Hi everyone taking this listing off line while there is some local work being done Please note it maybe off line for some time
In Dimmy today to grab a few supplies and ended up working out this multi while I was here. A nice straight forward find today thanks honeysucker. With my gps in hand and carefully treading close to the gz I made sure I had it firmly in my grasp as I did not want to drop it. TFTC.
Found as part of the record run to SA by The Demolition Crew (TDC). While, I am not a member of the TDC, I was fortunate enough to be caching with Blacklegend, Quasar3671, Trailrunning and Rebel Acts on what was for me, a huge adventure.
As I live with Blacklegend, it was fantastic when he said "Do you want to come to South Australia on a huge caching trip". I jumped at the chance, as I'd never been to S.A. or Adelaide, and it was a fantastic feeling to know I was going to be part of something big, and I was.
To be part of the Australian 24 hour record, at such an early stage in my caching career, so to speak, and part of so many other finds, was experience building beyond anything I could have hoped for.
****************
This was the first day of the trip, and it was great to be able to find some caches that I would never normally be able to get to. There was a a mixed bag of finds including Multis, Traditionals and a fantastic Earthcache. The drive was fun with lots of laughs and high spirits.
****************
Due to the extremely high number of finds for the trip, and on Blacklegend's advice and with his assistance, I have also gone with the generic logs. As the others have stated, it in no way takes away from the fantastic and enjoyable hides we found on the trip. As Blacklegend and the other have said, my sincere thanks to all cache owners who placed and maintain their caches, and made this trip possible for our group. TFTC, memories and the experience.

This cache was found during The Demolition Crew with Ponty95 24 hour and 1000 caches in 48 hours record breaking challenge caching run in South Australia.
I've been on quite a few caching road trips during my time as a cacher and this one was one of the best. The idea was to see how many caches we could find in 24 hours, with the goals being to break the Australian 24 hour caching record, and then continue on the next day to see if we could eventually find a total of 1000 caches or more in the 48 hours. Needless to say we did manage to fulfill both goals.
Not only does SA have some lovely contryside and Adelaide itself is famous for its churches, SA is also known for its numerous, extensive and well laid out cache 'powertrails'. The OZ Mega, OZ Signal and the Wandering Heros series of caches in particular are the largest and just a few of the many that can be tackled. With this is mind, TDC started planning the 24 hour challenge caching run back in late 2012, and over a period of many, many months we laid out careful plans on how we were going to break the Australian 24 hour caching record, as well as find as many caches as possible while on the road.
The intricate attention to detail proved to be esssential to us completing our goals. With routes planned, essential supplies loaded (especially museli bars, water and energy drinks) and every cache detail documented, we headed off on the 6th to begin our journey. By the end we had accomplished what we had set out to do, smashing the 24 hour record and finding over 1000 caches in the 48 hours. We had an absolute ball and needless to say were knackered by the end but the final result was worth every hours lack of sleep.
Apart from finding many 'stand alone' caches we did manage to complete the OZ Mega, Oz Signal, Wandering Heros, TDF, APM and PSA series, the 40, 50 and 60 series of caches as well as a number of Adelaide puzzle caches and a few Melbourne - Adelaide multi caches.
Due to the number of cache finds and the resulting number of logs to write, I am reluctantly using a generic log to log each cache. The same goes for my fellow TDC cachers and Ponty95, full appreciation goes out to each of the CO's who placed caches that we found, and without your caches our fantastic caching experience would not have come to fruition.
Thanks, Quasar3671.

