If someone has a small M&M container I would be greatly appreciative of the replacement.

Reperio at 1425. Grabbed the pooch and headed down to this one with Darwinian. While the dog cooled off in the wet sand, we got to searching for the cache. The shady tree was very unforgiving when touched, as it sported a nasty prick with it's small spikes, and after finding the cache, I hit my head on it just for a good measure.
Gratias.

found before an afternoon swim, this is a great climbing tree, except for the thorns, tftc
We took the dog down to the water to find this one, lots of others had the same idea. Great tree, gd spot to park up. Found the cache eventually and headed back up to the park to wash the sand from the boxer dogs mouth!!
#542, found at 19:02.
Took us quite some searching, but we found it. What a tree!

A Huge thank you to the Bay Pirates for their maintenance of this very very wet cache.
Thank you so much.
I have moved to Victoria and unfortunately have to archive caches when in disrepair.
This cache will be around a lot longer because of your thoughtfulness.
May the cache gods bless you with 100 straight finds without a DNF.

Nice tree to hide from sun.

Found nearby gz but exposed, so we moved it a little to where we thought it should be. TFTC
Not so much a DNF but when we popped out on the beach some muggles had setup their chairs and were enjoying a wine right at GZ.
Mrs Morgan and geograndson found this one. They were very proud of their efforts. What a special spot on the beach.Great for a BBQ and swim. Log was washed out and still a bit damp. TFTC SL

We were out geo'ing today with the grandparents aka The Morgans 2320 in the Bay area. We arrived at the nearby park and Mr Burners cooked up a BBQ storm, while finishing lunch geo Grandma & Mini Burners snuck away and got this one without the rest of us knowing that the cache was even there. They proudly returned with the treasure, signed the log and returned it safely to his home. What a lovely spot for lunch with a cache thrown in for good measure:) TFTC
Nice quick find after the dog walking muggles left when the rain started. Lovely tree I could see my Mum sitting under here when we were kids, in the shade whilst my brother and I swam. TFTC
Fitzy and I came to Newcastle for a wedding and made the most of the weekend by coming up to Nelson Bay to find a few caches.
Not many people around today, which is a great thing. What lovely views, and we're loving being near the water.
Glorious day to be outside.

Thought we would make a day of caching at Nelsons Bay so ibar29 was dropped at our place and off we went for a fantastic day.
This was a quick find in a nice quiet area.

On a windy day this was a nice protected beach. Ms S went barking up the wrong tree but Mr S made the find in the end.
Found on a delightful day caching in the area. I had just sat down to log the cache when the same muggle as at the last cache came past and gave me a funny look! Thanks to MADSTARS for another cache.
It has obviously been quite windy around here during the last few days. I have actually found this cache before, but didn't log it at the time. When I returned to log it today, I found the (very light) cache sitting out on the sand a metre or so away from its proper location!! Also the log page inside, whilst not wet, has probably been wet in the past and is now quite fragile (or perhaps it has got like this from lots of folding). The log page needs replacing.
I solved the wind problem by finding a small rock and a banksia cone and hiding the cache (back in its location) with these more weighty objects on top. TFTC, Madstars!

A beautiful spot but Mrs H was bitten on the ankle by a rogue dog whilst on the beach which put a bit of a dampener on things. Fortunately it didn't break the skin but her socks now have a hole in them and she was a bit shaken. Reluctant to return along the beach for a while we decided to have a nice walk from here to the next 4 or 5 caches before heading back along the roads to the car.
Thanks,

Day two of theheadchef and spikeymikey's excellent adventures to Nelson Bay, and a nice find, I did not mind this one, even despite the enormous amount of leaf litter on the beach. Another cleanup job for Madstars.
Found easily with TheHeadChef.
Rather uninspiring in the rain! Tree is pretty close to the sand. You'd have to be good to get much shade from this tree when on the beach.

Great spot, but unfortunately container has sprung a leak - small hole in the bottom
GPS all over the place, but found it at about 9pm after getting caught in plenty of spider webs while looking about the bushes. Been to this beach plenty of times and did not realise there was a cache here. TFTC.
This cache was fairly easy to find.
When i found it, it was very wet so i waited until 8:00pm to take it home. I dried it off as well as i could and protected it in a small plastic bag before returning it again at 7:30am the next morning. I tried to choose a time when nobody would go geocaching for it so i am very sorry to any one who treid to find it at this time.
Please make sure it is safely inside its plastic bag after you log your visit. You will also need to bring a pen.

