Was to be our(with cam_777 and LimmyB.) 5th find of our Arapuni caching afternoon. Searched and searched. GZ was unclear on our GPS but looked high and low all around. Either deceived by another nano or it is gone which is most likely as others have had DNF's.
Oops forgot to log this one, it must have be the wild geo rooster wandering around gz. The cache is badly damaged at of 1 month ago. It needs repairs.
Not for me today, sorry. Area looks tidy so maybe it's been cleaned up by accident?
Managed to catch a moment when nobody was around. Cache was exposed, tried to cover it up.
A lovely park and find. Spent 3 days in the area for school holidays. TFTC. Never Bean hear before but very keen to return.
lovely area camping at jones landing with friend and fellow cacher, lovely day for it T4TC
Thanks for this, lovely so spot with the dams here. On our family Xmas holiday, the paper log is very soggy, didn't write in it. Cheers

Damp ragged log
Visiting from UK. Hired a sleeper car and travelling round the north island seeing the sights, visiting a few friends over here and hopefully picking up a few caches. Been up north and seen some wonderful sights, done some walking and learnt some information about the country and it's inhabitants. Came back to our friend in Auckland. Went to the Bunker Folk club at Devonport Monday night, excellent. Set off for Gisborn to see more friends and see sights, including the Coromandel. Saw some very interesting places and met some lovely people . From Gisborne to Napier and Lake Taupo, Whakapapa very cold and wet. Stayed at Waitomo, lovely site. Geohubby is getting fed up of me asking him to stop for a cache so I thought he would appreciate this title, but no, he sat in the camper while I retrieved it. TFTC

First cache of the year. Stopped for lunch on the long way home. Easy to find by the big dam. Great walk to see the dam wall.
Hmm. Don't know about ethics of logging this one cos I placed it as mrs q some years ago. Logbook damp. Tftc
We actually passed by as the construction traffic controllers sent us over the dam, so the cache was a fun excuse to drive over the 3 times in total & a welcome little pitstop on the very long drive home. Hopped out & made a quick easy find as the cache was right at GZ but actually laying out in the open; tried to make it stay in place a bit better... the log was a bit damp & the TB is definitely missing, so perhaps could be marked as such/removed from inventory
TFTC!

On the way to Te Awamutu today. GPS was about 10m out this morning but I finally found it.
Easy park and grab. All we had to do was remain hidden from a coach loads of muggles, who had stopped for a comfort break. TFTC
Found originally as part of rebel98 team, now created own account, re-logging as rustynz
See rebel98 log below, exploring the nearby dam, and collecting a few caches along the way. Thanks again for the hide.

Clever hide, had us fooled, but thought and looked a little harder, and the cache was found.
Quick find on my way to waitomo caves. Nice spot - I had a good walk around. The chickens are quite friendly!! Day 17 of the August challenge complete and I believe it's international geocaching day! TFTC.

Had a bit of trouble with the hint and a muggle who was sitting in a car but managed to retrieve after wandering around. TFTC
5.30pm. Advanced along the wrong side of the diverson race initially due to a total absence of local knowledge. Soon realised our mistake and drove on a yard or two to where we should have parked up in the first place. No trouble after that.

Found the cache quickly, as it was out in the open. Some of the previous logs were from Muggles, who thought they had found someones P stash. Dug a bit of a hole behind the spade and dropped it in, so only the top was showing.
Thanks quinella.
Thanks quinella.
A detour back to the motel with Casserly Familly to find some more caches while working in Sth Waikato. Quickly spotted this one - not well covered left it better hidden. TFTC
Found it on our way to the next campsite. TFTC
No coin inside.

I was suffering temporary blindness and it would have been DNF but luckily my better half has found it immediately when he arrived at GZ. Thank you, didn't expect it would be so simple.
Excellent concealment and construction. A quick stop, and then off again. TFTC quinella
Good hide had us scratching our heads for awhile, the spade gave it away! TFTC
#3561. Great views of the dam and river. Unfortunately, Glücks-Herz TB was not in the cache. TNLNSL. TFTC.
Had to dodge inbetween a couple of muggles family's using the nearby facilities. Managed the search and sign, before I was spoted.
Tired out from the Gnarly tramp this is just what I needed, a short easy trek to GZ and then 10m back to the car. TFTK
Couldn't believe we were nearly parked on top of the cache when I turn on the GPS. Five metre walk and then soon spotted it. Stopped here to go for a short run on the Waikato river trail 5pm between the rain showers. Very pleasant run to Jones Landing with some good grunty hills. Pleased I chose to run this section and not bike it! TFTC
Raining steadily now. Too wet and uncomfortable to do any more. This one had us puzzled... What the heck is a 'spade'? Turned out to be quite obvious in the end. TFTC.
Found on the return trip from a days climbing over near Wharepapa South.....had to wait for some phone reception to come in and out and in and out.....to get the details as I wasn't expecting to stop.....quick find....and the clue made sense only after finding the cache......wood for the trees.....durrrr

Tired legs today due to Mr Quinella, so were pleased to find a kind park'n'grab. TFTC
Mrs Dragon had quiet the sentiment as I had made a little detour and onlynot rearly discussed it, TFTC
We stopped only to correct the direktion just next the cache. Easy find.
Thanks for the Cache. Greetings from Switzerland.
