Out for a lovely day caching with Lycurgon, Anastriel and Small Pooka for Easter Monday! TFTC Signed as LARPS
Our final cache of the day with Team LARPs. We had grabbed the co-ordinates earlier in our adventure for the day, and I ensured that the waypoint was updated. Upon arriving at GZ we spotted a likely area and I soon had the cache in hand, a good size cache. Thanks for the cache and adventure. #1699
Got the coordinates needed during our cache trail walk and stopped to grab this before lunch. TFTC
Kids have cabin fever...met a friend at Catalina Cafe so had to stop for some caches despite the rain. Had to claim this while in the area, which we found coords for on our last adventure with Gidgetster. Kids very happy to find some treasure!
Out for a bike ride with NurseDr, cragger, laval and family.
Had found this information quite easily and so after the numbers were plugged into the GPS it was a nice quick find by laval.
Thanks for the cache - last one for the day before the rain starts moving in on us.

Found the required info so incorporated finding it in todays lengthy walk. Nice quick find. TFTC
A nice quick find. I grabbed to coords on the way toward Albany, and made the find, well now. Thanks for placing your cache.
I'm in Auckland and I am exploring the region while I am based here. Today was a dry day, overcast but dry. I borrowed by bro's bike and cruised around the place. I had a great time.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Solved the other evening in a Puzzle Solving session....
Good hiding place....nice swag....All good here .
Good hiding place....nice swag....All good here .
There was some constriction nearby, so I parked a bit farther away to get this one. TFTC.
Out in the area with Pazza2 and her GeoTerrors, we picked up the coords along the way, and were only too pleased to be able to visit the camp and reinforce Westie dominance in the war zone. Tftc
Finding this was a nice bonus today and a nice way to finish it. Bertie made a quick find here. Thanks Kiwicouple!
After locating the coordinates for this one earlier in the day, we needed to find this one for closure. We were able to park very close to GZ, which was very busy today. One of us stood guard, while the other found the cache in the first place we looked. TFTC
Out doing some geocaching with Albert the Geohound today and after visiting a few caches in the area realised we would be able to come and get this one too which was a nice unexpected surprise.
Drove over to the area and parked up - looks like things are changing around here but we had GZ to ourselves. Wasn't in the first place I looked, but was in the second so didn't have to look for long at all. Good sized cache here, thanks. All good here and thanks for the cache.

I have had half the solution for well over a year now, but to my delight I stumbled across the rest of the intel today. Decided to make my way over for one last cache before heading home for dinner, TFTC
It's (almost) the weekend and I've got a car to drive which my friend has leant me. I finished my course mid afternoon and after getting dripped off in Greenhithe I picked up the car, dropped my friend at his wife's work and headed back to my accommodation, but only after an attempt at a few caches, just a moderate 3 today. That rain looks a bit ominous too.
When checking through pocket query a couple of nights ago I noticed a write note and was surprised to see I had enough numbers to know where the cache was hidden. Not sure about the need for a key though so approached with some trepidation. I must have had the numbers for 2 years now and only just made the connection, duh!
Parked a short (safe) distance from G Z and soon had the cache in hand. Nice idea for an unknown cache, all good and replaced as found. T F T P and C kiwicouple

Stumbled upon coords today so figured we had to pick this cache up close to home, had a good look but no luck, so read some logs and wondered where a medium sized cache could hide, had another feel around and felt the cache! Nice little find to finish off caches on this bridge, thank you (:
We thankfully stumbled on the key to the POW camp today so went to check that it hadn't been invaded by the Northies. Fortunately we found it still in Westie's hands and long may it stay that way.
After reclaiming the bridge and dealing with Westie insurgents behind the front lines, Kiwiscot & Kiwi now on a rescue mission. POW camp successfully raided. Northern troops liberated. Western prisoners handed over to the commandant.
Nice to clear this away after a solution some time ago.
Long may the armistice last.

We were up in Hobsonville today so detoured to finally locate the POW camp !
Good position for it !
Good position for it !
Had keys for a couple of months, just had not been over that way for awhile.
This find completes my 100/100 challenge, and the satisfaction of finding a cache that was last found 14 months ago.
The GZ has changed dramatically over the years, and so has the cache container! NINO the POW's looked safe and secure although I am sure their numbers have reduced over the years as they made their escape with each visit! Clever hide, thanks for the adventure.