Muggles galore on a Monday, but got it nice and easy. Beautiful spot on a beautiful day!
#12/25 from Sydney on a weekend in the Bay. Got up early for sunrise, but as it was raining, just sat in the car waiting for it to stop. Went off looking for more caches as I had been buisy finding them over the past 2 dats. This one was easy, and also a lovely little spot to spend on a hot summer day reading a book. Loved it.
Found at 11.22am on Bigmickb's Nelson Bay cache assault day. Was off the Tea Gardens ferry at 10:55am, and within half an hour was here, picking up my first find for the day. One down, eleven to go! Game on! TFTC.
#33 SherpaDog Attack. Saw some muggles on a ponder coming towards us, so quickly grabbed cache, signed and ran away. TFTC SL
Nice quick find, although for some reason I'm, not a fan of these trees. I think it stems back to climbing them in my childhood.

The dogs and their owners all know this is a good spot too.
Had to wait for them to all walk bye before I grabbed the cache.
Pretty spot but a cold yucky day (in Summer?).

We are having a great time finding Australian caches. As usual, we see great places that only the locals know about - why we love the sport. Logging is more challenging as Scoutboy and i fight over the internet access. TFTC!
I love the trees along the beach, and the shade they provide, but the water was not particularly inviting today, being full of rotting seaweed. If I was a fisherman, then it probably would have been perfect! An easy find, and another great MADSTARS cache, thanks guys.

We both had the day off so we decided to do our own little ‘invasion’ of Port Stephens. Our first full on all day effort. It was almost high tide when we arrived so we had to make a dash to GZ between waves. The high tide did mean nobody was on the beach which helped. I can understand why the tree is popular, great spot. TNLNSL TFTC. [Cache 110]
A bit chilly today but the geokids still liked playing in the water. What a lovely spot to spend a lazy hot Sunday. Beautiful tree. Log abit wet may need a ziplock bag next maintenance stop.

An enjoyable, albeit short, walk along the beach. Ideally it would be great to do a long walk between several of these nearby caches, but there just isn't time on an invasion weekend - so we just have to enjoy the ambience in small doses along the way! TFTC.
Found as part of the Canberra Invasion to Newcastle/Nelsons Bay/Port Stephens and surrounding areas with Tealby, Tankengine and Mtrax. This one was day two and it was going to be a long one..........
Did someone say Beer!!!!! Yep, I'm sure Redtag and I made up for anyone needing a drink later in the night

Found as part of the McWinTrexO'n team cache invasion tour of the area, found this as part of our extended walk along the beach collecting cache finds. Decided not to join McPhans excercise class, but we were wondering if he was looking for caches or blue worms at the GZ.

An easy find on a very pleasant walk along the beach, followed by fish and chips on the Marina with McPhan, RexTrex and BigON on our three days around Nelson Bay. Thanks MADSTARS.
Found on a beach stroll (except for Jogger McPhan) whilst out with Team McWinTrexON. Thanks too MADSATARS for taking the trouble to do the cache maintenance checks - they class you as a fine fellow and made for a great invasion weekend.
2114. Stupid McPhan decides that he is young again and announces to the rest of Team McWintrexON that e is going to run along the beach to the ext cache. After 50 yards the lungs were burning and the knees wobbly (surprsingly the legs weren't and remained upright and solid). Fearing the usual scorn and ridicule I'm subjected to (I've logged first so you'll believe my story) I had to keep going. Luckily by the time the others arrived at GZ I had recovered most of the breath that I had carelessly dropped while running.
Another fine location in this area of abundant fine locations.

Returned to the Bay for a weekend holiday and decided to do a few caches with the O'Spurplers on a nice warm winters day. You just have to love this area - cant wait to hopefully return in the future !! Nice easy find. Left Malaysian coin. TFTC
That was quite a funky tree, and the red flowers too. Did this one at night. Cheers Gav [4102]

great spot easy quick find, but there was lots of shade when we were there, hehe, thanx for the cache.
Still moving on, hunger pains setting in on young Tamykian. The tree not to shady at the moment being winter. The crew still eager to find more..this is good.
