Spring is sprung, the grass is ris: I wonder where the caches is?
Out with firesafe and honeysucker on a lovely spring day for a day's adventure while we searched for caches
They found some, I found some and I lost track of how many times we managed to locus cache
Why do some people make things harder than they have to be? LOL. Why climb a fence when the gate will open and make for easy access?
Why crawl around on a hill, which did nothing but send chunks of rock downwards with a thump, when there is a firesafe with you?
Honeysucker and I provided directions, support and appropriate oohs and aahs from the top while firesafe made the walk then climbed out by the shortest route he could find: vertically!

For the perfect first day of spring, headed out for a day/night of caching in the Barossa Valley and beyond with honeysucker and locus cache. A great day out and some good numbers for the day/night.
Now this was fun in the dark but made the find OK. TFTC.

Angaston to Mintaro. That was my milk run for this afternoon. An early poets day knock off from work on my way to the Clare long weekend event and a mini detour to visit a well concealed 'post office' near Eudunda. Luckily the terrain wasn't as bad as I feared although a large chunk of rock did come loose.
My 86th Zytheran find and the perfect warm up for Z's C in 14 Z-caches time.
Ps I released the two TBs from their postbox

Found in the company of scoobsters and honeysucker, our main reason for this visit was to cross another D/T of our list, a fun puzzle to solve between the three of us, approached GZ from the top, decided to heed the hints and walked east until it was favourable to make a ascent to the cache, great location TFTC Zytheran
Another puzzle solved and off the list..group effort in solving this one - although mrs scoobster's claims she new the MOST answers!
interesting hide.. and enjoyed the journey to get to it.. thought about going the 'seemingly easy way to get here'.. and decided to heed the warnings and took the safer approach!.. glad we did!

The target of the day found really easy from where i was standing as i had a sore back today i watched on as the other members did the work but we all had fun
Came here in the dusk last year with Freddo but had no success due to poor light. Today I cleared a path through the arachnids for Freddo to come and find the cache later in the day. Great place for a cache, Left TB, which traveled West around 20000kms to end up here.
Seriously hideous terrain. Every rock I touched wanted to come out in my hand. This is also SPIDER valley at the moment. See the image for details.
Second find today. And it normally a long time between finds here.

Well I made this a bit harder than needed.
Although I did make access a lot easier by going for a stroll.
Treated as the rating suggest when I got to GZ which put me in an interesting spot.
Only to get down and have a better look at the situation.
I then wished I had stepped back and had a look first.
Not so bad after all

An excellent tribute to a very fast postie. I'd like to see the scooter down here..... well there is a gate for easy access if you really had to.
The weather was atrocious. The approach was typical Z ... so some scouting around in the drizzle found a nice safe approach. After I replaced the cache, the drizzle turned into an absolute down pour. Yep, Astro was a drowned rat at that stage.....
Thanks again Z Clear skies - not.
We kept company as advised to find thisone. Mr O was at a fast pace and getting to GZ meant we were in his dust.
Nice creek for the young at heart but OK
Thanks

Wasn't sure what to think when i first saw this one as i hadn’t seen a 4.5 difficulty level before. Finally worked out a way to get down the botton. A friend ended up going down first and once he got to the bottom found it without too much difficutly.
Well, I must admit that after meeting up with o'cholio in Eudunda this afternoon, when he mentioned that he had solved a Z puzzle, we were all pretty keen to go find the the cache. I was, however, a little nervous about the terrain rating with a 2 year old. When we initially found GZ I was quite prepared to stand at the top with Mrs O top and watch Mr O scale the cliff! We found a much easier route though, signed log, took photos, and bustled on to the next cache.
Thanks Z
Thanks Z
After a late night solving the puzzle, it was with anticipation (and a certain feeling of dread) that we approached this cache in the company of growingupisoptional, Gunnadoo and an as-yet unregistered new cacher. Mr O was first on the scene, and after a quick scope of the possible hiding spots, made the trip upwards (we were going to send the GUIO toddler up, but decided this could be seen as "cruel"!). The cache was found in the first place he looked in and as it turns out, the terrain was nowhere near as hard as previous Z 4.5-stars we've found - although it could definitely go that high if taking the wrong approach...
A cool puzzle, and it was fitting that we found a large number of pg caches in the area today. The names were very familiar after solving the puzzle! TFTC Z.