When the Wandering Series was first published it had been on the agenda of The Demolition Crew, however we were not able to arrange a time when all of us could go over. Fortuitously as time went by, more trails were published. Upon looking more closely at South Australia recently, there were many more power trails than we realised, and a plan was hatched to go over and grab as many caches as we could. We were all finally able to arrange a mutual time during the Easter school holidays, so the planning stages began.
Given the limited amount of time available to us, and so many caches to grab, we realised that a huge effort was going to be needed to grab them all. Rebel Acts being known for his record breaking 24 hour runs suggested that we try a 24 hour run of our own. Now there was a thought, a challenge in fact we readily accepted. A bit more planning (a lot more actually) and a route was chosen and run sheets drawn up.
With all the puzzles solved, and most of the multi's these caches were reduced to traditionals for the run day. With cars packed, stamps made, and spirits high we made our way to South Australia to find some plastic.
Saturday was the day we headed west, with a high number of caches en-route, we grabbed as many as we could from west of Ballarat to Tailem Bend. It was a fun day, and a good opportunity to fine tune the car setups and communications between cars. We rolled into Murray Bridge in the late afternoon and checked into our accommodation before heading out for a well deserved hot meal and cold drink before bed.
While I am using a generic log, it does not detract my appreciation of all the CO's who have put the time into placing and maintaining these caches. To each and every one of you, I thank you for being part of what has been the best cache road trip yet. Thank you!

The cache was found as part of A massive cache run to South Australia with TDC Members Trailrunning, Quasar3671 and Blacklegend and a ring in Ponty95. It had taken us time to get this all together, finally a date was set and planning was started, I learnt one thing from my late mate dak's Emu Mob AKA Dave Kruger "Proper Planning prevents piss Poor Performance" he always said. Trailrunning was our master planner on this trip. I did this as part of a team but I also did it as a tribute to dak. having set the Australian Record twice before the question was, does the Rebel still have what it takes, I think the answer for that was yes. The challenge had been set down on FB "could the TDC find over 500 in a day, well we took up the challenge and headed to the power trail capital of Australia.

Found as part of the Demolition Crew record run to South Australia with fellow TDC members Quasar3671, Trailrunning, Rebel Acts and a guest on the trip, Poynts95.
The trip was a fair while in the making, and many aspects had to align to make it happen, including all of us getting the time to go. However, the "stars aligned" so to speak for us, and the trip was on. A date was set and much planning engaged, and when I say much, I mean a very large amount. We had an old saying where I used to work, and that was "Failing to be prepared, is being prepared to fail", so, we prepared, and prepared and prepared.
With a challenge set, being, could The Demolition Crew find over 500 caches in 24 hours, we headed forth to South Australia, the magical land of power trails, and over the duration of the trip, found in excess of 1250 caches, and indeed, easily beat the goal on our record day. Importantly too, we had a great time together.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Saturday was the first day, and day we headed westwards. We collected a large number of caches on the trip towards Murray Bridge. A great first day to the trip, some equipment was tested, the cache finding senses put into gear, and some fun was had between cars on the radio equipment. Spirits were high on arrival, but some rest and a meal was in order when we got there.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Due to the extremely high number of finds for the trip, I am opting for a generic log, which I never normally do, but as the others have stated, it in no way detracts from the high quality of hides we found on the trip. My sincere thanks to all cache owners who placed and maintain their caches, and made this trip possible for our group. You have all been part of the best caching road trip we have yet made. TFTC and the memories.

Camped out of town with our caravan owners club, we had the luxury of collecting the numbers yesterday and doing the arithmetic carefully back in the van. So today we sallied forth, found the spot and, with the coords spot-on, soon had the cache in hand at 11.25 am. Looking at previous logs, we wonder if there has been 'cache creep' because it wasn't that difficult. Also the hint doesn't quite fit. Disappointingly, there are no TBs, in fact there is nothing but the logbook. Maybe we'll return tomorrow to add a couple of items. Note to Flipper & Co whose log refers to releasing the TBs. So - TNLNSL - TFTC honeysucker, we enjoyed doing it and appreciate the history on the cache page.
It has been a while since I have been to Dimboola.
I used to visit regularly as a kid in the skool holidays.
Since it was bypassed many years ago, much of the life of the towne seems to have drained away
Buildings and shops are empty and even the olde pub is derelict !!
So it is good to have a few geocaches to get me back here for a poke around
One business does seem to be thriving though... the Dimboola Grain Centre is busy as !!
Meanwhile back at the starting point for this cache, I had been jinxed already by the cache notes.
The simple arthmatic that any chid can do turned out to be a bit tough for me
My first calculations had me following the road out to the edge of the national park to a place that obviously did not hide a cache.
Back to towne
Second attempt put me in steam train park [:o]
C'mon brain !!
Third time at the sign and armed with a calculator, I finally got a set of coords that put me at a place that I would expect to find this cache
The cache was a nice easy find now I was at the right place [^]
I didn't drop it either

with Patrick.Daddato found this Cache. Nice box. Thanks for the Cache from Germany.
Day 2 of our trip across to South Australia to tackle some of the power trails and series over there. We spent a bit of time in Dimboola collecting the local offerings and managed not to make any mistakes with our computations - always a relief with these sorts of multis.

