangaroos and dismantled several spider webs along the way, pity the cache size was so small as it would be a great place for a trackable TFTC

Another weekend at the seaside!
We followed the arrow, yep into the seaside scrub, this cache was placed on our wedding day so it was good to find, but like the others a small sistema could easilly be used here and TB would rest safely. We took the way out via the other cache claose by.

We enjoyed the treck to this one, but had the same reaction as shushilord - why a micro here? Thank you for the journey, though. Once again, not one we would have taken without a cache to lure us.

23-Jan-10
My UBD maps shows the bike trail passing next to this cache so I decided to park at the end of the trail. Like TiedyeSmilies I parked at the end of the bike trail and started walking only to find that the trail went no where near the cache, so through the gate I went. It was an interesting experience walking into the cache, following animal tracks that went in the approximate direction of the GPSr arrow. Suprisingly the cache was easily found, but why put a micro in the middle of coastal scrub?

I used the cookie trail on the GPSr to get out, even following it I found I was veering off track significantly.

23-Jan-10
Found It!
It was fun just walking through the scrub as the GPS lead me into "walls" of trees!
pasted by an old car (how did it get out here?) and a childs "home made" cubby house!
Then treked on to "That's where i'll be" cache.

Decided to look for approaching dusk. Not recommended. Also don't recommend doing in shorts or hot weather looked a good area for slippery, scaley creatures. It was an adventure was pumped when i found just as getting dark. Interesting walk back out.

29-Dec-09
We hadn't read the description on this and so made life interesting.
We parked where the bike path met the road and walked along the trail thinking that it must bend soon to the cache. Mmmm. Oh well, we went down to the Thats where I'll be cache. While there, we finally read the description and realised we needed to bush bash. Went back up closer, then headed cross country. Fun just trusting in the old GPS and heading through noman's land.

My first cache find using just the GPS, lots of fun and prickles!!

TFTC Autumnleaf a great challenge.

07-Nov-09
We saw one reptile, a sleepy lizard. Not one for shorts, thongs, dogs or kids!

07-Sep-09
When you are there you would wonder why Muggles are walking their dog about 50m away???
Cheers from the Posspet Boys

GPS said distance to cache 160mtrs, actual walked distance to cache via the route I took 1600mtrs. Boy did we make hard work of that!! Red Face

We chose the long way around here and made hard work of this cache, and did a few circles. Glad we had the GPS to find our way out again!! Glad to have this cache finally off the map though.

6th find of the day and 1823rd total find at 12:00.

It's not often that we get to go caching this far from home, but as we are both very fortunate to have a couple of weeks off - - -. By good planning or design this cache was on our list.

A nice walk, but we definitely recomment long trousers. Penny wore 3/4 pants - Ouch!!

Took: Nothing
Left: Nothing (Screwdriver wouldn't fit)
Thanks Autumleaf for the cache.

We walked along the beach until the arrow was pointing to GZ. We didn't have to trample on so much vegetation by going this way. A few march flies around - well it IS March! Saw on dead sleepy near GZ but no live wildlife - Thank Goodness says Mrs Klem! SL. TFTC Autumleaf

Brought the wife who is a master Micro Cache finder! and indeed she did find it!! I can't belive where it was though, as during my previous search for this one, I must of put my foot right next to it!!!!! Great location and great little hide and find!

Wife was busy today, so I went this one alone. After making my way through the scrub and getting the fright of my life when I heard a "Sissss'ing" sound, (saw no snake though?!?) I found the area where the cache was. I looked high and low with no luck. I will be back with the wife to find this one!

08-Mar-09
Even though there was only a micro waiting at the end, This was one of the best caches we tried all day [^]. We loved the fact that there was no trail to this one and enjoyed the wander through the sand hills. We meandered to the highest point to suss out the location of any paperbarks and spotted the large stand of them in the distance. From there we followed the arrow to them and found the cache without trouble. TFTC Autumn Leaf. Cheers Big Grin.

Found quickly on Australia Day on a round trip from Northern Adelaide to Goolwa and back. Beautiful day and lots of great things seen. TFTC.

Those grass seeds in the socks were a pesky bother. Found cache ok though, Thanks.

