DNF, but not inclined to do an extensive search after seeing all the other DNFs.

19-Jan-14
Based on the difficulty and three DNFs it looks like this one has gone missing Sad

18-Jan-14
Had no luck finding this one either. Given the hint there were few locations at GZ this could possibly be. Nice views on the way down however.

Chris/Vera...team FMZ WHAT have you done...
We saw but didn't meet you at 1 of the CITO's last weekend except signing a log but we got intrigued by someone holding a licence thingy. Looked it up and OMG we can't do that but 1 of the team likes challenges so signed us up anyhow 3 days ago. This was the 14th cache in 2 days to start our journey on the GIO Licence challenge. Not great numbers by many standards but we only got 28 last year all up and 203 in 3 years of caching. Had planned our very first trip to pick up caches on Rangi in a weeks time but this has been delayed until we get the requirements for either of the first 3 in this series. (Also told the better half that I forgot to print off that we need to get the first stage within 30 calendar days) Hahahahha don't tell her. We HAD to grab at least 1 of yr caches in the first stage as it would be rude not to after all of the effort and creativity in yr series. If it permits we will try for at least 1 of yr caches in each step of the long way forward. Also possibly due to the age of this cache we couldn't get any of the Jigsaw pieces of this cache, are you able to send a copy of this one?

Thanks very much, we think Smile
SL and lots of great thoughts regarding this first piece of two challenges.

17-Mar-13
Another quick find today. Signed the log, replaced the cache and went away for more! TFTC

24-Feb-13
On a new mission this year to turn all the "1"s on the calendar into "2"s or more, just to keep an ongoing goal alongside the licence thingy. Anyway needed a find today to achieve that goal and decided on a close to home one after yesterdays big day. Always nice to visit down here. On the way to GZ I met an elderly lady on her walking frame!! making her way back up, wow. Quick find. SL. TFTC. Big Grin

26-Jan-13
wow what a great spot, had no idea this park area even existed after so many years living on the shore, tftc

26-Jan-13
Nice camo! Couldn't have found it without JaronB's seeking skills. TNLN. TFTC.

24-Jan-13
Out this way briefly today so made the effort to grab this cache while in the area. Very hot walk in the midday sun along the craters edge to GZ. Another step closer to finishing the series! Grabbed Geocoin for moving along. TFTC! Big GrinBig Grin

11-Oct-12
Nice place to go for a walk. TFTC [8]

20-Jul-12
Found it after a marathon walk around the crater. Now to begin the long walk back, I wish there was a short cut across the mangroves, as it's just a stones throw across from here. Well sort of.

03-Apr-12
Have never been to this reserve before. Very nice camo. I must have looked at it a couple of times before I actually 'saw' it. TFTC.

21-Mar-12

Last one of five today. Visited this place many times but for some reason never looked for caches before today. TFTC

05-Mar-12
I've been in this reserve a couple of times before, but I managed to find a great access point using satellite imagery so I was quite pleased to not have to make another circuit of this reserve given my limited time for caching after work. The cache was a quick and easy find. I'm moving slowly closer to completion of the series! TFTC!

24-Feb-12
Cool easy cache - thank you Smile

14-Jan-12
Went out to snow planet for the day, and since I didn't have to carry all my gear, and conform to buses, I could stop for some caches along the way! Most were over in Orewa, but I soon began running out of time before needing to pick my mate up, so decided to stop only for this one, to get those pieces!
I admit I did park in a tow away zone, but it was the weekend! And I was only gonna be gone short!
Got the cache super easy once I was there, signed the log, and I wish I had brought a camera! Not only for the view, but also the puzzle pieces! Oh well, I took a photo in my memory! Smile

TFTC!! Smile

29-Dec-11
Found quickly but was a bit awkward to get to without being snagged by prickles and branches. Contents of cache still in good condition despite being very wet.

27-Aug-11
Got a huge fright taking the lid off as it hadn't been shut properly & had become a full breeding ground for baby cockies! Emptied it out but no puzzle pieces Sad so it looks like we'll never finish the series!

Another one of those places you'd never visit if it weren't for caching. TFTC

14-May-11

07-Dec-10
Thought I should keep ticking these AMJCs off. Nice stroll to GZ. GPS hade me in the right spot and I soon spotted the nicely camoed cache, (I feel I am getting rather familar with this style of hide as I complete more of the puzzle) you wouldn't spot it if you didn't know it was there. Took another puzzle piece and dropped of a TB. Achieved a a couple factoids with this cache; My first cache on the North Shore and my most northerly cache. Almost halfway there!

Our 4th piece of the puzzle today & we had 2 already so 1/2 way there with rounding. Will definitely do the crater cache - it was interesting to see how circular the tuff ring was on the maps & from the approach to this hide. NINO TFTC

Congratulations 10centcoin on the FTF. Sounds like you did it the hard way!
We arrived after dawn, after a mad dash from Paihia, and took the easy way to GZ to complete the trio of new Jigsaw Challenge caches. Big Grin Nice camo. Then it was time for a coffee and the return trip to Paihia to resume our holiday.

What a day. After spending the afternoon doing an obligatory pilgrimage to NZ's oldest active cache with the kids, there were a number of caches published today for which I was second to find on two of them behind FMZ. Finally at the end of the day, I went after this one knowing FMZ could not compete and got an undivided FTF [:-)]... It took a bit of bush bashing by the light of the iPhone but got there in the end..getting back to the car was mission...but the pain (legs cut up by gorse) was worth the gain Big GrinBig GrinBig Grin...TFTC!...10centcoin took the 2cents geocoin Wink.

Bush bashed and without a torch? That is keen! Suspect you may not have entered by the easiest route (a concrete path then mown grass)... But congrats on the FTF!
