Must confess there was help with this puzzle, solving and finding. We are late loggers and the date is a bit of a guesstimation. Our puzzle solving is more often quite true of this cache title, we sorta get there but not quite right, plenty of nudging then tada an answer is revealed. We have learnt that there are so many puzzle types, too busy working in the past to discover them.Great area to hike around but we do try to select a parking spot relatively close to our destinations haha. Thanks Zytheran for the cache, TNLNSL

Catching up on late paperwork and logs from our last trip.

On my way home from Western Australia I was mainly concentrating on any adventure labs, earth caches and virtual's and of course any others that appear on the radar close by.

The COVID lock downs were a pain in the proverbial for most people but at least it gave us Victorians a chance to hone our puzzling skills. We worked through Victoria first before heading out to other states. We nearly skipped past this one when we saw it was a Zytheran puzzle but as the difficulty was down a little bit we thought that we would give it a bash. We are glad that we did, it is one of a few Zytheran puzzles that we have solved without assistance.

Today was the day to try our luck and hopefully find a container. Happily with not a great deal of muggles around we were able to locate the container after a bit of a search but have to say that it took a bit longer before we could add our name to the log.

Many thanks Zytheran for the puzzle and the nice area around gz.

Owl was getting the Owlmobile seen to (again), which was the perfect excuse to team up with JJ52 and find some caches. An excellent time was had in Belair National Park, with perfect weather for a leisurely drive. This was an unexpected bonus as JJ had the final coordinates, though Owl made the PaF to check if dirty knees would be required. Something not quite right was discovered and now Owl has to fix her computer's insistence that there is something not quite right with the page so she can solve the puzzle.

07-Apr-22
I had picked up Doctor Owl while her car was being attended to and we made a plan to grab a few new caches around the area with the aim of collecting a few in Belair National Park as it was a beautiful day to be out in nature. [^]

This one has been sitting in the GPSr for a while and as we were close by completing an Adventure Lab stage we thought we would continue on and come and find this one. We spent quite a while looking but had to resort to a PaF before locating the cache. Big Grin

Thanks for the cache Zytheran. Smile

Finally allowed myself a full day caching butt started it off with an unexpected sleep-in. Then started the caching a couple of hours later with an equally unexpected BFE FTF.
After that great start headed south with the bike for a ride around Belair National Park. The main aim were the two new AdLabs but managed to find eight physical caches as well and this was one of them. Spotted something that didn't appear to be in quite the right place and therefore not quite right but it did contain a cache.
Thanks to Zytheran for placing this cache for us all to find

This morning I headed up to Belair National Park to find a few caches with FeatherWaite. The aim was to start early, then head home again as the day got warmer.

This puzzle had been solved a long time ago, but today was the first chance I’ve had to look for the cache as Belair is a place I rarely visit.

A search at GZ soon tevealed something not quite right and on closer inspection a cache was revealed. Nice hide!

Thanks Zytheran for the puzzle and the cache.

This was one of those puzzles that I solved a while ago and it has sat in my gps waiting for the day that I was in the area. It was a few years ago that I came past here in search of the cache, but at the time I came up empty handed. So now that I was back in the area, I was determined to give this another go and come away with a find. Having read the last few logs, I thought I knew where I was meant to be looking but after coming up with nothing, I was almost ready to give up. It was then that I had a lightbulb moment and though, “Yeh, that would still work and fit with the last few finds.” I ever had a vague memory of being given a hint that matched my idea. Sure enough, after about a minute, I had the cache in hand. The log was signed and the cache was replaced and I was glad to have finally found this cache.

This one took a bit of searching we thought it was in the trees but after using a PAF the cache was soon found out on the ground so we replaced it where it should be

This evening Davidwazza and I headed to Belair national park to find a few caches and also Knick off a high T Zythern hide.

