The fence is gone but so is the garden and pole.

Conflicting logs, and staying nearby, so thought I would drop by and see this morning. Fence is back up (if it was down) and there was a construction worker/security guard on site, so this was a definite do not attempt.

I see the fences are down now.

Big high fences still round GZ. Cache is currently inaccessible.

As a TVNZ staff member, I can advise that this temporary fence will shortly be replaced with a more permanent structure for a 12 month long building alteration and refurbishment plan. This cache will be out of action for quite some time. Cheers all.

Too many muggles around, and the "garden" was in the middle of being watered... We had a quick search around but didn't bother getting wet in front of everybody's eyes. So a DNF for us.

Just got back to the USA and find a temporary hold on your cache. Hope I can squeeze this in. Loved your country. TFTH

#859 - What's the best medicin against jet-lag? Geocaching, for sure. We arrived in the middel of the night NZ and felt into the bed. After a view hours of sleep - we had breakfast and than we are looking for our first cache in the southern hemisphere. This one is the nearest from our hotel.
We read the hint - well our english isn't very good (see also this log ) - stone... mh... black... okay... but there is a lot of rubbish... empty beer bottels and than - what surprise.... this couldn't be waste... this is the cache. With a smilie on the face we'd logged this - for us very special - cache. TFTC.

My first cache in NZ. Just arrived from the Czech Republic for my 3 weeks´ holiday. TFTC.

During a visit to Auckland. Great to get north of the Bombays for us bottom dwellers.
Put wrong date in the log (yesterday's).
Cache in order; log signed, cache safely re-hidden.

Yeah finally logging this as found. Back in Feb 2012 this cache was mugglers however after some searching I spotted the cache and Corikra retrieved it. Thanks for replacing this cache.

Our first find in Auckland. Not many muggles about. The are around GZ has lots of trash so if this ever gets cleaned up the cache may be lost. Replaced it well out of sight. TFTC

Santa parade day but still managed to push the odd bourbon bottles aside a make a quick grab. No pen so didn't get to sign

Had a fairly good idea as to the location. But that is such a huge rock!! Are you sure its under that one?! Haha. Anyway, we decided to walk away due to rush hour and too many muggles. The area clearly showed signs of some tampering. We will be back at the right time!! =)

Nice quick find on the way to work not too many muggles about for an early morning cache grab.

[green] Two days before I leave Auckland, so instead of caching up a storm - by doing 30+ caches on the bike - it is off to special caches. Firstly the 5/5 International Cacher Challenge, then another Wherigo: Hugo. So I am about half way around Hugo and I suddenly realise - Duh! I should at least be doing any traditionals I pass! This was the first (I didn't backtrack). Took a little loitering to find a gap in the traffic to retrieve the cache and another gap to put it back. Used the hint straight off to minimise searching. Not cool this time of day.

#5015 We were heading into the city for a visit to the Skytower and had just completed our visit when we attempted this cache. Thanks to a very good hint we didn't need to loiter for too long at GZ. So for quite a while the song was then stuck in our head . Our thanks to funkymunkyzone and 10centcoin for the cache and series. Cheers [^]

... found it ! ... the GPS signal bounces around ALOT at these downtown Auckland caches. ... finally found it after quite a bit of unreliable GPS readings and a passing rain shower. ... the hint was a big help ! ... TFTH

Second attempt today, super quick find, usual story, thought we had checked there last time..... Now time to go and enjoy the Viaduct and the Tall Ships. TFTC.

After a very long trip (half around the world) we arrived in Auckland and already logge our first cache in New Zealand, this is our second one. We proceeded to the Sky Tower, where I first wanted to do the 'free fall', but the price prevented me from doing it, too expensive . I thought about placing a geocache in the tower, it's high enough to keep the distance to other caches (more than 161 meters) - but I had not box and logbook on me... sorry . Maybe a geocacher around here can place one, sound like an idea, doesn't it ?

tyftc Quite easy after a number of previous reccies

The GPS at first pointed me bit away from the actual hide, but that can always be the case when surrounded by high-rises. Attached a picture of the currently pink Auckland Tower.

This was a need on our NZ tour, beautifully 360° view and sonny weather, wonderful.
After this great experience we didn't trouble about any minutes we had to search before finding the logbook. TFTC!

We looked for quite some time (not too worried about muffled as the office building was closed). Even using the hint, from several starting points, we still had no luck. Gave up out of concerns about a nasty spider bite (we already have a bad one from Cairns).

Went for a stroll at lunch the 2 rocks in this garden , are immovable. No luck checked around for ages.