I had been looking for the second "key" for some time now and only stumbled onto it today. So armed with the extra "information" checked out the prisoners, all seemed to be well and as they were having such an easy time of it, decided to stay. So I signed the log and beat a hasty retreat.
With essential info retrieved, our smallest soldier was able to rescue the lads. She decided they were all fine, aside from the girly coloured one, who decided he would be safer in her hands!! lol

Freed the prisoners tonight after having found the required info. I really like the idea for this cache. TFTC
Out and about with the Future Finder for a few hours of caching this afternoon. Spied some interesting information in another cache so mosied on over here for a look. Initially I was left scratching my head and wondering if this was all a bit of a jape...But when I actually went and had a proper look I soon spied the cache. Cheers for the puzzle cache!
Hadn't managed to find the key in any of the caches, but decided to try my luck at finding this one. Found the cache unguarded. POW were in good health, surprisingly given their filthy living conditions.
We had been intending to try this one for a while, and today was a lovely sunny day: ideal for a spot of POW liberation after school. Expected it to be tricky, as it hasn't been found for a while, and we were prepared for potential failure. However we found it fairly easily. Mr Just-turned-five found it, possibly due to his interesting perspective. Thank you for the cool cache.
Had a furtive look both sides of 'the Berlin wall' but to no avail more concerned with ZorkV's riding skills with my priceless original Gary Fisher and where the dogs of war had wondered off to
No worries with access to the area and the find, although I didnt need a key as there was no lock??? Thanks.
Despite the new road layout and the ongoing work in the area, the cache is still accessible in its original position.
Loved the walk from the top of the bridge where I'd parked all the way down to the POW camp and back again. Hardly anyone on the bridge which was surprising and I was able to break into the ammo can without being spotted once I'd located it - though it turned out to be a lot easier to get into than I expected, I'm sure the travel slug enjoyed the journey anyway. The POWs all seemed happy so left them be for the next person - TFTC
Managed to pick up the key in the West's Spy Base yesterday and couldn't resist a quick outing late this arvo. The cache was quickly located and under the cover of evening we managed a quick getaway without being spotted by the sentry on duty. Key was returned to Spy Base. TFTC
We had to dodge a few convoys on the road to free the prisoners but our assignment was completed. We are ready to accept our next mission.
Played dead as they were taking prisoners so they passed me up and now able to get back to base and report where the hidden cache lays!
no padlock on this one anymore?? good cache anyhow, great idea behind it
found with yo mum

An unexpected surprise. I collected the bug at the beginning of the battle and end the enemy were insight. We fired all of our ammo at them and they were defeated. That must be why we found this nearly empty container.
After two hours of torture the slug finally gave in and spoke. I'm not a fan of violence, but it was for the good of many troops! TFTC from Germany.
Once I retrieved the access keys and location, I headed off to the camp. My goodness, it must be against many internation laws to keep a POW in a place like this! An operative could lose blood...
Cheers,
Blarghster.
P.S. No lock?

Swooped in on a lightening incursion into the bridge zone, making use of intel gathered on a previous expedition. Inspected the camp, and all seems to be in order.

Left the gate unlocked, now that peace reigns,
Demoted the guard, and left some rations for him. Placed him within the confines of the jail, and escorted the POWs home.