Getting out of the house for the day with geo dad, child and dog. A few quick calcs and nice easy find. Let the dog go for a walk. Almost tempting to push dad in!!!!
Found this one today in it's slightly precarious position with Sully1, who had previously found it.
Thanks again Gaz and Deb for some local history, and another quality cache

Found by Mary & David at 0830. Loved this one. With our eyesight no longer as it was, and the sun over the sign, we had fun trying to focus on a specific city. Managed to do it and not make any maths errors! A good start to the day, and we loved the final location Our thanks again to honeysucker.
On way to Adelaide from Maldon.
Enjoy this multi..
Interesting to see how far each country.
Nice easy find
Thanks honeysucker for the hunting and cache

Collected the clues while passing through Dimboola late last year and had already calculated the GZ coordinates. Very nice to claim the cache on my way back to Adelaide after spending a few days in Melbourne. Thanks honeysucker!
Several creeks were crossed on our travels but only one creek to complete this multi, although with recent floodings the retrieval of the cache terrain may have changed slightly, luckilly no sliping into the creek occurred today TFTC Honeysucker
Our first port of call after spending the night at Horseshoe Bend and then down to GZ and a nervous retrieval. TFTC.
Just a short way from where we are staying thank you so much for all honeysucker
At WP1. the colour of the text on the background meant that you had to be at the right angle to collect the required information. the calculations were easy. Once at the final waypoint, a quick find was made. TFTC honeysucker
Good old GZ. Terrain more like a **. River full!

Fun cache our kids love signs like this. drjim7 missed the cache on the first pass but luckily I spotted it on the second look. Interesting container which I managed to completely disassemble the perfectly reassemble.
Replaced with permission. We were discussing the sign and the numbers over tea. A little bit of monkey bars found that there was no cache to be found.
We spent ages at the sign figuring the numbers. Some of them were broken off and I thought that one critical had gone. Nope, just needed to look harder with the torch. No one was around so it was good. Quite relaxing after a nice Parmy at the pub (Thur night is 2 4 1 night)
We ended up at GZ somehow and no cache was found. A quick call to the owner and we are pretty sure it was not there after a good look. Replaced with permission as it will be a time until it can be replaced. Clear skies and a big thanx to honeysucker for the Dimmy experience!

We went to do this one about a year ago and we had only just started Geocaching so we didn't know what a multi cache was. We came back today on our way through to the desert to figure it out. A nice easy multi to work out - now that we know what we're doing. TFTCSL Left mighty bean.
cache has totally gone in the floods plus its hidie hole so will have to relocate and rework this one
Due to the recent floods i will be Disabling all my caches in this area until i have checked them out sorry for any inconvenience

Mogni and I searched and searched and searched and searched but didn't find it... suspect that it may have washed away? Either that or our maths was up the creek...
Initially messed up with the calculations required to get the GZ coordinates. Took me way off course! After realising my mistake & re-calculating, it took me right to the spot. This made more sense! Found the cache quickly then and signed log. TNLN TFTC

Out with local cacher today (Honeysucker) to clear up some of these country caches.
A quick grab of the clues and we were soon on the way to the final GZ.
A through search soon had the cache in hand and the CO told me it had moved from the original location.

