We had lunch at this lovely place after finding the cache. Thanks for bringing us here.
We are doing a loop of Lake Gairdner from Adelaide. We have loved the Desert Sturt peas along the road today. This was a nice place to stop too. No water in the lake today. We found the cache in the open and full of condensation. The container cracked as i tried to open it so we replaced it with the only container we had large enough to hold the log book. A large screw top vitamin container. The pens would not fit. I cleaned out the tomato sauce and KFC wipe sachets, i dont know anyone who would use these from a cache.
enjoying our journey down the track towards my ive. such a fun and exciting area.
Very lucky me. What a fabulous location. Managed to drive to the cache and had a spot of lunch as well. TFTC
This one was a special target in our tour of the Gawler Ranges. The last DT combo needed for our 20th DT loop.
We were ready for a walk but decided to try to get a bit closer in the LC200.
We finally had to abandon the car and proceed on foot when the distance to GZ on the GPSr read 3 metres
Found in company with the Rainmakers including grumpi68, pest77, and DJT75.
A great trip.

Drove in off the road in to the dunes. Then lost the track, drove a bit more then just stopped the 4 x 4 and walked the last 150 meters. It was a stroll filled with the company of flies but a nice view. quick find at gz. the replacement container is fine, not sure why some one put a needs maintenance log on this cache.
Day 8
Kingooya to Mount Ive Station
This trip saw me travel to Maralinga to do the tour of the nuclear test site then up the Googs track, past Lake Gairdner on to Mount Ive Station, then in to the Gawler Rangers and finally hiking up Mount Remarkable before heading home.

Found some shade to sit under not far from the tanks. Hot walk to GC. Good reason to walk into the mallee further round the lake. Did not have the energy to chuck the frisbee about on the edge of this lake.
We were 'lucky' and spotted the track, though felt bad driving on the dune. Found the cache in a miserable state, the container brittle and cracking, the lid in several pieces. We signed the log and put the contents in a plastic bag. While having lunch we decided to sacrifice our biscuit container, a 1 litre sistema as the new cache holder. Will last for a while but they really need to be metal containers out here if anyone coming along has one approx. 10x15cm. TFTC
Interesting location and structures at the corner. A short diversion brought us to the cache and the log was duly signed. Another great lake view. Tftc
A quick detour from our travels into this one. Followed some form of track in here and found cache in state of disrepair. Not having our usual cache kit with us we had to leave it as we found. Ruins out by the road were certainly interesting. TFTC
Found with e.gregory1 (previous finder) during an awesome trip that saw us traverse Goog's Track, visit some remote and desolate outback towns and tour the Gawler Ranges, camping out at Nalara Rock, Wymbring Rocks, Lake Gairdner and Lake Gilles CP. Thanks for the cache Rum Rustler!
Hey mark ! Your friends from kings creek campfire found it ! Look forward to seeing you another day !
Found It!
We did the 500m walk from the road. There are wheel tracks at GZ so if you can find the way in, you can drive there. But for us it was a nice little evening walk and a quick find once at GZ!

Found on a trip north with Anymules, Laighside legends and Moneydork, made the short walk over some dunes to GZ, missed the sunset but it was dusk and just enough light to make the find and return to the vehicles

Found as part of a trip to attend the TAR Centenary at Ooldea & then onto a Maralinga tour & home via the Gawler Ranges.

We drove around the edge of the lake to GZ. Lid of container is starting to break up and needs replacing soon. A lovely quiet spot late in the afternoon. Thanks Rum Rustler for the cache.
Found but didn't open it, mould growing in the bottom: didn't want to expose cachekid.
Parked about 200 metres from gz but in hindsight could have driven all the way.
Container is very brittle so if a future finder could bring a new med container, would be great
SVKR_WA and I are heading home to Perth after a great few days in Alice Springs for the red centre event. This is the second day and we ledt Coober Pery about 6.00am to try and get as many kilometres behind us as possible.
I can't wait to catch up with everyone again at
[WA GOES BIG 2017](https://coord.info/GC6TD11) in Rockingham, WA.
Perths big event is on again.
**See you there**.
Rum Rustler - Kyzabra found your cache Lucky You . The cache is in good shape and we replaced it as found. Thanks for placing and maintaining your cache.!

A good d/t combo here saw us stopping on our way to the Eyre Highway. Drove until about 200m from GZ then walked in.
Container very brittle.
Travelling on the Road Trip to end all Road Trips. Kyzabra and I are travelling from Perth to Alice Springs (via the Great Central Road) for the Red Centre Experience Event over Easter. We are travelling in Kyzabra's GeoPajero and grabbing caches along the way of course.
Up and out before it was light this morning. looking to make Ceduna as out next stop.
Rum Rustler - SVKR_WA found your cache Lucky You on 18/4/17, 10:25. This is my find #2146 and find #8 today.

