Have been looking for an excuse to come up here for a few days and get some caching done and this event was the perfect excuse. Great to catch up with everyone before Christmas and thanks to Flipper&Co for organising the event.

Find# 597
5th find of the day.
The weather transpired against us, however the diehard's attended and we all enjoyed ourselves, but was this a GEOCACHING event or a PATHTAG event? Wonderful to see three very impressive collections of pathtags and for the pathtag gifts.
I'll have to get my thinking cap on to design a pathtag for the Oz Mega Event.
The Grand Finale was a non event, not like our event!
Thanks for the event FLIPPER&CO!

Rocky Glen Grommets made the drive from the Yorke Peninsula to the Riverland to attend and wasn't disappointed! It was great to catch up with a few familiar faces and meet a couple of new ones (Rob) as well - enjoyed the chat with Jardry about the Wagga Mega Event planned for 2010 and "fine tune" some "sleeping" arrangements, enjoyed the discussion about possible baby names for o 'cholio's first born and of course - envying crane2 and flippers beauties! Margot was sparkling (as usual) with her beautiful necklace - very beautiful! (see Photo) It was great to have an inside event (thanks Louise and Peter), given that the weather was less than perfect. Adrian Mc dropped in and had an interesting chat about "current". Of course, Dazza (tron) was there - always enjoy his company but I didn't envy him camped in his tent at the local caravan park in the weather conditions. Anyhow, I think I'm still under the influence of wild hibiscus flowers and better stop now - it was a great event - in true Chrissie spirit with fellow geo cachers - so THANKS FLIPPERS and CO for a great time.
'Wheres the fireworks, I want fireworks'!!
As said by TomTom when we had to leave and the fireworks still hadn't happened due to weather issues.
'Oh well', said I, 'perfect excuse to come up again next year'.
Thanks for a great event Flippers, I even enjoyed the pathtags.

First to log...and also first to attend! Number #1999 after today's finds, meaning that tonight we can party like it's 1999 Cache creep seems to have occurred thanks to the weather, but lots of food and good company. And lots of pathtags, too. TFTE Flippers.
Teams "A&R"
Peter/Louise, Gayle/Mark attended this event.
We would like to thank all those brave cachers who attended this years event, it was a pity that the weather turned gainst us, but, as we had a alternate venue ( in the shop) we provided drinks and nibbles for those who attended.
Margot, Jackie and Gayle stole the show by displaying their collection of path-tags ( it has been said that between the 3 of them, they have in excess of nearly 4000 pathtags !!!!!!)
we had a great time and will put it on again next year!!!
Cheers from the FLIPPERS

Attended by Rob_vk5trm. Pity the weather was against us and the fireworks got canceled. Still it was a good event and we thank Peter and Louise for the use of there shop for the event. Nice to see a few new and old faces again too.Merry Christmas to all
Whilst we may have lacked in quantity of cachers, we certainly made up for it with quality! Thank you so much for hosting this fun event. Lovely to sit around eating our hibiscus flowers, sipping our bubbles and looking at each others tags! Happy holidays everyone!
Apologies for not logging a note sooner.
We won't be able to commit one way or the other until the day.
Didi will be in hospital today for minor surgery and depending on how she recovers, will depend on whether we both attend or not.
I may have to make this a drive-by event with a quick meet and greet so as to get a smiley!!
