Back again! Stunning as always!

07-Jul-19
Hiking the Heysen Trail with E2E9 - stopped here for lunch break and grabbed cache with Malco!

07-Jul-19
After hiking about 10km from Warren Gorge, along creek beds and up the Heysen Trail, reaching the top of Mt Arden was an amazing experience. Along with 53 other hikers, we stopped for lunch and took in the view from the top. The cache was nothing like the description, making the finding a little more difficult as it's turned into a micro and has no camo, . Eventually found it. Underwhelming.

Found with Csaba! and Gasamalu. Another E2E-9 find.

Thanks for the cache, jenkoz.

07-Jul-19
A new year and a new section of the Heysen Trail. Hiking from Warren Gorge to meet the trail. Great views for the top. Finished at Buckaringa Gorge. Found with Malco! and Gasamalu. Thanks

Out with sir_spectre after the JLWE. Unlike many others we gave ourselves a bonus day to keep caching the area and seeing some amazing locations and views.
Thanks to jenkoz from mogni Big Grin

10-Jun-19
It looks like the way down is going to be steeper than the way up. Again nice views and another quick find.
found with mogni after the nearby CITO event and the June Long Weekend event - 2019. It takes about 3 hours to do a round trip of all these T 5 caches and the cache listed in the notes as a half day walk is currently a drive by. It is now on a one way road through the gorge.

09-Jun-19
Found with FeatherWaite while in the area to attend the Quorn June Long Weekend events.

This was a fun drive with some terrific views.

Thanks jenkoz for the cache.

Found with e.gregory1 during a day's touring around Quorn and the Argadell's during the June Long Weekend Event. Thanks for the cache jenkoz!

08-Jun-19
My first day of the Quorn Quondam Quest (QQQ) weekend event, and my first June Long Weekend event! I had heard about the popularity of these, but hadn't had a chance to attend one of these until now. Today was a day with [@Laighside Legends](http://coord.info/PR3BCW0) hiding our proposed quest caches, and then driving Argadells to collect the geocaches around that area, including a visit to Warren Gorge. QQQ events were attended in between, including the lunch flash mob, and feast bonanza in the evening.

Mount Arden! We made it! It was definitely a little sketchy in climbing this mountain, but the track was well maintained and didn't seem to serve too much of an issue for [@Laighside Legends](http://coord.info/PR3BCW0)' vehicle. Some 360-degree views from here, which was awesome! We walked around the structures here in the freezing cold winds that were blowing about here, and enjoyed seeing the distances of nearby locations. We waited for a few vehicles ahead of us to make the descent down, and you can certainly see why it's a one way down, down that route. The cache did take a little in looking for it, as we were expecting it more on the lower level. It seemed a little exposed here, but I guess it lasts. Thanks jenkoz.

Found while driving around with daughter and son-in-law but Mrs had to sit in back seat so she would not panic 4WD. But an experience. With wonderful views. From up top here we could see everywhere hills a plenty Omg Awesome TFTC

Found It!
A nice drive and some great views from up here! Very windy though! After admiring the views we soon found the cache. Now to go down the other side...

Geokids and myself came out for a drive on a glorious weather day... with 3 other vehicles filled with likewise geocachers.
Have been wanting to get here for a long time, so why not today? lol
The pinnacle of our efforts today.
Awesome views, 360 degrees atop the world.
Got a bit crowded here when another larger group appeared.
It is not a fruit jar any longer, shrunk to mint tin size!

Thanks

08-Jun-19
A glorious day in the Argadells with four 4WDs and 15 cachers from all over Australia (2 from WA, 2 from NSW, 2 from Vic and 9 from SA).
Stop 5 on top of the world or so it seems. A tad windy and fresh so we decided to delay lunch and have it at a later stop. Once again great 360 views and another Flinders Peak ‘conquered’

Arrived in Quorn and Mr Felix was lucky enough to be offered a ride with BabyandMrsGopher on the group T5 caching run. Fun times and thanks to Hurtle for organising the day!

Found at 11:57 AM GAFF5 in the company of Hurtle who led the group, Team Astro & four-fun who were passengers in our vehicle, TheKellyGang, baby&Mrs gopher, *Cache_or_Check* and Nichilkel..
Now there was a steep climb up which we did in a steady manner. At the top it was just wonderful - we could see the Spencer Gulf and then the views across to the mountain ridges were spectacular - just got a bit chilly with the breeze up there Red Face
Thanks jenkoz

WOW unreal views from the top. It seemed we could see for miles. FP from us. SL Tnx jenkoz

It's been nearly 1 year, but popped up again to enjoy a stunning sunset with great friends.

17-Aug-17
What a cracking view! What a special place. Was fabulous to be here with 5 great men, including one who has a long association with Argadells. The find took a little bit of effort. Was very chilly as well. The trip down the mount was breath taking. Enjoyed a great roast dinner back at camp that night.

Container is not water proof. Sopping wet paper. An easy find.

16-Apr-17
Our first full day exploring the station tracks Big Grin.
A nice, easy climb in the 4WD had us up here in no time at all Cool. Great views, but a bit of a pity to have to share it with all the towers, sheds and other communication equipment (there was even a radio switched on behind one of the locked doors) Surprised. We suppose that's the price you pay on every high peak around here Sad.
Found the very exposed cache after looking in more difficult places first Red Face. TNLNSL.
Now for the steep descent as we travelled the loop heading back down Wink.
Thanks for one more Jenkoz.

