Wonderful location! Didnt have a pen with me unfortunately. Lets have a lunch now!
What a view! First walk of the day and what a start. Sun is shining and feeling good! TFTC
All I can say is wow, what an amazing spot. After logging the cache we continued our to the point to have lunch and watched the sandpipers catching worms in the surf, and sharing it with each other. Very cute. From the end you can see the views in both directions, and a close view of the island. A favourite for the location. Tftc
We decided to have an easier day today, which meant more walking and less caching. Headed for the bottom of the Yorke and almost the end of the road. Paid our park fee ($13) and headed off to explore. This was a good walk and we did it fairly quickly due to the almost flat terrain. Went right out to the cairn on the point, took some photos and returned to the car. Grabbed the cache on the way. tftc#7603
Walking on a beautiful afternoon from a Coral Geographer cruise.Quick find of a SMALL container etc.
This is really sad for us, we hit our geocaching limit. We got our asses to the scenic beautiful bit and then the horizontal needle sharp rain ocean squall decided to take us on. We had 150 m left and chose survival over hypothermia. So we we usually take on the challenging geos but this one had us owned… one day Gav and Manda will achieve it!
Spectacular view, almost too distracting after an intial circle over go finding nothing then a picnic lunch and muze maybe it’s on the island - keen for a swim? Huh - no. Circled back and was rewarded with a find.
What an amazing place, spectacular views, a highlight in SA, so well worth the walk even though the temp was in the high 30's, just loved it, TFTC Mollypix, FP coming your way !!!
A truly beautiful spot. Thought I'd logged this at the GZ but it wasn't showing up so if it shows me finding it twice later, terribly sorry! TFTC
After enjoying a beautiful walk along the cliffs we searched for this cache but like others before us came up empty handed.
Thanks anyway mollypix

Found the location and sadly it was indeed missing. I came prepared like the girl scout I wish I was and let the CO know all
The details. This has to be the most spectacular place I have ever stood. Ever. The photos will never be enough
To show the amazing feeling of being here. Thanks for bringing me here. I had an Emu not want me to pass by to get
To my car afterwards. We had some words and eye messaging before I was able to continue! A Favourite point from me for sure!

Did the 4km hike on the hot day, and tried to find this cache. Unfortunately, my mobile phone cannot pick up mobile signal, and my handheld GPS ran out of battery.
Had to leave it next time.

Found while staying in Marion Bay for the weekend with my Shatzy and exploring the park again.
Log was ok but container was in poor condition so I replaced it with a 2ltr ice cream container and scavenged a few more rocks to hide it better. should last for a while now.
Placed red racer TB in the cache for next finder. Extraordinary views

This weekend, I headed to the Yorke Peninsula. The goal was to visit Innes National Park for the Saturday to find a few of the oldie geocaches, but also to enjoy a different vicinity for geocaching. I used Edithburgh to base myself for the weekend's activities. On the drive to/from Edithburgh, I visited Ardrossan, Port Vincent, Wool Bay, and Coobowie, and also visited as far south as Sultana Point and Troubridge Point.
Today, after participating in Edithburgh parkrun, I met gridge98 at Marion Bay, and we travelled through Innes National Park. We drove up to Browns Beach, and then made our way back visiting and hiking Royston Head, West Cape Lightstation, Ethel Beach, Cape Spencer Lighthouse, and the historic township of Inneston. With a few hours left before the Edithburgh dinner event, we separated and I decided to head north to visit a few Yorke Peninsula oldie geocaches. Following dinner, gridge98 and I walked from Edithburgh to Coobowie find the *Where Ancestors Walked By the Sea* series.
What a great coastline! We noted the description to allow two hours for this walk, but it took gridge98 and I about 50 min to walk to GZ, and return back to the car. We saw a kangaroo taking shelter under a bush having a snooze, and I think the kangaroo and I both surprised one another as we only saw the kangaroo when we were a few metres away. We continued our walk as the trail hugged the cliffs and turned the corner towards Royston Head. Once we were close to GZ, we started looking, making a reasonably quick find. The cache container was in poor shape, with the container lid cracked and broken, so a maintenance visit is probably required here soon. Thanks Mollypix for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Parked in the car park and off we set out for this nice walk. The track is very rocky then sandy but a great walk with awesome views. 25mins and we arrived and found the cache nicely hidden. Took in the views and another 20 or so and we were back to the car. Would recommend this nice walk
A quick overnight trip to the Yorkes for 1.5 days of solid caching. I did a bit of the geoart by myself before meeting up with Davidwazza for a majority of the day caching around Innes National Park. With an event in the evening in Edithburgh headed over there before going for a nice walk along the water front for the evening. Day 2 I made my way from Edithburgh along the coast line and back home by lunch time. A total of 169 caches for the trip.
Thanks for the cache

