The Cereal had passed it's use by date and was going rancid. Therefore it has been removed from GZ. If you are looking for some fresh cereal please your local supermarket. Thanks to all who came and found this cache. And thanks to J.A.C.H who had previously replaced the original cereal container.

Found as a part of TheKellyGang, writing this as a genaric log as I was a part of TheKellyGang and am now out on my own.
If you do not agree with this you are more than welcome to delete the log. Smile

CACHING Member - Cachers Against Canned Hunting In Nomadic Groups

If eating cereal for breakfast every day is illegal then I'm a cereal offender. My day will nearly always start with a bowl of my home-made muesli; the local grain doesn't go down to well with me.

Owl was getting worried she’d done the Sudoku wrong, but she’s the sudoku queen and it can’t be! A scramble later and a different entrance and the cache was in hand. Phew!

17-Dec-13
Located after a short scramble at the GZ with Dr Owl and Knightyme!! Thanks Team Rancid for the hide!!!

17-Dec-13
Out for a day with CPwanderer and Dr Owl in the Claire area, these are the logs of our adventures for the day.

A fun puzzle to solve, and while we were on the wrong side of GZ, it was easy enough to walk around.

16-Nov-13
Easily solved puzzle. Glad I found it where it was as I didn't fancy putting my hand under any logs since it was a warm day and there could be SNAKES ! Dropped off a TB.

24-Feb-13
A great final spot. The puzzle was solved years ago. TFTC

27-Jan-13
Easily found with some help from local cachers Wink

27-Jan-13
finally found this one Smile

18-Jan-13
After 3 nights in Watervale it was sadly time to head home. We went back a different way to grab some caches on the way. Having solved these two cereal offending puzzles whilst in Watervale and never quite getting the time to get out to them..now was the time. Spot on coords led me straight to it. Glad it was a bit cooler today so didn't see any reptilian guardians. Smile. Thanks team ransid. Big Grin

27-Oct-12
Thanks for the cache and as other cachers have commented, what a beautiful view.

12-Jun-12
Found whilst "mopping up" after the June Long Weekend event. There are so many caches, we didn't have time to do many regular ones during the weekend, so today was another relaxing day and of course we had to find a few.

This was our RunCount0th cache in our caching run today - and we found it at around 14:19.
(So this is our 43520th total find.)

Tried to approach this one from the wrong direction initially. After working out the error of our ways, the cache was soon in hand.

Took: Nothing
Left: Micro Container
Thanks team ransid for the hunt today.

11-Jun-12

10-Jun-12
Found during the CCC2 long weekend event. We parked on the road, and follwed the geotrail up the embankment. But it didn't seem to be taking us to the cache. Wonder where it goes? We circled around to the right spot, and descended to the right level, for a relatively quick find.

TNLN - Thanks Team Ransid!

10-Jun-12

I was out with Laighside Legends doing some locus cache-ing while looking for places to put out our JLWE cache hides.
Laighside Legends had solved this previously and so he made the find: he also had the ability to descend the slope while I remained at the top Wink Thank you Smile

One of many solved in Tassie before the SA trip.
We had a wedding to attend at Bungaree Station on the Saturday night, so on the Sunday morning we detoured via a couple of puzzles.
GZ was a surprising little quiet spot.
Thanks for the cache.

03-Jul-11
What a glorious spot for a cache. Just a couple of meters from the road and you feel like you could be anywhere. Fantastic views as well from this vantage point. Thanks Team Ransid for taking us here

16-May-11
Worked out the puzzle while at home which was not that easy.
Had to do the puzzle a couple times, as a couple words can be used in different places which affects the end result.
Got to GZ which was all good, this place was made for a cache.!!!
TFTC.

19-Feb-11
Thought we'd be smart on this one.. only to find we couldn't get to within 10 metres of GZ. had a re-think on the approach and made a successful find.

TNLN TFTC and the puzzle.

BTW: if the policeman drew his firearm in the supermarket and shot the corn flake packet , would he be a cereal killer?

28-Dec-10
Found this a few days ago and forgot to log it. Nice easy find with Mum - TFTC

Found by Mary & David at 0845. Did the puzzle before leaving home last week. Always a sigh of relief when the calculated coordinates turn out to be correct. Good views already on a sunny morning. Our thanks to Team Ransid.

19-Sep-10
McPhan solved this puzzle before we left but somehow misplaced the coords after he'd sent them to me. So I can claim a valid contribution to finding this cache! Thanks Team Ransid.