Had 20 muggles helping but found nothing.

24-Sep-12
Niece Eliza found the micro (magnetic Eclipse tin) on our afternoon 4WD trek up, across and then down that Steep descent. Handbrake got a work-out in the Geo-Challenger, 1st & Low-4 was still not slow enough on the way down. Missed a couple of caches keeping up with our group and so they are there for next time Smile.
Fantastic views in all directions, warm and completely calm, yesterday when we'd dropped of some Heysen hikers, it was cold and blowing hard.
We chatted on the UHF briefly with some travellers down on the plains to the West and on their way to Woomera! Took nothing but left a 'scargoes 2012 Path Tag
Cheers & TFTC 'scargoes (P)

10-Jun-12
An Adelaide Jeep Club Long Weekend camping trip provided us an opportunity to visit these infrequently visited caches. Leading yesterday's convoy of vehicles had meant we had passed straight by this cache without even noticing it was here. Perhaps the distracting views had something to do with it as well?

Today was a different story as we came to the top of MT Arden by ourselves. A busy LWE meant we were replacing the cache just as another vehicle arrived at the summit.

With all the construction and earthworks happening here, we thought this might be a goner, especially as we thought we were looking for a ‘small’ cache. Auzee persevered and found the micro (eclipse tin) while I was busy taking a million photos. What a spectacular bit of Australia – and it’s in OUR back yard! How lucky are we? [^]. Thanks very much for bringing us here Jenkoz. Cheers Big Grin

22-Apr-11
Worth the trip to the top. Outstanding views and cleared my emial as well!. We got muggled out by a 4WD tag along tour and had to wait for them to leave. Cache description is inaccurate - it is not a 1 litre container. That caused a little confusion for a while. TNLNSL.

On the way down the one way track we hung up on a ledge with the front wheels clear of the ground. Ouch! After a short think. 30 minutes of landscape modification and a few scratched to the bash plate we were underway again having remove the hazard for the next ones down.

If you want to see about coming here to stay and drive the track the web page has now changed try -
http://www.argadells.com.au/

The cost has gone up and it is now $50 a vehicle and $10 a person to bush camp.
The managers were away but The Grandparents were in attendance and they looked after us very well.
They drove us out to the campsite and came out to see us the next morning.
He told us the Nissan club was staying but they must have been camping and telling 4wd stories to each other because they weren't out driving the tracks.

My this sure was the highlight of the day.
Talk about being on top of the world.
Well it is if your world is the Southern Flinders Ranges.
The view was fantastic and the spot fascinating.
Loved the expression on Southern Cross Caching's face when he asked how we get off the top and I pointed to the 4WD Low Range exit sign.

What a magnificent view and more so the journey to the top, well well well worth the money and effort . Mr. Parrott and I had and absolute ball out here this afternoon and although we came to find the caches along this track, it was a secondary thing for a few hours having a blast on the 4WD tracks. After all the fun and adventure, we sat around the campsite talking of our experiances for hours, and probably will for years to come.
I agree Parrot, Gotta love remote caches especially these typesBig Grin

800mts above sea level and a view for miles, mind you that first sight of the exit path was a bit daunting, weeeeeeeeee all the way down Wink

Thanks for jenkoz, an experiance not to be forgotten,
Cheers and Happy Hunting from Southern Cross Caching

Found with Justcameron, the sbi and fat tamra on Day 4 of 6 of our hike from Hawker to Quorn. It was hard work walking up that hill but the views are well worth it. TNLNSL Thanks

Found while hiking with JustCameron, Jambochicken and Fat Tamera
How do you make a 5 difficulty terrain cache even harder? do it on day 4 of a 100km 6 day hike between Hawker and Quorn.
It was well worth the climb up to the top following the Heysen trail, for one of the best views I've seen in the Flinders.
Great place for a cache
TNLN (already had too many wasted grams in my rucksack)
Thanks

A joint FTF as we headed back from the gammon ranges
I have been here once before with the 4WD club and still it's worth coming up here and enjoying the views
I was really surprised the Pahero made it to the top Razz
But that could have been beginners luck Razz
Thanks Jenkoz

Group FTF.

Best cache of the day and deserving of 5 star terrain.
Good views out to Lake Torrens to the west and you can even see Pt Augusta on a clear day.

After camping out near Leigh Creek with a group of cachers on the way home. Had internet coverage and checked for new cache listings and 7 caches came up 170km away at Mt Arden. A quick conference and we were on the way to try for FTF's.

We arrived at the Station and spoke to the station owner who knew about the caches and in fact the hider was still there.

We spoke with Jenkoz and we were on our way. This was the fourth of 7 joint *FTF* in the Argadells property.

It was a good drive and some great scenery. We even came across a 1m brown snake as well. TFTC. Big Grin

Easily the best of this series. Found as part of a joint FTF effort with a dodgy bunch of characters Big Grin The views from here were absolutely incredible, as was the climb back down. Note to those attempting this cache, the terrain rating is fully justified! And while you're here, you can log the trig point at the top as a GCA locationless cache (if you're into that!). A brilliant view all round that justifies the price tag. TFTC jenkoz.

The best cache of weekend. A super day for a visit to the top of the world. This one is going straight to the pool room. I have visited Mt Brown, Mt Remarkable, Devils Peak and The Dutchman. This peak makes the quintrella. And this time I did not have to walk. We took the time to have lunch on the top, and the lack of wind made for a very pleasent outing.
