What a shame, I had a chance to log this one last year, but alas I did not work it out.
I returned this year after it had gone .. I hope someone adopts it and finds a similar place to hide once the activity is all finished.
Keep up the good work Sydney Geocachers, I enjoy each visit!

Yes, it's gone - standing next to gz now. There is something else instead of previous structure. I have a photo if owner wants it.
Having found this before I can confirm it is gone... in fact when I walked past yesterday the entire structure it was on at GZ has been removed during construction. No 'point' looking until the owner has replaced it
It looks like Marc hasnt logged on since May, so he may have quit caching Hopefully not, it was a top hide

Went to look for this one today, but after reading previous logs I wasn't expecting to find it. When I got to GZ there is a lot of construction and fences preventing to be able to get to cache. I think this one has gone to the 'cache farm' in the sky!
Went out with a work friend for a few lunch time caches and didn't find this one. Apparently the structure that it is on is now gone (my friend had already found this one previously and I was hoping to pick it up on the way to another cache). So the cache may need replacing.
Made an attempt on this with a friend, but due to huge crowds and a large amount of construction work, we gave up on it after 20 minutes.
Did this with my Dad (Toadmiester7) when we came into Sydney for the day. Very Sneaky hide in a very busy place. TFTC
we have visited this location a few days ago, but the gps directed me to the wrong place quite far away from the final. after some little help we were able to find it in the second attempt. TFTC Loiti
After a desperate search with jumpy coordinates on both GPS devices I spotted the nice container together with Loiti in our second attempt. Thanks for the hint.

We loved this one. We have been out caching without our gps because the airline lost our bags. So far we have found 6 out of 6. TFTC
Capellaman- After a search this morning, deceided that it could be on the site where there is lots of work going on at the moment, part of the area is covered up due building works. So will wait and see if there are anymore DNFs before returning.
After 20mins or so loitering suspiciously on a Saturday afternoon, I admitted defeat.
didn´t find it.
In the moment is the area coverd because there is a workzone?
Maybe others gc´s couldn´t found it?

Very sneaky. Found it fairly quickly after having a good look. Thanks.

Nice hide - we have seen more complicated ones of this type (so it was not too difficult after all - well, I guess we were lucky

I had to come to the City office today for work. As grumpy as this made me, I decided that ticking off a cache would make the situation more bearable!
I had tried and failed here before, and certainly the lunch time rush on a Friday threatened to derail my plans, but thankfully, as luck would have it, today's excursion was fruitful! Cache was found within seconds, if only unraveling the log was that quick!
Cheers!

I finally found this one! I had tried twice before but my GPSr had played tricks on me and kept pointing me about 5 to 10m from true GZ. I'm really glad to be able to tick this one off my list. The muggle factor here at lunch time is about as bad as it gets in the city. TFTC.
Would have looked forever for this one if i didn't have Flozza1 with me. Great hiding place

My second attempt at this cache. GPS pretty flakey and clues had me looking for something completely different until a bit of lateral thinking led me to examine some other nearby features more closely. Ah ha! Very cool. TFTC, Biggles.
THINK I know what I'm looking for, but with only 15m precision (phone gps), i'm not digging around any further. Will have to return with better gps and more time on my hands!
Gotya! I revisited GZ with a hint from RAGs. After 15 minutes of searching, I broke my promise to myself and called him. Just as we were saying our hellos I spotted it. Thank you RAGs for helping me get my geosense back without giving it away totally. Tough hide, tougher location.
I tried long and hard to get this one but to no avail. I just could not see a likely candidate. Maybe all the work being down to the buidlings has obscurred the cache sight? Maybe I will have a chance at some later date to find this cache.
Thank you

Thought I had some idea where this was, but didn't see it. On such a busy day it was hard to do much more exploring.
finally figured it out. After retrieving, which was easy in the rain with umbrella cover, took cache up street to sign log in lottery office as i didn,t have a pen and log was full. excellent hide. TFTC
It all makes sense when you finally find the cache.
Thanks Marc for the hunt. Good location.
Thanks Marc for the hunt. Good location.
We tried for this the previous afternoon amidst soooooo many muggles and with the clue seeming very odd. Today, the clue maid sense straight away and we were soon gone.
Once we found the right location to begin the search with five sets of eyes the clever cache was quick at hand tftc
I have an idea where it is but it was just muggle city when I was here this afternoon, On the list for the next visit.
Loved this one! Picked it up on the way in during peak hour while everyone was too busy rushing in to work to notice me.
Despite the four star difficulty rating, spotted pretty quickly; but we did use the clue.
Gosh, this 'City Caching' is not easy! Followed the previous logs and used Google Earth to determine the approximate whereabouts as the GPS was all over the place then headed to GZ while the other hafl was at a meeting. Wandered back and forth for a few minutes before finally stopping for a think which led me to the most obvious spot ! Nice hide and great to see something a little out of the ordinary. TFTC
Hi from NZ
Hi from NZ
Second hack at this one. Didn't bother with the GPSr this time, but just used eyes and thought where it would be logical to put the cache. Did have a hint from a friendly cacher on general vicinity, so things were narrowed down. Still took a bit of time to spot the cache, but it was all about thinking logically about "brethren" (see the clue) and how the object concerned is organised, to be a bit vague. Nice cache container! Pleased to get this cache, as didn't think I would find it after the first hack at it. TFTC. Kicked myself when I found the cache, as it is just so obvious once you have it --- but until then, well, that is a different story. Find it, and you will know what I mean.
[font=Comic Sans Ms]I was explaining geocaching to my daughters boyfriend yesterday as we visited the Sydney Tower and said that this would be the sort of place you could hide an urban cache and actually picked the cache without realising!
Today I came back to the area with my GPS and was gobsmacked to find that I actually had it yesterday
Nice container