This evening, I teamed up with [@gridge98](http://coord.info/PRGKDMY) to find a few more geocaches in Belair National Park. We each had been here a few times before finding caches, but hadn't explored some of the more further away locations from the front gate, so those were targeted, in particular a few harder Zytheran puzzles that were more adventures than anything. A few sections were targeted, and once the light began to fade, we disappeared before the front gate was locked, and made our way into the city to attempt a FTF. It turned out that we were not first, but the field puzzle was still underway, that we were allowed to join for a five way tie. A fun Valentine's Day evening out and about.

This geocache took some searching, as the coordinates were bouncing around. We kept looking between the nearby object, and various trees/bushes/ivy areas. We read past logs, and nothing seemed to really indicate exactly where we should be looking. After a good 10-15 min of searching, [@gridge98](http://coord.info/PRGKDMY) made a PAF, and as he was talking, he found the cache sitting in full view. It must have fallen out. Once the log was signed, it was placed back to where we think it came from (and quite hidden indeed). The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Zytheran for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. A nice logical puzzle!

I guess I must have solved this one a long time ago, as I don't remember the cache page. We happened to be in the area today, and saw a rare puzzle cache show up on the GPSr screen, so decided to take a look.

We found the outer cammo almost immediately, and any nearby sticks were of no use whatsoever in dislodging it. I returned to the Navara to grab a tool, and managed to budge the object just enough that I could extract the inner container. We added our stamp to the logbook and returned the cache, and three dice, to their hidey hole.

Thanks Zytheran.

Checked the cache and it is still there however is wedged in tight. Might need to bring a jemmy bar to pry it out or at least a 30cm long 1cm steel rod to knock it out of it's position.

This was our third walk in the BNP today.
One of my goals was to clear the solved puzzles that have been waiting. Others had other goals and all were achieved Smile

Enjoyed the puzzle as usual Zytheran.

And the appropriate cache as well. With the not quite so typical evil Z hide! And too much time in the blackberries! I am still finding thorns!

Rolled the dice and not surprised by how they came up. Wink

Something is not quite right your telling me. Parked at the top and came for a 2km return trip. Gz had me everywhere. Z bee tree is active. Z bastard bushes are thriving like crazy. After a 30 min search i went back to my original thought and WHAM there is the sneaky bugger. Log and contents were saturated so will need a replacement and maybe another container. Added my name to some cardboard and replaced as found

Pretty cool finding a cache that has not been found for over 18 months. Even better when its a Z cache.

I had not seen a Kakuro puzzle before, so quickly read up on the rules on the Internet and after a short time discovered 'something not quite right' about this particular Z puzzle. What could the options be to resolve the inconsistency? Mmmm....what about this? Looking good. And as the puzzle gradually started to take shape, my confidence grew. And a solution popped out first time!

Now for the find.

Geokid #2 was keen to get out on such a beautiful summer afternoon and so we mountain biked down to near GZ from high and then walked the last 50 metres or so in towards the sneakily hidden Z container.

The container was pretty wet...probably due to a small hole in one of the top corners combined with the heavy rains we've seen since Sep/Oct of 2016 and through this unusually wet summer. So we took the container, its 3 dice, pencil, log scroll and plastic bag out and dried them as best we could for 10 mins. The log was then signed before we returned the container and its container to the hiding location.

A very pleasant caching experience with geo-kid #2, offering plenty of time to soak up the beautiful surroundings.

Many thanks Zytheran.

Returned today for another search after finding another nearby. Wearing appropriate clothing this time, as well as being armed with some hints from some previous finders, but didn't take account of how wet and boggy this creek bed has become during all the recent rains. And then the heavens opened up and sent me running for cover. hope this one hasn't washed away with the recent rains (and those really heavy ones back a couple of months). I will keep this on the watch list and will come back to try again another time.

29-Mar-16
Had a look for this one for a while today, but so much undergrowth and blackberry bushes at GZ, it hampers the search a lot. I did manage to find the bee tree mentioned in others' logs. Will come back another day when wearing more appropriate clothing for a search in that area.