No chance of a mass breakout as there was a muggle waiting close by, just managed to tunnel in and sign the camp logbook TNLN SL 1630hr TFTC
After avoiding getting cut by the razor wire of the camp defenses, I found the gates to the camp unlocked. I entered the camp only to find that all the prisoners had already escaped and all that remained were some dead bodies, some old camp papers and some left behind trinkets. I left my mark on the papers to prove that I did try to do my duty, if anyone should question me.
Found the key and the co-ords for this one earlier in the week. Was expecting to see a padlock at GZ?? TFTC
Noticed earlier in the week while planning my Auckland raid that both intel slugs had left the area. Contacted both holders of the slugs in an attempt to open a dialogue to ensure I could find this cache while in the area. Disappointed that neither responded to the messages. Later found the backup intel at the West’s Spy Base, but it was too late by then. Maybe another time.
Device discovered while sweeping the area for abandoned and unexploded ordinance at midnite. Using a mine (cache) detector we approached this very carefully after intel suggested this was armed but in a locked down mode, as we approached it was obvious that at some stage the weapon had indeed been de-fused and was now harmless.
Taking no chances we proceeded towards the device cautiously wearing our bomb disposal uniforms & by remote control robot disengaging the clasp by means of a dollop of C-4 High Exposive. Unfortunately Corporal Kiwigary seriously overestimated the amount of explosive needed & now the device (cache) is now in bits, with all the prisoners escaped!.
Fortunately, Major G-2 has considerable device (cache) building skills, so alls well.(even managed to get the prisoners all back with an offer to watch an unexpergated video of a local event.-- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gsuYv7-RZNE )
Thanks for the fun, & remember,----never let truth stand in the way of a good cache log!!!

BookwormMum, Kayaknkiwi and I visited the POW's in the camp and can verify that all seem to be well fed and watered. Santa Claus even came to visit the troops. . . Woohoo! TNLN T4TC!
Yehaaa, just love these camo's...!! All goes well in the home front even the little men, but I'm sure some want to fly! Thanks for the adventure along the away. Took. TB. Left with big smile.! TFTC!
Was about to head home when the opportunity to grab this came up while out with Kayaknkiwi and Seattle's Best. Was surprised to find the camp unlocked, but well hidden nonetheless. TFTC
Was about to head home after an afternoon's caching with Seattle's Best and Kayaknkiwi, but couldn't resist the chance to grab this when the key dropped into our hands. Was surprised to find the camp unlocked, but the POWs hadn't escaped. TFTC!
10.40am. Unlocked the gates, then realised they were never locked! Assisted the geocoin and the TB to escape and make their way to neutral ground. Relocked(?) the gates.
Thank you. David.

Found camp with doors unlocked as previously noted. Tried to remedy this but were unable to unfortunately.
Left 2 prisoners but not sure how long it will be before they escape...

UN Major Ted sent his batman for a quick check on the UN troops on the ground in the "War Zone" and to gather intel for the up and coming Cease Fire.
Things seemed to be a little quieter in the Zone with lots of civilians in the streets today.
Stumbled across this POW camp and as others have said the gates were unlocked. Those left behind seemed to be happy to stay or had the lost their minds with all the "water torture". Amnesty International will be informed.

We have been to every battle site today to try and track down the key & co-ords so we can visit the POW camp. Quick find and now realise why they have no POWs - they leave the gates open . T4TC.
Arrived to find the gates unlocked with only the wounded left behind. Organised an air-lift to evacuate them but was unable to secure the gates so as to fool the guards.
Cheers for the cache.

A temporary key has been placed in West's Spy Base as the Gold Travel Slug has gone AWOL to the South Island taking the POW Camp Key A with it. The Military Police are hot on his trail.
POW Camp is once more secure and full of prisoners. A guard is keeping a close watch over them. Please ensure locking mechanism is correctly in place before leaving the site.

17:35 - Well had to report that POW was found to be empty of all prisoners due to security breach at site. I have reported this issue up the chain of command.
Also left the key to make security testing better, which we picked up from an agent from the North. Who happened to be walking over the bridge at the time?.
Thanks Guys for the cache.

Liberation of at least one of the POW's completed. Left a tank behind as this might be useful in thier battle for freedon. Last cache in the war zone on the 65th anniversary of D- Day. Passed on key to other freedom fighters.
Came armed with two sets of keys in case the Northern agents had done a dirty on us. Entered the camp and proceeded to torture the northern prisoners and relieved them of their coinage.

1310 Hours. Swung by and set a few prisoners free under cover of a thickshake and a Bigmac. Held the slug at gun point till he had opened the POW camp. Then hancuffed him and threw him into the Norths POW camp.

Having been given clearance to visit the POW facility, a quick stop by to check on the POW re-education program progress. Happy to report one prisoner has successfully been turned to our side so he has been taken and will be sent soon to infiltrate one of the enemy positions in the near future. TFTC and FTF #198!