Nice easy find, co-ordinates were spot on. Slippery in the wet and nearly fell in TNLNSL TFTC.
Did the sums and then headed over to the nearby bakery for breakfast before going to GZ.

had to go back on the second day to find this after the sunset. found easily but on the other side of the road. after climbing under we finally found it. found by group members: Del & Kay. TFTC!
It all seemed straightforward. This was another of those multi's where a one's mathematical ability is tested. So what if it was a transcription problem this time , we drove off to the supposed GZ, realised we needed to check the results and found we were 60-70 meters off . EuDes should have checked ALL my sums. Anyway at the "true" GZ, Alsume looked a bit hesitant approaching from an interesting angle so saved him the trouble and collected the container at 3:35pm. TNLN Thanks again honeysucker.
With our monthly bushwalk done and dusted, it was time to head back to the ranch for the traditional post-walk barbie – but not before a few caches of course . This was the next on our list so we collected the required info, made the 'calculations', headed to GZ, did the recalculation , and headed to the real GZ where we soon had the stash in hand at 15:35. Say no moooore !!
TNLNSL. Thanks honeysucker.
TNLNSL. Thanks honeysucker.
While we were collecting the info for this one, several jokes were made about LinearZZ's arithmetic ability on previous occasions - but somehow he had the pencil again . After we couldn't find anything at 'GZ', we discovered that reading his own writing was also a problem . With all that settled we were only 60m away and the cache was quickly in LinearZZ's hand at 3:35pm [I think that relieved his embarassment somewhat ].

Had to check the maths once and then go to the correct GZ instead of looking in some random tree stumps. The bank is very steep and Craig was rather nervous of leaning out to get the cache. Minibaby and I stood clear of the edge and let him get on with it.
Pulled up and had a mental block as to what i was looking for. Soon woke up and found what i needed. TFTC. TNLN. SL.
My second go at this one after the cache had been muggled the first time. I went straight to my GZ and the cache was in the second place I looked. Thanks to honeysucker for the cache and it was great to see water in the river!
Found on the way home from the Oz Mega Wagga Event. I approached last night in the dark and thought it had better wait until morning... so it was a 7.30am find on a Sunday morning.
Found as part of our Ozmega tour

A sign like this is begging to be turned into a multi-cache. We enjoyed a quick look up and down the main street before heading to the cache. Once again a pleasant spot with the presence of water. We liked the look of the boat downstream and wonder how far it ventures. Left a marble took nil, SL TFTC
Been a while since I have been into Dimboola, usually just divert past.
Collected all the numbers (some big numbers there!), and did the calculations.
Found myself at a nice stop, with a cache in hand.

Found by Roma and Max.
We gathered the necessary numbers at the posted co-ordinates and then managed to make our search much more difficult than you intended by a miscalculation.
However this soon revealed itself and we were back on track to find your well hidden container.
We left our mark in the log and thank you Gary for this challenge.

After working out the clues, and doing the calculations, we were off to search for the cache.
Not long before we had it in hand.

I was glad this one was back as I needed a break and the rains had stopped by now.
Gathered the unusual clues, now that was unexpected, and then proceeded to GZ.
Very slippery around here after the rain and I nearly went in!
Got there in the end.
Good to see so much water about.
Thanks

It pays to double check the calculations!!! Double checked one and not the other!!! Drove 8km out of town, cache would have been smack in the middle of a wheat field. Oh well, checked the sums.... Brrr... Cache then in hand quickly. TNLNSL. Thanks for another of your caches honeysucker.
This was another cache I started on my way through last weekend. Did all the calculations but left the find until today. I'm glad I did or I would have missed seeing water in the river for the first time in 9 years (I'm reliably informed!). The locals I passed seemed to be excited about the recent rains filling the river and I was pleased for the community that it was.
Thanks Garry for pointing out two interesting features in this lovely town.

checked this one out this morning and it has been muggled and i will replace it this week
DNF Despite checking everything twice and an extensive search of a very logical GZ, I failed to find this one.
We decided to stay overnight at Dimboola on the way back to Adelaide. Went for a walk in the evening and got the answers to the questions required. Did a quick calc and looked for the cache on the way back to the caravan park. No luck where we were looking. A check of the calcs showed an error, so we set off the next morning before leaving. We're sure we were in the right place this time, but unfortunatley after looking for almost another half hour we could not come up with the cache.
Sadly a DNF for us, not a good way to start the day !!

The land out here is so dry. Seeing this cache really drives it home.
TNLNSL TFTC, find #469 for Echo & Spice.