I'd not done a Kakuro before, so I didn't have any preconceptions. Maybe that's why it didn't take as long as a usual Zytheran puzzle Smile. A few false starts did give me some ideas, though.

So, puzzle soled, TJOT and I set off from home on our bikes on a GLORIOUS winter's morning and we were soon at GZ. The iPhone 6 was immune to the GPS jammer and we soon found the cache. The log was a tiny bit damp but OK.

TNLN, thanks Zytheran

x+y=1 where x and y are integers greater than zero. Indeed something is not quite right. Once that was set right I soon had a GZ that the checker agreed with!
We approached this one in a somewhat straight line from Long Gully RS and that was an interesting walk. Down, up and then down again. The last down bit had the most blackberries...
Quick find at GZ which was good because it then started to rain...

As I doubt I'll be S.A. for a while I thought I would drop a note saying I absolutely loved the puzzle. Like others I saw the "1" and "2" etc and thought there must be something wrong. I really felt my brain got a good workout figuring this one out. TFTP!

Solved several Z caches in the past year or so and finally got my chance to come to Adelaide and pick up a few near where my brother, Long 76 lives in Upper Sturt. So, armed with the caches , 2 GPS units, 4 mountain bikes, 2 nephews and one mutt on 4 legs, off we went on a cache hunt. After finding one nearby, down we went to this one, and surprise surprise, we often pick blackberries here. Lovely spot if I may say so, Thanks.

Worked with brother, mtbikeroz, on a few local caches, then when he was over here, sons, dog and us went for a mountain bike ride and trek in the park to collect a few caches. I can tell you about a hole in the blackberries here, but I'll keep that for another day. Thanks for the cache.

The puzzle isn't quit right. My brain isn't quite right. At GZ, my GPSr wasn't quite right. The terrain wasn't quite right. My thinking wasn't quite right. The location of the cache was 'just right'.

If only I could see attributes on my GPSr!! Like Huurtle I walked through the thorny bits, passed the bee tree, jumped fallen logs with my GPSr flitting about like a hyperactive lost dog. You know you're in the right spot when you find the bees. I backtracked a little. Everywhere I had been 'wasn't quite right'. Eventually, managed to get some solid lock and found the RIGHT spot!! Had the answer for this but hadn't been to Belair National Park for years. We made a caching/Christmas get together with friends and we headed for Belair. Presents were exchanged, a picnic with yummy food and drink then off a caching we did go. This was one that we came to do and after a good walk, a well hidden cache was found by Aussie Mark. TFTC and the puzzle Z!

Group picnic / caching day in Belair National Park with Aussie M&M, Mogni, Muff1 and Deb'n'Franc. Mr M having done his homework prior to the day had this one solved. Whilst some broke out the cheese and biscuits for afternoon tea a quick walk nearby turned up this little cache. Sometimes it's handy to hang out with smart people. - although I will try to solve it anyway. Thanks Zytheran. Big Grin

2nd Z cache today. Wow.
Nice spot, but of course I upped the terrain by taking wrong track and then going bush in a beeline to the bee tree, through the blackberries. While in the park today, I got a fair bucket of blackberries for the team to consume later. However I digress...
Puzzle wasnt as hard as I thought it may be. Solved it twice now, once just after it was released, and then again the other day, since the gz I had was only stored in the gps, which we all know by now has been destroyed! I digress again....
Locating cache however proved more difficult at gz.
After half an hour of searching, I phoned the Frog, who told me roughly where to look and the container type. Well, whilst I am grateful for the help, both answers turned out to be incorrect!
Found it on my own in the end! lol

Thanks

Solved a few weeks ago and today was the day to venture this way. Surprisingly didn't take too long to solve, all the numbers seemed to come together easily. Trampled the blackberries a bit, found the bee tree and then spent ages searching 13m away. One jogger caught us looking around, but was satisfied with us checking the blackberries. Was going to give up, but one last check revealed the cache. In a slightly different direction, but not far from where we'd focussed the search. TFTC

Spent about half an hour wading through blackberries and other assorted thorns but couldn't come up with the prize. Maybe next time. Thanks anyway Zytheran...another part of the park I hadn't been to before.

