Found a long time ago when I was part of Black Bunny. Now logging for me, with the permission of the owner.
Thanks, Mr_Roo!
Thanks, Mr_Roo!
Due to the long grass and because I cant find the cache myself. I have decided to let this one go. Thanks old friend!
Supposedly a quick drive-by enroute to the event tonight however the long grass at GZ hampered my views. Hmmm....next time...
Had a good look under every rock and at the base of every tree, very long, wet grass to. Nada on this one so maybe another day.
Had lunch sitting on the nearby rocks after the find. Found with R36 and Brynbeuno on a family caching weekend.
No Roos out at this cache...
No bunnies either...
and no black snakes for that matter either.
Yay for daylight savings.
The Cache was exactly what I expected, exactly where I expected but it still took me several minutes to find even in daylight.
I had fun - dogs had a fine time too.

Found quickly once we found a place to park. Log is very wet and needs attention. TFTC.

Cool hide. The micro had me scared but it was an easy find.

A micro amongst all that long grass? Bleh. [xx(]
The hint of "epbx" was completely unhelpful because we couldn't find what the hint was mentioning, though given the dampness nobody was too willing to go ferreting through the grass. Did some minor hand-searching and then stomped all the long grass trying to feel for the "epbx"... nothing.

Found this with The Rats on our 2 day cache hunt. Thanks to the one who went there before us TFTC
#4183 Did this cache with Bega-Gang as part of a 2 day trek around Canberra. The trampled grass in the area certainly narrows down the search area.
Thanks
Thanks
Out to get rid of tb's, didnt pay attention to it being a micro. Eventually found it as the grass provided some good cover for it.
Found on a good day caching in the National Capital. The good hint helped, and a heap of tiny ants had made the hide their home!
Looks like there's been a bit of traffic around this cache recently, all the grass has been trampled.

We dragged the kids out (literally) for an evening of caching. It took us a little while to find this cache in the dark with torches but persistance paid off. TFTC!
Well, I am glad that I read the hint otherwise I could have been here for a much longer period of time than the time I was here. Cheers and many thanks for the cache mr_roo.
Very clever hide, fortunatly we have seen this type before else we would have been stumped. Thank you for taking us to another nice area.
Cache 7 of 30 for our day's Northside Noodge (great word, look it up )

Puddle senior, puddle teen and puddle kid out on this one.
From the puddle teens field notes:
"Ewwww! There were bugs and all sorts of creepy crawlies inside that really freaked out puddle senior."
Unfortunately yes, but I cleaned them out. We were a bit worried about this one when we saw the long grass and no obvious piles of rocks but in the end we found it quickly.

Search for while until found the cache. SL. Thanks mr_roo for organising the cache and hunt.
Found without trouble, apart from the grass seeds. I think I'm going to invest in boots - the pull-on ones, without laces.
I should have had a better look at the map before attempting this one - I drove around in circles trying to find the closest place to this one, while avoiding a walk through long grass (the grass seeds are vicious at the moment).
Injuryman made the find - I've seen a number of this cache style lately. I like them.
Thanks Mr. Roo.

TFTC found with the girls. Had to initially do a drive by and come back for a second go as there were kids everywhere playing..
This was cache 19 out of 21 for the day. We parked nearby expecting a quick find but that's where hubris gets you - it took a bit longer than that to actually locate the cache which was very well hidden. Maybe the recent rains have certainly helped with the grass cover. Anyway, find it we did so signed log and replaced. TFTC
# 4 for the day
We were lucky to find the gate open so were basically able to drive within 25 metres of this one.
The co ords were spot on for GZ.
Great hide.

Long story here, but to shorten it, I found a coin that came from Australia, but never been dropped anywhere, so owner of coin said I could drop it here and pick it up and release it in the USA somewhere for the mileage. So, dropping coin and will be picking it back up.
Found by Mary & David at 1025. We always comment on the green spaces everywhere around Canberra. This one is a good example. Our thanks to Mr roo for the cache and for the roo story.
Nice cache, close to coords, we like the hint!! TFTC

Found at 14:05 with matt_stomper - our fifteenth find of the day.
This cache probably took us the longest of today's finds - the area could probably do with a bit of CITO-lovin'. It's also been a while since I've seen this hiding method used.
Thanks mr_roo

