This cache has brought many people to a beautiful back road in the Clare Valley. But after many years the container is showing it's age. Team Ransid has made the hard decision not to replace the container but to archive this cache instead. Thanks to all who found this cache. We still love driving down this Clare back road.
After completing our 2nd trip around Australia, we are now going up through the center.
Currently camped at Auburn, and drove to Clare to cache around the area.
A good day out, with a variety of hides.
Container is rusty and out of shape, lid no longer fits, may need replacing.
Many thanks for the hunt today, team ransid.

A lot of water in here! And it's rusty water at that. Dried the best I could. Quiet spot to take your time.

Found on a pleasant outing with CPwanderer to attend the 'Meet and Greet at Clare'.
Mr M decided to show off his caching ability by making a solo run for this one, only to go to the wrong place. Eventually he sheepishly tried the location suggested by the rest of the team and soon had the prize in hand. Yes, the lid is difficult to get off. TFTC team ransid.

Found whilst "mopping up" after the June Long Weekend event. There are so many caches, we didn't have time to do many regular ones during the weekend, so today was another relaxing day and of course we had to find a few.
This was our RunCount0th cache in our caching run today - and we found it at around 14:13.
(So this is our 43510th total find.)
Another nice quick find on our caching day. The farmer was working on the nearby vines, so we had to wait until his back was turned.
Took: Nothing
Left: Micro Container

Come and listen to a story about a man named Jed
A poor mountaineer, barely kept his family fed,
Then one day he was shootin at some food,
And up through the ground came a bubblin crude.
Oil that is, black gold, Texas tea.
Well the first thing you know ol Jed's a millionaire,
Kinfolk said "Jed move away from there"
Said "Californy is the place you ought to be"
So they loaded up the truck and moved to Beverly.
Hills, that is. Swimmin pools, movie stars.
Didn't spot Jed Clampett today.
TNLN - Thanks Team Ransid!

I just love these country lanes as they wind their way through this beautiful countryside... and after the rain in the last two days, everything looks so fresh and green... and no dusty roads for us. Mind you, the car's got layers of mud. but it's worth it for the beautiful bush smells.

In the district for a couple of days, Rocky Glen Grommets are ticking off some caches - the views were amazing - we also surprised a gorgeous lizard sunning itself (photo to follow) - thanks for sharing this view with us.
Nice early evening drive and relatively easy find in a great hiding spot. The jar only just fits...
A bit of work was going on in the vineyards, but they were behind the olive trees, so the cache was very quickly sussed.
Great views of the vineyards, I can see a photo in it, when the light is right.

It was lovely to pull over here amongst the vines for an early evening find.

The patchwork quilt was looking quite colorful today as we headed towards gz. Once there we were happy to find no workers and the GPSr took us directly to the cache location. We signed the log and headed off to find somewhere to do a U- turn which fortunately wasn't too far
Thanks Team Ransid for the cache

nearly had monday's roast dinner picked out, but which one to choose out of the 15 that were chasing us down the road. great spot....oh the tranquility of the valley. TFTC
if we were more like the "clampetts", we would have "rammed" one of the locals out on the road into the baack of the car and taken it home for roast dinner. But "ewe" know how it is, didn't want to spoil their fun.Felt a bit sheepish when they came to say " how aaaaaare ewe" when we stopped for the cache.
THanx for bringing us here.

Driving up to this cache, all I could think of was:
"Come and listen to a story about a man named Jed
A poor mountaineer, barely kept his family fed,
Then one day he was shootin at some food,
And up through the ground came a bubblin crude.
Oil that is, black gold, Texas tea. "
Those wacky Clampetts from the Beverly Hillbillies for those younger whippersnappers.

Found by Mary & David at 1225. Love these back roads. Vines are looking pruned and gnarled now. Some huge old ones near here. Our thanks to Team Ransid once more.
Our first find for the day, and at this stage it was rather wet! Still nice views here though.
The road was still good quality so the forester had no problems getting through. Cache was found easily, sitting safe and sound.

Returning from Yorke peninsular via Claire (to avoid the Pt Wakefield bottleneck), we diverted to get this cache, passing some beautiful scenery on the way. This turned out to be our final and 70th cache for the weekend. A nice round number to finish off with. No swaps. Cheers .
We saw some terrific views of the valley from the road on the way here. Cache itself was easy to find. TFTC.
I couldn't see the patchwork at that time of night, but enjoyed the cache anyway. Thanks.
Out for a day's caching with Briben. Definitely looks like a patchwork quilt. Left a poodle puppet and a kklem bear and took a parachute man. Thanks Team Ransid.