14-Aug-11
Great puzzle to start with. I hadn't come accross this variant before. Luckily all the numbers fell into place quite quickly as I don't think there is a solver for this type.

Something wasn't quite right today as the geoson wasn't with us and the geo wife was! (see attached)

The experience at GZ was pretty much like with most previous finders: Prickles, tree, bees, move 13m and Bingo!

Today's walk couldn't have been more perfect as it was simply a glorious day and we even spotted 6 koalas; one of which we could almost touch (see photo).

Thanks Zytheran for yet another great nature cache. As a matter of fact we spent that much time in this area, we ran out of time to visit your third cache in this neck of the woods. Oh well, a good excuse to come back again.

30-Jul-11
Solved and went hunting for this one the other week with no success...returned again with aroset today for another go. Was getting out the anti-blackberry gloves when the following conversation ensued:

A: I'm going to have a look around here.
B: No, I don't think it'll be there. GPS says that way. Besides, I checked the logs, Malco said 13m south of the bee tree.
A: Well 13m is about right. I'm gonna have a look.
B: Fine. Come on though, it's a Z cache, surely he wouldn't have hidden one there.
A: There's something weird here.
B: What, really? Oh look. A cache.

Props to aroset. Clever hide Zytheran!

Finally got around to going for the walk and finding this one. Had the Geodog with me and she was wondering what I was up to.

Found something not quite right but took a call to the Astro Hotline to confirm what I was looking at. Another "Z" cache of the list. TFTC. Big Grin

22-Apr-11
Stumbled across the container whilst going for a walk in the park. Got our interest and we joined up.

16-Apr-11
Had this solved back in the noughties, and had had a quick reccy while on the way to another Z cache further up the valley back in '09. Gave up when I saw the dancing bees. Today I was back and despite tempting fate with the hive and wading through waste-high blackberrys, I was still uncached. The phone for a lifeline wasn't connecting so I moved out from under the leaves for a clear signal, contacted dial-a-cache and had it explained to me that it lay about 13m south of where I was searching - under my very feet as it turned out. So find the bees and move 13m from there. Simple. What's right about that?

15-Apr-11
Solved the puzzle months ago - thanks to a tip off from Mrs o'cholio on what might not be right. Then spent a few hours solving the puzzle.

Was riding the bike with Toddler Tardis on the back as I live 1.5kms from GZ (in a straight line). Got near GZ, and had a bad feeling that I'd need to go traipsing through blackberry as my GPSr said another 8m into the "danger zone".

Fortunately common sense prevailed, and I re-read the cache description and realised I was probably in the right spot. Hopped off the bike and had a good look around, and sure enough I found a very well concealed container safe and sound. SL. TFTC.

One less close-to-home puzzle off the list. Smile

Day 255 of non-stop caching.

03-Feb-11
There was definitely a lot of not-rightness in this one. Firstly, Mrs O solved it all by herself. That's not right! Then Mr O went to find it, and found a beehive (undoubtedly placed by Zytheran) where GZ was indicated. At least he knew he was in the right spot! That was avoided, and about an hour was spent searching here and there while getting shredded by blackberries before a break was in order. On returning, the GPSr indicated yet another GZ, with half-reliable accuracy. Not right. Then the mobile phone decided it would die (unexplainably) and not turn back on. More unrightness. After another half an hour of failed searching, Mr O threw the towel in - and decided to search somewhere else on a hunch on the way back to the bike. What do you know? The GPSr indicated yet ANOTHER GZ with reliable accuracy. But this was different. There was a cache there Big Grin. Very frustrating and time consuming, this one. And funnily enough, the phone came back to life shortly afterwards. Methinks foul play is afoot here! TFTC Z.

