So glad to have this one ticked off! Took 3 attempts and today finally a smiley. TFTC
We were about to give up when the 'one more look' gave us that smiling feeling. This cache seriously needs some TLC as everything is wet and moldy. Sorry we didn't have anything to replace it with as we'd already used our spare containers doing cache maintenance for other caches on our travels. Found with Aoraki Sheep.
Felt around in the obvious spot for a while, thought we were going to DNF but eventually found.
Kept looking and finally found it. Original paper in bag soaked and moldy. New paper damp. We added a silica gel sachet but cache needs attention. Thanks for the hard hunt tho.
Found a home made bong on the ground. Not knowing what other treasures may lurk I decided not to pursue this one
Nice one ! The kids weren't leaving until we had found this one did take a while with all the dnf happy to say it still there
Yet another DNF for this one. Please could the owner disable it till it is re instated?
[Well, I certainly did] 'Reach well inside and fiddle around' [but no luck for me here.]
After several unsuccessful attempts finally managed to find the last Otematata cache! Found together with PurpleDragonFire. TFTC
Found it! Glad I have a fossiker with me to do the poking about! No idea what King Kong has to do with it?
We were having a real good look but then a wedding party arrived and starting taking photos so we left.
On thw way in the St John command unit heading to Wanaka for war birds air show. We stopped and scored this one. Found with dotti&bobbi. Tftc
Found on a cycle trip Alps 2 Ocean. A fantastic ride with a wide range of magnificent country. TFTC
Having booked in for the night in the old workers quarters, we took a stroll down town and found the Pit Stop cache. A nearby cache evaded us.
Found this during an evening walk around Otematata. It took a fair bit of looking and we had to avoid the sprinkler at times. Cheers for this cache.
At last! Looked for this one many times years ago without success. Finally found it!
Found it. After heading wrong way Trusted my GPS and cache was soon in hand.

Found 11:41am , find # 1952
Currently travelling through the South Island of New Zealand.
Today we drove from Mt Cook village to Dunedin, through one of the most cache rich country areas I've seen.
Wish we had more time to get bigger numbers, but had to just choose random caches in places where we wouldn't lose too much time.
This was find number 8 for the day.
There were several places matching the clue and we eventually tried the correct one.
All's well with the cache.
Thanks Otematata.

This took a bit longer than it probably ought to have, but with the compass doing that switching thing it sometime liked to do, we ended up having to search quite a number of potential hiding spots before I came across the container. I found the similarity of the surrounding houses both interesting and slightly surreal. TFTC, Otematata. =^.^=
This one had us scratching around everywhere but eventually found it. It is indeed a sleepy little hamlet. TFTC
Once again this one has eluded us but we will return to try again. The nearby shop does well out of us as we buy an ice-cream each time we stop here!
had to stop and put on the fireproof overalls before going to benmore. had a bit of a poke round and found it. tftc.
Found it at 11:19 AM, Found it lying out in the open SL & rehid on a gues

Went to find this after buying milk at teh nearby shop. Were shoulder deep in the obvious spot when we got approached by an interested muggle, and spent some time explaining what was happening. After he left, looked down at the ground and there it was- must have fallen out at some point in the proceedings.
It was a hot day and muggles everywhere. I had to pretend I was needing shade to drink my newly purchased drink but still get odd looks from a few passers-by.
Ice-creams were the order of the day but first the cache had to be found. Mrs KE made a very good find after Mr KE failed to turn up the cache. TFTC.
This was one off those caches that really could only be in a couple of spots, arrived at GZ and went straight to it, this one really didn't take very long to find in the end. Another interesting spot for a cache, thanks for bringing us here, TFTC TNLNSL (2840)
I managed to find this in the very short 10 seconds mandated by my cache companions for this trip. They'd all found it previously Cheers Gav [7553]
19/01/11 20:22 looks like the last cacher was right - we couldn't find it either. Needs maintenance?
The co-ords were spot on but cache not found. I suspect it may have fallen through the (!!) pretty obvious where it should have been, and has been found. Maybe a checkup on it.
Public toilets not far further up the road, so this pitstop cache is convenient not just for the shop. Later in the day, we came back to the park here for a picnic. Thanks Otematata for the cache.
A quick and easy find thanks to the clear instructions and spot on coordinates. Thanks for that! SL. TFTC.
Called in on a wander through Otematata.
Staying overnight across the road in the hotel, on a work trip.
Took a little while to identify the object the cache was hidden in, but after a while it stared me in the face.

Found it at 13:55, my 3rd of 32 finds on a South Island wander, and my 765th find.
No muggles today, found quickly. This was my fourth attempt at this one, every other one was infested with muggles...
TFTC Otematata!