I found this one quickly despite my GPS sending me 4 different directions. TFTC SL
Finally. Many Many many muggles around today at lunch time. I had been to a meeting wearing a suit and because of the location a man with a briefcase doing an "inspection" and then having a sit down to write his report was quite ok. Tftc nice one.
#150 I had been thinking about this one for awhile but couldn't imagine where it would be in such a public place. After a little questioning of Ab as to my initial thoughts I still had no idea. Decided to ring Ab back and after being given the cryptic clue given to him by Zalgariath and a little guidance the cache was in hand. No pencil though on a city cache own writing implement is essential. Great container. TFTC. SAC. Envs Crew

After getting some additional help from Zalgariath on this one, we concentrated on a specific area of the GZ. This being our 8th or so visit to the area, we found the cache after 15 seconds of looking, and wondered if it was there all along!! After signing the log and replacing the cache, we rechecked to see if it was secure, and noticed we must have lost the pencil. We looked and covered our tracks but could not find said pencil. Sorry!!! TFTC
After receiving an additional cryptic hint from Zalgariath, it as back to GZ for another hunt today. After a while sitting down and casually examining various things, it came to me! A very well camoflaged cache, but it is not in a bent, clear container! Both log and pencil were inside, so I signed it and re-hid, before rejoining the lunchtime Christmas shopping throng!

Hehehe it's still there and the construction does not interfere... how do I know? The answer is clear! Although the receiver was way out of wack, and a thousand muggles moved forth and back, the cache was spied, well hidden at that! But to replace it, now that was a bit harder, for a workman stood near and would move no farther! So I pocketed the prize and went off to have lunch, returning soon after, just on the hunch, that the muggle would tire and all would be safe, to stealthily place the nasty little cache!

Returned today for yet another look for this one - it was quieter at 7.15pm, but still had many muggles around. Scoured all around what I presumed to be GZ, but had no joy. I will seek a further hint & return!

No luck for me either - with all the work going on there I wasn't able to get much of a search going and GPS was acting up.
No luck....the gps was spinning us around like crazy...will have to return another day...
Well I did not find this one. It would be mean to try and blame the poor GPS for this one, or even the thousands of muggles that I hid amongst, but I am going to say that I just didn't find it in the allocated time allowed!
Lot of muggles everywhere, but nobody is interested about one odd guy with gprs. Difficulty is too high in my opinion. Nice cache anyways, TFTC. Greetings from Finland!
Found this in the first place I looked as luck would have it. There is a bit of construction work happening round here. Took my new found prize away to log before returning it to its hidey hole.
Thanks
Thanks
170 - This one took a bit of searching on the part of 'BGowza' and I but eventually our observations paid off.... TFTC
'Gowza' spotted this one after a little contemplating where it might be but signed it off stealthily without raising any suspicion from nearby muggles TFTC
I don't know how many times I've been to GZ searching for this one, but I'm on nodding terms with the construction crew and local security patrollers!
Finally, I found it today at lunchtime, grabbed it, and Ran Quickly to the local food hall in World Record time. I ordered a Japanese Ramen noodle meal, and sat down to wait with the cache burning a hole in my pocket. Finally my meal arrived, and I checked my watch. The cache had been away from GZ for 9:58.
I ate as Fast as Possible, then Dashed back to return the cache to its clever hiding place. Finally, I checked my watch again. 19:19 elapsed. I hope nobody had been looking for it in that time. TFTC!

