TFTC We did not find the geocache,Spent 1 hour trying to find it. We enjoyed the walk though and it was still good fun
Had to do a double take on the spot I thought it was before actually spotting it. Nice little hunt and a good addition to the afternoon walk. Dad isn’t a fan of the spikes though…
Today the aim was to clear the Sturt Gorge Recreation Park of the few remaining traditionals that I had left to find. It took three and a half hours and two walks but I left the area with mission accomplished and my cardio exercise done.
This one was the last found on the second walk. Almost came at this one from above but thankfully decided to go the longer, easier way. Creek was easily crossed and cache found, Lid is well past it's use by date so left upside down in an attempt to keep the water out but a new container is really needed.
Thanks to openwheeler for putting out this cache for me to find.

Little hard at first, but found in the end! Used the creek way of getting to the geocache
Found It!
A quick find here while on a nice Saturday afternoon walk!

Was a wet creek bend after the rain but the cache is in great condition. Ended up on the wrong side of the creek originally but then spotted the hide. TFTC!
This morning g I had 2 hours to kill before work so decided to go for a nice walk around the local area where I am currently staying. What a stunning day!
Parked up the top of the hill and made my way down, the creek was bone dry which made it very easy to cross, cache was then easily found, stamped and returned to its hiding spot.
Thanks for the cache.

I was in the area checking on some work I had contractors undertaking and thought it was a good opportunity to grab a cache.. TFTC..
Beautiful walk in the gorge with Squeak11. She beat me to it. Very dry today. Tftc
Who reads the instructions when going to a cache? Not me! I cam in from the North and it was "fun". South would have been nearly so interesting.
GPS was having a bad day today, so when I finally put it down a opened my eyes, I was right where I needed to be.

getting the last few caches left in the sturt gorge. After all the recent rain it was a very wet and flowing creek bend. cache fine, log dry.
Yep better to enter from north. Found a nice stone staircase to north on way out
Lovely day for a walk in Magpie Gully - the creek had just started to run after evening rains - found in the first place we looked - signed log
Over the past few weeks I have been caching after dropping off daughter at Flinders Uni. Kept seeing the same name in the logs. AnyMules. So gave him a call and we teamed up to do some caching together today. Had a great day, doing some 'out of the way' caches. Although I only got 10 smilies I left 5 fav points on the caches. That would have to be the highest ratio ever. [^]
Already down in the gorge to do another cache we decided to walk along the creek to this one before the trek up and out. A quick find. Dropped off a TB. Thanks openwheeler

A visit to Adelaide and a cache up with Ozibags. Picked this one up along the way to another cache near the Dam. TFTC openwheeler
Found while out and about with a geocaching friend visiting from Queensland. TFTC openwheeler.
Lovely park.must explored more in cooler weather.a small amount of water in dry creek bed after the january rains.tftc
Up this way taking daughter to dance performance so thought I'd use the time while waiting to check out some nearby caches.. Nice walk down and soon realised where this was once phone gps settled down.. What a lovely area. Would like to come back for a longer walk one day.. TFTC..
I needed a 2.5/3 for my D/T matrix and Dry Creek Bend was only a very short (horizontal, a bit more vertical ) detour from my ride home from Flinders. A really lovely spot. TNLN, thanks openwheeler
You know how the first warning icon says not at night ??? Well...on the very first day that daylight saving ended we headed out to find this one....in the evening. Usually its still light at this time.....oh. Anyway we got there in the end but the Commando run we made to return to the car before darkness fell was even more memorable....tftc and the adventure.
Mr Tardis had a nice walk down here on a warm Spring afternoon. Yet another reserve that I hadn't explored before.
I can see the walk down from the road could be a little challenging in wet weather.
The cache lived up to its name with the creek being dry.
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache openwheeler.

Hahaha ... a bit of a scramble at the end for 2 old ducks...!!!
A lovely area that I've never visited before despite living up this way for years...!
Thanks openwheeler ... you've introduced us to a new area bushwalking area.
Brought 5x TBs to visit.

Creek still had some water in it today, very pretty little location. Ate my lunch nearby and spotted a very pretty red-browed finch taking a bath in one of the waterholes. Thanks for the cache openwheeler!
Geodog took point on our walk from recceing a site for a new cache. We trekked over in glorious sunshine and after a bit of squabbling from the geokids we settled in for a lovely walk. Jay Radney found this hide in seconds flat after we hit the GZ. We forgot our swaps box, but in my backpack were some headphones which we swapped in, and swapped out kangaroo. Left slightly damp logbook out to air off as I logged it. Thanks openwheeler for the cache.
Found at 13:41 while Medusa helped with the Flinders Uni open day. I thought I could squeeze one more cache in before picking her up at 2. Just made it I think.
A lovely walk (lucky the rain held off), which warmed me up nicely on this cold day.

