I've decided to archive, as the original location was chosen as it had a webcam pointing directly at it.
But alas the webcam has gone, and the spot is rather awkward for surreptitious searching, so I won't be replacing in the same spot.
Hopefully I may be stop and find a better, less muggly spot, as it is a great area to visit with the anchors. $1 Tug boat and old Torpedo Station Gun.
It has been fun reading all the logs so far, and even more fun early on with webcam photos.
Cheers

Thats now 5 DNF's and nobody has seen it in for 8 months. Can the owner chack it is still here please so we can come back for another try.
My caching buddy, the GOTH with purple hair was in town so it was time for a full days caching. . The cars were rolling in and spilling out people dressed in Black, white, teal and silver. The Port Power had just beaten the reigning premiers Sydney at AAMI. We thought we could join the celebration with a smiley. Alas we joined Crows supporters (who had lost to the same team at the same location 1 week earlier), with a frown and a DNF. Did find a piece of fishing line on the ground...but hey it is the Port.
No luck with this one. Not sure if its still there or not but we looked all over the area we thought it should be and couldn't see anything
Irac-, Jeremiah Bullfrog and I did not have any luck today with this one. It is my 3rd attempt. I will watch to see when some one finds it as I think it is gone. Thanks
Finally.
I no longer have a reason to have family meals here.
I could feel it and eventually got it out.
Now for the darning multi.

Had a relatively clear place but then they turned up.
20 bike riders proceeded to ruin my day.
Despite this I could feel it in it's spot, but couldn't get it out.
Another visit will be required.

Headed north to attend the International Geocaching Day Dinner at North Haven caching along the way. After the Dinner, a convoy of cars cached the Penisula finishing after midnight. It was agood night caching.
All quiet here tonight - finally off the list. TFTC.

Found with a great bunch of people after a dinner up in North Haven, we attempted to see if one of us could get a picture from the webcame but at nearly midnight we thought it best not to try and ring someone to get the shot for us. TFTC
I was fortunate enough to be out with some great people for some group caching after attending the nearby International Geocaching Day - meals and memories! tea event.
This was locus cache no 5 out of 10 caches for me tonight.
A nice little spot to see beautiful reflections in the water on a still night.
Shame my netbook was back in my car so we couldn't get a webcam picture

We were having dinner next door and we saw that there was a cache within 35 metres. So off we went and it was a relatively easy find for one of the members of our group. Nicely hidden cache and the food and company was great too! TFTC
Hotel full of people, but still managed a find, unnoticed.
Couldnt find the link for the webcam. Bugger
Thanks

Thought I wouldn't get this one tonight, as their was half of Adelaide having a meal here.. and the fact I didn't bring my caching tools... But I was pleasantly surprised to get the cache with minimal problems.

Fairly easy find, especially with miss 6 attracting the attention playing on the structure whilst I inconspicuously removed, signed and replaced log. Very surprised to find a treasure. Took the treasure and left one in its place, TFTC!
searched for this one last year. Glad to find it today and get it off the CNF list.
Found during an afternoon of caching in the western suburbs and along the LeFevre Peninsula. Not my first visit here, but this time successful! Thanks for the cache Calumphing Four!
Spotted the cache when we pulled up on our bikes. Pub was busy with lots of customers milling about. Managed to retrieve and replace the cache whilst admiring the view and local history. TFTC
Wow this place gets busy on a Sunday afternoon. Thank goodness Mr Tardis has his bike with him, as he was able to lean it up against the structure and "fix it" which getting the cache. SL. Thanks for the cache
A quick find with AussieM&M!!! Early enough that the area was very quiet!! Thanks Calumping four for the hide!
Found on a day out with CP. Good little hide. Would have LOVED to stay for a coffee, but.... onwards to the next cache.
Our second attempt at this one. Having noticed it had been replaced and being in the area for a Kettle Boy's cricket game we had to give it another go. No time for a beer today though.
Thanks C4
Thanks C4
Mr Honeysucker replaced this log.. and tucked it away a little further in.. hopefully it will last a little longer... at least for a few more people to sign.!
Found and signed replacement log.
Found and signed replacement log.
finally got here with no one around and we searched all over but alas the cache had gone so after confuring with a previous finder we replaced the cache in the exact spot they said hope this stays awhile.
Hmmm. The webcam has been dead for a year now, but I'll check for a new container. Otherwise I may find a new spot nearby, as it is a pleasant spot with dolphins going past, the anchors, and the $1.00 Tug boat for a traditional.
Cheers

No find, and lost magnet

Will need to return another day with more patience or more thinking ability to get this one.
Last time we were down here, we had a good look and alas, it wasn't there. This time it was a much easier retrieval because the cache was actually there. Certainly can;t complain about a lack of car parking for the pub, huh?
Tricky little hidey spot. Nice little spot on the river, especially if you have time for a beer and watch the dolphins who are usually here, but not today. Unfortunately I caught a whiff of the sheep ship which is in the inner harbour unloading sheep. (They all forgot their passports and so their big trip to the other side of the globe has been delayed a couple of weeks!)

Bugger, the pub was shut and I really felt like a beer. You'd think that a pub would be open at 7.30!? ...... Oh yes, it was 7.30 am
Strangely enough I found another empty log book. Was this a replacement for the replacement? Anyway in absense of a beer I drove on to work where they make soda ash which is used in bottles which are used to store.... beer!
Cheers!

returned after deciding where cache was located as there were too many muggles around. managed to grab with fingers but was a little tricky as the cavity it quite large and it kept sliding backwards! all good in the end but was glad I returned at midnight to retrieve as I would have looked mighty suspect! Thanks calumphing_four!
A little too early for a beer this morning, but I'll have one in celebration later on. Been waiting for the return of this one for some time. I came prepared, armed with an assortment of paraphernalia (wire, duct tape, torch, stick, magnet) to extract this critter, but in the end, it was pretty straightforward. I don't think the camera is still operating, but none the less, I felt pretty exposed in the middle of the port.