Found at 4.30pm on our way back to Streaky Bay after completing Googs track, We had decided to camp here the night, but the tank area was covered in toilet paper and GZ was not suitable.
We walked to the cache through the soft dunes - looks like it was popular area in the past, now sandblown.
We found a great camping area approx. 2kms SW along a fence line.
TNLN
Thanks

Another great place to camp. We will be back to do just that in the future.
Having lunch on Day 5 of the SA Variety Bash and saw the cache on my map within a km. Transferred the coordinates to my phone and, after a short walk, the cache was mine. TNLN, thanks Rum Rustler
Nice hide. Thank you for the fun from Sydney! We enjoyed finding this one (:
Our tour from Sydney to Ayers Rock took roughly two weeks. We can't reproduce which cache we've visited at what time any more. That's why we logged all of them at the same days, so don't be confused about that (:

We found this cache on our Northern road trip, which was to celebrate my significant birthday. We saw some great places, met some wonderful people and slept through some 3 dog nights. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and finding caches made the trip more memorable – Thank you and ……Joy to the World!!
Another gorgeous spot but it was very windy so we hid in a shelter for a cuppa. Again would never have come in here except for the cache, so thanks. TFTC TNLN SL
Great our first found on this route on my birthday, so something goes well after 2 NF caches. Thanks for showing us this place, Graz Ducteam.
A piratey sort of spot with a name like 'Skull Tank' .... hidden by Rum Ruster no less [:o]
Aaarrrgh !!
Pieces of eight, pieces of eight !!
From the tanks, I set forth on me peg leg, across the shiftin' sands of the beach toward the treasure
A ship has been scuttled in the dunes here a few weeks ago !! [:o]
Best I can make out it was the flagship of the Ford Motors corporation !!
"The Falcon" [:o]
The wreck has been plundered and left on this lonely shore to rot !!
Strollin' onwards through the dunes I reached GZ.
A cache was soon in me grasp
Time for some pillagin' !!
Aaarrrgh !!
Not much to pillage, but I left me moniker in yon logbook
TFTC by sandy shores !! [^]
'Tis not a good spot to be shipwrecked, me hearties !!

The Family and myself did Googs track over this Easter via Ceduna returning via Tarcoola, Kingoonya, Skull Camp tanks, Kangaroo well, Mt Ive station and iron knob. We found 20 or 30 finds whilst on our travels.
What a fantastic spot to camp, a pity we were running behind time and had to keep going.
Thanks Rum Rustler, a great spot.

Came across a rolled Commodore [xx(] on our way down here from 'Sahara in the Spring' and then there was a suspicious looking car parked out of sight as we pulled into the track leading here (which Tk2 reported next day) .
Followed Firesafe (again) to get nice and close to GZ .
TNLNSL.
Another spot that would make a good camp [^].

Found an abandoned vehicle here and turned over the information to the Police at Mt Ives. TFTC.

We were lucky. A great spot. I walked in but got a lift back. Pic attached.
We found a car abandoned near the in. Tk2 took over and reported it. Did you leave a white ford here and go for a stroll to the cache? Please let us know you are OK! [8)]
Found with the fun and company of the Goog's Group on my getting reacquainted with Goog's Track trip. I'd last been to Goog's in 2003 so the revisit was well overdue. Dunes, corrugations, lizards, birds and beautiful country was the reward. Weather was mostly perfect, as were the campfire meals and star bounty at night, every night. GG members included M's Piggy (Babe), Tk2, Disk, Team Waldron, Gum-Ako, FireSafe, honeysucker and Freddo. Thanks for their amazing company under the many clear skies we had

A quick and easy cache to find.
Parked about 5M from the cache.
Beautiful location - well worth the deviation off the main road to take the backroads from Coober Pedy to Whyalla.

Lucky me, indeed. What a great spot. This will get marked as a great bush camping spot if I’m ever out this way again. Thanks for showing me this place Rum Rustler, we had a lot of fun driving right up next to the cache, which was an easy find thanks to excellent co-ords. Gets a ‘fav’ tick from me [^]. Cheers.
Yes, Lucky Us - the rain held off for our walk to GZ - hoofed it in from the Stock Route camp for another but quite different view over another lake. Thanks for the hunt Rum Rustler.
4wd got us to within 5m from the cache. Awesome lonely location. We left the lights on so the next person will have to turn them off.
After getting a FTF nearby we came back up the track to get this one.
We drove to within 5 metres of the cache. Easy.
After quick look at the lake and dunes we were on our way to Kingoonya.

Had been hesitant about taking this track, constabulary advised against, local deli felt why not?
Turned out to be an easy enough drive ifa little corrugated at times, rewarded with reapeated masses of Sturt Desert Pea.
Lucky us!
Thanks for the cache!

Late logging this one after our PDA died with all our info on, but our mapping helped us out, just took a while!
Found on our way back home after our Kimberley trek and a detour north to avoid getting home too soon.
TNLN. Looks like a good camp spot, but a bit early for us to stop today. Thanks Rum Rustler.

Taking the long way round, Lake Gairdner to Home via Kingoonya, Glendambo, Woomera, Port Augusta, Adelaide and Murray Bridge and a number of caches along the way. The things we do for a FTF.
