As this cache has been out of action for too long, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

No sign of cache @ the co-ordinates. Had a good search with MatipoKatipo. Mayhap the owner should go have a look-see?
Today was another fun-filled day of laughs and caching for Team KFNZ/Vamber.
Unfortunately someone forgot to advise this cache that we were in the area so, like the previous cache we attempted, it appeared to also be "on holiday"! Judging by the number of DNFs, I think it has been on holiday for a while so maybe time for archiving???

Thanks for replacing...except I still can't find it! If it was replaced identically to before then I suspect it is gone again. Otherwise, I don't know!
Will check this out and make sure it is in place before Mega. Given all the gales of late it could well have gone again. We will wait till after the wind expected in the next couple of days before replacing.
Finally got to this one after attempting for it a while back.. Thanks for the cache
A pretty quick find. Looked a few places then spotted what I suspected was the hiding spot. A nice hide. TFTC.
I had a good look for this one some months ago when it was listed as M.I.A. I was pleased to see that it had been re-listed, or should I say re-enlisted. However it was quickly found, and I was also pleased to find some missing information.
Had a look for this one on the way down, and on the way back up. Nope couldn't spot it, even when I pushed my head out through the rails. Suspect, I did find the attachement method though (previous finder just confirmed)--minus the cache. It probably needs to be checked on.
Couldnt find this one, and there aint that many places to hide something of that size up here.
Couldn't find this one, however did find some fishing line with nothing attached - so not sure whether the cache was supposed to be attached to this or if it was just a red herring!
Found it by accident while out for a run. If you know what you're looking for these things really do jump out at you. TFTC
Made an Auckland Expidition with Nova Lightining to collect the cycle trail and over at Kauri Point, 36th of 60 for the day, Left home at 5.50am, finally made it back home at 7pm, what a great day.
Made good use of the bikes after the cycle trail and before starting our tramp, TFTC

[ Found early afternoon. Took a time to find this clever hide, nearly gave up.... Trying to "tick-off" a few in the Greenhithe area today, specifically around the bridge. Interesting as a pedestrian, surprising what you miss as a motorist !!!!! TFTC ]
Checked and found the cache was MIA. It has been replaced and is ready to do battle again.
Searched all over but simply couldn't locate the cache, but did find lots of used fishline.
Unable to find! From the pictures it looked like it was behind a sign. However, there aren't any signs Anymore!
A beautiful day for ticking off some caches along Upper Harbour Drive, and unfortunately this was out only DNF of the day.
Really cool hide! Loved the bikeride, the vierw was really nice-as the sun was setting. I'm really suprised it hasent been dropped yet, or thrashed by the weather.
Couldn't find this one.. Yet reading the logs of the day after someone found it.. Would be really interested to know how we missed this one..
Nice hide. Amazing that it hasn't been dropped into the tide. So pleased that the battle truce has been achieved; this is such a vulnerable location.
Thats four from four this morning and the Northern troops are advacing to the West.
TFTC sl (Needs a new log though- I should have read the previous log and could have done so.

Great place to hind a cache, didn't take long to find this one, again finding it in the dark is harder
Cool idea for a hide.... however previous finder had not sealed lid tight enough and contents are now with the fishes. Added a very makeshift log book and bag for you ... if the next cacher has a better log sheet we won't be offended if you replace LOL
Nice way to enjoy the sunset, walking along the the bridge and locating caches.

On a mega cache mission. ooommooand narwhal out with the hunting hobbits. a whole lota fun.
In the area and happy to see this one back in business so parked on the west side of the bridge and made the stroll to GZ. Confirmed that I had been looking in the right place last time - much happier to find a cache waiting for me this time though instead of nothing. Looks pretty secure too! TFTC
Out with Private Willbuild today and need to report that this cache is MIA and needs to be replaced urgently so other patrols are not as disapointed as we were.
Nope, had a really good search around but came up with nothing. It must be really well hidden.
Was hoping to find this one after it was unavailable last time I was on the bridge. Got to GZ and noticed something lying away from where the casual observer should be looking - however on closer inspection I came up short (literally). Had a look around the general area but nothing jumped out at me. Happy to provide more info to kiwicouple to confirm if I was in the right spot or not - in any case, I'll be back.
Finally a rare window of opportunity coincided with a gale-free evening, and we were able to replace the cache.
All up and running again so . . . Let the Battle Commence (again).

We definitely will be replacing the missing cache. Our apologies for not having done so sooner.
We grow a seasonal flower crop for export, and this year have the biggest crop we have experienced. We have not had a day (or night) off for the last 2 months, often working 24/7 with only naps to keep us going. Caching of any sort has just gone by the by.
We will endeavour to find some time in the next week to put the replacement cache out.

Found this ages ago but noticed on a walk today it was not In position or there at all....Maybe a check is required. Happy caching.
Being from a Neutral side, we wondered how the Battle got started, so it was an interesting and entertaining read. Found cache without any problems as there was no one else on the bridge when we arrived at GZ. A very neat hide. However, half the duck tape holding the container had come off, so tried to tape it back as best we could before gently replacing the cache back where we found it. Maintenance is advisable. TFTC Kiwicouple.
Just doing our patriotic duty on this fine day. Many thanks for your war efforts.
GPS was spot on, but where is the tin - looked around, and spotted a thingy, this look unusual and here it was.
Loved this one. SL TFTC

found with yo mum on an epic powertrail. the caches sort of blur into each other when they're this close together, but think this is the one that we really enjoyed..?
thanks!!!
thanks!!!
There is an aweful lot of eclpse tins here on the bridge. The battle has left a lot of terrible injuries. Thanks for the fun guys.
Had my bicycle in the boot and took a easy ride down to GZ. Quick easy find. TFTC
Sun back out in full force for this one, a hot, muggy evening. Another one to add to the list. First time I can say we were glad for the war to have taken place! TFTC with Rebel98.
I say, these operatives sure know how to make themselves undetectable! Great hiding skills.
Cheers,
Blarghster.

Man, we didn't find it the first time but we tried again, because we told us it it can't be too hard, I mean there really aren't to many hiding places ON A BRIDGE. So on second atempt Momohead and me discovered it pretty much in the same second. Nice hiding spot. TFTC from Germany.
We decided to have a good look at the battle-zone today. Quite a carnage of caches close together. We did them all by MTB. Good hide. All quiet today. No corpse, even no fish hanging about anymore. TFTC
Into the battle zone with the light bike brigade. My pony usually goes through this region quite a bit quicker but today exercised caution to make sure we completed the mission. TFTC
And what a battle it was! However it is great that friends can reunite now that a truce between North and West has now been negotiated and a disamourment treaty signed.
Of course - that's where it is - had GPS pointing to the road - wondered how you would hide one there.
Did not see the out of place object until we had searched all other possibilities first - dah!