Found by Elroy, the youngest member of the George Jetson family.
Nice hide, since it was Sunday afternoon, we had to be careful of muggles. Also my GPSMAP60CSx played up with directing us to the cache, I had to pull out the ol' trusty GPS12 to get us to GZ. TFTC

Great Cache, found by team member Little Miss Giggles as Little Miss Sunshine wasn't able to come. We had to avoid Muggles and then our GPS was malfunctioning. Good hiding spot although Little Miss Giggles had to dig around GZ to get it. TFTC

Went out for a look... Found it but couldn't get to it without being seen... will return in the dead of night...
Cache is back in place after stopping by this morning.
A beautiful morning down by the pub.
Even spotted an old gun from the Torpedo station nearby, over by the $1 Tug.
Happy Hunting.
Cheers

Deciding that we would cross the bridge on our walk around Port Adelaide, it started pouring down and we had to retreat to the markets. After the rain stopped, we jumped in our cars and headed over to grab this one. It was quite busy at the pub today, so we had the kids out and about playing while the fisherman fished. As we looked for the cache, we kept drawing a blank. Go Vans ended up looking at the hint, but that made no sense either. After another 10 minutes of searching, we decided to look at the previous logs to see that the cache wasn't even there. [B)]
Well, it's not really a DNF then [?]
At least the pub had beer.

We didn't realise that this hadn't been found in months - .... and according to the logs isn't there. And yes, the pub did have beer [^]
Had a quick look and no luck ... however, I went home with a smile on my face.

Going to the Tavern Wednesday night, will this one be back by then? I can replace if you give me enough instructions.
Went caching with my mum this morning, and we ended up at the Birkenhead Tavern for lunch.
We thought about trying for the cache but decided against.
As it turns out, just as well we didn't try.

Found at 12:05 by Olga. This looks like a nice place for a drink or a meal, and the smell from the pub was making us hungry. It seems a little out of place for the surrounds.
I found this cache weeks ago, perhaps even a month ago. Not sure how I missed logging. It did take a few goes though due to muggles. TFTC.
What a good idea, had a beer and lunch with flipper and co after finding the cache on a cool spring day TFTC
Knew where it had to be, but that didn't stop us looking everywhere else!!!!! Finally found for a quick sign and replace while the patrons across the road were none the wiser! TFTC
Took a seat in the rare spring sunshine, and then back to the car for a piece of wire!
Duly found and signed.

Came here awhile back for a meal, so knew where to look, and it was full of beer drinkers today, we took pictures and Gayle managed the extraction and sign while Mark was taking more pictures, so thanks for the sunny Sunday smilie.

this one was our 100th find, lots of muggles also having that beer, but none were too bothered by us

Haven't they done this place up? Had Shazadam at the PC waiting to take a snapshot of us but couldn't get it to work. Went inside and inquired about the camera with management - 'It's being fixed tomorrow'. Oh well. Then it was time to get the cache, but I think half the pub was out there looking at a pod of flippered friends cruising the river. Fear not - we had a baby and a camera and everyone else was looking the other way. Simple but the thrill was great at no-one even suspecting. Slunk back to the car to SL. TFTC
Nice hide, nice spot. Geonana in the car even had the pleasure of seeing 2 graceful dolphins swimming past. Thanks.
Found it nice quick due high muggle this time.Nice view this area.Haven't make time for cool drink. Will do it next time.S.L.

Stopped by after seeing ironman 2 at the odeon, had us stumped until we read the clue then hubby found it straight away. TNLNSL
Third time lucky. This time I brought a visiting muggle friend and we celebrated the find with a beer afterwards. Perfect! TFTC C4.
Found quickly late on a Sunday night. No one around to watch me looking in obvious spot. TFTC
Found this one under the cover of darkness. I enjoyed the location -- I am a fan of waterside caching . No muggles nearby to hamper efforts to find the cache quickly. Thanks Flipper&Co!
Nice pub, we have been here for a meal, today though it was finding the cache and heading off to the next one. Took us a little while to retrieve and replace the cache. Thanks The Calumphing_Four
now we have the 100 find trackable we are just getting around to logging it through.
Parked and looked for the camera, amazing how well behaved the kids are knowing they are being put straight on the net.
Signing the cache was filled with laughter as the kids were waving at the camera to let you all know we found it......
Lovely views here, thankyou.

Hahahaha I had an actual photo of you retrieving the cache but drcided it gave away it's exact location...
We called in on Saturday at about 1500hrs. There were two young boys playing on the structure and Dad sitting nearby watching them. While Boxer cased the joint I took photos. Dad came over and shooed the boys off so I could photograph the actual anchor. We found a likely orifice and I was able to reach into it. I could just touch the cache, but not retrieve it. I felt for fishing line, but to no avail.
We didn't want to go away and come back with a tool - we were being watched too closely. So we left and called in again Sunday morning. We were suprised to see almost as many people around as there was yesterday. Our deed was done quickly, although I wasn't able to capture us on the webcam.
Thank you for enticing us once again to stop and appreciate our world.

I was surfing through GCA and saw this cache posting. Popped onto the sight and Lo and behold, I caught me a cacher or 2 ...
We had some time to spare between Grange and West Lakes but no GPSr. Then I remembered this cache---I could find it without a GPSr as I watched when it was initially placed .
It was a busy place tonight, but we found it with no problems as it was quite exposed. Tried to hide it a little better.
Waved at the camera, but I doubt anyone was watching.
Thanks C4.