Having passed this cache numerous times but the road not being suitable for a drive way I approached from a different direction.
With the dogs safely (I thought) in the car I started my search only to be disrupted by the sounds of Puddy and Jack trying to fit through the gap in the window to chase the cat wandering pass. Now, luckily my dogs aren't 4 inches high as they would have been out of there, as it was there was just a lot of fighting as each dog seemed to assume the reason they couldn't fit through the gap was that the other dog was taking up all the space.
Back to searching - looking for a mint tin, which isn't on the ground so it won't rust, but nothing was obvious except the track marks from the previous cache finder (or something similar). Hmm, checking out the last couple of logs I thought 'oh no, I am looking in the old spot, Mr_Roo has put the new coords in the log, I will head there'. Nope, these coords are for the OLD location (which I would have realised if I had taken more than a passing glance at the log comments), plus I could see the bulldozer marks.
Back to the original location and this time - bingo. It didn't occur to me that with a new location due to the previous missing cache then the cache container might change as well. Very sneaky Mr_Roo!

As poliwogs mentioned there is a little bit of confusion as to whether its up or down. Maybe the last line of the description might be best deleted?.
Very relieved to find after some searching, thanks mr roo

Found after searching through long grass. Unfortunately no musky-rat 'roos today, just a bunch of flies. (pen died, so did not record visit).

If a cache has been changed to a new location, is there a new first to find? If so then It's the Alpine Nomads that has the FTF on the new location...Nice one folks...

Went out today and replaced the cache. Enjoy! Dont think a dozer will get this one!
I see Mr_roo has all ready done the check up on this one.
Could still be there just buried now. At first I thought I was heading straight for the pile of rocks.
JABs.

We didn't find this one, but a grader has been in the area and some of the bushland has been destroyed.
Used the clue for this one. We are trying to get clever and not look at the clues so we can get better at lateral thinking. Canberra is such a fab place to hide a cache. And also to go out armed with a pile of waypoints and get around easily. Loving our new hobby....

A large mass of tangled roots had me worried about where this would be. Speaking of bees, a nest of them was very close by. Was that the cache? Ouch! Ouch! Ouch!Ouch! No, not there. I looked elsewhere. Just as Webby went to say, 'Nah! searched there', I was holding the cache.
Dodgy knees, bladder like a pregnant women, bottomless stomach that wants junk food, and now blindness. I gotta get him home quick.

Thanks anyway.

Xtumech and Gabbadabbadoo came up with the find on this one. I had originally dismissed the hiding spot as unlikely, but the kids found it.
Mind you, given the location, I think a larger cache would have been more appropriate (although I do understand why a micro was chosen).

First cache for our last morning in Canberra.
We found ourselves in a big pile of stumps, lots of hiding places. The wasps were across one side so we looked at the other. This proved a good idea, firstly we didn't piss off any wasps, but we also found the cache.
Nice camo job.
Thanks, Robmc.

Looked for this one late afternoon. Many muggles nearby but didn't seem interested in what we were doing. Unable to find it, but did find a log with wasps nesting in it, not keen to go under there lol. Will have to look again soon.

A nice easy find, liked the hide...No sign of the bees mentioned in the logs. Thanks
I approached this one from a slightly different direction to some of the recent finders, so was thinking about a different hazard, of the slithery kind. Didnt see the bees!
To my relief (with hazards in mind) I found the cache quite quickly. Nice to see some simple camo being employed.
It was good to find my first Mr_Roo cache, after having met the man the previous day at the event. Thanks very much.

Second of 7 local finds today.
I was starting to worry that the cache may yet stay unfound by CT when I saw the swarm of bees within 2M of the cache. However, after my last failed attempt I was determined to locate, log and leave. Luckily I spied the hide quite quickly this time. Thanks mr_roo.

A clever little cache. I almost gave up on this one when I arrived because there were bees swarming (& I am allergic!), but I decided to have a look on the far side to the bees & fortunately that was where the cache was. I don't think I have ever been to this part of Canberra before. TFTC & showing me somewhere new.
Strange - found this one a few weeks ago... Maybe I forgot to log it? Anyways, neat little hide - found it quickly at the time.
I spent 10 minutes searching in areas, I could have avoided when reading the cache description. But then - that's the thrill with traditionals: Can you find it without knowing what you are looking for . The final found was a nice surprise.

Had a bit of trouble with this, but only because I didn't read the listing properly and was looking in the many traditional hiding spots. I was also being very circumspect and the bees nest at GZ was very active today.
Then I saw something that looked like a good spot and I was right.
Thanks mr_roo.

1597. Actually the bushland is around Fraser but I guess that's just me being pedantic. So I was over in Spence dropping some stuff off at my childhood home when I decided to have another go at this one. Found in less than a minute this time, although I did have a bit of assistance from McPhanKid. Clever hide.
