Walked in from the car park at the eastern end of Cox’s scrub. Very hot and windy spring day today. Intended to drop a TB from Flinders here but turns out I’ve left it at home
Bit of a trek but great spot for a cache. Found with PSGV1, Kaise123 and others. TFTC!
No chance my car was making it up here.... Made it across the water but the bollards made it impossible to get to the track... Not that the car would have survived aha
Container looking a bit worse for wear but still alive and kicking!

Has been too long since I last did this. Went for a bit of a wander this arvo to get some exercise and managed to locate this after a short search. Sat lock was a little tricky but located after looking in what I thought would be the most logical spot. Great spot TFTC.
While working in mt compass on a new skate park and bike track red was lucky enough for work to put the team in a great farm stay accommodation only 250 metres from the cache. So after work one after he decided to make a find on this one. Container was still reasonably dry even after a good rain the last couple of days. Tnlnsl, tftc. We will be sure to adventure further from this location.
Wow it has been a while between visits for this unloved cache. I nearly lost my pen but retraced my steps and there it was hanging off the fence. A great walk, well worth the effort and time to grab this one.

This was one we wanted to target in particular for a couple of reasons.
1: The DT was useful
2: We don't mind a 4WD water crossing if available.
Unfortunately the adjacent NP is closed to vehicle and so approaches from the EAst, then South, then West all failed.
Eventually we tried from the North. We got our river crossing but there it ended. Still 385 metres to go so it was shanks pony time.
Approaching GZ it was protected by a mass of orb spider webs making the last 5 metres impenetrable. A bit of adjusting and we were able to get close enough to lay hands on the cache. This one was dry and in good condition although the container is showing signs of water damage.
TNLNSL
and headed back to the LC200 for another river crossing to get out.
A beautiful spot to come to.

**Out and about cleaning up some caches whilst house sitting in Mount Compass**...
*Out for a drive today with Tomboy 711 letting our GPS be our guide*...
A short stroll, a short search, found the cache, stamped the log and returned...
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment matt&jo-starr...

Found this while out on a caching afternoon with Snap Happy. This was the first of two unloved caches we found today. ... This is a beautiful spot and the creek was quite deep after the recent rain. Thanks Matt&jo-starr for bringing us here
Found while camping nearby. Glad this is now closed to the 4WDs - makes it a much more peaceful spot to enjoy the frogs and kingfishers.

Glad we came in the way we did that creek is really flowing today. Need to watch out for four wheel drivers they are all through this park and fences don' have any stopping power
We approached from the West, and parked with a 440 metre walk to the cache. We decided to walk through the conservation park to avoid all the no entry signs, but had to jump the fence in the end anyway. We enjoyed the walk anyway.
Thanks matt&jo-starr.
Thanks matt&jo-starr.
At 18km from home, and the closest to home for a long time (apart from new cache appearing),we decided to go for a drive and a walk with PG's new boots.
We did use the 4WD, but PG didn't get much use out of her boots! As we drove through thre open gate and down to within 10m of the cache!
A quick find ensued before we turned around and slipped our way back up the hill.
I remember coming to this park ages ago for a FTF, maybe it was the nearby cache called 'Finnis'?
Anyways, a great spot, and finally crossed this one off my to-do list.

Out for a drive and a walk today so called by here after a visit to my favourite bakery in Meadows Nice to find the gates open although I didn't get to stomp around in my new hiking boots as much as I had planned. Lovely area SL TFTC
Today we make our way back to Victor and after the last 2 failed attempts today we actually make it all the way grabbing quite a few caches along the way, weather was great for us today and still have many more still to find down this way, a nice quick find for us today. TFTC
Definately no place to bring your 4wd .
Roads are blocked and not sure if we should have been in there.
Walked through the conservation park to retrieve.
Certainly an interesting spot with lots of fungi along the track.
Caching with 3LG.