09-Jan-09
Well, didn't exactly like the walk as baggy is ophidiophobic and it was a warm day, but found the cache none the less.

29-Dec-08
No snakes today but plenty of burs.
Luck for me my approach brought me right up to the cache hide and I didn't have to search for it.

10-Dec-08
Reading previous logs was interesting but I managed to make three good crucial decisions here. Perhaps decades of bushwalking paid off. First I made a middling decision that got me easily near to the cache, then I made a southing decision that got me very close indeed, and finally I made an around decision that had me walk right up to the cache. So it can be done! Thanks Autumnleaf for the challenge.

09-Dec-08
I was walking around in circles as my Gpsr was playing up. When I finally arrived at GZ, I found it with no problem. I saw a huge kangaroo and it scared me. My clothes was filthy when I went back to my car because of rain. Anyway I enjoyed myself.
Thanks Autumleaf for the cache. Smile

23-Oct-08
A nice mild spring evening for paperless caching, but I barked up the wrong tree, then I barked down the wrong tree, then i barked around the wrong tree, then I barked under the wrong tree. I would have been heard to say: "%$&$#@#$ micro in a clump of trees!" but there were no trees falling in the forest to hear me. Eventually I went back to basics and MOG that should have been easy. No carpet of moss now that we're into a dry spring. Only Prickles and burrs and spikes and throns and grass seeds and grabbies and tearies. Not sure this will be so nice a place to go in summer when its the height of snake season. TFTC.

28-Sep-08
Didn't read the cache description before heading out to this one and tried to follow the path that was there! Had to cut through, I'm sure there was an easier way! TFTC

28-Sep-08
Found 14:30, 16th of 24 FFTD. Made the same meal of this that Freddo and Astro made of it. did quite a bit of BB to get to this one. Lots of ants and lizards on the way to and from the cache. Quick find once at the GZ another great day out caching with Chizbeki. Took the lives of several over ambitious aggressive ants, Left their withering bodies lying amongst their buddies, SL. TFTC.

21-Sep-08

I think we did this the slightly harder way - path, gate, bushes. Easy find at GZ, but getting there was 90% of the fun. A few bees around which made you back track. Found the local residence but no one was home. We bee lined it [^] through their living room back to the path. Seemed to be a trail there so that was an easy out.

Clear skies and our thanx to Autumleaf for the walk in the sea side park. Smile Never saw the sea. [:o)]

21-Sep-08
Made a meal of this one. Roos and Bees were seen in the vicinity of the cache.

Cache found in the first place I looked. I have my mojo back. Woopee.

12-Sep-08
We initially approached from the wrong side - so after reading the cache notes we did it the way it was meant to be done. We picked our way around the vegetation in the reserve and a short while later arrived at a clump of beautiful old paperbarks. The cache was easily located. Thanks Autumleaf

06-Sep-08
Lovely walk in natural bushland on a sunny spring day with lots of birds and kangaroos. TNLN TFTC. Lead'n Lace

31-Aug-08
Managed to find and also our way back out. Moss carpet didn't give wife's face plant a soft landing. If you saw anyone driving around Goolwa / Hindmarsh Island with a bag of frozen peas on their brow that was us. Nothing deters these cachers!!!! Frozen peas $2.30 from local supermarket.

30-Aug-08
I had a nery nice little walk along the beach then into the reserve to find this cache.
You've got to be lucky sometimes and I was as I walked straight to the cache & found it in the very first place I looked Red Face I can see how some may have to search for ages though!
Cheers, TFTC.

20-Aug-08
This was to be our 6th today, but alas, not to be!

A micro in the bush, with no paths! mmmmmmmmm Not good for a stroller today, not today gungadin, another day...

09-Aug-08
Had a trip planned to the South Coast today but when we got notification of a new cache in the area we decided to make a quick departure at 07:15!
Found the GZ and cache at 09:00. An easy find in a delightful spot and a gold to boot. Is this Australia’s first Gold medal?

Found by Barry and Beryl at 2.25 pm
Unfortunately not first to find on this cold and windy afternoon. We are glad it is not summer as it is a grassy way in. We did come after a heavy shower of rain and it did take a while to find as we have got used to getting to within 1 or 2 metres of gz however this was still good at 6 metres away from our gz