Found while staying in the Engineers Lodge at Inneston for a few nights, with some great scenic locations visited and some nice walks during the days. Really enjoyed the rigorous walk through the park to be rewarded with the awesome coastal views. Thanks for the cache Mollypix!
A great reward for a nice hike. The last part of the walk was a challenge with the harsh wind blowing off the ocean TFTC
A weekend away to celebrate the easing of restrictions, exploring some of the national park today we decided to drive to the end and explore our way back and pick up the odd cache or two. An afternoon hike to finish off the day had us stepping off the track for social distancing with the many muggles with the same idea. We enjoyed the stroll along the winding track through the dunes and flora before it opened up on the spectacular views across the way, many photos were taken before we collected the cache to add our name to the list

Doing the Royston Head Hike to look for birds. Saw some Purple-gaped honeyeaters, Rock Parrots and a Golden Whistler. Was nice to find a geocache at the end! Lovely views, worth the walk. TFTC
18 months, 2 dnfs and a muggle finder in that time!
We brought a replacement after speaking to CO, but it was not needed! The cache is right where it should be within 4m of the gpsr spot.
A great walk to here, which I had been saving to come back too with company.
So came with my geokids instead. A truely great spot. Cache found easily after our stroll.
All up the roundtrip took just over an hour with the speccy scenery the whole time!
This is the furthest west we went today.

I'd had this on the list for many years (well from 2009!). Today was the day I toured the area with another cacher who had not found this baby. So we parked (eventually) and then set out on the walk. And what a great walk. The day was cool and there were no flies. Just perfect. [^]

Found on a wonderful weekend away. A cache with its own special memories. Absolutely beautiful location. Thank you.
a great walk on a coolish day, watch for those sand flies though, got many stings. Superb view of the coastline with big waves crashing over the rocks. Enjoyed our camping trip to Innes National Park.
Lovely stroll on a beautiful day. Very busy track.

Was on Yorke Peninsula for the May Birthday Bash and to tackle the Fish Tale series. Just as I started out it began raining and it stopped when I got back to the car. TFTC.

Found It!
The first 1.8km were easy. That last 200m head on into the gale force wind was %#&$ freezing! The trip back was a bit easier!
But certainly worth it if not just for the views, but this is one of the few caches in the state that is over 4 years old and has not been found by any of Freddo, Astro or Hurtle...

Brilliant walk with cache as a bonus. A bit wet when found but dried out and put on side to minimize water penetration.
TFTC What a great walk even though I had to push the smallest member the whole way in his pram.
Well and truly worth the walk
A beautiful view along the coast, a lovely sunny day, not so much wildlife - maybe a bit hot for them.
Visited the nearby GCA trig too.
There was a small hole in the lid of the cache, and a tiny gecko was hiding inside. We helped him find better accomodation and popped some tape over the hole. SL tftc
Day three of roadtrip on YP with geosons Timotatus (L driving) and Sebastbat to bring in the New Year!
Thanks for the fun and entertainment cache hiders. Happy New Year

Our last for the day, thank goodness. We are pretty sore from our traipse along the beach from surfers to visit the wrecked boat, and then detouring up the dunes (for a DNF). All this walking has worn us out.
Took: Nothing
Left: Car and micro cache container
Thanks mollypix for the cache