Walked in on a muddy track, low range engaged and made the distance. Cache container an unusual shape and well hidden.
Geocaching with Braveheart17 over the past few months in the Fleurieu area. Only just logging them all now, sorry. Love the hides and the adventures, thanks to all for the hunts. Thoroughly enjoyable.
weren't expecting the walk but enjoyed it just the same. Nice container and well hidden.

Spent the day out caching with Firesafe heading south, found on a very smokey afternoon
Spent the day out caching with honeysucker heading south. Made 46 finds, 2 DNF's and placed 4 caches for the day.
Was a little concerned with Forestry burning off on the southern side of Cox's Scrub in the strong winds. I was hoping that it didnt get into the scrub as we walked down. The smoke was almost unbearable but made the find. TFTC.

Found during a pleasant afternoon driving and caching in the Kuitpo to Mt Compass area. Enjoyed the walk down the track from the western end. Thanks for the cache matt&jo-starr!
I just read the cache notes that said the two in this area were great 4WD country, and first tackled it from the south. I should have read the logs as well .
With the southern access blocked, we came in across the Cole Crossing. The water was up, but nothing a 2” lift couldn’t handle, and didn’t need the snorkel .
Forced to park at the turn-around point, we went in the rest of the way in our leather personnel carriers. Boy, they REALLY don’t want you to drive down here, do they? Talk about overkill. Rommel couldn’t have got past those tank traps, I’d be curious to know exactly how the end of the world would have been brought about by letting vehicles travel along here, which is the only conclusion you could draw from the bullshit barriers some stinking bureaucrat(s) have erected.
…anyway, the cache brought a smile to our faces, but my experience with metal tins is that they condensate badly when the morning and daytime temperatures differ greatly and generally the whole lot ends up as a rusty mess. We put the logbook in a plastic bag, but everything else needs to go in one too. No swaps. Thanks for showing us this place Matt & Jo-Starr, even if you can’t 4WD here anymore (or anywhere else within 200k of Adelaide ).

My vehicular approach from the west came to an abrupt end about 500 meters from the cache. Walked on the old road the rest of the way. The powers that be have started rehabilitation of vegetation along the track. Unfortunately some motor bike riders have ignored this and caused quite a bit of destruction of the new plantings. There is a track on the other side of the fence.... TFTC.
They don't want you to do a drive by here any more. Big solid posts - so you know you are in the right spot. Walked in from the wrong end.
That was easy!! Love this area. I got the sube through here once or twice. Just don't drive in the big holes.
Parked the car and went for a walk to GZ. Very friendly flies but my Aussie salute kept them at bay. Found the cache in good condition and took TB. TFTC matt&jo-starr.
Nice walk up what once was one of the very few exciting 4WD tracks near Adelaide.
Easily found once we reached GZ. Made some swaps and dropped off Shelly.

The officeboys made sure noone was driving in with those logjams! And the mud is still sticky. Pity so many of the plantings have been neglected & died off. TFTC
Another great little 4WD track shut down by buracrats. There was a TB which wasnt recorded as being there so Ive grabed it to move on.

Walked in from Ridge Rd. Even without the barricades it would have been a real test for any 4X4 today. After so much rain on the weekend the track was all water and sticky mud. Loved the cache container. TFTC
Walked in from the west and crossed the barricades. Newly planted trees along the track. Lovely peaceful spot with running water. Took TB. Thanks matto&joe-starr for the cache and hunt.
An enjoyable walk toward the cache. Found it nice and easy. Left TB "Teamecko - Green Groveler"
Thanks matt&jo-starr for the cache.
Thanks matt&jo-starr for the cache.
Found while walking back to my transport at the top of the hill after visiting the other nearby cache, the council seem to be doing everything they can to discourage people driving down this track.

Walked in with TPD and continued on to the neighbouring cache. The Prado would need more than a 2 inch lift to get in here now! tftc
Walked in from the west a couple of hundred metres as the road has now been closed and serious methods are in place to prevent driving on it. Slippery when wet.
Cheers from the Posspet Boys
