Found it after a couple of minutes searching. Cache is slowly losing out to the element's and may need a smaller container or rehoming. Still in good order, just a bit tight.
Another stop on the west tour through the deserts and lakes. Having spent a few nights camping at the opposite end we explored a little more of the lake but there will be no swimming here. Cache was found in good order. Thanks tackle_head for the cache.Found at 10:52am on 29/12/2023. Find # 2726
I could imagine this once was a nice camp site but the lake seems to far to access with swampy muddy tracks TFTC Thanx for the Adventure tackle_head Stay Dirty 209010:52amSmokeyBearOG
Find # 13090Off on a full days solo Caching adventure around the Western Vic area.I've had a half baked plan around the area and it was time to go for it. Horsham, Dimboola, Jeparit, Rainbow and then follow a Silos Art Ad Lab heading home.A great (top of) 20deg day, to be out n about. With a bit of wind to kick the dust n sand.A quick drive in to GZ. And a quick grab. TFTC tackle_head
Exactly how I feel after having been locked up for two years during the dreaded CV. Making the most of good weather and good trails. Thanks for placing this cache for others enjoyment!
You can get out any time you wish!
Found out and about during a quick trip to the southern deserts where the stars shine so bright!

A four day weekend gave us the opportunity to catch up with the rest of the Crew and head to South Australia to do the Border track and caches in the Big Dessert area, lots of laughs and good times were had over the weekend. There were plenty of good quality caches to be found along the way.
Today we did a few tracks around the Wyperfeld Park and Big Desert area, led by our tour guide tackle_head.
This is one of the caches found today. I am sure I sead let me out several times on this trip.
Thanks tackle_head for the cache.

**Stayed in Horsham overnight - today we headed for Murrayville**
Thanks for sharing this interesting location and the local history.
A nice early start this morning. After meeting up with The Empire & H, omegaman1971, Rebel Acts and tackle_head in Dimboola this morning headed off in convoy heading towards Murrayville before tackling the Border Track. Missing Happy Feet from our usual crew.
With the UHF in full swing, a full 4WD, the laughs were many and memories made. There had been quite a bit of rain about in previous days and that kind of dictated what caches we ventured for and which we passed up for another time. With Happy pants driving, we were happy to follow tackle-head as he has been coming this area for **35 years** [:o)]
Didn't take long to make a straight forward find here with so many pairs of eyes searching. Cache and contents are in good order.
The geocaches are a great bonus of my travels. It's amazing to see the country in the eyes of a Geocacher.
Thank you tackle_head for highlighting this area and for adding this cache to our real-life treasure hunt. Appreciate your efforts.

Out in the area with the Crew for some caching fun and to tackle the border track for a few days.
We don’t often get together these days but when we do, we certainly have fun and many laughs.
This is one trip that I will never forget and would definitely recommend it if you are a 4WD enthusiast. Just be prepared for the hrs of bumps and pain!
Cheers for the cache.

Meeting up with 'The Crew', it was time for a bit of bush bashing and geocaching! Still dry after all of the water over the past few weeks. Thanks for the cache tackle_head, favourite point added!

We saw signs for a wedding ceremony but luckily we didn't find them or intrude. Thanks for the cache!
Can't tell you how much fun we had on the swing, lol. Thanks for bringing us here with this cache.
Another pre 2010 cache so I was pleased to be able to find it. We spent far too much time here but it was because we were playing on the swing. Thanks for placing this cache and maintaining it for so long.
Finally off on my 4 day weekend away to catch up with some fellow cachers and good friends around Wyperfeld National Park.
I headed up the Calder, turned west at Charlton and meandaring around the back roads to get to my destination for the night which is Lake Albacutya.
The weather is not being so kind to me today so it is a quick run and hopefully find and get back to the Geocruiser and on to the next one kind of day.
After visiting Rainbow I was heading towards Lake Albacutya but instead of turning right I turned left and decided to do a loop of Lake Hindmarsh as I had plenty of time.
Made my way in to this one and past a camp that looked like was set up by a group of dirt bike riders who must have been out enjoying the tracks around the area.
Another nice spot where you could set up camp for a couple of days just to relax.
Soon located the cache and added my name to the log.
Thanks tackle_head TFTC.

After camping at Lake Hindmarsh over night we set off for a previous DNF and others along the top.
We found a really cool swing near GZ which the male Triton just had to have a go on!
Thanks tackle_head for the placement.

Found in the company of the tall tribe while camping on a nearby farmer friend's property. We took a lunch break at this location, having given up on finding any waterways or lakes as they all seem to be dried out. I thought to check the GC app just in case there was a cache - and there was this one! TFTC

Stopped by while taking the scenic route to a couple of events in Murray Sunset NP.
There were a couple of campers nearby so I slipped in and out quickly

Nice little spot here. Although would get hot, dry, and dusty, with no water nearby. Someone obviously loves it tho!
Mr Morris headed up to Rainbow for a few days of beer, blokes and bikes. The weather was good, the beer was cold and the caches were fun.
Sad to see the lake is bone dry.
Thanks for adding to the fun tackle_head

Found on a three day caching wander with AussieM&M!!!! We centred our searches in the Ararat area but ventured further afield when some of our planned caches were either disabled or on very slushy dirt roads. Very cold and plenty of rain ….. although we seemed to dodge the worse of it!!! Had to walk the last 200m. due to the mud!! Quickly found!!
Easy find, while spending the weekend exploring the sandy Mallee country.
Nice spot for camping and caching!

There wasn't much to see around here as the water in Lake Hindmarsh is quite some distance away and camping here would be a rather dusty and dreary experience although a few were currently using this place a base for x-country motorcycling (another good reason for not camping here). Anyway we managed to locate the cache and make a hasty retreat to continue our journey to Patchewollock.

