This cache has surely been muggled.

The fisherman are everywhere.

I am posted to Sale Victoria, so instead of replacing I will archive and let someone take the spot over.

I will go and check hide on the weekend.

Stopped off for a lunch of fish and chips in the park. Kids loved the opportunity to use the play equipment whilst the adults sat back and took in the view! A DNF for today- a great reason to come back another day for a second go at this one!

It's Gone !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But a great hide if its there

Had a good look around today but couldn't come up with the goods. Even with about 8 sets of eyes looking no joy. Located a couple of good holes but all were empty.

Will have to try again another day for this one.

We dnf'd this one twice over a two day period due to fishermen right at GZ. All wasn't lost though as we spotted a penguin swimming in the water which was a nice treat to see.

Day two of theheadchef and spikeymikey's excellent adventures to Nelson Bay and Sugar n Spice attempted Salt n Pepper and it was the best one yet. The water pristine and the fish in abundance and of good size. I would come from the Central Coast just to bring the kids here fishing it's that good. Thank you Madstars for the hide, I owe your wife a hug, as I don't hug guys.......just clearing that up since I had to share a room with SM last night.

I spied the cache and with a fisherman nearby extraction was going to be interesting. Got myself in position sitting down to carefully reach in and extract all well and fine but whilst I was signing the log the GeoKid's picked up the container and starter 'dragging' it around and yelling about finding the treasure. Doh! I still had my back to old mate but I hope he was engrossed in tying his knots. Thanks for the cache. TeamAJKW.

Another beautiful location & a clever hide.

Easy find while out caching with The-Don.

Its always nice to dream about which boat you would like to take home.

Found at 12.20pm GAFF3. Loved coming back to this area - we were very impressed last time and still are. Passed a couple of fishermen saying they were having no luck with the luderick. A very well hidden cache that our stiffening bodies found hard to locate and extract. Co-ords spot on.
Thanks MADSTARS

Had a quick look around...fisho's to the left of me, fisho's to the right....
Found the "clue"...kids looked all around acting as "kids" to fool the muggles but no find today...

Shell and I left these ones when they were first published to give the non locals a chance. Matt spent a work conference here previously, it's such a nice place.

Thanks MADSTARS for the cache.

A muggle fishman was right at GZ. We talked to him for awhile and luckily he got a phone call
from his wife to go home. Once he left it was a quick find as the geowife spotted a likely hiding spot.
Nice view from the wall. TFTC.

#6/25 Took my cousins for a walk to find this cache. Good family activity. Once I read out the clue, my cousin pounced on it straight away, we were standing right nect to it. Only two muggles around to take our photo. Great spot thanks.

Lovely afternoon - 9 year old scrambled sucessfully & came up with the cache

21-Jan-10
Hot, hot morning. iPhone misbehaving, so way off to start with. Got there eventually. Ye olde friendlee fisho not very friendly. Maybe sick of people scrambling about on 'his' rocks. Nature show on the way...big shearwater (or some such seabird) catching fish and wacking it about to finish it off. Cute hide. TFTC (couldn't SL as no pen...dropped pebble in instead. Have photo evidence, but won't spoil). Thanks again.

Found the spot and found the Cache. I was able to finish this one easily even with a few Fisho's around

What a perfect day for caching well the morning was it became quite hot later on...We even passed a couple getting married near GZ but that did not deter us finding this one as they were over near the building side of the wall.

There's something about searching through a rock pile that doesn't work for me. I found about three drilled out rocks but sadly did not find the cache. Perhaps it's just me.... Twisted

Wish we could be staying in the resort nearby, or cruising around in one of the luxury yachts moored here. Fantastic views and beautiful clear water. There were a number of muggles also walking on the break wall, but we managed to get a break in the "traffic" and were able to find the cache. What a great hiding place - how do you find these places MADSTARS?! TNLNSL TFTC

16-Oct-09
Lucy Junior found it before I had even got close. There were no muggles around so stealth wasn't required, which was fortunate as Junior was very pleased with himself and got a little excited. We both liked the boats, and were entertained by a fishing cormorant rounding up the little fish into a ball and having a snack, visible thanks to the crystal clear water. Thanks MADSTARS for the cache.

13-Oct-09
We both had the day off so we decided to do our own little ‘invasion’ of Port Stephens. Our first full on all day effort. There were a few families fishing on the break wall but fortunately none were near GZ so we grabbed the cache without incident. TNLNSL TFTC. [Cache 105]

Bugger. This one beat me. Had a reasonable look for it. I am sure it's safely there still, but well re-hidden after those experienced previous finders. Oh well, next time.

19-Sep-09
After four successful FTFs this morning, we decided on one more attempt before leaving the rest for others. This was a beauty. Long before we got here I knew what we would be looking for, but a nice twist on this hide. I remember when this breakwater was being built - truckload after truckload of rock rumbling past the house waking my sleeping baby! Well done to McPhan to make the find without a GPS! Thanks MADSTARS for another *FTF* opportunity in a super location.

Pt. Stephens Invasion.2. A quick walk out to the marina wall. This one was quite tricky, but we had too many eyes to let it beat us. Thanks.

it must be a popular place as the car park was full today, but the crew was sent of on their mission and found it, Canberra invasion convoy: Tankengine,Zytheran,, betchatn0t, Sol de lune, Tealby, Red Tag and Albida

It was just such a great day to be out and about enjoying Nelson Bay and some of its sights. This GZ was a real pleasure to explore. As usual, when you are equipped with cache-sensing metal filings in your nose a GPS becomes superfluous - so I explored in another place while the cache was being found somewhere else. Sigh!

Thanks MADSTARS - enjoyed this shared FTF with Team McWinTrexON.

Found as part of the McWinTrexOn team, Congratulations to McPhan on the FTF. Another one that google earth indicates as a wet feet cache. We were discussing the FTF's and decided not hog them all.

thanks for the cache. Great weather, great company and beautiful scenery.

19-Sep-09
As we headed toward this one, we noticed the Lyrebirds feverishly looking for it... Who knows for how long! Anyways, got to GZ, and found cache withing 1.6 seconds! Ask Lyrebirds if that is what they were looking for! Fantastic location, great hide! Love it! Thanks again Madstars!

19-Sep-09
Now I'm confused... I thought it was subi-two that we sprung here again, but it is all so confusing when there are so many folks out caching at once (but so much fun!). Another lovely walk in a scenic area, but parking was scarce at this locality when there are so many vehicles to accommodate - we managed to fit 2 cars where one had left & mtrax was left with a somewhat unconventional parking spot! TFTC.

Found as part of the Canberra Invasion to Newcastle/Nelsons Bay/Port Stephens and surrounding areas with Tealby, Tankengine and Mtrax. This one was day two and it was going to be a long one..........

Great hide this one. Once again came upon other cachers in the area, however that hadn't made the find at that stage and we managed to make the grab very quickly. Well spied Tankengine and thansk MADSTARS for the neat hide.

2145. Our fifth and last attempted FTF from the invasion. We "cough cough" decided to leave some of the FTF frenzy to others. This was a beauty which I managed to find without my GPS. Not sure how I managed it but had logged the find before we went out to look for it. Subsequently I couldn't find it in the GPS.

Great waterside spot for a cache on a top day in the bay.