Up from Nelson for a meeting tomorrow morning, was at a loose end so took the opportunity to find a few caches in the CBD. Last time I looked for this one, had to lodge a DNF however no problems this time round. Funnily enough the last person to find this one was MuzzaL53, a fellow cacher from Nelson!!! Funny that.... Go Nelson!!! TFTC!!

Made it. Found another August caching day strreak in Auckland before Conference got under way. Quiet at GZ on a Saturday morning. TFTC

Found it at last after a couple of recce's.

We picked a good time to investigate this cache - not too many people on a Tuesday evening and cold enough that nobody was hanging about. The shrubbery looking a bit worse for wear was the main giveaway. Nice hidey hole. Thanks!

We had tried this cache before an event previously, but with time constraints, the pressure wasn't allowing us a find. This time, we read the clue more closely and managed to grab this one a lot more easily. TFTC!

nearby at event today. stopped by before but the gardner was working on the grounds picking up rubbish. so came back with Skaga and we managed a quick find between showers for this. So pleased the gardner never found it . nice to see you again Skaga and happy caching .

#423 I found, but couldn't retrieve, this one before the WWFM Event on Saturday but today I was able to make the grab with the help of butchiebum once again- nice to keep bumping in to you! Good to tick this one off my list- TFTC!

Doing the loop here and this one being on our next todo list today. Little tricky this one as the GPSr for us were all over the place so we were dependent on the hint. After the good search, ishoot managed to get his hands on it. Nice hide

After doing battle with the dark side a few survivors wandered around the starbase to collect a couple of neglected caches. Many moons ago I had attempted this one during a fine busy lunch day....better results today. Thanks for this one.

After attending the nearby flashmob, a few of us keen cachers headed off to find a few caches. This was on the list, so we headed over to GZ. Not too many people about as it looked as if it was about to rain. With four of us looking the cache was soon in hand and log signed. TFTC!

Out with ishoot, snakelion and mike-miss after attending the flashmob down the road and had been wanting to grab this cache for a while. Was hoping for a quick find with four of us looking and it wasn't too long before ishoot had the cache in hand. All pretty quiet round here today with the rain keeping most people at bay. TFTC

On the tour for the wherigo "Hugo" we took a wee side trip for this one..

Took ages to find a cache in Aukland as the GPS was so erratic! One second it showed we were 55ft away then it was suddenly 200ft!! Difficult. TFTC

Felt we had to do at least one cache in Aukland even tho the GPS was not responding well to all the surrounding buildings. This was the one and only, too hot to do any more!! TFTC

At last ! Been watching this one for me than a year, and finally saw that the cache was replaced. Collected at 5:20am pn a Tuesday morning, and even so there were still muggles to avoid ! TFTC.

Arrived today travelling from Sweden. Took a short walk around my hotel and find my first cache in New Zealand.

Was in town this evening so took the opportunity to find this, my closest unfound cache to home (thanks for replacing it). An easy enough find only complicated by waiting for gaps in passing muggles.

Nice to see this one finally back up and running, so popped up at lunch time to get this. Quite a few muggles walking past and loads in cars. Sat on the wall and waited until the lights changed then quickly looked/felt around....did this several times until finally the cache was in hand, tftc

Another grab on the way home from work, saw where this one is likely to be but grabbing it at 7pm on a week day, not so easy. Had a grope around each time there was a gap between muggles, but could not seem to put my hand on it. Got it on the third try though, signed the log and darted off. TFTC #54

After attending the Flash mob event goldielover and I wandered down to this cache. Having narrowed the area down to one spot and having a quick glance, with lots of DNF's as we did not have up to date logs we were about to give up. When along came Phasevisitor and Spider-Bite. They asked if any luck.No. Armed with extra info and the knowledge that the cache was in fact back again. I said well this is where I think it should be. Moved a little greenery and there staring at me was the cache. Passed around for signing. Thanks guy's.

Found with stairman1. We had just left a flash mob event and decided to have a look for this one. As our gps wasn't working well in the city we searched high and low. We were about to DNF this one when some fellow cachers turned up to help us with an updated hint. In no time stairman1 located the container. Tricky hide. Thanks TheWonderStuff.

I had to wait ages for a clear gap between passing muggles but the cache was then quickly located (thanks to the hint). I then had to wait just as long before I could safely replace the cache.

This was one of the first caches I attempted (unsuccessfully) when I arrived in Auckland over a year ago so it's great to finally mark this one with a smilie face.

This must be at least the 4th time I've tried this cache over 2 years and every time with no luck. Would the cache owner please confirm the cache is there (lots of DNF's) and potentially update the hint to something more specific as I don't seem to be the only one who is struggling.. Thanks anyways