I found it after a couple of minutes of looking. The clue was useful as it helped me focus my search on certain sorts of things. The construction boards are still up, but they don't affect the cache at all. There were loads of muggles about, but if they wonder what you're doing lurking around a particular spot they're usually gone in thirty seconds anyway. Thanks - I enjoyed that find.
I think I know where this is, but there are too many people around in the middle of the day to retrieve it stealthily. I'll be back later to see if I'm right.
I hate posting a "Did not find", but I've been to GZ three times now, and I must surely be getting noticed by security cameras. It won't be long before an AFP clown asks me why I keep loitering and fiddling around with the construction work.
But seriously, is this cache still here? It seems a little strange that the entire area is full of temporary hoarding, concrete barriers, tarpaulins and aluminium railings. Will this cache still be here when all the renovations are finished?
There are some holes at ground level that could hold a cache, but I doubt it's there - the finders indicate that retrieving it is easy, and they wouldn't say that if they had to get down and shove their hands into a hole with dozens of people walking past. So that leads me to think it's somewhere else, perhaps around waist level or a little lower.
Should I go back and try again. . .and again . . ?

After I checked into the hotel this was the first one to do. Right next to our hotel. TFTH.
A tapered pencil has been placed in the plastic tube. Pull the log out by the pencil tip to remove the log from the cache, then pull the tapered pencil from the plastic tube. When finished using the pencil make sure it is pushed firmly back in the plastic tube (not too hard just hard enough that the pencil will not fall out if the plastic tube is held upside down and shook)
No white plastic tube and no pencil as mentioned unless the white plastic tube part is a play on words of some sort......stood around observing, then zeroed in on a likely area for the quick find. TFTC!!
Spent a day walking around lovely Sydney city with my friends Team Gotcha....visited many parts of the city that I haven't been to before...TFTC
TFTC. This is very tricky and very cleverily placed. Fortunately, I was with some local geocachers and with a 2 gps, a blackberry and some luck we found the little bugger.
Found after some retail therapy. Locating the cache with not too much fuss but then realised that further purchases was required. A bright and shiny new pen bought, then back to log the find.
I can see why this cache has a high level of difficulty. No luck last night when workers had blocked the footpath off and security would not let Rudi and I get even close. But back thisafternoon, we quickly had the cache in hand. TFTH SL
We had to return to this GZ as on the night the footpath was closed to walkers. Returned tonight on my way to dinner and had the cache in hand quickly. TFTH SL
I walked around for a bit and after the gizmo brought me back to the same general area I decided it had to be there. Muggle's of course are everywhere and there's constuction going on but I eventually saw something that looked just a little different. Very cleaver hide. I my area near Seattle there's a series of hides like this but I haven't seen one exactly the same as your's. I like it! TFTC
Great hide. Sussed this one out on Google Maps, GPS is largely useless and draws attention. Read the logs and one left me with a big hunch. Searched ... found nothing, pondered for a moment and wandered past numerous times and their it was in plain sight. Retrieved it and had to take it away to remove the log. It just wouldn't budge. And the pencil is no longer in the cache. Hmm how do I get the log out? A few hard shakes and I managed to snare it. Sat down in the nearby mall and signed my name. Sneakliy put it back and was on my way. So good to see some devious caches in the CBD.
Walked past this morning trying to work out where this one might be.
Back at lunch and after looking at some of the only likely locations the penny dropped with ruffagutts4x4 comment 'where have I seen this before?'. In fact, I've done the cache that he refers to. After that, the sneaky cache was in hand pretty quickly, signed the log and back through the smoke filled jungle for lunch.

Sat down for a rest and put our hand right on it. A tricky hide that's really easy to retrieve even with lots of people around. Glad the swisscard had a pair of tweezers to assist with the logbook extraction.
First of a weekend in Sydney taking in the sights and doing touristy stuff. Nice hide. TFTC
No luck with this one, but I didn't spend very much time and could not seem to get close enough to the location. Maybe I'll give it another shot next time I visit Sydney.
Hmmm thought this might be tricky with all the roadwork going on, but it was fine! Nice hide, thanks Marc.
Found on our way out of Sydney to do a 24 day outback trip before heading back to the US, so haven't been able to log until now. Great urban cache. TFTC.
Wandered down to this one from The Strand and watched amusedly while a hapless construction worker attempted to mop up something with the consistency of wet concrete using a sad looking mop and squeeze-lever bucket. Very nice container (I have no idea how you made the hole). I also have no idea how the log stays in place, but a tentative shake suggests it will survive nicely.
Hahaha @ Bainsworld for the reference - I watched that the very day you logged your find!

GEEZ! how early do i have to get to a cache these days to be the FTF?
got there just after 7am thinking i could be in with a shot. on arrival there was a rather suspicious character looking in all the possible hiding spots. (looking for the outside geocachers look really really sus when they are trying to be inconspicuous)
turns out I was right it was deputy dog. unfortunatley he beat me to the find, yet already 2 names before us in the logs..........
next time gadget... Next time!
but I must say a very great cache. so publicly displayed yet so well hidden.

Great way to start the morning and a very nice container. Didn't take the pencil out so that saved time and soon had it tucked away. This was not very hard at 7:00am but still had a lot of workers around.