4th find of the day and 1790th total find.
It's not often that we get to go caching this far from home, but as we are both very fortunate to have a couple of weeks off - - -. By good planning or design this cache was on our list.
The river is really dry here. We even spotted a stranded boat upstream from the bridge.
Took: Nothing
Left: Screwdriver
Thanks honeysucker for the cache.

We used to drive through Dimboola back in the days when it was the main road to Adelaide, we also have friends that were born here.
We pulled up near wpt1 and believe it or not started to search for where we could find the answers to the questions. After a couple of minutes we glanced back at the GPSr and noticed that it wasn't pointing where we were searching, a quick glance in the right direction and all was revealed. After doing the required sums we headed off to gz.
We were shocked when we came across the bridge at Horsham to see how little water the river had in it but it is even worse here. Dimboola is still a great place to visit but unfortunately it's reliable water source is long gone.
The GPSr led us directly to the cache for a nice easy find
TNLN but some photo's to show our friends back in Melbourne.
On our way out of town it was sad to see the old Dimboola hotel had met a sad fate, I enjoyed some excellent meals there back in the interstate driving days
Sorry Officer, What are we doing?...................
Camping! Of course
TFTC, Cheers & Happy Hunting, Shane4
BTW, Nice spot, I also grabbed a couple of Geo coins to take for a ride

Found at 22:30.
Some loud and drunk lads were heading our way from the pub whilst we collected the clues, so we moved the car a short distance away while we did the sums.
Then, whilst the tree of us were standing near GZ looking suspicious a car drove past followed 1/2 a minute later by the police. Good thing there were more suspicious characters around than us.
Then while we set up camp nearby at Horseshoe Bend, the police circled the campground. The police certainly make their presence known in Dimboola.

What a lovely archway, I'll have to show this to Lambchops next time we drive past
there are more drunks in this town then in Tailem bend
We ended up coming back and camping down the road , and the possums were loud at night
Thanks honeysucker

This is our hottest day ever for caching in 2830 finds - +44C, or +111F. We must be nuts! Arggghhh!
By the way, the directional sign at the start has spelled Ottawa incorrectly - only one "o". The distance is correct, though. We wonder how many others not from Australia who have done this cache have their home shown on the sign?
Thanks!

Has been a while since last attempted this one. With the right numbers, found easily today. Left Beeware Geocoin and Team Firesafe Geocoin #40. TFTC
Oh, the lovely smell coming from the bakery near WP1!
An interesting use of a fasinating signpost to get this multi under way. Coordinates at WP1 and GZ were spot on and caclulations easily completed. I've never been to this town before (the joys of bypasses), now I can say that it is very different to Dimbolla, Sri Lanka, however each are interesting places in their own right.
PS the smell coming from the nearby bakery had my mouth watering.

Found with Wombat Warriors 1 on our Cup weekend desert visit. An easy find, took nothing, left Kangaroo Road sign.
Thanks

Woo-Hoo.............. A FTF!!!
We emerged from the Little Desert into Dimboola for food and refreshments, and even flushing toilets!
Did the mathematics, checked the spelling, did the distance and direction calculations, and the cache was quickly in my hand.
Left a woolly sheep and took the TB.

A WOO-HOO as well, as this is a FTF for me.
I "helped" with the arithmetic, spelling, and other brain teasing calculations to get this cache after emerging from the Little Desert.
Somewhat suprised to find Honey in the cache!!
NOT a good idea as ferals have a better sense of smell and can destroy the cache contents, so now it is in my pantry..............YUM!
Left minature gym boot keyring.
A great effort has gone into hiding your 1st cache, and bringing cache seekers to this area. Well done.

Went through around 1:30 am this morning. Had a Colorado GPSr in my hand but couldn't find Colorado on the sign (it was dark). Picked on Colombo instead and it took us out to a tree near the sewerage works - not sure if this was the wet feet honeysucker was referring to. Have to log this one as a Did Not Find - next time maybe.
revisited found 2 small errors these have all now been corrected the hide should be easly found thanks firesafe for pointing them out i owe you.