Right in our backyard....almost! Our daily walking spot with our dogs, it is so beautiful all around the gorge, well worth a visit or 2 or 5. Loved it, great hiding spot! Thanks
Found after a steepish walk down the hill. Lucky it was quite a cool day. Thanks for the cache openwheeler!
Yay. 150 for me. Glad I got this milestone while visiting Adelaide from Brisbane. I came from the south as visiting a friend a street away. Wow it's steep as I only had thongs on. Not my normal caching attire. Went too high at first then re read the name of the cache which helped. Thanks for hiding. I think I talked a friendly neighbor into joining us cachers.
We found a great place to park and went for a stroll into the park for this one. We were so busy checking out everything that we walk on past the cache hide. Back we went and took ourselves to the correct place to collect the cache. T 1 x TB SL TFTC
Found on a lovely sunny but still damp day. The creek is running. The scent of the flowering bridal creeper at the site of the cache is wonderful, its a pity its a feral plant. I let the creeper be but did take trash out. I feel a little guilty for leaving it but then there are lots of other ferals, all pretty, in the area.
Thanks Openwheeler.
Thanks Openwheeler.
Great walk down Sturt Gorge. This weekend the creek level was low enough to get over and continue our journey a bit further towards the see. Does anyone know ehy further down the track there are lots of golf balls? TFTC
Creek bend it is but dry it was not. Nothing like some winter rain to restore flow along these little creeks and tributaries. A mere 200m from the road and nothing but the sound of a babbling brook.........and a lawnmower. Dropped off Mega Wagga TB (the TB that just won't die), TFTC openwheeler.
A quick find in a nice location. There is definitely plenty of water around at the moment.
Took TB to move on to another location. TFTC.

Furthered my discovery of Sturt Gorge. Pleasant walk down to the cache and an easy find at the bottom of the valley. Took TB and Pathtag and dropped of Maisie TB.
Nice walk down to the cache, but a bit of a struggle back up, for an old man. [:p] Quick find and sign and travel bug drop off.
Thanks for the hide,
openwheeler.

While wandering around the area at night paying attention to another cahce, Waterlogged and I took a short diversion to make the find. The area was a little fun to get into at night; I went for the low road while Waterlogged more appropriately "Found the plastic" up higher. Thanks openwheeler for a nice break, now back to it!
Nice exercise to get down to the creek as it started drizzling. Thanks openwheeler.
While out wandering in the dark we made a diversion to this spot. Certainly not a dry creek at the moment!
Made a nocturnal visit to the cache, so didn't get to see any of the chainsaw damage. A nice area that could do with some more caches .
TNLN - Thanks openwheeler!

Creek not dry today. Had to jump across it. Nice stream of water flowing. TFTC openwheeler
As per usual I did not read the description before arrival and came from the south - nice slippy slidy approach

Went hunting in the evening, just before sunset. Great location, will have to walk those trails some more. Spotted a koala on the way back from GZ in a tree that looked orange due to lack of bark (possibly the koala's doing).
TFTC, TNLN.

Needed to get some exercise so we were happy to do the hike to gz. Thanks openwheeler
There can be no sweeter sound than that of water babbling in the brooks [^]. Pleasingly, this cache is not living up to its name, and the easy walk down from Mountbatten Rd was very pleasant on this cool, overcast day. Nice cache in a great location. Thanks for bringing me down here. No swaps. Cheers .
It rained overnight and I wasn't confident about getting out today but the rain had stopped when I left home so I gave this one a go.
Wandered down the hill and crossed the creek and then found the cache surprisingly quickly.
A spot I hadn't been to before.

This find marks day 200 of consecutive finds!
Having spent time walking around this area over the last couple of weekends checking out control sites for todays orienteering event I knew, to within a few metres, were this cache would be (yes, you could say I cheated and was watching the GPSr as I walked past, but I didn't approach the cache until today) which made todays find an easy one. I made the find this morning while putting out the last of the controls for the event.
Thanks for the cache openwheeler.

lovely walk down Craigburn Road to end. Geoaunt remembers learning to drive along this stretch...the old Morris 1100 and trusty Dad at her side guiding through the gears. Geohound was useful in helping pull Geoaunt up the more direct wide track but she preferred the gentler track along the fence! Geoteen just strode on and made the find easliy! TFTC.
Oh, yes, and we saw a sleeping echidna! How fantastic!

Had ridden out to First Against the Wall with Jimmy01 so decided to try for this one on our return. Stashed the bikes in the bush at the top of the hill and walked down. Quick find. Thanks openwheeler
This was a nice, pleasant walk down along the fire track this morning [^].
Took keyring bottle opener. Left kangaroo. SL.

A quick stop on way to work on this our Proclomation Day (NOT Boxing Day holiday) holiday Monday @ 0630.
A very peaceful area, and could feel the heat back at the road after being in the cool of the gully.
No water flowing today, and probably won't be for awhile now...
TNLNSL
Thanks

I enjoyed a lovely stroll straight down the hill. Certainly is dry at the moment. The bush scene will look much better in winter. There was someone in the park on a motorcycle today.
This is just what the Dr ordered after Christmas lunch. A pleasant stroll, just long enough to enjoy with a cool cleansing ale to help wash the turkey down. No one about, except the occasional waft of distant laughter with a hint of a carol.
Clear skies from TeamAstro. Love Xmas day caching [^]. Our thanx to openwheeler
Called past here this morning on my way south for a little exercise.
There is actually a little water in the dry creek at the moment. Not enough to flow though!
- keyring, + spider.
Cheers

Went for a walk on the way to work. Opened the cache and found a virgin log book - after two days. This is the second *FTF* on a openwheeler cache in a week.
A nice walk and a quick find although the creek wasn't all that dry this morning. Grabbed the GC to move on. TFTC.

Good bit of hard yakka. Slipped then grabbed a prickle bush lesson learnt. Took brasil left gecko TFTCSL Silver twice today
Cache includes a Geocoin (tracking no. CS0GKT) If you take this coin, please place it in another cache as far away as possible as soon as you can. I'd like to see how far it can travel. Thanks.