20-Dec-10
There was something not quite right. The arrow was pointing 80 metres UP the hill, so up I went. Then the arrow pointed 80 metres DOWN the hill, so that's what I did. I found a suitable stump and had a good fossick around, all to no avail of course, as it was showing 30 metres out. I came across the buzzing tree and gave it a wide berth. Now down to 20 metres. It was just about then that instincts outweighed instrumentation. Thanks for the puzzle and cache Zytheran!

The only thing not right here were our gps's but we ignored them and looked in the obvious spots and Trail06 spotted it.

A puzzle that has been a long time solved and waiting for a day in the park to get found.

Another great cache in the Adelaide Hills, and a lovely walk as well! Thanks heaps!

16-Oct-10
We enjoy the hunt for a cache so don't usually read logs or hints until we are stumped on the search. Sometimes it can bite us on the bum a bit like this one.
Started by approaching from the top path. Bad move. Then had the GPSr take us around in circles. Found a nice big tree in the middle of the blackberries that looked promising close to what was our GZ. Poked all around the base of it with lots of potential hidey holes. Hmmmm, are trees meant to hum? Whoops, a bee hive close to my head as I'm crawling around the tree. Luckily it was early, cold and wet and they weren't too active. Finally ended up where we thought it could possibly be and had a quick look with no luck. Read the logs then and found we were indeed at the right spot so looked a little harder and finally found the cache.

06-Feb-10
Something not quite right indeed. Took us ages to solve this, and even then we were one figure short. Some experimental plotting on an orienteering map for likely spots and wouldn't you know it, our first guess in geochecker was right.
No real GPSr antics at GZ unless you count the inability to find any satellites from the entrance gate to the car park. Did some cache maintenance at the request of the owner but the environment is currently in expansion rather than retraction so the cache is not quite where it should be.
Popped in a pathtag.

24-Jan-10
Something is not quite right. Something shonky. Some dubious underhanded evil logic going on here.

Freddo can confirm that your Garmin GPS will throw wobbly at GZ.

Nice stroll in the park.

24-Jan-10

Well everything was correct for the Magellan. [^] 2m accuracy at ground zero. Even the sign on the way to GZ made sense. We knew we were on the correct approach. Nice stroll - and even the last few metres were flat. Clear skies Zee.

The perfect Z spot Twisted. No phone coverage (for me) and a GPSr going crazy.

We spotted something that was not quite right. After an unsuccessful prod or two, we turned our attention to where the GPSr was indicating. Big mistake [xx(].

After about an hour, and four legs full of blackberry thorns [B)], I decided it was phone-a-friend time. There is a Z pathtag in that cache!

It was now more important than ever to know winterdragon. But, after wandering around for a bit looking for coverage, I realised that his phone number was not in my phone [?]. More evil Z magic.

I put out the call to three fellow cachers and received one reply. Thanks Wibbles Cool. Then I spoke with WD40 who told me to go back and look at the something that was not quite right. Turns out that the cache was there all along Red Face---the previous finders had hidden it well. But at least we now have a Z pathtag [^].

Our plans of continuing on our original walk disintegrated---it was time to go home for a lie down!

Thanks WD40 for the help Big Grin and thanks Z for the cache (I enjoyed the puzzle too---very neat).

The power went off at work at 4PM today for some building work, so I had to leave early. You can imagine how upsetting that would be, so I needed something to take my mind off it. How about a long drive to Belair, and help out the McKee Clan by checking out that cache I thought. That would be a kind thing to do...

Found myself back in a beautiful little spot that I've been before, and had thought that it needed a cache. The McKee's had left an impressive geotrail, but I searched around for something not quite right, and there was the cache - nice camo Smile. Looks like I only just made it in time to steal the *FTF*.

By the way, as I was walking to GZ, my GPSr went beserk, jumping between two different positions every couple of seconds. I had to restart it before it would settle down. Either something not quite right with the latest firmware, or Z is testing a new difficulty enhancing device here.

TNLN - Thanks Zytheran!