19-Sep-10
3631. [font=Comic Sans Ms][green]I was the solver of this puzzle and was suitably puzzled when Mr Winglen drove past where I thought it was. Now somehow I had the original coords and he had the corrected ones. One has to ask how. Maybe that could be the basis of another puzzle?

14-Aug-10
Solved the puzzle during the morning rain and dashed out in the brief fine spell to grab this. Took toad, left soldier. TFTC

08-Aug-10
I prepared the solution to this puzzle as well as its twin prior to coming up to Clare as I like to find a few mysteries among my finds.
It was getting late in the day when I pulled over to find this one.
Searched a couple of other spots before I correctly approached the hide.
Thanks
TNLN

14-Jun-10
On a roll today enjoying some of Clare caches. Kids enjoyed the puzzle cheers TFTCSL

20-May-10
As with Cereal offender 2 Cracker Girl solved this before we left Melbourne so having the information before we left home we were keen to see if she was correct. We enjoyed the drive here, the views were great. We're not sure if we parked in the right spot but our first attempt was rather steep so we found a little bit longer easy was in. Again the cache was found where the GPSr said it should be making a perfect score for CrackerGirl
Thanks again Team Ransid

24-Apr-10
Well this one made me work a bit.
I came in from the top and easily found the cache but the container then fell to bits so back up to the car to get a new container and then back down again and then back up again.
The conatine ris now a round screw top style as I did not have a suitable 'style' on me.

19-Jan-10
Found quickly after also deciding to attack from below rather than above. Fine and warm day with views of surrounding grape vines.

02-Jan-10
Found after visiting the Hillbillies. At first I was going to approach from above, but decided to go down and around.

At least I now know why this cache has it's name. Wink

Thanks Team Ransid.

18-Dec-09
Found on my drive into Clare.
My sort of puzzle. Thanks

24-Oct-09
Mrs TiedyeSmileys had solved these a while ago so good to finally find them.

We I went to put the cache back, it looked like a great big snake coiled up where the cache was sitting which certainly got the heart going. A on a cautiously closer examination, following the coiled upwards fat reptilian down to ground level, I spotted some small legs. Phew, just a lizard. See the other Cereal Offender cache for another fright I had There.

06-Oct-09
Found while cycling into Clare from Auburn via Mintaro and Farrell Flat.

06-Oct-09
Opp's, forgot to drop in some travellers for a quick visit and miles.

11-Jul-09
There is stuff here! What do you know. Had half a glance from the car in the rain on the way to Burra, and though perhaps the corrected coords hadn't made it to the GPS, or even GSAK. On the way back we stopped to check at CO2, and decided that they must be corrected after all. Much nicer to wander in here while it's not raining. TFTC

11-Jul-09
After getting a find at CO2 we knew that we did in fact have the answers in the Oregon. So once again we stopped here, and A made her way to GZ. I should mention that she found the hardest way possible, and who knows why she took that way, but at the end of the day she did eventually get there.

The walk back to the car was much quicker, and easier on the terrain.

TNLNSL

There looked to be a bit of an indicator of where it might be, looked there first and Bingo.

03-Jul-09
... and now I understand the name Red Face. I was looking forward to coming up this way to find these puzzle caches. It was rather cold and wet but we found it pretty quickly.

29-Mar-09
Now I understand the name. I thought it may have been to do with the farming land nearby but alas my thoughts were wrong. Took a snake and left some tall pencils. Then we headed for a well earned Golden North ice cream from the bakery. Thanks

No swaps or any debris lying around for Astro. A quick photo of the log and I was off to Clampett.

Clear skies and our thanx to Team Ransid. Smile

23-Nov-08
Started to solve this when it was first published but couldn't find the puzzle when we were planning this cache trip. Mr S did the puzzle again. Imagine our surprise when a rabbit shot out of the hole left by the cache once Mr S removed it. Only a little rabbit but it started us.

Took NZ coin. Claiming silver after giving the locals plenty of time to claim. Thanks.

23-Nov-08
Bronze for the frog nation.

Collected 2x 4m 6mm chain slings from near the cache. Nice swap. Don't forget to tie down your loads.

23-Nov-08
The approach from level ground was much safer
I wonder if this would get affected by a flash flood
Thanks Team Ransid

08-Nov-08

Sorry Gum-Ako, if it's any consolation we have your dog tags. Took: purple purse Left: scissors and Bunya's NZ Geocoin. TFTC
