An Adelaide Jeep Club Long Weekend camping trip provided us an opportunity to visit these infrequently visited caches. Leading yesterday's convoy of vehicles had meant we had passed straight by a few caches without stopping. Today was a different story as we went to the top of MT Arden by ourselves and down the one way section alone.
This allowed us to stop and admire the views as frequently as we liked. No distractions today and we soon had the prize in hand after a bit of a stroll from the gCAV
Can you ever get sick of the views in this area?

If everyone’s sharing the gold & silver slots, does this mean we get bronze?? We’ll take ‘em any way we can get ‘em .
There were other vehicles descending the mountain behind us, albeit a fair distance behind. Nevertheless, I didn’t want to cause a traffic jam , so didn’t spend as much time looking at the scenery as I would have liked.
A scramble through the bush and down the hill and the cache was located. Then race back to the Cruiser and continue due DOWN. Cheers Adrian. TNLN.
BTW, while logging this I discover that it’s cache No. 3900, so a nice one to mark a milestone. Thanks again, mate [^].

[blue]Silver find for Southern Cross Caching and the Parrots.[/blue]
If you want to see about coming here to stay and drive the track the web page has now changed try -
http://www.argadells.com.au/
The cost has gone up and it is now $50 a vehicle and $10 a person to bush camp.
The managers were away but The Grandparents were in attendance and they looked after us very well.
They drove us out to the campsite and came out to see us the next morning.
He told us the Nissan club was staying but they must have been camping and telling 4wd stories to each other because they weren't out driving the tracks.
We set up camp in "Graham's Place" and then went out to explore.
Wow that is some serious 4WD fun.
Loved the tracks and the views.
Shared the cost with Southern Cross Caching and not complaining one bit about the cost.
I believe I got value for my money.
The whole experience certainly gave us something to talk about back at camp.
However it got wet during the night with a steady downpour starting after 2am.
I am glad we did the track the day before.
Thanks for adding to the collection here Adrian.
This one went straight to Favourites.

Black Boys and Mountain Goats, in every direction, this one had a distinctly different flavor to it. Well well well worth the money and effort to come to the Argadells. Mr. Parrott and I had and absolute ball out here this afternoon and although we came to find the caches along this track, it was a secondary thing for a few hours having a blast on the 4WD tracks. After all the fun and adventure, we sat around the campsite talking of our experiances for hours, and probably will for years to come.
I agree Parrot, Gotta love remote caches especially these types
Thanks Mr Mac, a nice addition
Cheers and Happy Hunting from Southern Cross Caching

We were another of the team of beta finders on placement. All power to frankos4 for the virgin find. Love them views.
great to find this on one of our favourite 4x4 playgrounds, great spot. not sure if this classes as ftf. TNLN TFTC SL
Found as it was hidden, while on an Argadells 4WD invasion. Like firesafe, not claiming FTF as we're all associated with CCC and weren't going to log until it was "genuinely" found, but when in Rome....
Thanks for the cache Adrian.
Thanks for the cache Adrian.
I am logging a find but not a FTF as I was there when it was hidden. Good luck to the FTFer.