We started out and it was raining and cold but as the day went one it came out sunny and we had a beautiful day around the bottom end ot the peninsula. A long walk but made it and then didn't take writing pen with us but TFTC
A walk we had been meaning to do for about 10 years. Got a couple of friends together and took them for a new walk. They really enjoyed it and we were all surprised by the views. TFTC. Left travel bug

OMG - if there's a hard way to find a cache - think i just half did it. This will be one cache to be remembered or (fogotten) - i'm not sure which. Thanks mollypix
Rocky Glen Grommets made hard work of this one - we didn't park in the FIRST parking bay so we started our trek from the second car park (MISTAKE!) We trekked and trekked, along the coastline, scratches, cross country and the like - anyhow, we estimate it was a 3km walk to the cache and a much shorter walk back to the FIRST car park and then the walk to where our car was. We disturbed two sheep and followed them for quite a while. The return trip was easy because we found the path we should have taken - this was our last cache for the day, and yes, it was beautiful, achievable but OH! those muscles ache and got a touch of sunburn even though it was only 20 degrees. The water bottle was emptied but we refreshed when we got back to the car. We have seen some of the amazing photos which Mollypix has taken from GZ and they are simply stunning - can fully understand his fascination with the area.
TFTC - a good reason to do this walk again. We had forgotten how beautiful the view is as you reach the top. Took the Flipper Family coin to continue its journey.
We both enjoyed a great walk to this cache, passing through a light shower on the way. We did think of turning back, but the rain soon cleared and we were on our way. The best part of this cache is getting to the top of the rise and taking in the views that greeted us. [^]
I remember reading about Wedge Island, so it was great to finally see it sitting out there on the horizon. Spectacular indeed.
Left the Flipper Family coin here as it's not far from Dolphin Beach.
Thanks Mollypix.

3541. [font=Comic Sans Ms][green]Maybe the cache page description needs to be spruced up to really tell people how brilliant this walk and area are. I can't believe that nobody has visited this since March. Top walk and yes the spectacle is sparkling (or is it the sun - according to the original(?) name of this cache on the logbook?). Out of over 300 caches for the trip this was the stand out. I seem to recall only a 50min return (roughly) and that included logging the two caches out here and taking in the spectacularness of it all.

A top walk and standout scenery of the trip. Picked up a FTF on the nearby GCA trig, a few photos, and back to the car in under an hour. The first part of the walk is over limestone and is like an old crazypaving path, and then goes over a well defined path through the sandhills to the cliffs. An easy walk and should get far more visitors than it appears to. Thanks Mollypix.
This would have to be the best cache we did this weekend
The walk and views were fantastic

Slept overnight in the park then off to do this one first thing in the morning.
A very lovely walk over to the heads and we stopped at the Trig point along the way.
It took us a while to find the cache.
Skippy came up a winner.
Then with light rain falling on us we made our way back to the car.
A few Photo opportunities along the way.
You really have to love a cache like this one.

Early morning - lovely walk along to the GZ, Bit worries about the weather so keep on until arrive there so beauty view - strong windy and start rain come - search until found the cache. Had to leave quick but rain beated me - I become like duck when arrived the car - glad I have spare clothes so change - keep me warm. No swap. SL. Thanks Mollypix for organising the cache and hunt.
Our 3rd fist to find today we started out on the journey and one Emu just didn't want to leave us alone it kept circling us running in front of us and behind us. After getting to GZ we took in the views and found the cache and once again said that this would make some great photos but Margieh left the camera at home so we missed out on the great shots but we still got the cache and the memories. Find No 600. What better way to celebrate a milestone... A lovely 'long' walk, a FTF with Dazzatron, wildlife all around (we were even harassed by a nosey emu for some distance) and some of the most spectacular views you could wish for.... It could only happen on a beautiful sunny day and I left the camera home.... Believe me I am not impressed...!!.
This cache was more than worth the effort... My Travelling Companion TB more than enjoyed the hike through the area..
Thanks to Mollypix for making this cache a special one...