Again took the long way to this one tftc last one on lake Hindmarsh for us after two trips
Taking the geo kids caching during the school holidays, while towing a 24 foot caravan. We'll grab every opportunity to grab a cache. We were ready to set up camp for the night and there was no one to be seen. Boys set up van, while I took a leisurely stroll around the area and found the cache. We had a very quiet night, great spot.
Thanks tackle_head for placing & maintaining these cache for us to find.

Another cache found while travelling around the lake, we thought we may have had to contend with some camping mugs but they were just far enough out of sight for us to make a quick find, thanks again tackle head for the cache.
Another couple here enjoying the serenity of the Australian bush... thankfully far enough from the cache that we weren't disturbed. Thanks for the hide and bringing us here.
Had to hang around quite a while until the Muggles got on their dirt bikes and racked off! All good, had a footy in the ute to keep us entertained! Good hide, cache in good condition and well hidden. TFTC SL
Wonderful spot which i can remember standing here with the lake nearly full. TFTC
Great picnic spot, could imagine this would be very busy when there was water in the lake.
Another possible camping spot for us to have a couple R&R days from work, sometimes you just need a quiet place to be. SL TNLN TFTC
In the area visiting family at Bordertown and my best mate Muff1 at Kaniva. Spending 2 days taking in some of the wonderful scenery and doing some caching at the same time. Thank you tackle head for placing the cache and Muff1 for the transport and company. SL TNLN TFTC.
25/04/2014 - pm - 5th find for the day. Out site seeing/geocaching with nom234 & non-geo-son & non-geo-granddaughter while visiting Jeparit. GPS Instructions -- you press this, this, this, zoom in like this ... here you go (lucky it was as easy as that).

We came to this place yesterday but there were some vans camped right beside the cache. Came back today and the vans have gone leaving us to search in peace. Thank you for this cache.
This was the 19th cache for the day. Nothing like taking off in the ute nice and early to take on some of the caches to the northwest of home.
While I have driven around near here before, this was the first time I had ever been to Lake Hindmarsh. What an expanse of water.
It was a quiet day out and about today, with nobody at the campsite.
An easy find, TFTC.

Sorry tackle_head for the generic log but I'm trying to catch up on my logging, I currently have over 1000 to log before hitting some powertrails in the US after the block party next week. As always I enjoy the hunt whether I'm solo or with some of my caching or muggle friends. Thanks to those who have accompanied me to make the day more pleasurable and many thanks tackle_head for placing this cache.
Great spot. Even though I've been to Hindmarsh many, many times, i don't recall ever being to this spot. Few muggles camping here for the weekend so we had to use stealth.... TFTCSL TNLN
Camped here last night, and got out the iphone to check for geo caches in the area. This one was 100mt away so I had to go and find it. Thanks
Found this one very exposed. Tried to cover up a bit better. thx tackle_head for the cache.
Didn't think we would get this one because of campers, on arrival there was no one there to our surprise, so grabbed the cache ond of to the next one owing to how hot it was.

Camped nearby. TNLN. I wonder of the lake will spill out.
Search on for a missing man in the lake after I left.
[^] we enjoyed finding this one with the GPS only able to stay in the car as it was out of battery power, It did not let us down with direction and distance making it an easy find. P.S. the name threw us as to its location but it did not fool the GPS.
Following the Moderately Old Farts event at Red Bluff it was time to head East to grab some more 'Mexican' caches.
A lot of water in this lake now. TFTC.

Found at 12:20pm, we arrived late yesterday afternoon and set up camp just 120 metres away. So once we'd perfected the outfit that morning we wandered down and 'voila' it was soon in hand. What a lovely quiet spot, only cocky's, hoards of galah's, boobook owls and a myriad of other birds to make a sound. We were able to see Mercury, Venus, Mars and Jupiter align in the early morning light. Took: hairclip Left: a pair of frogs. TFTC the first of a few we had fun finding.
We didn’t even get out of the car to attempt this cache. Eight cars and a few motor bikes had beaten us to the area and there were tents erected around GZ. Now we have a reason to return one day.
There was no escape for the waters of Lake Hindmarsh today
The channel remained dry.
Meanwhile I was out and about and keen to find a cache
I found the area devoid of muggles and had an easy find
The strong southerly winds overnight must have blown everyone away !!

Went out today to do some caches for my birthday with a local cacher (Honeysucker).
We were a bit worried as we had spoken to DPI officers at the last cache and he told us that there were a lot of campers in this area. It yurned out they were on the other side of the road.
Quickly signed the log and replaced.

Easy to find... and a lovely spot for a bit of birdwatching. Regent parrots are often seen around here. Shame the parks dept. doesnt fill in some of the pot-holes, lol, but the road is wide enough so you can drive around most of them. Took a marble and added a couple of swaps. Thanks for the cache.
This was another nice little camping area which fortunately today was totally deserted making for a nice easy search and find. We can only hope that one day Outlet Creek will again be in use.
Now off to a healthy Chinaman

Now we have been to both ends of this mighty (if dry) lake. We enjoyed the drive out here and were glad there was no-one camping here today. It must be an awesome sight to see water flowing out of this lake. It must also be an exciting experience to see a plane land at the airport while driving by. We left a marble and took nothing, SL TFTC Now off to the other end of Outlet Creek (does it become Inlet Creek?)
On the way for Oz Mega Wagga Wagga event. Enjoyed wander around the town SL. Thanks tackle_head for organising the cache and hunt.

Found by Roma and Max.
Once again we had to weave our way in through some deepish puddles from yesterdays downpour.
We left our mark in the log and thanks again tackle_head for bringing us here.