After spending all night solving this one we were anxious to finish it off with a find... But all we seemed to do was more 'landscaping' than we should have.... It was getting late and decided that we had used too many lives already so left to try again at a later date... Although we couldn't celebrate your century of cache hides with a find we congratulate you on your achievements and will certainly be back to try again - maybe with a bit more equipment... Well done... Tks Zytheran for the exercise...
Spent 30-45 minutes here climbing up and down and was finding nothing so decided that we would move on as had 15-20 more caches we were planing on getting before the day was over. Next time for sure.
Logging my awesome new geocoin through My Century Cache ~ Thanks so much Scott ~ Love it ! [^]

Accompanied with Snapper for the day. We discussed which way best - He have a good plan and work out and he is successful, He found the cache and we sign the log. Thanks Zytheran for organising the cache and hunt.
A relatively quick find, we didn't even have to do the puzzle as we worked it out with the help of a little current and past local knowledge! Geokid C. came in handy for this one!
Gave up on the puzzle, and found cache with a combination of a hunch, local knowledge and unwitting clues given by the owner . Would give this a 3.5 terrain rating in comparison to the recent 4 star Z cache we did. This is a great place to explore and have a walk - you can go for quite a long way if you want to. We were joined by 2 kangaroos as they hopped along in front of us. Took TB and juggling balls, left a phone pouch. Thanks for the cache.
Sounds like you scratched a little more than a scratchie nomad
I'm glad you reminded me to remember which caches can't be changed - that will really stuff everyone up ! hehe

Almost had 2 dead penguins here. While I wasn't looking Nomad somehow ended up with scratches across her tummy from a fall. I almost fell off the top after losing my footing but the tree I was holding onto stood firm. It was a bit hard to get up again though. Found after just about giving up. Glad it's over... well it wasn't. I ended up with a grumpy penguin for the rest of the day [xx(][xx(]

Took the most direct route to the bottom and ended up with souvenirs on my stomach as a reminder [B)]. I watched SNP try another approach with my heart in my mouth.
Virtually quitters luck on this one; I couldn't go any further, put my hand across for another handhold, and heard the tell-tale rattle of the cache.
Thank goodness for SNP who was there to lift me from my perch. Without him, I might have had matching scars on my back.
Glad to solve this puzzle sooner rather than later as I dread what will happen once PG does some maintenance on her caches!
Cheers.

Likewise to PG's first visit. This is not a location to visit after dark. Even for Freddo and Shonky. Veterans of other high terrain night time Zee campaigns. See Pentagon.
Our adventure cache of the day. This was a tough Terrain 4 !
Approached GZ from the bottom and climbed a couple of places before finding the cache. There's a few less loose rocks to worry about now !
After following in Freddo's footsteps from yesterday, were surprised to get silver here [^].
Took SA Mailbox GC. Left Car Sick TB. SL.
Congratulations PG on the 100 hides. This is a fitting celebration!
Our Postigirl stats:
Found today: 4
Total found: 76
Outstanding: 24 (plus the 1 placed since).
Thanks Zytheran for the tribute (and another great hide ).

Thanks to my geobudding neighbour for help with the retrieval [^] Couldn't have done it without you ! What an awesome puzzle and GZ ! Thanks Z for for placing such a cool cache in honour of my first 100 geo hides [^]

Solved the Puzzle half an hour before sunset and with the help of geo Robbie off we set all ready to claim Gold - that was until we ran out of light ! Are you serious putting this cache in that spot - I'm still injured remember ! LOL Finally I was convinced by Robbie to wait for the sun to come up tomorrow morning to continue the search Thanks Zytheran for placing such a cool cache in my honour - How funny that I could solve it but not find it ! Now what time is sunrise [?]
